[A/N] To respond to a past comment: I think its inappropriate to make light of the death of Chester Bennington who was one of rock and roll music's greatest talents. His voice was thevoice of a generation and to use it as a joke… makes me want to get nasty…
The sharp edge of the naginata glaived off the thief's head and blood spurt out like a fountain. The naginata's wielder didn't stop to loo at it and instead switfylt turned around to cut through several more foes like a hurricane, his porcelain white mask hiding his face so no one can tell who he is.
Hmm.. he thought These foes are harder than the ones I usually fight… I'll have to take this more seriously and stop treating it like a test! He jumped away from the melee and onto a nearby rooftop and started doing a series of hand signs to activate a special technique. "RUSHING TYPHOON" he yelled as he picked up his naginata again and a torrent of wind exploded around him and killed them all. "They put up a good figt" he said knowing his master was watching him from a camera and would hear him.
"You did well Shikaru" a dark distorted voice said from a speaker system in the alley. "Your skills improve with each new kill… soon you will be unstoppable! Then it wille be out time to take revenge on the Cornerians for all they have sown in us…"
"But master?", Shikaru applied. "We are but two men. How can we defeat a force as strong as… the entire Cornerian army?"
His master's mean-spirited laugh started echoing in all the speakers. "Elementary, my dear pupil" a door slid open and his master walked out – he'd been seceretly there the whole time apparently. Shikaru quickly bowed on one knee and the moon came out from behind the clouds, bathing them in the milkglow of midnight. "We may be two, but two who stand in unity are stronger than a thousand who stand in such a fractured state as… Corneria. Especially now that you've procured me our prize…"
"Yes master" Shikaru nodded, making sure his mask didn't fall off and reveal his identity in case anyone was watching (except his master who knows who he is). "Wolf is still being kept sedated for now to make things… easier."
His master laughed a belly laugh. "O'Donnell was always a wily one… keep your wits about you when you interrogate him later. As for myself, I have a date with a delicious dinner…"
Shikaru nodded slowly. He knew what his master liked to eat for "dinner" but said nothing, for it struck him as of the utmost degeneracy, and he did not want to think ill of the one who raised him. "of course master" he said smallly.
His master cocked his head. "Do you dislike my taste… pupil? Perhaps you need to try some yourself as it is an acquired taste" He took a package wrapped in aluminum foil from his robes and unfolfed it to reveal raw meat. "This here is from an alpaca I had hunted down on Fichina – his screams were delightful! I find the meat is better when the prey feels fear in their last moments…" He ripped off a chunk of the meat and ate it. "Try some yourself Shikaru! You are after all my most trusted student… right?"
Shikaru's knees quaked like the earth in an earthquake but he nodded because he felt to, and he accepted and ate the meatand tried not to gag as it coiled down his throat and made him feel sick.
"Good Shikaru" his master said. "We'll make a true Darkling of you yet…"
His master laughed and Shikaru cried.
But no one could see because his face was behind the mask…
[A/N] This story has no OCs as I do not believe OCs are good characters for many reasons I may explain in the future. Both Shikaru and his master are characters from Star Fox… but as to who, that is a mystery to be revealed in future chapters…
