4 Mystery of Saturn and two Moons
"Hotaru, why does it feels as if Saturn and the Moon are so close?" Usagi asks one day when she has walked to Hotaru's home and asked for a little talk.
"Because death and life go hand in hand," the Senshi of Destruction and Silence with a faraway look in deep pools of purple-black eyes.
"Mhm, that's true," Usagi agrees and wonders why she hasn't made that connection before. But, she realizes once more, no one can know everything.
"Why?" says Hotaru, and her smile is very grown up and wise and Usagi sees more of Saturn in her.
"I just… I don't know… I feel as if two such important forces shouldn't be cut off. That is, you shouldn't have been cut off, back during the Silver Millenium," she says, and is forming half formed thought as she speaks.
"It was necessary. But, since it's you who know wield the Silver Crystal, I know that my future in darkness will be much brighter." Saturn smiles with old eyes and a young body, nods and walks away, and then Chibiusa is there, and Usagi sees Hotaru join the child that is her own daughter-to-be. For a heartbeat, Usagi sees, in a bright flash, the future Pink Moon colliding, merging, with the planet Saturn. She looks after the two girls and wonders if her intuition is right. Time will tell.
