Chapter 4: His return to the village

Mizuki was making his way back home after he had spent another night at the bar. "This village may be shit but the alcohol isn't bad." he had spent every night at the bar, drinking his weight in heavy drinks. He would have bragged about the fact that he had killed off the "demon brat" but he chose not to say anything since he thought it was amusing to see Iruka and several others worry about him. He tried his best to maintain a stoic visage when he saw Iruka call the demon's name only to not receive an answer during roll call in class.

It was after the second day that he saw that several members of the class also seemed to get worried. Sure he knew that the weak link of the Hyuga clan had the obvious crush on it but he didn't expect to see similar looks on Sakura Haruno and Ino Yamanaka.

'What kind of demon crap did he do to get them to worry about him?'

Not only that but the Hokage had sent out search parties for the brat just this morning. He always smirked when he was able to catch a glimpse of an Anbu looking around. 'Too bad for them that the little shit is dead and you won't find the body.' he brought up the bottle that he had bought from the bar and took a swig before he spotted a woman walking in his direction. Thanks to his hindered judgment thanks to his drink and knowing that he will be leaving the village soon anyway, he chose to try and pick the girl up. "hey, what's a sexy thing like you doing out here on your own?"

The woman was offended by the stranger that she just had to run into on her way home after working at the store in the graveyard shift. She could smell the alcohol on the man and was tempted to shove the man aside but she then noticed that he was wearing shinobi gear. She had heard how forceful normal men acted when they are extremely drunk. This was a shinobi, someone who has abilities that she couldn't even hope to counter being a civilian. She hoped he wasn't the forceful type and sidestepped him "I'm not interested." unfortunately for her, she was grabbed hard by the arm

Mizuki smirked as he looked her up and down while his eyes lingered on her ass. He then looked at her face and could not help but think she was a looker. "Don't be like that. A nice piece of ass like you should help me in celebrating."

"Let go of me!" she tried to yank her arm out of his grasp but was unable to do so. "Help!"

Mizuki brought her in and held her by the waist and covered her mouth with the other hand while it held the bottle with his thumb. "Shh, Don't be like that." he enjoyed the look of fear in her eyes and pulled his hand back when he saw she wasn't going to cry out again. Seeing he was right he took another swig of his bottle

The woman tried to pull away from him while also trying to stay quiet since she was afraid he would do something to her if she did.

Mizuki smirked as he watched her from the corner of his eye since he turned his head to the side. It was then that he looked forward and saw one of the forests. But after a second he spat out his drink, with a bit of it hitting the woman. It was only for a brief second but he saw a flash of orange. 'It can't be! That little shit should be dead!' he was so shocked that he had let the woman go as he stared in the direction he saw the flash of orange.

The woman used this chance to run away while wiping the alcohol he spat out off her face.

The shock of seeing what could be the very boy he had killed sobered him up enough to focus on that but forget the woman he was planning on having fun with. He ran into the forest to see if he saw what he thought he saw.

Naruto was walking through the forest towards his apartment. He had to find the edge of the forest so that he would know where he was and make his way from there. He chose to walk through the forest as he didn't want to deal with the people that might see him. But the thing was that he was in too good a mood to be soured at the fact that he was back in a village that hated his very existence.

Naruto looked down at the large egg he had to carry in both arms. His smile would not go away as he thought about the things that happened to him. He met a beautiful princess, got a new set of clothing, fought another pretty yet super strong princess, saved a town of people that seemed to like him, given a gift from Yoshi, and learned that he could go back to the kingdom anytime he wanted.

He shook his head at one of those since although she was pretty in his eyes, Bowsette had attacked the village and beat him down into the ground. He then thought about the fight itself and finally realized that the fight was far grander than anything he had ever done before. He may not have paid much attention to his surroundings during the fight since he was focused on beating her and getting her forces to leave but as he thought about it, he realized that there were shockwaves every time he landed a hit on her, blocked or not. 'How did I hit so hard or was that from her doing something?' he kept trying to figure out what happened during the fight but after a minute of it, he chose to just pass it off since he wanted to figure it out later. He ran his hand over the surface of the egg and moved his thoughts to what could come out of it. He couldn't help but think that this was potentially what could be a new friend.

Unknown to him, Mizuki was hiding behind a tree with his back pressed to it. He was glaring daggers at the boy that he had tried to murder. At first, when he got close he figured it wasn't him since he was wearing different clothing and had his hood up. But after moving ahead and got a look at his face, he was tempted to start throwing every weapon he had at him as he saw those damn whiskers. 'How the fuck is he still alive!? He should have died for that drop!' he then thought about the kid and realized 'shit! If that brat tells anyone that it was me that tried to kill him, my plans will be ruined!' he tried to think of what he could do to make sure that he would be able to get away. It was after a minute that he came up with a way to not only get the demon brat killed but also get away scot-free. The only issue was that he wouldn't be able to do it for another couple of days. Sure it was a few weeks early but he didn't have a choice. He then slinked away to get things ready.

