Got a good amount of positive reviews from the last chapter so thanks for that! Most of the questions asked were about super saiyan and stuff and it's going to take a while for that stuff to come around. And I understand that the god forms are nearly impossible since you need the pure hearted saiyans, but Vegeta got the form through training with Whis, then again Whis is not in this story. There were also a few reviews regarding Axel's skills and how he is still too weak and that he'll never surpass demon lords and stuff. And I don't want to start any conflict on this so whether you believe that a Slime character is stronger than the gods in dragon ball or not, is up to you guys, I'm just trying to make the story fun. There were a few questions about pairings but that's not going to be for a while, leave any suggestions in the reviews if you want. Some small locations I introduce, like the farm, will make comebacks so don't worry about that. With all the questions out of the way, let's get going.

A few days had passed since Axel left the mine. Travel was going a bit slower than he'd like, but it was pretty decent for training, mostly due to the fact he was carrying nearly a ton while flying almost all day. It wasn't the heaviest thing he has lifted so far, but carrying it for extended periods was pretty tiring. He'd probably have another few days of casually flying in order to make it back to the village. It would also be nice to get new clothes since his shirt was torn and his pants had a few rips along the legs.
'Hopefully before all the fun starts' it didn't take a genius to know that the Orcs were probably going to attack the lizardfolk. Going off the fact that Souei, back when Axel was in the village, said that there were Lizardfolk recruiting other Goblin villages after the attack on Benimaru's people.
Currently Axel was sitting in front of a campfire, there was the skinned carcass of an animal nearby and a few bones lying around him. Axel stretched from his seat on a log and stared at the night sky 'I should really work on some new techniques. Especially if I ever encounter hoards of enemies again, but what exactly can I try to do? I can always attempt to learn the Kamehameha, but that's just a strong beam attack. I need something that's going to be helpful in long term combat'.
Axel sighed and crossed his legs 'The special beam canon would be a good thing to learn since my attack potency would go up by like three times if I used it. But it takes a long time to charge, plus I would need to actually learn it. Instant transmission is a good choice but Goku learned that from aliens and I need to practice that when I have people around. Maybe the solar flare or the multi form? I wouldn't even know where to start for those'. Axel then closed his eyes and crossed his arms to go into deeper thought 'If Goku is anything to go by, saiyans learn combat techniques fairly quickly but let's list off what I CAN do. So I know I can fly, shoot Ki blasts, power myself up through charging my energy to a certain extent, fire energy waves, expel my energy to push opponents back, use Ki as a barrier around my arms to block blades and… that's about it'.
"Aghhhh…." Axel groaned in frustration before lying down on the log. 'Okay one more time. I got flying, blasts, waves, powering up, a pseudo Kiai and-' Axel then shot up "Barriers!" Axel hopped off the log and looked at his hands. 'I can use my Ki as a pseudo barrier to block attacks, so why not make an energy shield? The androids could do it with their Ki and Goku has done it before so I guess I can try that'.
Axel then bent his knees a bit and brought his arms in a cross formation 'I know there's skin barriers that Vegito and stuff used in Z and that could be useful if someone uses a poison cloud, considering he survived inside Buu, who was trying to absorb him and his body was filled with magic'. Axel began to concentrate and bring his Ki to the surface. His Aura wasn't wildly flailing out, but was calmer as it wisped gently around him. Axel released a breath as the aura started to shrink 'Try and bring the aura down, but instead of around my arms, do it around my body'.
Slowly but surely, his energy started to smooth out and encompass his body, not just around in an aura as if he was charging up. But almost an outline as it covered his body in a bright whit/blue aura that was practically white. With a calm breath, Axel opened his eyes and straightened up 'I think it worked' Axel thought as he looked at his arms. The aura surrounding his arms wasn't a clear outline, it more resembled a flame 'Guess with time it becomes more stable'. Shortly after that thought, the aura fizzled out.
Don't think that will protect me from any blasts, but it should help with something piercing my body or a general field of magic from affecting me. Then again I won't know unless I try and I can't hold it for long, so either way I have to practice'. Axel then sat back on his log and started to think some more 'I still think I'm probably weeks, if not months, away from projecting it and making an energy shield that can encompass a small radius and protect me from large scale blasts'.
