SOMETHING WAS UP, BUT KIRISHIMA just couldn't put his fingers to it just yet. Everybody else in their class noticed it, and all of them were dying to know what was up too, but they were all too damn scared to approach them to ask.

It all started the day they all moved in to their dorm the weekend before they started third year. Everyone was busy getting their stuff in to their chosen rooms when out of the blue a furious Midoriya came storming in and used his quirk to super-speed himself up to the fourth floor where they knew his room wasn't located. A few minutes later everyone in the house heard Midoriya screaming followed by what they could just assume was some scuffling between the usually mild mannered Midoriya and the hotheaded Bakugo whose room Midoriya stormed in to.

Everyone wanted to be a fly on the wall in Bakugo's room at that moment, but out of respect for their classmates, Jiro and Shoji refrained from using their quirks to spy on those two. Besides, it was just Midoriya doing all the screaming and he sounded really pissed.

They all prepared themselves to call the teachers in case Midoriya and Bakugo had an all out fight, but after a few more minutes wherein which they assumed Midoriya calmed down, the ruckus in Bakugo's room stopped and about half an hour later the two emerged from his room looking like they weren't even in a fight at all.

Since then everyone in their class noticed the closeness the two formed that was lacking since they started their life as UA students three years ago. They were used to Bakugo and Midoriya being at each other's throats (usually it was Bakugo bullying Midoriya), but this shift in their relationship was so sudden none of them could wrap their heads around what could possibly have happened.

Was it a lovers spat those two had?

If so, since when did those two started dating? And were they even interested in each other in that way?!

Those were the questions circling in the heads of their classmates as they continued to watch Midoriya and Bakugo together. They barely snap at each other now, and most often than not Bakugo was seen hanging out with Midoriya.

The group chat the girls created – sans Midoriya and Bakugo since the chat was created specifically to talk about them – was blowing up his phone right now. Kirishima stopped paying attention to what they were saying about halfway through because he knew they wouldn't find the answers they were looking for unless one of them actually muster up the courage to go up and confront those two about their relationship status.

Checking his phone again, Kirishima scrolled through the messages he ignored hoping that by now his classmates already figured out a game plan on how to confront Midoriya and Bakugo.

ASHIDO: we need to find out what's going on. I can't take this anymore!

URARAKA: you're not the only one. Deku & I are close, but even he is not telling me what's going on. *pout*

IIDA: he hasn't opened up to me either.

KAMINARI: yeah, but how? And who would be brave enough to talk to Bakugo?

MINETA: i can talk to Midoriya. He's easier to deal with than Bakugo.

JIRO: Kirishima can talk to Bakugo since they're BFFs, right, Kirishima?

KIRISHIMA: and what made u think Bakugo would open up to me, huh?

MINETA: u guys have this weird bromance going on since first year. Besides, you're the only one strong enough to deflect Bakugo's quirk if he goes haywire.

KIRISHIMA: jeez, thanks a load for your faith in my ability. *eye roll* If you're scared of dealing with Bakugo, then approach Midoriya first since he's easier to talk to than that hothead.

TSU: do you think he'll talk to us, ribbit?

KIRISHIMA: didn't u guys say Midoriya's more approachable than Bakugo? I'm sure he'll talk to you guys if you ask him nicely.

A slew of responses from the others followed after he sent that last comment. He read their responses, but seeing that none of them are manning up and taking responsibility, Kirishima ignored the chat group again and opened up a new message thread for Bakugo.

He contemplated on whether to text him or not. He was locked up in his room – sans Midoriya, which was a rarity since those two were practically glued to the hip these days – down the hall from his dorm room; he hadn't heard him leave yet. Or he could just walk down the hall to Bakugo's room and talk to him in person.

He just hope this time that hothead wasn't busy jacking off; he was still scarred from the first and last time he walked in on Bakugo just as he was finishing off. Since then he became weary of going in to his room unannounced – or announced; he doesn't want to feel awkward (as well as self-conscious since damn, that jerk's dick was ginormous!) gawking at another person's pecker.

He looked at his phone again and let out a long exasperated sigh when he read their conversation. They still haven't decided yet on who should talk to who, and at this rate they'd end up not talking to either one because they were too chicken to do it.

Pushing himself off his bed, Kirishima walked to his door and yanked it open intending to head down the hall and knock on Bakugo's door to get some answers himself; whether he'd share said answers with the others was yet to be determined since they were kinda pissing him off right now.

