Over the years that followed the Flare it became increasingly difficult for Ladena to convince her ex-husband that it was not in their daughter's best interest to live in the WICKED headquarters. Most of the families of members of the organization were in the headquarters where the tests were prepared, since there were the best teachers and doctors for the children, and also the place was quite well protected against the Cranks. Despite the fact that most of the little ones were immune, the adults were not, and although over the years the young people ended up playing important roles in the creation of the proofs, certainly the older ones were still necessary to carry them out.
Randall wanted the best for Hayleen and that in his head meant the luxuries WICKED had to offer. In addition, her father did not see with good eyes that his competition had his family with them and he did not, what would others think of them? Clearly the answer was not going to be that they were the perfect family and that put him in a terrible mood. For this reason, he all the time tried to manipulate her mother to get what he wanted so badly, without success. Not that Ladena did not see the benefits of living in that place, but she considered that the risk of Lyn meeting one of those monsters was worse if they were constantly close to her. So no matter how much Randall tried he never managed to convince her and not wanting to look like the bad guy he always ended up giving in.
Of course her father was not aware of the real reasons why his daughter would never live in that place. He firmly believed that her mother was against WICKED because it reminded her of her failure to vote on the spread of the virus and did not want to have contact with the people who have been on the Council. In fact, it supported his hypothesis that Ladena had even refused to carry out the immunity study of his daughter in the prestigious laboratories of WICKED and had asked her friend Dr. Alessa to execute them, little did he know that the results sent to he for the mother of his daughter were forged. That was the reason why Randall lived believing that his daughter could contract the Flare at any moment and that it was not really necessary that she be with the immune that WICKED found. Regardless, Hayleen's father was more than influential and was able to get her virtual private lessons from the WICKED teachers. As brilliant as her daughter was, the only reason the organization did not force her to participate like others was because of who her parents were.
In the last few months her father had changed the strategy, temporarily that was sure. Randall wanted to take his daughter at least once to the place where he lived and give her a tour. Although Ladena and Hayleen had refused a thousand times, in the end they had no choice but to accept, because one of the most important exams Lyn had to take in person in the organization and they found no excuse to save themselves from that situation without calling the attention. To Ladena's peace of mind, the visit to the barracks was the same day the Maze Trials began, so three of the psychopaths would no longer be a problem. That had been clear to them because Randall used to tell his daughter about those four very clever boys and had mentioned that Newt, Minho, and Gally would be part of the group that would enter the maze first.
-Be very careful honey- Ladena whispered to her daughter as she hugged her tightly with tears in her eyes.
-Don't worry mom. I'll take the exam, dad is going to give me a quick tour of what he considers most important, and then I'll come home with you. You know that he will not be able to introduce me to anyone of great importance, they will all be busy with the start of the trials. Dad has already repeated several times how disappointed he is not to be able to introduce me to "those important children", Thomas will be very busy with the proofs and I will not be able to meet him. The worst that can happen is that I have to listen to my father's praise of his intelligence and the grades they got - she tried to calm her mother with a smile.
Ladena laughed, certainly that last thing sounded like something her ex-husband would end up doing.
-I'm sure he will also add how proud he is of you for obtaining scores as high as theirs and for how smart and good you are -she replied mocking Randall, it was something that in Lyn's thirteen years she had never been able to avoid make.
-You know as well as I do that "good person" is only mentioned by you. If he does it, it is because it is part of a pre-planned speech, in which he knows that the right thing to do is to say that. Her self-help book told him-Hayleen snorted, rolling her eyes-. Do not miss me too much.
-I won't- her mother answered mockingly-. You will do it great, as always. Do not get nervous.
A couple of hours later Lyn had already taken the exam, she was the only one who had to do it, since most of the others had taken it before the start of the trials. Her father had begun to show her around the barracks, starting with his room and his office, but eventually he had had to leave the tour in charge of a poor doctor who crossed right in his way to be able to participate in an important meeting that had gone ahead. Of course the woman had tried to protest, Hayleen could tell that she was also very busy and in a hurry so Lyn had quickly assured her that there really was no need for she to show her anything else and that she could accompany her wherever she needed to go. At this answer, the lady's eyes seemed to light up and she began to drag her by the hand down the hall.
-My name is Gabriella, you can call me Gabby- she informed her with an enthusiastic smile-. I do not know if your father told you about me but we are friends-before this Hayleen could not help rolling her eyes in her head, she had long ago learned that what her father called his friends were really only companions of work-. I was administering the drugs necessary to sedate the children entering the trials today. Surely your father mentioned to you that their memories will be erased -said Gabby as if it were the most exciting-, so we give them intravenously a sedative that kicks in an hour later so that they have that goodbye time with the person they are now before we erase their memory.