And so the night ended with Axel practicing for a few hours before going to sleep.

'Man I wish IPods or mp3 players existed. I mean they could… but I haven't seen any' Axel was thinking to himself as he was currently flying. It was just a little bit past noon and Axel was getting bored 'I mean flying is cool and invigorating' Axel did a small roll 'But the lack of human interaction, lack of music, fighting or any source of entertainment is getting kind of boring'. He had done a little bit of training in the morning for his Ki barrier, but no progress on projecting it forward into a bubble or shield. The time he was able to keep it active got a few minutes longer and he'd even been attempting it over the few hours he had been flying.
'I should be near Charles' farm actually' looking just a bit ahead, Axel could see a somewhat small town a few miles away. 'I think that's the town they mentioned before. And I do still have those scales and stuff from when I killed that monster about a week ago. Maybe I can sell them and get some new clothes. Might even run into them if they're in town'.
With his mind made up, Axel adjusted his course slightly and headed for the town in the distance. It didn't take long to reach it, from above it looked similar to one of those towns you'd see on shows like Little House on the Prairie. There weren't any walls, the buildings were mostly made of wood, a few were made from stone, the streets were fairly clean and there were a good amount of people walking around. From the air, Axel could easily identify a small church which had children playing around it, a restaurant which was releasing an amazing smell which had Axel's mouth-watering and a general store that was just across the street from the restaurant. This town easily had just over a hundred people in it and Axel would bet that a good portion of these guys were farmers and lived just outside the town.
'Guess I should stop by the general store first. Probably shouldn't just fly in from out of nowhere and scare a bunch of people'. Axel slowly descended at the edge of town and walked in as if he were a traveler. He walked for a few minutes and passed a few houses while giving a few strangers a friendly wave. They kindly waved back but gave him an odd look as they had not seen him before. It wasn't loud with chatter, but the clopping of horse hooves on the dirt road and the sounds of children playing by the church was nice.
As he passed by the church "Hey mister!" a young voice shouted out as he felt something nudge his foot "Can you pass the ball back?!" Looking down he could see that a crude looking baseball had rolled its way to his foot. Bending down he picked it up and with a casual flick of his wrist, he tossed it over to a small group of kids that were about fifty feet away.
Axel gave a small smile and a wave as he continued to walk 'Must be a church and a school'.
Not even a second after that thought a small bell wrung out "Alright back to school!"
Axel turned his head back to the church and was surprised at what he saw 'Is that Jeanne? Never mentioned she was a teacher'. The woman who was at the church doors was indeed Jeanne, she wore a white sundress of sorts, had on white sandals, wore a white sun hat and was ringing a small handheld bell. She hadn't noticed me yet since she was too busy ushering kids back inside 'I think I'll pay a quick visit'. There was a small pathway in front of the church at there was a few patches of grass nearby. The church itself was made of wood, was painted white and had a circular glass window at the top as well as some windows that looked out to the front of the church.
Axel approached the front of the church just as Jeanne was bent down slightly and was getting the last kid inside "Didn't tell me you were a teacher" Axel said as he was now at the base of the steps to the church.
She didn't jump or anything, but she turned her head and her eyes widened a little "Axel!" she said in surprise before standing straight up.
Axel gave a casual wave "Thought you were just a farm girl"
She chuckled a little "I'm not actually a teacher" she waved off "The usual teacher was going to be late today and she asked if I could take over for a bit, since I'm someone who has somewhat of an education".
"Oooo fancy"
"What brings you around these parts?"
"Did what I needed to do and was on my way back home. Thought I'd stop at this town and trade in some stuff, get some new clothes and maybe a bite to eat".
"Mrs. Dean should be back in about a half hour, why don't you stick around for a bit and I can show you around"
"Heh" Axel chuckled "Been a while since I've been to school" he shrugged "I got some time to kill so why not".