~Naruto's apartment~

Naruto was able to make it to his apartment without running into anyone and sighed in relief. He looked around to see that nothing seemed out of place, which meant that no one broke in while he was away. There was one thing that made him frown though. His flowers all seemed to be wilting. He ran over to the pale he had and used one hand to pick it up and went to the sink to fill it with water. He then went to water the plants to try and revive them as best he could. Once he was done with that he put the pale down and sat on his dinner table's chair. He looked around the apartment and for some reason, it felt bittersweet as he said. "Home sweet home." He looked to the egg that he still had in his arms and his bitter smile became more real. Looking up at the clock, he realized how late it was. He got up and moved to his bedroom to get ready for bed. He placed the egg on his bed and got changed into his pajamas while making sure to fold his new clothes and placing them on the dresser he had. He pulled out his weird nightcap and put it over the crown and smiled as it was no longer visible. He still can't help but find it slightly annoying that he couldn't take it off. Forgetting about it for now he picked up the eg and then laid in his bed with the egg still in his arms. Before he completely fell asleep, he had one last thought. 'I miss the bed from the Mushroom kingdom..'

~ a few hours later~

Naruto woke up from a knocking that he heard from his window. Now he would have ignored it since he figured it might be a bird tapping or something but it kept going to the point that it was annoying. He sat up and looked to his left to see that an Anbu was tapping on it. He shimmied over, not realizing that he hadn't let go of the egg, and opened the window with a sleepy glare. "What do you want, Inu?" he normally would have greeted this Anbu more politely since he actually went out of his way to check up on him and talk when he had the time but right now, he was tired from being woken up from what was the most natural sleep he had in the past week. Waking up from being knocked out was not a comfortable feeling and he had to do it twice in the past week.

Inu was a little stunned by the rude question but it wasn't the worst thing ever said to him. He was glad to see the son of his sensei was back and seemed to be in one piece. But he did notice several things about him. The most obvious being the odd large egg that had rainbow dots around it he had in his arms. He had never seen an egg of this size or with such a simple child-like pattern. The other thing he noticed was that Naruto had something under his nightcap. He could tell based on how the nightcap was being held up a bit by something. Choosing to ignore these factors, for the time being, he spoke. "The Hokage wants to see you."

Naruto's glare turned into one of deadpan as he looked behind him to look at the clock to see that it was one in the morning. He looked back at Inu and asked "now?"

Inu nodded as he could tell what the boy was thinking. "Yes. I know it's late but he insists."

Naruto really just wanted to get some sleep but it was clear that the Hokage was giving an order. He gave a sharp "fine." before he turned around and walked towards his dresser "just give me a minute to get dressed."

Inu nodded "I'll meet you at your door." he then jumped away to give the boy some privacy.

Naruto put the egg down and looked down at the bag that had the clothes he was wearing when he first arrived. he looked between those and the clothes he was given by Princess Peach. He didn't have to think long and put on his new clothes. Once he was dressed and had his shoes on, he looked to the egg that sat on his bed. At first, he thought it would be ok to leave it but he was afraid that while he was gone, someone could break in and take it or break it. Normally this kind of thought would be considered paranoia but it has happened before and he wasn't going to risk it. The discoloration on one of his walls was proof as it was broken down and he had to rebuild it. He picked up the egg and made his way to the door, making sure that his hood was up. Half asleep or not, he was still not keen on others here seeing the crown stuck on his head. Once he walked out, he saw Inu leaning on the rail

Inu looked at the boy and behind his mask, he raised a single eyebrow. "Nice look."

Naruto nodded in appreciation but he was still half asleep. He locked the door and moved to stand by Inu who placed a hand on his shoulder.

After a second the two disappeared in a swirl of leaves

~Hokage office~

Hiruzen watched as Inu and Naruto arrived in his office. "Good to see you well and good, Naruto. Made some of us worry about you while you were gone."

Naruto glared at the old man before he yawned. "why couldn't you wait till morning? Why the hell do I have to be up at this time?"

Hiruzen sighed as he spoke "I'm sorry, Naruto but no one has seen you in several days. I wanted to make sure that you were alright."

Naruto's sleepy glare didn't lessen "again, you could have still waited till morning when I actually got some sleep."

Hiruzen would have but he really needed to ask Naruto a few things, specifically about the clothes he was wearing and the odd egg he had. He looked to Inu and said, "you may leave."

Inu nodded before disappearing from sight

Hiruzen focused on Naruto and looked him over. He made mental notes on the attire 'the clothing is much different from any style I have seen in the village. His footwear as well….and why does he have the hood up.' "Naruto may I ask you to lower your hood."

"No."

Hiruzen was surprised to hear the immediate decline on this "may I ask why?"

Naruto shook his head. He was going to keep the crown a secret as long as he could, even from the old man.

Hiruzen narrowed his eyes as he could not understand why the boy would decline such a simple answer. Choosing to hold off on the hood, he went into the real questions he needed to know. "Naruto, you have been gone for almost a week and I must know where you have been all that time."

Naruto bit his lip as he tried to think of what to say. Here was the man that had made sure that he had a roof over his head and that he had enough money to live as best he could but….that was it. Sure the Hokage would at times talk to him and be a listening ear at times, heck he was allowed to stay in the office when he was younger and play with the old man as much as he could but when he was seven, that all stopped and it seemed more like he was just keeping an eye on him. He didn't really see the problem with telling the old about the Mushroom kingdom but…...he felt like he should keep it a secret. Not because of something super important but that he felt like the Mushroom kingdom was something special and that if he told the Hokage about it, it would lose that. "...I was with some new friends I made"

Hiruzen quirked an eyebrow at the vague answer "oh and who might they be?"