That sounded horrible, wherever you hear it. Lyn's father had mentioned that they would not remember anything and that those who would enter numbers today a mixture of children with and without marks, which have gotten tattoos in the shape of a black triangle on their biceps or on their back (undoubtedly another stupid variable) but he hadn't said anything about the "time to meet yourself" (quite psychological, no doubt).
-I can wait here if you need to continue with that. I know that everyone are quite excited with the beginning of the tests, I do not want to be a problem -she replied trying to hide how much she despised what they did in this horrible place.
-Oh, don't worry dear. You are no inconvenience. In fact, I was already over. I have to administer the drug to just one more and then I have an hour free before I come to pick them up -the brightness had returned to the doctor's eyes, she seemed like she was planning something-. Randall mentioned several times how disappointed he was that his perfect daughter couldn't meet any of our star boys. I just have to administer the sedative to one of them so I thought I could leave you for that hour to get to know each other - by this point the maniacal grin was back.
Hayleen was horrified, she couldn't believe what was happening and how she ended up in such a catastrophe. She tried to protest but the lady didn't seem to want to hear anything she was saying, misinterpreting everything because who wouldn't want to meet such important people? Certainly not a girl who lived with her mother without contact with the exciting things that happened in WICKED.
-It will be a secret between us, pretty girl. The boy is supposed to be alone this hour -she said, winking at her.
Before she could find a way to loosen up and get out of that situation the doctor opened a door and dragged her inside with her. The room was just as big and luxurious as her father's, and it screamed from all sides that the person in that room was one of the privileged ones in the barracks. The person who lived there looked at them the moment they entered, probably waiting for the doctor to appear with the drug she was going to administer. The truth is that he did not look like a child who was about to turn fourteen, his body was not and he did not have the face of a baby who was still that age. This was not really a surprise to Hayleen, she was sure that her other soul mates were the same, she certainly was also. It was common for Lyn to look in the mirror and hate her own body, it reminded her of her destiny and what it was made for. Not that the marks on her skin let her forget it, but her body did a good job reminding her that she was not normal like the other girls and that her body was already of a woman and her face was not childish at all. In fact, she was convinced that her body was not going to change much more, she had already fully developed unlike other thirteen-year-old girls.
It really seemed like hours in her head as she analyzed the situation she had gotten into and searched for possible solutions, but it was only a few seconds. It may be that she is in the presence of one of her kindred souls but that did not mean that something had to happen. She had never been so close to one of them so she didn't know what the bond that united them would feel like. She decided that the best thing she could do was try not to get too much attention and deny everything if he mentioned something. She was convinced that they would feel the attraction for each other but just as she did not know what it felt like to be in front of her soul mate, the boy would not know either and she could convince him that it was just that it finally seemed sexy a girl to him.
-Mr. Paige it's time. Hope you don't mind but I brought Randall and Ladena Lichliter's daughter with me. Her father was showing her the facilities but he had to go to a meeting urgently and I thought you two could take advantage of this hour to get to know each other, since Randall had told me how disappointed he was that none of you knew her -the doctor described excitedly-. I let you to talk, you sure have a lot in common. I'll be back in an hour to take you to the trials, Gally.
-Wait! -Lyn tried to stop her since she had finally reacted in panic knowing for sure that she did not want to stay an hour with that huge boy alone.
Of course it was late and when she tried to open the damn door it was closed. She finally did what she had been avoiding from the second she entered the room and looked at him meeting his eyes.
Shit.
Instantly her body ignited, she had never felt so intense in her entire life. Every nerve ending in her body sang by touching him and letting him touch her. Her pupils dilated and she was grateful for having a skirt on because certainly if she had pants they would already be wet.
-Hi- she finally reacted and tried to return to her plan to act normally and not show how much she wanted that boy to tear off her clothes. If she convinced him, he would have no choice but to think that the attraction was unidirectional and, for therefore, she was not the girl they had been looking for years-. My name is Hayleen. Nice to meet you, my father has talked a lot about you and how intelligent you are.
-Obviously you already know who I am. I've heard of you too, Randall Spilker's heiress who's just as smart as I am and no one really understands why she doesn't live with her father and all the other kids here-Gally kept ogling her and Lyn didn't want to look, she was really trying hard not to, but she was sure he had a huge erection-. Not even one visit until now that you were forced to take an exam in person-he said analyzing her with an extremely intense look.
-Oh yeah. My mother really does not like being in contact with bad memories and people who were to blame for something so horrible - like your uncle, she couldn't help but think of John Michael who was one of the main causes of the crisis they were in- . I really love her and it's not a big deal to live with her while I have my classes virtually. Not that it really matters, after all I'm not immune like many of you -she added, trying to sound disdainful and envious of the children who were safe.
