This story took a turn that I never planned in the original storyline but oh well. I want you people to know that I seldom prewrite a chapter I just plan them and I start prewriting it is because I wanted to get something done that I didn't get done during the day. Sorry for my ranting. Read on. I forgot to do this as well. The bitter cold truth.

Chapter 4

Jaden P.O.V

I got a call from Lilly.

"Jaden! Is it you?!"

"Yeah Lilly, What happened?!" I asked as quickly as possible. I was still running to the arena. I quickly started recording the call. I might need this.

"Jaden, It's Ryan, He needs help and Fast."

"Where are you?"

"I was taken by- "

Lilly's voice was replaced by the voice of a man.

"Listen, kid. I suggest you go find your friend. He needs some help. I wouldn't worry about the girl, she is in good hands" Despite how soothing the voice was, I could tell it was fake. It was an act.

"Listen. I don't know who you think you are but let her go. If you lay a finger on her I swear I'll-"

"Calm down. I have a task for you. If you complete it, the girl goes free."

"Fine, what do you want? Money, me to kill someone, to cover your tracks? Name your price and I'll pay it."

"I just want you to stop a group of kids running around like they're tough. I would think you're going to your friend first but as soon as I hear that the group I want out of the game is in custody, the girl can go. I won't lay a finger on her head."

"Fine. Where are they?"

"By your little fight club. You have 1 hour."

I could see the arena from here. It was on fire! Shit shit shit.

I slammed through the door and ran through pulling my hoodie up to my mouth. I didn't care about taking breaks or being tired. I had to find Ryan.

I could see that there were holes in the walls and everything was wreaked. I was surprised that the building didn't collapse.

I found Ryan in the main yard. He was on the ground and there were several other bodies nearby.

I rushed over to him and knelt next to him.

"Are you alright? Ryan speak to me"

Ryan slowly turned his head towards me.

"Chill man, I'm not dead yet." Even though he said it jokingly, it came out really weak.

"What happened?"

"I made waffles, what do you think happened? We were attacked" He is sounding weaker

"Come on, don't give out on me man. You said it yourself, we are in this till the end."

"Sorry J, this might be the end for me."

"No. No. NO" I stood up. It was support to be Ryan and me till the end. Bro's before hoes and all of that. "Come on man. What about Lilly? What about this place?"

A sad look went over Ryan's face. "I can't take care of either. I need you to promise me something"

"No. Promise me something. Hold on Man."

"Alright." He didn't look good at all. He really must be trying but I can't let go of him just yet. He has been by my side since the beginning.

"I will promise you anything right here and now Ryan as long as you just hold on."

"Promise me you'll take care of Lilly and the arena. Don't keep this place the same. I want you to make this your agency when you become a pro"

"Ryan, tell me who did this"

"A villain with a strength-enhancing quirk. Take the security footage."

"I'm sorry I wasn't here Ryan, I could have-"

"Don't. This guy didn't kill anyone but easily could have. I know you were trying to help us all out."

"Goodbye, Ryan. It was a nice ride with you" I was so close to sobbing. I held it in. For him.

"Jaden. There are still people in here. Save them." With that, he took one last shaky breath and stopped.

I was crying. No, if, ands or buts about it. I reached down and lightly closed his eyes.

"A young soul taken too soon. Rest in peace Ryan" I said reciting something I heard somewhere before. I'm sure he would have liked it. I dried my eyes. I had to stop the fire and get some help here.

I walked over to the door and did the one thing that I only did in an emergency. I reached deep inside and yanked my power out. I let it loose.

A few minutes later the several Kilometers were frozen. Nobody was harmed. With the arena dead in the center.

I started to fall over and I heard running already. I guess everyone got the message. I was caught by a man. A large blonde man with glowing blue eyes.

~Location and time skip. Skylah P.O.V~

We rushed to the hospital as quickly as we could. Jaden wasn't hurt but he refused to leave until everyone had woken up.

We all came to Jaden arguing with a male nurse.

"I'm sorry sir but you can't go in unless you are a close friend, family, or injured yourself."

"I understand that but I made a promise. I need to make sure they're ok."

"Fine. How about this? You have 10 minutes to visit all of them."

