Chapter 4

Ryleigh Pov

Pulling up at Mary Mays bar and hopping off of the quadbike i could see already that tonight was going to be busy. Some of the people from School that finished today had already arrived to start celebrating. It wouldn't surprise me if tonight at least three different guns are fired off.

Entering the staff entrance i placed my bag and belongings into my cubby hole and put on my apron.

"Thank god your here now Ryleigh." Said Mary May as she spotted me coming out of the staff area.

I smiled at her and replied "Its going to only get crazier as the night wears on Mary May, but that's okay. More money into your pockets." Grabbing a pen and pad i began my rounds of taking orders from customers.

2 hours later and a lot of happy customers still coming in for the night. Cleaning a recently vacated table when I could over hear two semi intoxicated young teen adults from school talking.

"Did you see who was at school today Rick."?

"Nah man who was it."

"The Seed brothers, well at least two of them anyways i heard their recruiting people from school and people are actually joining up."

"Shit...fuck why join that shit, heard that they were all shit bat crazy, especially the one that they call the "Father"."

I shouldn't have been listening in on their conversation, but if one is to find some information about people you hold on to it. Never knew when it could come in handy in Hope county.

"Ohhhhhhhh bar wench, i be needing another drink." Said Sharky as he playfully waved around his empty bottle.

Laughing at Sharkys words i made my way over to his table. He may be a pyromaniac with a tendency to blow things up first and ask questions later. But get him drinking and anything was game to him.

"Yes my favorite bar drunk i shall get your liquor for you."

"Pffffft ha, Red yourrrr me favs too, i think if Hurk didn't think of you as family he'd be hitting on you baaaadly. shhhhhh" Giggled Sharky.

Playfully rolling my eyes i scooped up Sharkys empty bottle taking it back to the bar.

"Another beer for Sharky, Bud light, please Mary May."

"This is his twelfth one Ryleigh within two hours, tell him he either slows down or stops"

"Come on Mary May, let him be, i think everyone would rather a happy go lucky drunk Sharky then a sober one wanting to blow a building up just for been rubbed the wrong way."

"Have to agree with her on this one Miss Fairgrave." Pipped in Earl from the other end of the bar.

"Fine...fine, just make sure he stays happy, i don't want no fires let alone explosions done by him." Huffed Mary May.

"I'll make sure of it." I replied as i mocked saluted back at her.

Scooping up the bud light for Sharky i made my way back over to him.

"Here ya go Sharkinator."

Grinning at me with full teeth, Sharky proceeded to snatch his drink out of my hand and down it in one go.

"Thaaaaaaaaannnnnnkkkkkkkks Red."

If i wasn't keeping count on the number of drinks he was having, the slight swaying he was doing gave it away.

"You think you could wait a little before your next drink Sharky."? Raising an eyebrow at him.

"Mmmmm, i guess, I'll just have a nap right here then." Slurred Sharky as he proceeded to lay down on long seat.

"Keys please." I said while sticking my right hand out towards him. Suddenly a keychain of keys flew up above the table towards me. Snatching them out of the air i stuck them into my pocket for safe keeping.

Even though Mary Mays bar was large in size, it felt really tiny right now with everyone coming in and out. Especially with all us graduates finishing today.

Few more hours went on by and the night got more interesting as it went on. Plenty of fights broke out especially with the females surprisingly enough. As predicted guns were fired off in celebration.

And I'm pretty sure lots people were having sexual encounters outside, either in the bushes or in cars, from all the cat calling i could hear.

We even currently had a small group of Eden's gate people sitting at a booth having a late night dinner and drinks with their friends. While everything was looking after its self i helped out Earl with cleaning glasses.

"Never thought I'd see any Peggie's in my bar so willingly eating and drinking my food. I wonder what their "father" would say about it." said Mary May as she passed a customer their drink.

"Maybe there isn't a rule about staying at their compound twenty four even, maybe there allowed out as long as they behave them selves." Chimed in Earl.

"Don't trust them, they freak me out." Replied Mary May

"I'd like to go visit to see what is so appealing to join them." Adding my two cent worth into the conversation

"Are you serious Ryleigh, they'd most likely brain wash you and ruin your life before you'd know what happened to you." Growled Mary May

"Thought you would have more trust in me, you know I'm not easily swayed by anything. Anyways i should decide for my self if I wanted to join or not." I huffed.

"I do trust you Ryleigh, but ever since my brother joined them and my mother and father passing away, i just..."

"Its okay Mary May your just worried about me joining them. Don't be I'll be fine, I'll even prove it to you when I walk back out of there compound still acting like my self."

"You better."

Giving Mary May a reassuring smile i placed the last cup back on the shelf and went back out to clean up a table that needed resetting.