Jeanne then motioned in to the church "Come on in then" Axel nodded and walked inside, Jeanne following behind him. The interior of the church was pretty small and the entrance could probably only comfortably hold about five people, but just a few steps away was an archway that lead into the main area. It was also pretty small but there were two rows of at least ten benches in each so at least sixty people could fit inside, it'd be pretty tight though. The benches were made of a darker wood and so was the floor, the walls were painted grey and a small chalkboard was located at the back of the room which was behind a small desk/podium.
There were about thirty kids inside and they were all conversing "Alright everyone settle down please" Jeanne spoke as the two of us made our way to the front of the class. The whole class was filled with kids who were about seven to twelve years old and maybe one or two kids that were closer to sixteen or fifteen. "Mrs. Dean should be back soon so we'll be doing some history for now" the kids groaned a bit.
"Why do we have to learn more about old people" a kid whined.
"These 'old people' are the ones who shaped this town and other parts of the world" Jeanne replied "History is important".
Axel decided to speak "Plus you can learn some pretty cool stuff from another person's history"
The kids all looked at Axel and seemingly just noticed him. One of the kids, a young boy with messy brown hair, spoke from the back "Hey! You're the guy who tossed our ball back"
Axel chuckled and gave him a thumbs up "Heck yeah I was"
"Who is he Ms. Jeanne?" A girl from the front row with a pigtail hair style asked "Is he your boyfriend?"
"He most certainly is not" Jeanne's cheeks were tinted pink "He's a friend I met recently who helped out my dad with some bandits, his name is Axel".
The kids all let out an 'Oooo' in wonder "Are you one of those adventure guys?"
Axel shrugged "Kind of" he pointed a thumb at the bag on his back "Had to grab some metal from this old mine. Nasty little buggers in there tried to kill me"
"Was there a monster in there?" another little girl asked.
"Oh yeah there was" Axel crossed his arms "They were these four armed creatures that were everywhere! Hundreds of them!" Axel did a dramatic voice for more effect. Axel then pointed to his clothes "Scratched up all my clothes though" he pouted.
"What was the metal?" a little boy asked.
Axel looked to Jeanne "Can I show em?"
Jeanne nodded "Sure, I guess them learning about the kinds of metal out in the world is good"
Axel then swung one of the bags off his shoulder and placed it on the ground with a loud thud. He crouched down, opened the bag and pulled out the pitch black ore that practically absorbed the light. The whole class stared at it oddly "It has a few different names, but my Dwarf friend said it was normally called ischrós ore. Any of you heard of adamantine before?"
A kid put his hand up and Axel pointed to him "Isn't it like, super strong?"
"You're not wrong" Axel responded "Adamantine is probably the most expensive and arguably the strongest metal in the world. This stuff here is one of the contenders but it takes a true master smith to even try and forge it. Stuff weighs a lot too".
"It don't look like it" a boy in the back said.
Axel just smirked "Come on up then, see if you can lift it" Axel then placed the ore on the floor and waited for the kid to come up. The kid was about twelve and was slightly bigger than the rest of the others, he was wearing brown pants and a white shirt.
He sauntered over as the class cheered him on, when the kid bent down to pick up the ore, he adjusted himself and began to lift. His face was incredibly red as he strained to even move the thing an inch off the ground.
Eventually he dropped it onto the floor and was panting pretty hard "Ain't so easy huh?" Axel smirked before picking it up with one hand and putting it back in the bag. "I got about twelve of these bad boys in this bag alone".
All of the kids seemed stunned, but before they could ask anything else "That's enough for now, we still have some other things to cover before Mrs. Dean comes back" Jeanne spoke and the kids let out an 'aww' in response. She turned to Axel "Mrs. Dean should be back soon. Why don't you take a seat in the corner next to the podium and I'll show you around?"
Axel nodded and went to sit in the corner as she went on with a history lesson. It was something about the first settlers of the land but Axel didn't pay that much attention to it.
A solid twenty minutes passed before an older looking woman entered the church. She spoke to Jeanne for a minute and was revealed to be Mrs. Dean to Axel. They only spoke briefly and Jeanne told them what Axel said to them and what she had covered so far. She seemed like a nice lady and soon enough, Axel and Jeanne said bye to the kids before they both left the church.