"Deal"

What happened was all over the news. Jaden had frozen several Kilometers of land after finding his training area on fire after a villain attack.

The reason he isn't in trouble was because All Might himself had vouched for him and Jaden had caught about a dozen wanted low-level criminals.

We walked into the scene of Jaden arguing with a male nurse.

"Come on, I want to check on them. I need to know what happened" Jaden insisted

"Normally sir, We are not allowed to let you in unless you are a relative or a close friend but I'll give you five minutes to visit all of them." The man said with a sigh.

~5 Minuets later~

We were dragging Jaden home while he was searching his phone for something.

"Lilly was taken by a villain" Jaden nearly shouted

"Jaden, honey, How do we know your not just saying that so you can go hunt someone down that you really shouldn't." Our mother asked far too gently.

"Listen to this" He practically shoved his phone into my hand. I played the recording and my jaw dropped. "Alright, Jaden we believe you so wher-" I stopped talking and realized he had left. He had run off while we were listening to the recording.

~Several hours later~

I found Jaden back at the arena. There was a lot of ice still melting but the ground was had melted enough for some people (namely with fire quirks) to be able to get around easily.

He was with his back to me and was hugging Lilly. Judging by the look on her face she had finished crying. Also based on the sniffing sound I heard, Jaden had finished crying as well.

"I'm sorry Lilly."

"Don't blame yourself Jaden."

They separated. They sat down on the trunk of a tree that fell.

"It's hard. I thought my life would go like this: Strike a deal with Ryan, Grow as strong as I could, get into UA, surprise my family with the fact that I wasn't as weak as before, become a pro hero, not the best just a pro and make enough money to help Ryan with the place, get him an actual lab and just be an amazing duo" Jaden said sounding wistful and sad.

"I imagined something along the same lines as you when I met you two. I never thought this would happen" Lilly with the same sound of voice

"I made a promise to Ryan. That I would take care of the Arena and take care of you. I plan on keeping that promise and make sure I could fulfill Ryan's other wish."

"What would that be?"

"He wanted me to become a pro and turn the arena into my own agency when I reach that point."

"Then you would have to go to a top hero school to be able to get the best chances available."

"I'll have to find a way back to UA. It would be the best."

"I see. Don't push yourself too hard. I can't lose another close friend"

After that, there was a comfortable silence. I let them sit there. Jaden had his arm over Lilly's shoulders like he was afraid that she would disappear if he let go.

After about 10 minutes I called the fam to help me get him home in case he refused to leave. He didn't.

I could look in his eyes and see three things.

1. A fire. Determination.

2. Sadness. Mourning

3. Rage. A different type of fire.

~Third Person P.O.V In UA~

.

A blonde Skeleton-looking man with glowing blue eyes was arguing with a small Mouse/dog/person brain thing.

"Come on Nezu. This kid has potential. I know you looked at his files before he ran away from the exam." The blonde man said

"I understand that. I just don't think it's the best idea, the class is booked" Nezu responded after a sip of tea.

"Then expand the class. It wouldn't be the first time you have done it."

"The problem is his relationship with his family and how they might react to him joining the class."

"What do you mean? I'm sure his family would be proud of him for making it into the top class"

"I don't mean his immediate family." Nezu pulled out a folder and pulled two pictures out of it.

"I found this when I was digging around into his family. I found these two and thought they might not react the best." Nezu explained

"Wait, You mean he's related to-"

"Yes. He is. He has a bad relationship with both but namely this one" Nezu picked up one of the pictures

"That's the worst one too." The blonde man was starting to worry. Was he trying to put together a student with someone incompatible?

"Fortunately we don't have to worry about the other one because they have a neutral relationship. I'll add him but any disturbances and he will be removed"

"I should go and get that recording done then," The blonde man said standing up

"Yes. I suggest you hurry before the other teachers leave." Nezu said. "Have a nice day Toshinori"

Sorry. I wanted to post this yesterday but I was too pissed off because of a (not even miss click) when I wanted to save what I had and lost maybe a thousand words. I'm still very pissed off about it but I shoved this out the way so I could get some other things done. I hope you have a great Morning/Night/afternoon/ or evening. Bye.