Naruto shifted on his feet as he looked away "They are just friends I made."

"Naruto, I need you to tell me who these people are."

Naruto paused his shifting for a second and turned to Hriuzen with his sleepiness fading "why?"

Hiruzen steepled his fingers as he spoke "I must know who it was that you interacted with."

Naruto now had a hard look "why do you need to know who I interact with?"

Hiruzen sighed as he continued "Naruto, you've been gone for several days and when you finally appear again, it is out of nowhere, you are wearing new attire, and you are carrying a strange egg. I must know if these people that you have been with are a threat to our village and if they have done anything to you."

Naruto did not like the idea of the Princess being thought of as a threat or that she would do something bad to him. "I just said that I was with some friends. Why do you automatically think that they are bad?! Is it because they talk to me?"

Hiruzen shook his head as he held his hands up in a placating manner "no, Naruto. I am just….."

"Just what?! I met some people that were nice to me! All they did was make sure I was ok and they even gave me these clothes as a gift!"

"And the egg?"

"What about it? It was also a gift! Why do you need to know about a gift given to me!" he turned his body to keep the egg further away from the Hokage

Hiruzen could see that Naruto was getting angrier and he needed to calm the boy down. It was never good when Naruto got angry as he had heard that jinchuriki could unleash the bijuu's power if angered. "Naruto, please calm down."

Naruto paused and his mind came up iht something that was still on his mind. "If you want to know about where I have been, then why don't you answer me something."

Hiruzen was intrigued about this. He needed to know about what had happened to Naruto as the boy was the village's jinchuriki and he needed to be aware of everything that happened to him. "What is it that you want to ask then?"

Naruto turned to look at Hiruzen and looked the man hard in the eyes "who were my parents?"

Hriuzen sighed as he should have known that this was what he would ask him since the boy had been asking him the same question for years. "Naruto, I've told you…"

"NO! All you have ever said to me is 'asking won't bring back the dead'! All I have asked was who they were, what they looked like, hell I would be happy to know anything about them! BUT YOU HAVEN'T TOLD ME ANYTHING! ….not even their names." his angered shout turned into a whisper as he looked down in sadness. He steeled himself as he looked back at the Hokage. "You ask to know everything about me yet when I ask one thing, you never give me a straight answer. You always walk away without telling me anything!"

Hiruzen glared at the boy as he did not appreciate the tone Naruto was giving him and spoke firmly. "Naruto, as your Hokage, I have a right to know as much as I can about my shinobi."

"THEN MAYBE I SHOULD QUIT TRYING TO BE ONE!" Naruto didn't give Hiruzen the time to answer as he just turned around and left the office as he slammed the door behind him

Hiruzen was too stunned to even do anything but stare in shock at the door. He never thought that Naruto would just say something like that, especially with how the boy had always said that he wanted to be Hokage. He slumped in his chair as he looked at the ceiling. He sighed deeply as he couldn't help but internally berate himself for how that meeting went. "...sometimes I hate this job."

Ironic. He hates the best job used to protect the village he loves.

He was honestly worried about Naruto but he guessed that he was being a little too pushy

"If I may, sir. You could have handled that a little better."

Hiruzen sighed as he kept his gaze upward "I know, Inu. but I cannot help but worry that someone may have manipulated the boy. We don't know where he was, who he was with and how it was that we could not find him at all."

Inu appeared in front of the Hokage desk and nodded as he understood the man's viewpoint but "sir, I understand why you did this but you have to understand that Naruto is not as strong as you think. Not in the way we are. He takes any form of kindness to heart and if you say anything negative about the acts, he will retaliate. Give him a gift and he will treasure it, no matter how simple. Give him praise and he will feel like he is on the top of the world…...give him an answer to a question and he will see it as the gospel."

Hiruzen took off his hat and rubbed his head and looked to Inu "you do your sensei proud for looking out for his son."

Inu brought up his hand and moved his mask to show one lone bored-looking eye "for sensei, it's the least I can do. And I know for a fact that Kushina would kill me in the afterlife if she found out I didn't do my job."

Hiruzen felt a shiver as he thought about what that crazy woman would do to him if he had done any worse than he did and even with how he was handling her son now, he was sure that he may be nothing more than a head after Kushina was done with him in the afterlife. "Keep doing what you're doing since you are better with him than I am."

Inu nodded before asking "what about Naruto's vocal resignation?"

Hiruzen sighed again and felt like he was aging thousands of times faster now. "I want to say he is free to do so but as the jinchuriki, we can't allow that."

Inu put his mask back on and turned away "Kushina will destroy you next time you two meet."

"...I know."

Inu took a few steps away before looking over his shoulder to ask "why don't you tell him about his parents? He more than anyone deserves to know about sensei and Kushina. Especially since a lot of the time he acts like his mother."

