The weeks after his acceptance letter arrived were pretty boring for Raven, since he'd already designed his costume, he'd been able to send his design back on the same day he'd received his paperwork for it, he'd made a few adjustments to his costume but that was just making it so he could sheath his katana on his side
Speaking of his Katana he'd received a follow-up letter that was basically just a bunch of paperwork for him to fill in explaining that he couldn't use his sword to kill, any accidents were his to deal with, etcetera
It's lucky that this version of him came from a Professional Hero family since he wouldn't have been allowed to get a weapon that easily otherwise, it didn't hurt that his Dad in this world used a sword of his own, though the difference between a Rapier and a Katana was massive it still amounted to something
He didn't question it, just quietly accepting that he'd been allowed to use a Katana
"Well now I have both Kyoka Suigetsu the Zanpakuto and Kyoka Suigetsu the Shikai" He ignored the weird looks he got as he muttered to himself, simply continuing with his journey
Anyways, the week after his acceptance was boring, he mostly just spent them either wandering Musutafu or at home, though he did occasionally go to the gym, the owner was happy that he'd been accepted into UA but Raven had seen the flash of Greed in the man's eyes at his confession
Safe to say he'd be using the gym at UA from there on out, he doesn't have any qualms with being used for media attention or publicity but it'd be annoying to deal with, especially since it wouldn't matter in the end since he'd be going to some other world after this world was done anyways!
Anyways, as the few weeks before school started came to an end, Raven had found himself becoming more and more excited for what was to come, his power wasn't useful in the entrance exam and the fact he placed in the top 10 was a miracle all of itself, however now that he'd be facing actual sentient being meant it was his time to shine
You can be as powerful as you want, as skilled as you want but at the end of the day when you face hin you can't trust your senses, you can't close your eyes to fight because he can manipulate your hearing, you can't trust your sense of touch since he can negate it or create fake sensations, you can't trust your sense of taste since he can overpower it
The only people in this world who could actually force him to adapt would be Aizawa, Shigaraki or All For One and that's assuming that the latter of the two have some nullification based Quirks in their arsenal or quirks that just work around his own
Plus Eraserhead because the man could erase his power, but even then the man would have to keep his Quirk active from the minute he met Raven since he could just be a fake, a fake who wouldn't be affected by his Quirk
Shaking his head he walked past the gates of UA, the small Student ID card that had stuck sent to him with the rest of his stuff letting him walk past the gate without being squashed like a bug, after wandering through the massive building he eventually found his way to the classroom door that led to room 1-A
He was a slight but early but that didn't mean he was the first one to arrive, he could already hear the loud voice of Iida through the door, walking in he stayed as quiet as possible, heading to his seat - Seat Number 9 - and sat down, dropping his head on his desk he closed his eyes
It didn't take long for classmate after classmate to trickle in, every so often he'd raise his head to glance at them before settling down, though he'd been slightly shocked to find out that Tokoyami - who sits to his left - actually does possess a Crow's head in this world, he shouldn't have been surprised but just seeing it there was a bit strange
Not the weirdest he'd seen in the last 3… 4 months, but still strange
He'd seen a guy at the gym who had a crocodile head.
The poor guy had gone through a bad breakup because he refused to give his boyfriend head… why anyone would want to get a blowjob from someone with a crocodile head - an animal with a bite force of 5,000 Pounds per square inch - he doesn't know but goddamn whoever does must have balls of steel