-It's funny that you're not immune -now he seemed to be looking at her neck, which made her even more nervous, and try to sneakily accommodate the scarf that she had tied around her neck and fell over her clavicle to hide the marks on her skin-. I heard that they did not perform your analysis in WICKED, maybe the results were wrong.
He was clearly very attentive to the answer she was going to give him. She couldn't help but feel under a magnifying glass with him looking at her like that and questioning such important things about her cover.
-Unfortunately I am sure they are not. My mother's best friend who is the one who tested my blood is an excellent professional- she informed him, trying to look angry to hide her growing panic and nervously rearranging her scarf again.
He smiled at her with a predatory look in her eyes and suddenly threw himself on top of her. Lyn tried to back away but she barely felt the brush of her fingers on her skin couldn't help but hold back a groan and ruin her mask of tranquility. Not that it mattered anymore, Gally held in his hand the only thing that had hidden his name engraved on her skin from him.
-Ok love, then I'm sure your mother and her friend faked them. Trying to hide from me, precious? -he asked her, cornering her against a wall-. You should know that you can't do it, sooner or later we were going to find you. You are ours, it is your destiny.
-Get away from me monster! I will never be yours and I will not let you have the power to fulfill that destiny- she looked at him furiously trying to push him despite how much her body ached from touching him.
-I think you deserve a punishment- he growled at her-. Hiding from us, you have been very mean to your soul mates.
Gally's lips met Hayleen's in a hugging kiss. A loud moan escaped from Lyn as he growled and pulled her closer to him, making her feel how hard he was for her.
-Please do not do it! Stop! - she cried desperately but the only response she got from him was his hands ripping her clothes savagely.
He released her so he could remove his own clothes and Hayleen lunged for the door desperate to open it, momentarily forgetting in her panic that it was closed. Not that it mattered too much because she immediately felt one of his strengths less of him playing with one of her breasts and another grabbing her waist with force to attract her to his body and be able to attack with his mouth the skin marked with his name on her soulmate's collarbone.
Lyn couldn't help but squirm and moan desperately at the feel of her erection pressing against her lower back. Clearly he was as anxious as she because he soon after threw her on the bed and placed himself on top of her, kissing her and biting to leave marks all over her body.
-No!- she tried to push him again but he was huge and didn't move an inch.
The only thing she got from him was for him to look at her predatory and kiss her dominatingly to distract her while one of his hands returned to hold her waist with an iron grip and the other of his squeezed her smaller hands of her together on her head.
Hayleen couldn't help but scream in her head desperately a chorus of cries of NO PLEASE, SOMEONE STOP HIM and HELP. Of course no one appeared magically and she couldn't stop him or prevent her body from twisting with pleasure when finally his huge cock entered where it belonged.
Gally moaned and groaned as he mercilessly slammed into her as hard as he could, which was a lot. The first time was supposed to hurt but sadly all she felt was desire and pleasure so intense that she felt like she was going to faint. That feeling of emptiness, that something was missing that she felt throughout her hole life, had ceased to exist. She felt so full as she tightened around his cock frantically and helplessly she moaned uncontrollably at his name as she felt like she was going to explode at how good it felt.
Something told her that he was about to come just like her, and suddenly she regained a hint of sanity.
-Gally please get out of me!- she begged him as tears fell down her cheeks in despair-. We're not using protection-she added as best she could between moans of pleasure but he just looked at her with a dark look, smiled at her and kissed her hard as he accelerated the movement of his hips even more to come inside her at the same time as Hayleen reached for her peak screaming his name.
They lay for a few minutes catching their breath with their bodies intertwined until Gally got up to hurriedly change and try to communicate with Thomas to tell him that he had found her before the drug takes effect and passes out. However, just before he can touch send Hayleen lunged at him kissing him and pushing him onto the bed to straddle him. His hands squeezed her butt tightly against hers and pulled her closer to his growing erection but he was quickly starting to feel dizzy.
-No- Gally growled trying to get to the cell phone again and failing because his vision was quickly darkening.
-Don't fight with the sedative. You won't remember me and no one will know about this. This is the first and last time that you touch me-Lyn said helping the desesperate boy to lie down on the bed while his eyes closed.
She hurriedly lunged for the phone and erased the written words. She turned off the cell phone and put on her clothes as quickly as she could while she sat down to wait for the doctor on the desk chair.
She stared at Gally, knowing that this would be the last time she would see him and remembering the kiss she allowed herself to give him to distract him and how much she had enjoyed it. She was well aware that this would be the last and she would make sure it was her only sexual experience with any of her soul mates. She was convinced that she would never forget it.