Jeanne and Axel soon found themselves at the edge of the church and looking into the town "You said you needed to sell some stuff right?" Jeanne asked.
"Yeah I was hoping I could get some money to buy new clothes and maybe something to eat afterwards"
"The general store is just over there" she pointed down the street.
"Awesome" Axel said as the two started walking "You intend to be a teacher?" Axel started a conversation.
"I don't know" she thought for a moment "I know I don't want to be a farmer forever"
"Ever thought of just traveling around? See new things and decide what you want?"
She was in thought for a good minute before answering "I guess that would be nice, but I'm not sure if I can just up and leave".
"Don't have to do it now" Axel started "You seem pretty young so you still have some time to decide. I'm guessing you're in your twenty's?"
She gave a small smirk "You know it's not nice to ask a woman her age"
Axel nervously chuckled "I'm just curious"
She laughed a bit before answering "I'll be turning twenty this year"
"Huh"
"What?"
"Thought you were closer to my age"
"How old are you?"
"Twenty Five"
"You thought I was twenty five? Don't know if that's an insult or a compliment"
"No no no, I thought you were maybe twenty two or something" Jeanne more or less huffed and crossed her arms "Awe come on don't be like that".
She gave a small smile before pointing out the general store "The store is run by Mr. Whitfield" she said while walking up to it "His wife is a little…"
"Bitchy?"
She almost choked at the response "No. she just likes to think she's better"
"Ahh"
The door to the shop opened with a little jingle as a small bell was placed over the door "I'll be right there!" a voice said in the distance. The interior of the shop what you'd expect, wooden floors, shelves lining the walls containing different ingredients, stoves, furniture and many other things were placed around. "Sorry about that" a man appeared from a storeroom "Them boxes can be heavy" the man was probably in his mid to late fifty's and had graying hair which was once all black, had an average build and was wearing a red vest with a white shirt underneath, black pants, black shoes and he had a thick moustache on his face.
"Hi Mr. Colone" Jeanne spoke up.
"Ah Jeanne! Good to see you" the now named Mr. Colone smiled "I've told you to call me John now didn't I?"
"And I said our names sound too similar" she joked back.
"Fair enough" he looked to Axel "Who's this young fellow?"
"This is Axel, he was looking to trade some things" Jeanne pointed to Axel who gave a small wave.
"Oh really now? What you got?"
Axel approached the counter and placed the bag that had the monster remains in it on the counter "Took down some monster about a week ago and I was wondering if I could sell some of its parts".
"Hmm… let's take a look then" John said as he opened up the back and pulled a few things out. There wasn't too much, just a handful of the monsters red scales, a few of its teeth and even a small gem of sorts. John brought a scale to his eye "I think I've seen one of these before" he then looked at a few of the fangs "If I remember correctly… these should be from a creature known as a Chorís Dráko. A creature that looks similar to a dragon but lacks wings but not quite a wyrm though".
"Neat"
"Indeed" he put the tooth down "Been some time since I saw something like this. Adventurers and such don't usually pass through here".
"Oh I'm not an adventurer" Axel waved off "I wanted something made for me so I went to go find some ore. Just happened to be attacked by one of these things".
"Anyways" the shopkeeper continued "The fangs can be grinded up for medicinal purposes and the scales can be used on some kind of jewellery, the gem as well". He went in to thought for a moment "I can give you a gold piece and fifty silver for the parts. And about five gold for the gem"
"Sounds good to me" Axel said as he shook the man's hand "I was also looking for some clothes…"
"That shouldn't be a problem" John ended the handshake "We got a few things"
.
After Axel did a small amount of clothes shopping, he exited the store with Jeanne. He was now wearing a black muscle shirt, gray pants, black boots and had two small gray wristbands. He got two sets of the same outfit and a couple dry snacks for the road. Axel had some money left so he treated Jeanne and himself to a decent lunch at the restaurant that was across the street. Axel ordered a lot of food and was only left with a gold coin and a few silver. Jeanne was a little amazed by the amount of food Axel was eating but they still had a decent time.