"Whoa!" Bakugo yelped and practically fell in to Kirishima's arms the moment he opened the door.

"What the hell, man?!" Kirishima braced himself and caught Bakugo. "What are you doing?" he demanded after he prevented both himself and his unexpected guest from spilling in to his room.

"I was about to knock," snapped an irate Bakugo. He pushed himself away from him and walked around his dumbfounded friend and entered Kirishima's room without being invited.

"What for?" Kirishima frowned, sending an annoyed glare over his shoulder as he followed Bakugo's movement. He closed the door after him and followed suit.

Bakugo made himself comfortable on his bed so he was left with no choice but to pull his computer chair and sat astride it, leaning his chest against the backrest and hooking his feet on the bottom legs of the chair.

"No particular reason," he shrugged acting all nonchalant and indifferent.

"Yeah, right," Kirishima scoffed. "You're not known to come in to somebody's room, Blasty."

"Shut up, Rock Head," Bakugo growled and fell back on Kirishima's bed. "My room's starting to feel so cramped and I'm too lazy to go outside for a walk," was the excuse he gave him.

"That's a first," huffed Kirishima. "Why does your room make you feel cramped all of a sudden?" Might as well start his interrogation slow; touch on the subject Bakugo brings up himself before slowly going in for the kill.

To be honest he was as curious as the rest of their classmates were in finding out exactly what the deal was between Bakugo and Midoriya. They weren't really a couple; at least they didn't come across as one to Kirishima when he watched them. The others saw their closeness differently and assumed they were secretly dating, but that wasn't the case for him.

They certainly were keeping a secret, and their sudden closeness came as a big shock to everyone. They weren't bromance close, but close enough to often hang out with each other in and out of the dorm.

"Beats me," was Bakugo's gruff reply. "I blame Deku really," he grumbled as he rolled to his side, curling his legs so it was off the floor and he looked like he was in an almost fetal position.

"Midoriya?" he echoed, confused that the person he wanted to bring up was conveniently brought in to the conversation by the person he was supposed to be interrogating. "What about him?"

"Nothing," Bakugo shook his head and flipped back to lie on his back, stretching his legs out on his bed. "Have you ever been in a relationship, Shithead?"

Whoa, whoa, whoa! What the hell was this conversation topic? And since when did Bakugo become interested in relationships? Was he interested in someone? Kirishima couldn't recall him mentioning someone he was interested in – and it wasn't often that some bodacious babe catches the hothead's fancy either.

"Why do you ask?" Kirishima might as well roll with it and see where this topic leads. Bakugo sounded serious too when he asked, and if he made light of it he might miss his chance of getting to the root of his sudden budding bromance with Midoriya.

"Just...aaargh!" Bakugo suddenly sat up on the bed, surprising Kirishima in the process and made him almost jump off his seat.

"What the hell, man?"

"Nothing," he repeated again, but Kirishima knew it wasn't 'nothing' but a 'something' and that 'something' involved Midoriya one way or the other. It was messing Bakugo up and it was irking Kirishima's curiosity even more.

"Are you sure?" he prodded.

"Yeah," he snapped.

"I don't believe you."

"What?!" Bakugo growled, turning his angry glare at him.

Kirishima was used to receiving his friend's death glares so he wasn't fazed by it.

"Something's definitely bugging you, otherwise you won't even bother visiting my room since we both know you're not the visiting kinda guy. So, what's really wrong?"

Bakugo clicked his tongue in irritation before falling back on his classmate's bed. What the hell was he even doing here? Deku was on his secret date outside campus with Togata since it was Friday night and they wanted to watch a latest release movie. Of course the damn nerd asked him to cover for him in case anybody asked where he was or what he was doing.

He didn't ask to be that nerd and baby faced idiot's ally in their quest to keep their relationship on the down low from everybody! And yet he kept getting asked to help them (mostly it was freaking Deku he needed to help out) whenever they wanted to disappear for some 'them time' and didn't want unwanted eyes prying into their business.

"I'll figure it out," he let out a long exasperated sigh as he stared at Kirishima's bedroom ceiling. "Eventually," he added before closing his eyes.

Kirishima's eyebrows furrowed at that cryptic response he heard from the class hothead. Now he was convinced that something was bothering him, and that 'something' involved Midoriya somehow. And if he followed the girls' way of thinking, it might be something romantic that was why Bakugo was acting the way he was.