Hiruzen knew that Kakashi was right but he was too paranoid with Naruto maybe letting it slip and someone hearing it and letting the word spread. "I wish I could but it is too great a risk."

Inu sighed "I would suggest that you let Naruto be for now. He may be forgiving for a lot of things but I doubt he will let this go for a long time." and with that, Inu shunshined away

Hiruzen sighed before looking to his right at his crystal ball. It was a toll he used constantly to look in on someone he needed to check up on. Now he usually used it on Naruto to make sure the boy was ok. Taking Inu's advice he walked over to it, picked it up, and stored it in a storage scroll that he put away in a drawer. He sat back down and looked at the picture of Minato Namikaze. "I appreciate what you did for the village but I hate you for leaving Naruto here on his own. I can't give him what he needs and I don't know if I can ever fully help him."

~apartment~

Naruto walked into his apartment in a huff as he just kicked the door shut, locked it, and moved to his bed. Once he was lying on the bed, he thought about what just happened and could not help but sigh in frustration.

~next day~

Naruto had made it to the Academy hours before class even started. He hadn't slept at all since the meeting with the Hokage since he just didn't feel sleepy anymore. He may have said that he would quit being a shinobi and that would have meant that he wouldn't have to be here anymore but there was an issue with that. He didn't know what else he could do. The only reason that he was able to live on his own was that the Hokage paid for his utilities and rent and he only did that was because he was in the shinobi program as well as an orphan. If he left the program, he would lose the stipend and be left on his own. And despite how his grades may suggest, he wasn't dumb. He knew for a fact that he wouldn't be able to get a job anywhere in the village since no one would hire him. The only place that he would be able to get a job would be at Ichiraku's and that would be a problem for Ayame and Teuchi since when people find out he works there, they would never go there again. Even now, the people avoid the place when he is eating there.

He looked down at the egg and sighed. He would not leave the egg alone and the safest place for it was with him.

After sitting in the empty room for a couple of hours, Naruto heard someone else walk in. He looked up to see that it was Sasuke Uchiha.

Sasuke walked into the room and was getting ready to enjoy some peace and quiet in the classroom. He always came in early so he wouldn't have to deal with his fangirls. It was nice to just have some time to himself as he thought about how he could get stronger. He needed to get stronger to take down his brother. Something that he both wanted…..and hated that he had to. He knew his brother was scum and needed to be taken down by his hands, if not he couldn't avenge his clan for the betrayal from one of their own. But he hated the fact that he had to do it because he still remembered how Itachi was the only one in his family that seemed to push him to get better. That's why it hurt him when he saw what happened to his family by Itachi's Sharingan.

He was making his way to his usual seat but he caught something in his peripheral vision. He turned his head to see someone was already in the classroom and sitting in the very back. He looked the person over and could already guess who it was since only one person he knew would wear that color orange. He still couldn't see his face since he had a hood up but there was enough of his face that was visible to tell. He sighed as he figured that he would not be able to have any peace since one of the loudest in class was here but he was already in the room so he chose to just sit in his seat.

Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other for a brief second before they went about their own thing

Sasuke had expected Naruto to make some sort of declaration about how he had beaten him to the classroom but it was quiet. He thought it was odd that NAruto was staying unusually silent that it was a little unnerving. He turned his head to look at Naruto and saw that he was looking at a very large egg. 'What's up with him?' he chose to just let his classmate alone since he seemed to be ignoring his existence.

It was an hour before class started that others started to come in

Naruto ignored everyone as he just looked at the egg.

"Hey! Naruto!"

Naruto looked up to see Kiba standing next to him

Kiba gave a grin as he waved at him "where the hell you been? No ones seen you in days and we were thinking that you ran away or something."

Naruto had to hold in his anger as he remembered what had been the reason for him disappearing. He didn't know how he would react to seeing Mizuki but he chose to just deal with it for now and chuckled as he shook his head "no. I didn't run away. I met some new friends and spent some time with them while I was away."

*Arf*

Kiba looked up to his partner Akamaru who was laying on his head "yeah, I guess it was boring without you around. Haven't even seen some of your pranks around. I made a bet with Akamaru saying that you would do at least five pranks while you were gone. Looks like we both lost since we haven't seen any of your pranks around the village."

Naruto chuckled again at that "sorry, Kiba. but I didn't have a chance to do any pranks."

Kiba shrugged "eh, doesn't matter. We both lost so I don't have to give him my steak during dinner." he turned to walk away and head to his seat

*arf*

"No we both lost so we don't trade meals."

Naruto chuckled at the banter between the two as he just went back to rubbing the egg.

"Naruto!"

He looked up again to see his friends walking up to him. Sakura, Ino and Hinata. "Hey girls. What's….up….?" his voice became a squeak as he saw them glaring at him. Well, Sakura and Ino were glaring while Hinata was giving him her best attempt which looked more like a look of disapproval. He gulped as he saw they were all staring down at him and he felt so small at the moment. Then he felt his forehead sting when he felt Sakura flick him hard on the forehead. He brought his hands up to hold the spot and rubbed it as his eyes became watery from how much it stung. "Ow!"

Sakura glared at him as she put her hands on her hips "where the hell have you been? We were looking for you for days and we were starting to worry."