With a full belly Axel had a good stretch just outside the restaurant "Aww yeah that's the stuff" he let out a contempt sigh.
"You really held out when you ate with us"
"Didn't want to eat you guys out of house and home" he scratched the back of his head "Stopping here was a good idea, but I should probably get going".
"So soon?" Jeanne seemed a bit sad.
"Yeah sorry" Axel crossed his arms "Something big is going to be happening soon and I should be there for it"
"Something bad?"
Axel sighed "Yeah, but I'm excited to get it on the action" he pumped his fist "Haven't had a real tough fight in a long time"
"I see"
"Don't worry, I'll be fine" Axel waved off "I'll come visit again sometime and maybe you can give me that full tour".
She nodded "That would be fun"
Axel then started to float off the ground a bit, he gained a few amazed stares from the folks that saw him "Catch you later!" he then ascended a bit higher before blasting off.

.
.
After another few days of uninterrupted travel Axel could see Rimuru's village in the distance "Finally back" Axel mumbled to himself as he approached. 'Only been a little under two weeks, but it's nice to be back. Hopefully no ones left for battle or anything yet' Axel thought as he landed at the front of the village. He was greeted by a few goblins that were happy to see him return safely. He asked a few of them if Kaijin was in his shop and they said that he was. Even though it had only been a little over a week, a plethora of actual buildings were built during this time.
"What about Rimuru? He around here right now?"
"No" a male goblin shook his head "Great Rimuru left to sign a treaty with the Lizardmen I believe"
"They left without me" Axel sighed "When did they leave?"
"They left almost a week ago if I'm not mistaken" a female goblin said.
"Dang, then I gotta hurry" Axel then broke into a jog "Thanks guys!" he waved to the Goblins who waved back.
Axel soon found himself in front of Kaijin's shop, he quickly opened the door "Yo you in here Kaijin! I'm back with the ore!" A couple seconds later, two people emerged from a back room. The first was Kaijin and the other was some really big guy wearing a blue robe of sorts and had two small white horns on his head. "You look familiar… Were you one of the Ogres?"
The man nodded "Indeed I was" he smiled "Glad you recognized me, I am Kurobe"
"Nice to officially meet you" Axel nodded "As much as I'd like to get to know you" he looked to Kaijin "I got the ore and I just heard that Rimuru left for the lizard village".
Kaijin nodded "Yeah they left a few days ago" Kaijin sighed "One of the Dryads of all things requested for Rimuru to take down the Orc Lord".
"The heck is a Dryad?" Axel said as he gave the bag full of ore to Kurobe who stumbled for a second before emptying the bag onto a stone table.
"Basically powerful and immortal guardian spirits of the Treants. They have knowledge of all that goes on in the forest" Kaijin explained.
"They sound strong"
"They are incredibly strong" Kaijin confirmed "They're at the top of the list for the strongest A class monsters".
"Oooo"
"Don't even think about fightin one of em" Kaijin practically cut any thoughts about fighting "They're a peaceful bunch and immortal".
"Yea yea I get you" Axel sighed "How long do you think the weapon will take?"
Kaijin rubbed his chin "Considering I haven't really worked with the stuff and I doubt Kurobe has either… I'd say at least a few weeks at most and a week at the earliest. Not to mention the runes I'll have to implement onto it".
"Aww that'll be way too long"
"That's just how it's going to be" Kaijin crossed his arms "I'd get moving though" Kaijin looked at Axel seriously "The Dryad mentioned you too. Something about the man with the vast potential to assist. She was looking for you as well but you were all the way out in the empires territory".
"Then I guess I better get moving" Axel then gave Kaijin back all the tools before he went to leave the shop "Where about is the lizardfolk village?"
"They live in the marshlands. Just head northeast and you should find Rimuru making his way with Benimaru, Shion, Hakurou, Souei and a few of the Goblin riders. They should only be a few days away but they're travelling on the dire wolves so you should be able to catch up with them in a day or two if you hurry".
"Alright thanks!" Axel then left the shop and took off.
Kaijin watched him fly off and thought to himself 'I was supposed to tell him something else wasn't I? Something about the moon?'