It was an unbecoming behavior from him. Kirishima didn't think he'd live to see the day that Katsuki Bakugo would be shook from his core by something as simple as liking someone. He never liked anybody to begin with; he tolerated most people around him and seldom referred to be people as his actual friend.

Heck, they've known each other for almost four years now and not once did he hear Bakugo refer to him as his friend. He had a slew of names he called him (none of them were endearing, btw), but none of those names were in any means a name of endearment.

KIRISHIMA KEPT A close eye on Bakugo since that night he came to his room and just hung out for the rest of the evening. He didn't talk anymore after telling him he'll figure out whatever it was that was bothering him, and Kirishima didn't want to pry any further. It wasn't really his thing; it was more Kaminari's style to stick his nose in to everyone's business and find out what the heck the problem was.

Since it was the weekend, they were all free to do whatever they want. Bakugo usually go to the training arena to get some training done, but this morning Kirishima saw the feisty blond still at the dorm and sitting at the dining table taking to Midoriya.

They were seated across from each other, but they were talking in hushed tones so it was hard to hear what they were discussing. But from the tension tingeing the air as soon as Kirishima walked in and the glare the two childhood friends were giving each other, it seemed to him that there was trouble in paradise.

"Good morning guys!" He broke the tension by making his presence known. "What are you two talking about?" He pulled a chair beside Bakugo and sat down. There were still food left on the table and he helped himself to a croissant and broke it in half. He was kinda hungry and too lazy to get up and grab more than the assortment left on the dining table.

"Nothing," the duo answered in unison.

Kirishima's eyebrows shot up in wonderment. Yeah, right. It wasn't a 'nothing', he thought to himself and wolfed down the half of the croissant.

"You guys sure?" he prodded, earning him a death glare from both guys. "Okay, okay," he chuckled, raising his hands up as if he was surrendering. "Jeez, it's too damn early for you two to be bickering like an old married couple." Kirishima pushed himself off his seat and walked towards the kitchen to grab him a cup of coffee. "Is this fresh?" he asked no one in particular.

"I just brewed a pot," grunted Bakugo.

"Great. Thanks, Blasty," he chuckled and happily poured himself a cup.

"Shut up, Shithead," Bakugo growled, stabbing the fat sausage on his plate and shoving it in his mouth.

"You're going to choke on that," warned Midoriya, but he didn't sound concerned at all as he himself forked the same fat sausage and took a bite off it instead of shoving the whole thing in his mouth.

"Shut up, nerd," Bakugo turned his angry glare at the green haired teen. "You're too damn dainty that's why you're having a hard time giving a proper blowjob," he added while chewing the sausage he wolfed down.

Kirishima spluttered the hot dark brown liquid he happened to be drinking when he heard what Bakugo just said.

"W-What the hell did you just say, Blasty?!" He demanded, looking wild-eyed between Bakugo who didn't seem fazed at all then to Midoriya whose face was turning a bright shade of red like a really ripe tomato.

"You're an asshole, Kacchan!" Midoriya pushed himself angrily off his seat and left the dining table in a huff. He avoided looking at Kirishima who was openly gawking at him.

"Bakugo, bro, what-what was that about?" Kirishima asked after Midoriya was out of sight.

"Ignore it. And forget what you heard," he added, finishing his breakfast by downing his coffee in two gulps. He looked at Midoriya's discarded plate and clicked his tongue. "Damn nerd being too fucking dramatic," he muttered under his breath as he cleaned up both his and Midoriya's plates.

Kirishima was left speechless by this very un-Bakugo scene happening in front of him. In the three years that they lived together, Bakugo never bothered to go out of his way and clean up after someone's mess, so seeing him picking up Midoriya's plate and cleaning up the area of the dining table they used was a shock.

Hidden from the guys' view in the dining area, the girls – plus a couple of the guys – were rooted where they were seated or standing after hearing that explosive exchange in the kitchen. They didn't know exactly what Bakugo said to Midoriya to get him riled up like that, but thanks to both Shoji and Jiro who decided to use their quirks to listen in on what was happening in the kitchen after they heard Kirishima join them they were able to hear Bakugo's comment that blew Midorya's fuse.

And like Kirishima, they were all left dumbfounded with their jaws dropping to the floor when they realized what Bakugo meant.