Naruto rubbed his head and lowered his head "I'm sorry. Something happened and I had to be away for a while."

Ino sighed exasperatedly as she shook her head "you can't just up and disappear when we were looking for you."

Naruto looked to Ino as he countered "how was I supposed to know you were looking for me?"

Ino felt likes slapping herself at how true his statement was and how dumb hers was. "Shut up!" she looked away with a huff before she looked at the egg in his arms. "By the way what's with the super egg? You planning on making eggs for everyone?"

Naruto pulled the eg away from the girls as he looked appalled at the thought "what are you crazy!? We can't eat this!"

Ino brought her hands up in surrender "ok, ok. But where did you get it? And what's in it?"

Naruto looked at it before he tried to think about what was in it. He figured that it might be another Yoshi like the babies that Yoshi had on his back but it might be something else entirely. He just figured that he would have to wait for it to hatch before he was sure. "I don't really know but I was given this egg by a new friend I met."

Hinata could see the smile he had on his face and her disapproving look shifted into a smile of her own as she saw that this was a real smile and not the one he puts on when he is hiding something. But she was concerned about how he had his hood up. "Naruto, why do you have your hood on?"

Naruto stiffened and looked away as he said in a stutter "i-it's cold."

Ino scoffed at this "Naruto, I told you before that you suck at lying. Now come one tell us. We aren't going to judge you. You know we won't."

Naruto looked at the three and saw that they were being serious. But he still didn't want to tell them since he was kinda embarrassed about it. But he knew that what Ino said was true, they wouldn't judge him. But they were in class so he chose to say "it's nothing."

Hinata could hear the trepidation in his voice and was about to say something until

"Alright everyone, in your seats."

Ino, Sakura, and Hinata looked to see Iruka walking into the room they each sighed as they moved to go to their usual seat with Sakura and Ino groaning when they saw that some other girls were sitting next to Sasuke

Ino had one last thing to say before she went to her seat. "By the way, Naruto, I like the new look."

Naruto smiled as he watched them head to their seats. He looked at the front of the classroom and saw that Mizuki wasn't there. He glared at nothing in particular as he wanted to call him out in front of everyone to spite the man for trying to kill him. 'Damn you, Mizuki! I'll get you back for that!' he may be happy to end up in the Mushroom Kingdom, he was not happy at what the man did.

Iruka was taking rollcall and hearing each student call out they were there. It was when he got to the last name that he looked up and smiled at seeing Naruto there. "Good of you to join us, Naruto. We missed you." Once he finished this comment he did notice the lack of his assistant. He narrowed his eyes at the seat Mizuki usually took and he felt that Naruto's return had to do with Mizuki's absence. 'Something is going on here.' he was going to have to look into this but right now he had a class to do. "Alright everyone, let's get started. We will begin with the history of …"

~later, outside~

It was time for the practical portion of the class and that meant kunai, shuriken practice, and sparring.

Naruto sat down on the side as he waited for his turn. Something he was doing now with the egg was that he was channeling his chakra on it in an attempt to keep it warm since he couldn't really take his jacket off and wrap it. He didn't know why but he could feel it happy at him doing that so he had been doing it for as long as he could

"Naruto, you're up!"

Naruto got up and looked around to see Hinata standing with Shino and headed over to her. "Hey, Hinata can you hold this for me?"

Hinata nodded as she took the egg from him and watched him go off for kunai and shuriken practice

Shino looked at the egg and bent down to get a closer look. "Do you know what might be inside this egg?"

Hinata shook her head as she looked at it. "Naruto said that even he doesn't know. I am curious though about what could come out of it."

Shino nodded as he stood up "logical. It does have a sense of mystery to it."

Hinata nodded as she watched Naruto take the kunai from Iruka.

Naruto got into position as he looked at the kunai in his hand and the target dummy he had to hit. He narrowed his eyes as he pulled his arm back and ready to throw his first kunai. He aimed at hitting as close as he could to the center for the most points. Once he was sure he would get close he swung his arm and sent the kunai flying and hitting its mark

And causing the dummy to explode into splinters

And the trees behind it

Before a large explosion deep in the forest was heard and sending a massive gust of wind back at them

Everyone was bug-eyed at the scene they just saw with Naruto frozen in his throwing pose

Naruto blinked at what he did as he didn't even put that much strength into the throw. '...how did I….?' He then noticed that there was more sun hitting his face and felt that his hood had been blown back and he quickly brought it back up to cover the crown. He looked around and noticed that no one was looking at him, they were looking at the damage he just made. He looked behind him to see Iruka was standing there with his hands up as if to mark something on a clipboard but he saw that said clipboard and pen had been blown away. "Uh…."

Iruka could not believe what he had just seen. Naruto had just sent the kunai flying as if it was Guy sensei unlocking some of the eight gates. His eyes shifted to the boy, back to the trench that was made "...I think we are finished for now….."

Naruto nodded quickly before he rapidly shuffled his way to Hinata and took the egg back with everyone now watching him

~lunch~

Naruto was sitting on his swing with the clan heads sitting around him. He wasn't eating since he didn't make himself lunch.

Everyone was asking him how he had done what he did in the kunai practice. What he did had caused everyone to avoid sparing with him since they didn't think they could handle a hit of equal strength.

