Episode 4

Who's Your Daddy

Author's Note: Realizing how dark this episode is. It's based off Markiplier playing Who's Your Daddy with Cinnamontoastken, Jackspectieye, and Pewdiepie… Hilarious video I highly recommend. I laughed myself to tears. I thought it would be funny for Atem chasing around his friends and keeping them from danger.

"It's finally the weekend!" Anzu cheered as she sat by Takara and Hana at the end of class.

"What should we do tonight?" Takara asked.

"Hm…not sure…" Hana thought for a moment. "We could go to the mall! I've been needing new hiking shoes."

"Ooooh! We could also stop by that crafts place! I need a new sketchbook…and pencils!" Takara added.

"And there's a fun arcade with a dance-off machine!" Anzu said.

"That would be fun!" Hana cheered. "And I think we could all use a treat, we could stop at the jewelry store, and then shop for clothes!"

"If we're doing a dance-off, I just need to be careful." Takara added. "I'm only comfortable with waltzing. I have two left feet."

"Sounds good!" Anzu said. "We won't pick any fast songs." She winked.

"Ugh, that sounds so boring!" Joey complained.

"Well, it's a girl's night out, so you don't have to worry about coming." Anzu retorted.

"Nyeh?!" Joey looked offended. "A girl's night out? What about us? What are we gonna do?!"

"Have a guy's night out!" Takara replied cheerfully.

"I guess that sounds fair…" Yugi smiled.

"Hey, I know what we could do!" Honda suggested. "I could bring over my laptop and we could play "Who's Your Daddy?" together!"

"Yes!" Joey cheered.

"What's that?" Yugi asked.

"It's a really funny game. It can be either a two-player or four-player game. Someone has to be the dad, and stop the baby from killing itself, or themselves in this case. They have to keep the baby alive in a certain time limit. If the dad succeeds, he wins. The baby has to kill themselves within the same time limit, and if he does kill himself, he wins."

"Sounds dark." Yugi said. "But it does sound like one of those silly games."

"Let's do it!" Joey cheered.

"All right!" Yugi said as the game began to load. Honda brought over his laptop and helped his friends download the game. The four friends all sat in Atem's room on the floor. Joey and Yugi's new bunkbed had arrived, and the boys decided they'd build it together after they played a few games.

"Do you like your new laptop, Pharaoh?" Yugi asked.

"Very much." Atem smiled. He needed to get a new laptop for school, and Sugoroku was happy to help him out.

"Here we go." Honda said excitedly.

"Don't be Daddy, don't be Daddy." Joey repeated.

"May the best baby kill themselves." Honda laughed.

"Oh wow…" Atem gasped as the game started. Their avatars appeared to look like them. Yugi and Atem had the same hair spikes, while Joey still had his messy blond hair, and Honda's pointed hair.

"We're all babies!" Honda laughed again.

"It's funny, our avatars look like us!" Yugi added. "Oh, there's a garage! I didn't know there was a garage!"

"Yep," Joey replied. "You can get in the car now!"

"Oh, why?!" Yugi laughed.

While Yugi and Joey worked together to figure out how to drive the car, Atem and Honda explored the rest of the house.

"There's some bleach here," Atem said. "But it's empty…Honda, did you drink all the bleach?"

"I drank all the bleach, baby!" Honda replied.

"You're supposed to share!" Yugi joked.

"I want to drive the car, get out!" Joey cut in.

"We need a key for the ignition." Yugi said.

"You look so green, Honda…" Atem said.

"Why thank you, I am The Hulk!" Honda joked. "Oh…I think I died…"

The others laughed.

"I found the key, Yug!" Joey said. "Get in the car!"

"I'm getting there, I ran out of sprint." Yugi replied.

"I'll work the pedals, you work the stick." Joey said. "Car key in ignition."

"I got the stick."

"Okay."

"Wait, you're going to drive the car, and we don't get to see it?" Honda asked.

"Ack!"

"Whoa!"

"What happened?" Atem asked.

"We crashed ourselves!" Joey laughed.

"Yay…good job." Honda said.

"Okay then, who wants to be the dad first?" Yugi asked.

"I'll do it," Atem volunteered. "What am I supposed to do?"

"Stop us from killing ourselves." Joey said.

"Whatever it takes." Honda added.

"Okay, before we start this game, I'm going to get a drink." Atem stretched and stood. He walked out of the room.

"This is fun!" Joey said. "Poor Big Yugi, do we have to make him go first?"

"He volunteered himself." Yugi reasoned.

"Hey, guys…" Honda hesitated. "I…I don't feel…" Suddenly, their friend collapsed.

"Honda?!" Joey gasped, reaching for his friend but only found himself collapsing as well.

"Joey…" Yugi trailed off, finding himself resting his head while the world around him faded. "Huh?" Yugi opened his eyes. He looked around, realizing he was no longer in his room. The walls all around were blue, with a toybox in one corner, a chair by the closet, and he was in a crib with Honda and Joey…who looked like a much younger version of themselves.

Much…much…younger…

Yugi tried not to laugh. He had never seen his friends as babies before. They snickered at him before looking at themselves and realizing the situation they were in.

"Hey, we're all babies!" Honda shouted.

"We're stuck in the game!" Joey added.

"I can't believe you three!" The three boys could hear Atem's voice coming from somewhere. "I leave you for two minutes and I come back to this?!"

"So…I guess this wasn't Big Yugi…" Joey shrugged.

"Of course not," Yugi reassured Joey before turning back to the voice. "Atem, do you think you could use the puzzle and come into the game?"

"Yes, you guys hold on, I'll be there in a moment." Atem replied.

"Okay, while he does that, we should decide what to do." Joey declared.