.
.
.
The sun was set and the sky was dark. There were thick clouds covering the sky in different spots. A particularly thick cloud was covering the moon, but Axel was too focused on looking for Rimuru. 'I'm sensing a strong group of energy nearby' Axel thought 'if I'm not mistaken, it should be them'. A few moments of sensing later "There they are!" Axel exclaimed before flying down.
The group was as Kaijin described, Rimuru was with Benimaru, Hakurou, and a purple haired lady who must've been the purple haired Orc. Shion, Axel assumed it was her, looked a fair bit different from the way she looked before. Her hair was more or less the same, but her skin tone was of a light colour and she looked much less feral, at least compared to before. She was wearing what looked like a modern purple business suit, black shoes and a green dress shirt underneath.
Benimaru was wearing a different outfit from before as well. He was wearing a red robe that had a gold armour plate on his right shoulder and what seemed like a traditional ogre head keeping the top of the robe closed. It was tight around his forearms with a long dark red band covering both. The interior was a mix of white and gold, the main outfit underneath being a deeper red, compared to the coat/robe itself.
Hakurou looked exactly the same and Souei was nowhere to be seen, Axel could sense him nearby though.
"Yo!" Axel shouted as he descended next to Rimuru, who was riding Ranga and kept pace with him.
Rimuru turned his head and noticed Axel next to him, Rimuru himself was wearing a blue coat, a white fluffy scarf and black pants "Took you long enough".
"What can I say I was busy" Axel then took a more serious expression "Kaijin already filled me in for the most part. So you're off to the marshlands".
Rimuru nodded "Yea. We're on our way there to sign a treaty so that we can work together to take down the Orc Lord".
"Alright!" Axel had a large grin "Can't wait"
"So Kaijin told you everything"
"Yea" Axel nodded "Told me briefly about some Dryad too"
"And you're sure you're up for this?"
"Of course! Got you and the others to watch my back. And I get to really cut loose on someone strong!" Axel then looked back to the group who were currently watching him talk with Rimuru "Imma go say hi". Axel then reduced his speed and put himself to the right of Shion "Nice to meet the new you" he extended a hand.
Shion took the hand and shook it "Likewise"
"Sorry for ramming you into the dirt and knocking you out before" he scratched the back of his head "Let's have a sparring match after this stuff is over".
She smirked "I'd gladly fight you again" she smiled.
The little moment was broken by Rimuru calling Axel over "Hey Axel! Come here for a sec" Axel waved to Shion and flew back up to Rimuru "Souei just told me that a group of lizards up ahead have been attacked. Think you can fly ahead and check it out? Provide some backup".
Axel nodded with a savage grin "I'll take em out" he said before blasting off at a higher speed. Within a few seconds, Axel had arrived to the spot Rimuru spoke of. There was currently a female lizard that was engaging in combat with an Orc and a whole group of about twenty other Orcs watched.
The lizard was wielding a spear and was wearing a set of leather armour that was overtop a set of black clothing. She also had deep red gloves on her hands, green skin with green eyes, pointy ears and a mop of brown/purple hair on her head.
Currently she was fighting an Orc who wielded two swords and was wearing a black shirt, brown pants and had the same brownish skin of his brethren. All the other Orcs, more or less, looked the same, but were in full sets of finely crafted armour and were wielding an assortment of weapons. Some wielded large axes, some were using wooden clubs and a few were wielding swords.
It was a one sided battle and the Lizard women was on the losing end. Just as Axel was about to land, the Lizard woman received a nasty gash on her side and was sent tumbling to the ground. Not wanting to waste time, Axel flew in before the Orc could land the finishing blow. Axel's foot met the Orcs cheek and sent it flying into a tree a few meters away.
With a light thud, Axel landed on the ground and turned his neck slightly to look at the other Orcs before doing a 'bring it' motion with his right hand. One of the twenty Orcs took the challenge and rushed to meet Axel head on. An Axe was lifted above its head and was brought down with the intent to kill. Axel easily leaned to the left and the Axe missed him by a mere inch. Quick to recover, the Orc swung again in an attempt to cleave Axel in half. Axel ducked and avoided the blade with the utmost ease, Axel then threw a hard elbow into the Orcs armoured stomach. The metal folded as if it was cardboard and the Orc spit up a large amount of blood and dropped to his knees before hitting the floor.