Shikamaru looked at Naruto. "How did you do something so troublesome to the dummy? That was something I would expect from a jonin, not one of us academy students."

Naruto shrugged his shoulders "I don't know. I just threw it like I normally did."

Kiba scoffed at that" oh come on! There is no way that you tossed like normal. We all saw the massive damage you did and when Iruka came back with the kunai, the thing was nothing more than the friggin hoop! Come on man, you gotta tell us what jutsu you used to send that thing flying."

Naruto shook his head "I'm telling the truth. All I did was aim for the dummy and threw it like I did before. I didn't know it would do all that."

Choji poured the last of his chips into his mouth before he started chewing "maybe it was the kunai. Maybe it was a special kind of kunai that goes faster than others." he pulled out another bag before he pulled it open

Naruto chuckled at that "I'm sure Tenten would love a kunai like that but she would hate what happened to the kunai afterward."

"Hn, if you figure out how you did it, let the rest of us know. I could use that kind of strength."

Naruto deadpanned to Sasuke as he dryly said "sure when I figure out how I sent a kunai fast enough to make the dummy explode, I'll let you know."

"Hn good." Sasuke smirked as he brought his arms behind his head and laid back on the tree and enjoyed the shade.

Sakura swooned for e second "Sasuke is so cool."

The other guys of the group just rolled their eyes as they wondered how long it would have taken till Sakura had a fangirl moment with Shikamaru muttering out "troublesome."

Hinata looked to Naruto as she asked "Naruto, are you ok?"

Naruto looked at Hinata and tilted his head "why?"

Hinata gave him a stern look as she spoke "Naruto, I know when something is worrying you. And you have been quiet all day, which means that something heavy is on your mind."

Sakura and Ino nodded in agreement as Sakura crossed her arms. "She is right. You looked moody all day and you haven't been as noisy as usual."

"Hey!"

Ino continued from here "Naruto you know she's right. So why don't you tell us what's going on with you, and why you won't take off your hood?"

Naruto saw that everyone was now looking at him and he really didn't want to tell them about his time in the Mushroom kingdom. Before he could say anything they all heard something

*CRACK*

Naruto looked around to see where the sound was coming from. He still couldn't see where it came from and was more confused

"uh….Naruto?"

Naruto looked at Hinata who was pointing at the egg in his arms. He looked down at the egg to see there was a large crack at the front of it. He began to panic as he was worried he had done something wrong.

*CRACK*

A piece of the shell fell off and everyone was looking intently at the hole to see if they could see what was inside.

Suddenly something shot out of the hole and latched onto the chip that was in Choji's hand. It then pulled back inside

"Hey!"

Chewing could be heard and everyone leaned in closer to look inside but still couldn't see anything. Suddenly

A flurry of tongues shot out of the hole and into Choji's chip bag before they all retracted, pulling the bag into the egg.

"HEY! Those were mine!"

Everyone heard chewing coming from inside the egg before the now empty bag was shot out, hitting Kiba in the face

Naruto brought the egg up and peaked into the hole to see if he could see what was inside. Soon the whole grew in size as the crack ran around the egg. Then the top of the egg flew off and Naruto was now staring at multiple sets of blinking eyes. Sure he guessed it would be like this but he wasn't entirely sure but what he was seeing just made it true. A group of baby yoshis of different colors. He blinked at them as they blinked back. Then….

They let out their tongues to attach to his face. "Argh!" he kept them up as they all kept their tongues on his face. Unknown to him that they had all imprinted on him

After they had let go of Naruto's face, they all looked at the bundle of little creatures that stayed in the egg bowl.

As Ino and Sakura were gushing at how cute they were, Kiba looked at Naruto and asked "what are they?"

Naruto wiped his face with a napkin that Hinata gave him before answering "Baby Yoshis."

~after school~

Naruto was walking through the streets and heading towards Ichiraku's he held the egg bowl with the baby Yoshis looking around at the village.

The classroom had not gone the way Iruka would have liked. All the girls kept gushing over the baby animals that Naruto now had with him and Choji kept trying to eat something. "Trying" being the keyword since every time he brought out something to eat, a tongue would shoot out, grab it and bring it back into the mouth of one of the babies. Oddly when Hinata handed Naruto a rice ball for him to eat when his stomach growled, the babies did nothing but watch. Naruto did end up taking pieces of the rice ball and feeding it to the babies before he ate the majority of the rice ball.

Naruto was glad that he had his hood up since the villagers didn't automatically think it was him. It was only when he looked up at them and they saw his face did they change their confused faces into scowls. He saw that he was coming up on the stand and paused as he was afraid of meeting up with Ayame since he was still afraid she might be mad at him. He took a deep breath before he walked into the stand

"Welcome!"

Naruto looked up to see Ayame was cooking a pot of Ramen and he could see Teuchi in the back.

He sighed as he got ready for Ayame to yell at him. "...Hey, Ayame…."

Ayame paused in her cooking to fully turn around and look at the boy. "Naruto?"

