Chapter 4: IT'S OVER 9000!

Previously, on Stupitar…

I run away to my cabin, only grabbing my essentials: shield watch, minotaur horn, and some of my photos. Not the ones of Annabeth though. As I run out of camp, I can only think that I will never help them or forgive them again.

Now (30 minutes later):

Running. It was all I could do. Running, running, running. My run was quickly halted when I ran into someone.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!"

I look up and my words die in my throat. The person (thing?) was really just a humanoid-looking creature that looked like it was made of space matter.

"No, Perseus, I am not a thing. I am, in fact, a person. Chaos. I have come here because I wish to give you my blessing. I have not seen anyone quite like you for some time, and wish to help you."

"Uh, I don't want any more power, but thanks for the offer," I was confused at this point. I knew Chaos from somewhere and I'm pretty sure they are powerful. So far, my power has only brought problems.

"See! Who else would say no to power! You are the perfect candidate."

Uh. Well, I guess they have a point. Might as well accept. Right as I think that, Chaos shoots a beam of purplish energy at me and forces me to my knees in pain. It's a few minutes before I can get back up, and when I do I notice a large power increase.

"That's right Perseus, you have gained many new skills. You now can control not just water but have power over all elements, you have shadow powers above an average child of the underworld, and you have the overall power that could rival the big three."

Oh. Wow. That's a lot more than I expected.

"And a bunch of surprise tools that will help you later, but you will have to figure those out on your own."

Damn. That's a lot of powers.

Yes. some of them are going to be memes because this whole thing is to make fun of or just recognize some things that happen a lot in PJO fanfics.