"Hey, remember when we had to play that RPG with Yami Bakura? And other shadow games?" Yugi asked. "The way we could escape, is when we won, or obtained the objective."

"And?" Joey urged Yugi to continue.

"I think if we killed ourselves, our souls would return to our original bodies."

"That's a crazy idea, Yugi." Honda said.

"It just might be crazy enough to work!" Joey cheered.

Meanwhile, Atem entered the game as 'the dad.' He looked around the living room and saw words floating:

Watch your son. Mom should be home by 4.

"Maybe if I watch them in the time limit, I can get the objective and get them out of the game!" Atem decided. He turned on the television and overheard Yugi's plan. "No! If they kill themselves, their souls could be lost forever!" He rushed up the stairs and toward the baby's room. "No! Whatever you do, don't kill yourselves!"

"We need to exit the game!" He heard Yugi argue.

"No! You need to stay alive until 4!" Atem insisted, opening the door. He saw his three friends, transformed into babies. Yugi rushed past him.

"YOU'LL NEVER STOP ME!" Yugi declared gleefully.

Atem reached for Yugi but couldn't pick him up. It felt as though something was restraining him. The only way to pick the kids up was the claw…but where was it?

"Kill dad!" Joey's shout interrupted his thoughts. He watched as Joey attempted to pull a baby piano toward Atem.

"What is that? No! You can't have that!" Atem snapped, taking the piano away from Joey and placing it back in the corner.

"I'm gonna go drive the car!" Joey declared, rushing past Atem.

"Run for your lives!" Honda shouted. "This is like Attack on Titan!"

The three infants began to make their way down the stairs, while Honda proceeded to sing the Attack on Titan theme song.

"You're not allowed to drive the car!" Atem said, rushing past them down the stairs in attempt to block their path. "Oops! The pictures are falling off the walls! Babies! Babies! Please!"

"Shut up dad!" Joey retorted. "I'm gonna beat dad with a hammer!"

"Beat dad! Go Levi!" Honda shouted.

"Give me that hammer!" Atem scolded.

"No! Die!"

Yugi was able to make his way into the garage. He wondered how he was going to kill himself until he spotted the tank of gasoline.

"I'll burn myself!" He decided, jumping up onto a table and covering himself in gasoline.

"Yugi, what are you doing in the kitchen?" Atem demanded, watching him jump onto the counter.

"Nothing, I'm working on something…" Yugi replied, noticing Atem had found the claw. "Wait, pick me up and hold me over the candle!"

"No way!" Atem growled. Before he could do anything else, words appeared above their heads.

Daddy Wins.

Yugi, Honda, and Joey found themselves back in the crib. They jumped down and made their way back downstairs.

"I guess it'll keep looping around like that until we die…" Yugi mused as he made his way back to the gasoline and doused himself once again. He jumped down and made his way to the kitchen. Joey and gotten hold of a candle and was attempting to burn Atem.

"Joey!" Yugi shouted. "Burn me!"

Joey cheerfully made his way to Yugi, while Atem demanded he put the candle down.

Once Joey had lit Yugi on fire, he began to rush around the house. Yugi had lost control and was only doing what his avatar was programed to do. He couldn't help but to laugh.

"Baby's on fire!" Joey yelled. "Put him out with the fire extinguisher!"

"I got it!" Honda said. "Hold still, Yug!"

Suddenly, Yugi found himself back in Atem's room. He sat up and looked at his computer screen. His friends were still inside the game.

"Hey guys, it worked!" Yugi cheered.

"Yug, where are you?" Joey asked.

"I'm back in Atem's room!" Yugi answered. "So, the answer is killing ourselves."

"Are you certain?" Atem asked.

"Yep," Yugi replied.

"I see ya, Yugi! Your face is appearing on the TV screen!" Joey laughed.

Yugi watched as Atem continued his frantic effort to keep Joey and Honda from killing themselves. Joey went to hide while Atem searched for him desperately. He found the claw and made his way downstairs.

"Hey Dad!" Honda said, crawling towards him with the taser.

"No!" Atem said sternly, picking Honda up with the claw.

"No! Put me down! Put me down! I'm gonna tase you!" Honda said.

"Try it!" Atem challenged, making his way up the staircase, and putting him back in the crib.

"I'm dying, Big Yug!" Joey taunted.

"From what?" Atem demanded, rushing around the house.

"I'm already dying, and I'm hiding!"

"From what? What are you dying from?! Where are you dying?!"

"Got it! I'm dead!" Joey said. Yugi looked over at Joey's body. Joey sat up and stretched. "Yeah! I'm back!"

"Now Honda just needs to come back." Yugi said, sipping some soda.

"Yugi! That's my soda!" Atem shouted.

"Oh, so it is." Yugi shrugged. "Oops."

"I'm gonna poison myself!" Honda declared.

"No, do not do that!" Atem said.

"Aw, please!" Honda pleaded, as he drank some bleach.

"No!" Atem snapped as Honda's avatar began to turn green.

Honda jumped up and gasped as he reentered his body. Atem quickly reappearing.

"You are so lucky your plan worked." Atem grumbled.

"If that wasn't you, then what was that?" Joey asked.

"I'm not sure," Atem admitted. "It definitely was a work of magic…perhaps it might've even been a shadow game…"

"Only those with Millennium items can do that though, right?" Yugi asked.

"Yes." Atem said. "But I thought the rest of the items disappeared…"

"So…where are they now…?" Joey asked.

"I guess that's a mystery for another day." Atem said. "All that matters now, is that we made it out alive." He turned to Yugi. "I should never have doubted you, Partner."

"It's okay, Atem." Yugi replied. "You were just trying to protect us, as always."

Atem gave him a sad smile and then nodded. "Well…do we want to play another game?"

"A board game this time!" Joey said.