Naruto looked down as he nodded. He put the babies on the stool and took a step back as he bowed "I'm sorry!" He didn't hear anything from her and he didn't look up to see her reaction "I didn't mean to do all that when I was here last time and I ….." he didn't get to finish as Ayame had moved over to him brought him up to stand up straight and hugged him.

Ayame held Naruto close to her as she was smiling at seeing him again. "I'm not mad at you Naruto. I was just worried about you, especially since I haven't seen you since then." she pressed her head on top of his and despite the fact that she felt something was on his head under his hood, she held him close.

Naruto brought up his hands to hug her back as he had tears coming down his face. Right now he ignored that stupid "boys don't cry" thing. He felt that happy tears don't count. "...I'm still sorry, Ayame"

Ayame smiled at this. "I know you are."

Teuchi was leaning on the door frame that led to the back as he watched the moment between his favorite customer and his daughter. His eyes did shift to the stool to see a bunch of interesting animals staring at the two. 'Huh...what are those?'

~that night~

The village was on high alert. Anbu, jonin, and Chunin were running everywhere from street level to the rooftops looking for their target after they were made aware of what was going on

Naruto Uzumaki had stolen the forbidden scroll from the Hokage's office

The Anbu were all thinking about how the boy had gotten past them in order to get into the office and it was thanks to this that they realized that there is a gap in between their patrols. It was this gap that the kid had used in order to get in but the gap didn't last long so one of the Anbu patrols saw Naruto leave with the forbidden scroll on his back. The one that spotted him had lost sight of him and had alerted all adult shinobi to be on the lookout for Naruto.

Iruka was jumping around looking for his student as he couldn't believe that Naruto would actually do something like this. Sure he was a prankster but why would he go and steal the scroll. It was a major crime that could get Naruto in very big trouble. He dropped everything he was doing when he got the alert and had spent all night trying to find the boy. After another thirty minutes of hopping around the village, he spotted him and dropped down

Naruto was walking home after he had spent all day at Ichiraku's talking to Ayame. He smiled at how she reacted to the bundle of baby yoshis he had with him and couldn't help but chuckle at how she acted like several of the girls in his class. Gushing at how cute she thought they were. He looked down to see all the babies were now asleep. "I guess I should hurry and get home so we can get some sleep."

"Naruto!"

Naruto jumped at the fact that someone shouted out his name and turned around to see Iruka jumping down towards him. He looked down to see that the Yoshis were still sleeping and looked back at Iruka. "What's up, Iruka"

Iruka glared down at Naruto as he crossed his arms. "Naruto, do you have any idea how much trouble you're in?!"

Naruto tilted his head as he had no clue why Iruka was angry at him. "For what? I didn't even do anything."

Iruka tapped his foot as he shook his head disbelievingly "Naruto, what you did can be seen as a major crime. You could be executed for this and there is very little I can do."

Naruto was a little stunned at hearing this but was still confused cause he hasn't done anything "Iruka! What the hell are you talking about?!"

Iruka sighed as he answered, "for stealing the Forbidden scroll!"

Now Naruto was fully confused about this "I haven't stolen anything! I don't even know what the hell the forbidden scroll is! I was at Ichiraku's all day and I'm only now going home. Why the hell would you think that I stole anything!" Naruto felt his anger rise as he hated the fact that he was being blamed for something that he didn't even do."

Iruka looked the boy in the face to see if he could see any sign of him lying. After a minute he could tell that Naruto was telling the truth but that confused him. 'Why would the report say that Naruto was the one to steal the scroll then? Unless….' "Someone must have transformed into you and stole the scroll." was he mumbled words as he thought about it not realizing that he said it out loud.

Naruto heard what Iruka said and went wide-eyed at this. "Wait! Someone transformed into me and is using me as a scapegoat!?" He knew he should feel more shocked at this but honestly, it was something that he felt that someone would do this.

Iruka looked stunned that Naruto had heard him and saw the look he had in his eyes. "Naruto, don't….." he didn't get to finish his statement as Naruto shoved the yoshis at him which caused him to hold onto the bowl. He looked down at them before looking up in time to see Naruto running off

"Take care of them for me!"

"Naruto wait!" but it was too late and Naruto was off at great speeds. He looked down at the sleeping yoshis as he called them and sweatdropped at what to do now

"Naruto" was hopping through the trees with a large scroll on his back and a mad grin on his face. "Heh, it was close but I was able to get that Anbu to see me and getaway. With this, that little brat will be executed and I will be on my way to lord Orochimaru." After knowing that he was in the clear from any pursuers, thankful that he had taken several risks to get to this point, his want for power got the better of him and stopped. He landed on the ground and put the scroll down as he opened it. "Maybe a little peek won't hurt. I deserve to know some of these since I got this earlier than intended. He opened the scroll and began to look through what they had. Some of them were some things that he couldn't do but there were a bunch of forbidden jutsu that he could use. "Now, which one should I start with?"

"HEY, ASSHOLE!"

"Naruto" looked up in time to see something impact the ground causing a shockwave that sent him flying. He was able to correct himself and land on a tree and looked up to see who it was that caught him.

