Fate Personified Speaking
~Elven Language~
*Foreign Languages*
(Just easier this way than trying to find the transition in the foreign language since sometimes translators aren't accurate & I don't wish to upset someone who is fluent by messing it up and it be complete nonsense.)
Disclaimer: Only my OC belongs to me and the storyline about my OC, Twilight & True Blood do not belong to me.

Evelyn POV:
I felt strange like I was floating, but the last thing I remember was going to sleep in my soft bed. Even though my bed was soft and comfortable, I knew I would never feel as I was floating on it.
I try to recall what I did before bed. I remember giving Stefan his night time medicine & making sure he remembered not to go to bed too late streaming himself playing L.O.L (League of Legends) all night.
Then I did my nightly routine of getting ready for bed and FaceTimed Ryan for a bit to see how my little brother was doing in college. I always worried about him being so far away from the family, especially after what happened to Stefan.
After saying our good nights to each other, I settled myself in bed. I had grabbed the current book I was reading from my nightstand, The Hobbit, and read till I felt my eyes grow heavy.
Finally laying back to go to sleep and my last thoughts were -I hope this feeling I'm having doesn't end up being something bad, but good since I could use a little more good about now.- as I fell asleep.
Now here I am floating somewhere and finally finding the courage to open my eyes.
Darkness was all I could see causing me to panic. -Did I die in my sleep?! I'm still too young to die! I haven't had the chance to fall madly in love and get married & have children yet!-
I worried for my family, we had gone through my so much together after Stefan's car accident and the events that followed. Fear for my family going through more emotional pain ran through my mind.
Who would find my dead body come morning? My parents? Stefan? Would my mom come to check on me? When I usually had a pot of coffee & breakfast made for my parents to have before work. Maybe it would be my little brother that would find me, wondering why I never came with his morning medicine & telling him to get up that his breakfast was ready.
My heart was aching for my beloved family. Having to go through losing me after going through so much. Having to call Ryan that spoke to me the night before to tell him I died in my sleep. -At least I didn't die a painless death. Although if floating in complete darkness is the afterlife I was going to lose my mind. Is this Hell I didn't think I did anything that bad to end up in hell...-
"You are not in Hell." A deep loud voice echoed in the darkness. Then a bright light came out of nowhere from quite a distance from me. The closer it got to me the more the light to the shape of... -A MAN?! What I didn't say out loud! Can he hear my thoughts?!-
3rd Person POV:
Evelyn was slightly shocked before she stood a man made of light! He had no noticeable feature, but the shape of this person was clearly male. As was their voice.
Well Evelyn being well Evelyn ended up greeting him like an old friend with a bright smile on her face. "Hello there, my name is Evelyn Arabella Johnson. What's your name?" Evelyn asked nicely as possible. -For all I know this can be God.- "Also can you hear my thoughts? I never said anything about Hell out loud." She asked the man made of light.
A loud booming laugh greeted her ears. "Hello Little One. I am the one humans call Fate and sense Fate is connected to all I am able to hear the thoughts of all others. Including yourself Little One." The man of light, now known as Fate, greeted her with mirth in his voice.
-That makes sense I guess. At least I'm not the only person's thoughts he can read. That makes me feel a little better though. My thoughts are probably not the strangest or worse he has heard. I bet if he had a face I would clearly see he would be smiling at me. What a minute! Did he just call me LITTLE ONE?!- "Hey Mr. Fate! I may be short for my age, but I'm not that little!" Evelyn puffed out her cheeks as she whined. So what if she was being a bit childish, she would only ever be herself.
Fate chuckled knowing that he had made the right decision. That she was ready for what was ahead of her. That her previous world had helped her as much as could be to let her spirit truly heal and grow.
"Well Evelyn, as Fate I am one of the oldest Beings around. So to me everyone else is like children to myself, so are Little Ones." Fate said kindly. -Oh so he was referring to my age compared to his... Well now I feel like an idiot…-
"Ok Mr. Fate, well can you tell me where I am and why I am here? If I am not in Hell, am I dead and stuck in purgatory?" Evelyn asked Fate, hoping he had the answers to her questions.
