The Blight's sat at the table, Amity sitting next to Luz, causing both of them to get flustered. The twins sat near Camila, who sat next to Eda, and then there was Lilith, who sat at end of the table. Camila looked over towards Amity.
"Amity, was it?" Camila said, "I noticed you aren't touching your food. Is there something wrong?"
"Oh, um, no. It's just... we don't typically eat... eyes in the Human Realm." Amity said.
"Well, your siblings don't seem to mind." Camila said, motioning to the twins eating like they've always eaten this food.
"It's really good, Mittens." Edric said.
"You should try it." Emira said.
"I... I'm not sure-"
"Mittens, we know our parents forced you to be a vegan, but just eat it." Edric said.
Amity grabbed an eye and looked at it. She doesn't often eat stuff that can stare back at her. She put it in her mouth and started chewing.
"I-I-It's... good." She said, starting to eat more.
Everything was going well, except for Eda constantly glaring at Lilith throughout the entire dinner. It didn't take long for Lilith to notice.
"Can I help you, Edalyn?"
"Oh, no. I'm just thinking." Eda said, "I've been wondering though, what's your daughter been up too?"
"Why do you want to know?" Lilith said, squinting at Eda.
"Well, I just wanted to know if she's learned anything from you." Eda said, making it clear on what she was referring to.
"Eda, we shouldn't-"
"No Camila, I was prepared for this." Lilith looked at the children, "You may want to leave for a few minutes."
Luz quickly got up and got the Blights out of the room. When they were gone, Lilith looked at Eda.
"So, why don't you tell me what you really want to say?" Lilith said.
"Gladly." Eda said, standing up, "I want to know why you're in my house, acting like everything you've done is all forgiven?"
"We're going over this again? Fine." Lilith stood up as well, "Did I curse you? Yes. Did I mean it? No. Do I still lay awake at night, regretting what I did? Yes! Why do you even have to bring this up? I cured you?!"
"Wow, you fixed the problem you made! Everyone gives her a round of applause!" Eda said clapping her hands, "You really want to know why I can't let this go? If it was just me that got hurt, then I would've welcomed you with open arms. I would've forgiven you with ease if it was only me that you hurt! But guess what? It wasn't! Because of your mistake, my family was hurt, and most importantly... Luz was hurt!"
Lilith slammed her hands on the table.
"If you think I would ever intentionally hurt, Luz, then you are horribly mistaken!"
Camila got up and tried to play mediator.
"There is no reason for this to get into an argument." Camila said.
Before Lilith or Eda could say something, Lilith's scroll went off. She answered it and after a minute she put it away.
"Well, I would love to challenge you to a duel, but my job needs me." Lilith walked to the door, before turning around to face Eda, "And by the way, NEVER use my daughter to start an argument with me."
She left the manor with a slam on the door. Camila groaned and grabbed Eda's arm.
"You are so sleeping on the couch tonight." Camila growled.
Lilith landed her staff outside the building and walked to a guard.
"What's the damage?"
"We have seventeen in the Healing Ward and six dead. There is over thousands of snails in damages here."
"Anything stolen?"
"As of right now, only one thing." The Guard said, "The Ruin of the Dead."
"Tell the guards to be on high alert. If they get the other two pieces, there's no telling what kind of chaos they could cause."
On another part of the Isles, the masked group walked into a large room. They kneeled in front of someone and held the ruin towards them.
"Excellent. Now, lay low, we don't want the guards to find you."
The person took the ruin and placed it on a table, next to a gold casket. The person ran a hand over it.
"Soon, Father. Soon you will rise again."