A quiet chuckle escaped him at his shit joke, luckily the only one to hear his joke with his bird-headed seatmate so he wouldn't have to worry about Iida bitching to him or whatever
Actually, he's surprised he hasn't been shouted at already for laying on his desk
"Don't put your legs on the desk, don't you think that's disrespectful to your seniors?!" He moved his head, resting his chin in his arms as he watched the scene unfolding before him
From his place next to Tokoyami Raven could easily see Midoriya's head popping in from the door as Iida stood over the ever cocky Bakugo, the explosive student just sneering back at the future class rep
"No, as a matter of fact, I don't think so. Which middle school are you from anyways you two-bit extra?" Raven just tuned them out, after a bit back and forth between the two students with Midoriya eventually being brought into the conversation and then Ururaka showing up, Raven waited patiently for the interruption that was bound to happen by their homeroom teacher-
"If you're just here to make friends then you can pack up your stuff Now." Drawled the tired voice of Shota Aizawa from where he knew the teacher to be laying on the floor
"Welcome to UA's Hero Course, it took you all 8 seconds to quiet down, that's not going to work, time is precious and rational students would understand that." From where he's sat he couldn't see the teacher yet and he couldn't be bothered to get out of his chair just to see the man a few minutes early, that said he could still hear the zipping of the sleeping bag the man actively carried with him
"Hello, I'm Shota Aizawa. Your teacher" The tall, slender man announced, messy shoulder-length black hair falling down his back as he stepped into the classroom, a tired expression on his pale face
Of course, at his words the rest of the class reacted, letting out a strangely unified 'Huuuhhh' though not all of them reacted, he kept quiet, already expecting it, as did the still apathetic Shoto Todoroki, the Bird Headed Fumikage Tokoyami and the still pissed off Katsuki Bakugo
He'd also noticed just exactly whose placement in the class he'd taken, now that he was able to see everyone he noticed the distinct lack of one Koji Koda
Which is a shame since he'd prefer to have the quiet student in the class compared to Minoru Mineta or Yuga Aoyama
"Right let's get to it." He was interrupted from his thoughts as Aozawa pulled out a gym shirt from his sleeping back "Put these on and come outside."
The man quietly escorted them to the changing rooms, where they each got changed, some of the boys started chatting with one another, Kaminari and Kirishima were having a nice chat and Mineta was probably cumming in pants at the thought of the girls changing in the next room over
Raven just sighed, keeping to himself as he quietly got changed into the dark blue uniform
Eventually, they all finished and found their way out, finding their teacher on what looked to be a standard sports field where they were being told all about the Quirk Apprehension Test
"But what about the Opening Ceremony? Or the meeting with the Guidance Counselor?" Uraraka called out, worry colouring her tone
"If you want to make it to the big leagues you can't waste time on pointless ceremonies" the teacher replied, much to the class's shock "Here at UA we're not tethered to traditions, that means I get to run My class however I see fit."
"You've been taking standardised tests most of your lives, but you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." The class continued to express their shock at the teacher's words "The countries still trying to pretend that we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power Excel, it's not rational, one day the ministry of education will learn."
"Bakugo, you got the most points in the entrance exam, what was your farthest distance through with a softball when you were in Junior High?"
"67 Meters, I think." Raven rolled his eyes, bored of watching the play by play all over again
"Right, try to do it with your Quirk?" The teacher chuckled a softball at the blonde student, who grinned safely at the object, Raven just watched in silence like the rest of the class, this would be everyone's - bar his - first time seeing each other's quirks, so everyone was excited to see what Mr Number 1 could do
Bakugo prepared his throw, stretching a few times before throwing it with a scream of "DIEEEEEEEE!", a massive explosion rattling the air as the ball took flight
Raven ignored Aizawa's rant about knowing their capabilities, instead just focusing on where the tennis ball went
'I recall Bakugo saying his Quirk is the most versatile Quirk in the class during this test, even though he didn't know about Todoroki or Momo's Quirks, both of which are more versatile than his own. Unluckily for everyone here, mine trunks everyone's in versatility'
A quiet chuckle escaped him at his thoughts, luckily no one seemed to hear it so when he tuned back in, Aizawa was already chastising the class about their lax attitude instead of asking him about what's funny
"-you think it's all going to be games and playtime? Idiots. Today you'll compete in eight physical tests to gauge your potential, whoever comes in last has none and will be expelled imminently." The class reacted imminently, most of the class who were unsure of themselves or just outright shocked letting out loud 'HUUUHHH's while those like Yoayorozu, - who thought this wasn't real - Todoroki and Bakugo didn't react at all
Neither did he but that's because he already knew he'd pass and that Midoriya would (ever so slightly) exceed Aizawa expectations
"As I said, I get to decide how this class runs, Understand? If that's a problem you can head home right now." Aizawa's grin at that moment was very sadistic, he must've been taking lessons with Midnight to get it down right
"You can't do that! We just got here, even if it wasn't the first day, that isn't fair!" Oh Uraraka, you sweet, sweet summer child
You should've just shut up
Oh well, nothing he can do about it but watch the fireworks explode
"And Natural disasters are? Are power-hungry villains? Or catastrophic accidents that wipe out whole cities? No. The world is full of unfairness, it's a heroes job to combat that unfairness, if you wanna be a pro you're gonna have to push yourself to the brink, for the next three years UA will throw one terrible hardship after another at you, so go beyond, Plus Ultra style. Show me it's no mistake that you're here."
Poor Aizawa, he doesn't know just how much those words are gonna haunt him, it's about three days from now when everything goes to shit and the world starts burning, one day until All Mights first lesson, two days until the 'reporters' break-in and three days before the USJ incident
Does he risk interfering? Risk putting Shigaraki and Kurojiri under his illusions and knocking them out? Will he even have the chance? That's a stupid question, the moment they appear he can have them finished but… does he want to? Everything after that becomes an unknown and he doesn't know if the 'Creator' put something in place to make him unable to do it
Damnit, he'll think of something later, All For One definitely has something in the works just in case Shigaraki does get captured so… damnit