"You are not dead Little One. I have pulled your very being to where I may speak to you. We are residing in a place outside of both time & space." Fate told her calmly. Evelyn wasn't really surprised, since she knew fate was unpredictable.
"Why would you want to speak to me though? I'm just a human." Evelyn curiously asked Fate. Fate was amused with her and reacted almost like a father doting on their daughter...
"Little One you are so much more than a mere human. You are an old soul destined for great things." Fate told her and Evelyn couldn't deny that she was an old soul. -I never could relate to those my age and always tended to become friends with people older than me, old enough to be my parents. Though to actually be an old soul with a great destiny as Fate says... Looks like I will get my Alice in Wonderland moment after all...-
"So I am an old soul then and what is this destiny you speak of?" She asked the man made of light with so much wonder & curiosity in her voice.
"To learn of your destiny first you must know who you once were. You are originally from another world that would be fantasy in the world you just came from. Where magic and other races besides humans exist. You were one of the oldest & immortal beings to exist in that world." Fate told her knowing it would be a lot to take in. Especially since she had believed herself to be a mortal, a human. When she was so much more.
-My soul is from another world with magic?! Wait oldest & immortal!!- Evelyn was overwhelmed, but she took a deep breath to calm herself. She had to stay calm and leveled headed to get through this. She needed answers to the questions in her mind.
"If I was immortal in this other world then I must have been something else other than human. What was I? Who was I? In this other world." Evelyn asked of Fate.
"You know of many worlds from things in the world you just came from. From myths, legends, tales of fantasy, books, movies, tv shows, video games, etc. Though not all the information is accurate, but close." Fate told her to wait to see if she was following along.
When she nodded that she understood what she was told Fate continued.
"Your original world, you know from a video game called Dragon Age. Your soul was the first spirit born into that world that embodies more than one emotion. You were whole and known as Vhenan (Heart). You were wise and powerful. No one could do what you could with magic even without taking a physical form. So great and power as a mere spirit. The ancient elves, that would later be called the "elven gods" all went to you for guidance and to learn to wield magic as you did." Fate was happy to tell her. He had missed his dear friend.
-Wow so Thedas is real and it sounds like I existed even before the fall of Arlathan. (An elven city back in ancient times of the world of Thedas from the video games of Dragon Age.) Was I an ancient elf then did I teach the supposedly "elven gods" everything they know about magic?!-
"Did I as Vhenan ever take a physical form then was I an ancient elf there?" Evelyn asked Fate, eager to learn more of her past self.
It amused Fate. It seems that her time on Earth did her soul well and healed the old wounds caused by the wars & deaths she had to witness. After all she was named Vhenan (Heart) for more than being a spirit that embodies all emotions instead of just one. It was also because she had a heart of gold. A heart that bleeds in pain and sorrow. For all those she couldn't save in those times of slavery and war.
"Yes you did. Though you made yourself a bit more than other spirit-borne. Where other spirit-borne would become ancient elves at the time. You were always unique and a bit rebellious." Fate said amused. Remembering watching over her life there and how she helped start the slave rebellion then. For freedom was always important to her.
"You were asked many times by those thought of as "elven gods" to take a physical form. Some of them wanted you to become an ancient elf to become one of the gods like them and others wanted you to do so they could possess you. For a spirit as strong as you couldn't be overpowered by them. Those who wish to possess you needed you to have a physical form to try an brand you with the slave marking." Fate spit out with distaste for those who tried to cage her back then.
Evelyn absorbed all that Fate was telling her. She was older and more powerful than even the "elven gods" that they couldn't overpower her with their magic. -If I wasn't an ancient elf like what other spirits would become at that time than what was I?-
Disclaimer: I also do not own Dragon Age.
This won't be a Dragon Age crossover. This simply explains why Fate chose her to change things and explain why she was so different. She had an immortal soul in a human body.
Though there will be moments where she remembers small details of her past life as Vhenan. Maybe if I make this into a book series then the next book may have Dragon Age & maybe another crossover. I'm not sure yet.