From the dust cloud, Naruto stood up and glared at the imposter that was wearing his old jumpsuit. As he took a step forward he stepped on the scroll that was on the ground and looked at the page to see that it was talking about a jutsu called the "shadow clone jutsu" he looked at it and quickly ready how to do it which to his fortune was one simple hand sign. He looked back up at the imposter and spoke "So you're the one that is trying to get me in trouble. Who the hell are you?!"

"Naruto" gave a sadistic smoke before he was engulfed in smoke to reveal Mizuki. "So the demon brat found me. How the hell did you catch me so easily."

Naruto's glare increased at the sight of who it was that was trying to get him in trouble. The very man that had tried to kill him. He flared his nose as he tightened his fist "this is the same forest that you tried to kill me in. I just ran around to look for you and saw you through the trees. Now it's payback time!"

"Hahaha like a little demon shit like you could handle a Chunin like me!"

Naruto didn't care if the man was a Chunin. already fought with Bowsette who was strong enough to tear him apart. how much more powerful could Mizuki be? He began to walk towards Mizuki ready for a tough fight

Something he didn't know was that Bowsette is galaxies stronger than Mizuki but he did not know since he still saw himself as the weak genin and the fight he had with the woman made him think that she wasn't that strong. Just stronger than him

Mizuki didn't like the sight of Naruto walking to him as if the kid wasn't walking to his death. He sneered at him before he came up with a good idea that would cause the kid some trauma. "Hey, kid? Wanna know why the villagers hate you?" he smirked at the sight of Naruto freezing in place

Naruto stopped moving as this was something he did want to know. For all his life he had been hated by everyone in the village and wanted to know why. And here was the asshole that tried to kill him ready to tell him why. "Why do they hate me?" his voice was stern as he was still mad

Mizuki smirked as he moved his hand to the large four-star shuriken on his back. "Don't you find it odd how the festival always lands on your birthday? Why do you think everyone calls you a demon brat? Twelve years ago when the fourth battled the Kyuubi, he wasn't able to kill it like everyone thought. Instead, he chose to seal the monster away into a weakened form so that the rest of us could kill you when we can…" he shifted his feet and got a good grip on his weapon. He then pointed at Naruto. "The fourth sealed him into you making you the Kyuubi incarnate!"

Naruto paused at hearing this as he thought about what he was just told. It all made sense. His birthday being the very day the fourth beat the Kyuubi. Why everyone called him a demon child. Why everyone glared at him every time he was nearby. It all made sense. Tears began to fall from his face as he realized something else. 'They all knew. The Hokage knew, Iruka knew, everyone in the village knew!' his fist tightened as he let the tears fall

Mizuki grinned at seeing the boy's lowered head and he pulled his weapon off his back and threw it at Naruto waiting in anticipation for it to cut Naruto in half. But suddenly

*BAM*

He felt an extreme amount of pain in his stomach as his eyes bulged out as his sight showed him his weapon had just hit a tree. He looked down to see that Naruto had moved too fast to see and punched him in the stomach. He didn't realize was that he was looking at everything in slow motion and after what to him was a few minutes, found his feet being lifted off the ground and then sent flying through a whole bunch of trees

Naruto had his fist stretched out as he glared at where Mizuki was sent flying. His tears would not stop as it hurt to know about this. After a second of standing there, he straightened up and began to walk away from the scene not caring anymore about Mizuki.

Mizuki had stopped flying as he was wedged into a tree, miraculously, alive. He was unconscious with his eyes open and rolled to the back of his head as a very deep imprint of Naruto's fist was in his stomach this is what the Anbu came across as they had heard the boom come from here

~streets~

Iruka was power walking towards where he saw Naruto run off to as he wanted to make sure that his student was ok. After a few minutes of this, he saw Naruto walking towards him with his head tilted down which covered more of his face with the hood on. "Naruto!" he ran to stand in front of the boy and was worried when he saw that the boy didn't look up

Naruto didn't look up at the man as he did not want to deal with anyone right now. He brought his hands up and took the Yoshis from Iruka before he began to walk away towards his home.

Iruka was even more concerned when he could tell that something was very wrong with Naruto "Naruto wait!" he saw that Naruto did not even slow down and he was left standing there. "...Naruto…"

~apartment~

Naruto had made it to his apartment without running into anyone. He moved to his bed and gently took the yoshis out of the egg bowl and placed them on his bed before he gently laid down with them. throughout all this, the tears kept falling and he really didn't want to deal with anything right now. He just wanted to get some sleep and forget this day ever happened. He closed his eyes and slowly began to lose consciousness. But it turns out that life wasn't finished kicking him while he was down

"Kit."

I could not choose which color Yoshi for Naruto so in the end, I made it so that Naruto had many different colors. The reason for the egg hatching so quickly is because, well in the games the eggs tend to hatch the second they appear. And I don't remember what game it was but I have seen where a single egg would have multiple yogis inside so yeah.

The reason I am making Naruto super powerful is because if you look at the feats that the Mario characters have done in the games, they are ridiculously powerful. Heck I believe that Mario and Bowser were sending moons or planets at each other as if they were normal attacks

In case I didn't make this clear, the graduation ceremony is in a bout a month so this is all happening before the main thing and there is a small section there that shows that Naruto is helped out by what happened

We will be going back to the Mushroom kingdom soon but some things need to happen before Naruto goes back or….will he go back?