"Race Number 5, King, Sato, your up" He sighed, making his way over to the track with the large, bulky student.
This is it, the moment of truth
"3…"
He took in a deep breath, sending a glance at his classmates as he did
"2…"
He released his breath, focusing back on the track
"1…"
He prepared himself for the signal to start and just as the robot spoke-
"GO!"
'Raven' disappeared, appearing just before the finish line which 'He' quickly stepped through, with 'the robot' announcing his time as it did for everyone else
"0.58 seconds." Raven chuckled at Iida's shocked expression, clearly expecting himself to be the fastest person in the class though when a person like Raven shows up who can have anyone believing anything? Well, you can never exactly be stronger or faster than him
Of course, poor Sato was left to actually run the 50 meters, and followed up behind Raven with a respectable 7.42 Seconds, the teens height and muscle mass working against him in the test of speed
Raven didn't say anything and Aizawa didn't either, he knew the teacher wouldn't force him to reveal his Quirk since he was using it the best he could, of course, they both know he didn't run the race and they both know the time he gave wasn't completely accurate, but did the teacher call him out or anything? Nope, the man simply gave 'him' an apathetic stare and continued to announce the next pair

The next 4 tests to pass were much more boring, with Raven just using his illusions to make the others see and hear him do the tests, he had done the strength test as normal, getting a respectable 69 kg though everyone else simply saw him getting 700 kg instead
The Seated toe touch was done normally as well, he didn't feel the need to use his illusions to fool people into seeing something he could already do. The standing long jump saw Raven 'teleporting' again, after 'jumping' He simply appeared across the sandpit.
Finally, the Sideways Jumping was also done with him simply flickering from side to side, people would more than likely assume he had a teleportation Quirk and he was fine with them assuming that they'd find out what his Quirk really is in the coming days anyways
Of course, the Softball pitch was always going to be the most interesting out of the eight events, even so, he didn't pay too much attention to anything until it was Midoriya's turn, even when it was his turn he simply copied Uraraka's go and 'teleported' the 'Ball' unto space
Of course, Aizawa knew what was up but the man has an impressive poker face, especially when his phone gave him its own infinity score despite not having been thrown
'God I Love this power'
"Midoriya." Raven snapped to attention, eyes following the green-haired student as he made his way to the throwing spot. This would be his first time seeing One For All in person and he was keen to see exactly how amazing the power was first hand
Shame Aizawa erased his Quirk before he could break his entire arm to throw it, sure his finger would break and Raven would get to see a portion of Midoriyas hidden strength but if he chucked that ball with his entire arm encased in One For All? Well, he'd decimate Bakugos record instead of beating it by 0.1 meters
Of course, Bakugo was pissed off and lept forwards, intent on exploding 'Deku' into itty bitty pieces before Aizawa put a stop to his assault, erasing his Quirk and trying him up with his capture weapon before complaining about dry eye
From there the events continued, with Raven using his illusions to fool the others into seeing and feeling what he wanted them to, and when everything was over and the scores were going to be shown-
"Alright everyone, it's time for the results so settle down." The man didn't say anything more, simply clicking his phone which caused a Projection of the scores to go into the air, which looked something like this-

Raven Chuckled silently, he'd cheated his way to the top of the scoreboard, Yaoyorozo had definitely won altogether, there's no denying that and if Raven wasn't using his Quirk he'd definitely be near the bottom of the pack, just below Sero of he had to guess but with his Quirk? When he could just make his scores the highest there? If he came anything but first he'd have flipped his shit
"Also, I was lying about expelling someone." The man said before anyone could interrupt "That was a logical ruse to pull out your best effort."
He snickered at the shocked "WHAAAAAAATTT" The class released with Momo quietly explaining that she'd known all along that it was a ruse
Raven didn't correct her, she had enough confidence issues right now without him telling her about his 'expulsion' of last years Hero Class
Before he left, Aizawa dropped Midoriya a note that allows him to get checked out by Recovery Girl, Raven simply chuckled again, following the rest of the class so they could get changed again, the boys all talking about the different quirks and Midoriyas throw as they changed
Raven just kept to himself as he changed, as fun as everything was today he knew the world was going to shit I'm three days and had set him heavy he needed to get off his mind by then
Okay, I don't know how to feel about this chapter, it seems rushed but I just don't know how to extend it without writing out every single piece of dialogue from the anime and while I definitely could've started writing day two into this chapter… I don't know, it didn't feel right. The chapters will slowly start getting fuller and fuller I think but the opening chapters will be kinda slow I think

Anyways, the original version of this chapter had Raven using the Quirk of the other students during the Quirk Apprehension Test but then I realised he'd have to reveal his illusions since he couldn't have people expecting him to always have some amazing Quirk to use, sure he could emulate and make people feel certain things but… idk I just figured him being slightly blunt with his ability was better, especially since he'll be much more subtle during the other tests and situations

Does Raven pit Kurogiri and Shigaraki in an Illusion and basically prevent the USJ Incident entirely? Does he not do anything? Is there something out un place to prevent him from doing it by the Creator? What happens? Let me know I guess
Also, I'm churning out chapters right now and I don't know how to feel about it, I'm just excited for this fanfiction to be honest but I feel like I'll burn out really bad but I've got nothing better to do than write my shit so…