All of the Orcs were surprised at the display but they all rushed Axel at once 'Only nineteen left. The leader there is still alive though so make that twenty'.
One Orc attempted to smash Axel's skull with a thick wooden club, but with a reinforced arm, the club shattered on impact as Axel guarded his head. A kick was delivered to the Orcs knee in order for it to drop down. Axel then spin kicked the Orc and caved in its head before any other Orc could attack. Axel didn't have time to waste so he bowed his head while jumping at the same time in order to dodge an attack aimed at his head and legs. With two Orcs beside him left unguarded, Axel charged two Ki blasts into his hands and blasted the two Orcs away. Three Orcs were now in front of Axel swinging there weapons so he started to do a bunch of flips moving back in order to dodge the attacks.
An axe came for his right shoulder, a sword thrust to his gut and another axe aimed for his left shoulder. 'Let's test this out' Axel smirked as his body was enveloped in the Ki barrier he had been training for the past few days. As the flame like aura lined Axel's body, the weapons made contact and all of them shattered. The Orcs were stunned "Still gotta work on my control" he rotated his shoulders as the aura faded "But it sure as hell works".
Axel bent his knees and cracked the ground as he shot like a bullet into the Orc that was wielding the sword. The Orcs body flew at incredibly high speeds into the forest. Axel then leg swept the Orc to his right and punched the Orc to his left before axe kicking the Orc that was on the ground. More Orcs continued to rush, so Axel continued to dodge and weave amongst their ranks while practically throwing Ki blast after Ki blast. It got to the point where only a handful of Orcs were still alive, but before Axel could finish them off, a blue blur suddenly appeared in front of the remaining Orcs and slit their throats.
It was almost as if a speedster ran through them and took them out "Took you long enough to join in" Axel smirked.
Souei then shimmered into existence in front of him "You seemed to have it handled but were taking too long" he said smoothly. His outfit was more akin to a traditional ninja now, a white scarf and belt were on his blue shirt and pants and gray mesh armguards were on his forearms. Two swords were attached to his back and a white circle was on the front of his outfit.
"I like to have fun where I can" Axel then made a finger gun and blasted seeming behind himself at random. The small beam collided with the Orc leader who tried to 'sneak' up on Axel. Their conversation was cut short by the female lizard who coughed up a good amount of blood. Her wound seemed to be fatal "Should probably deal with that" Axel mumbled before the two knelt down next to her.
Souei tried to lift her up a bit as she tried to stifle a shout of pain "She won't last long" Souei started "Loosing too much blood".
Not even a second later, Rimuru and the rest of the travelling party came into view from down the road. All the riders dismounted "Huh? It's already over?" Gobta walked up next to the Ogres, Axel didn't really notice him before, but he was wearing some thick padded brown armour. "They could've left some for us" he pouted a bit.
They noticed Axel and Souei rather quickly, Rimuru was the first to approach "She's in tough shape" Axel started "Bleeding out too fast".
"Don't worry I got it" Rimuru came over and slowly tried to have the lizard drink the potion. The lizard's eyes were shut tight and she seemed rather weak, but she almost tried to resist "Don't worry, it's a healing potion" Rimuru tried to ease her worries.
She was soon covered by a green glow as her injuries faded away. Her eyes shot open before she sat up and was no longer supported by Souei "I thought I was going to die…" she spoke in awe and confusion "It was fatal…"
"Stuff is pretty rad right?" Axel smirked from her right as he was still knelt down.
"R-rad?" she questioned while looking around "Who are you people?"
"My name is Axel"
"I'm Rimuru Tempest"
Her eyes widened before she all but slammed her head on the ground in a bow on the ground "Please! I must ask a favour!"
"Damn, already prostrating" Axel mumbled before he was silenced by a small stare from Rimuru.
"Please save my people! My father, the chief and my brother Gabiru!"
"Gabiru is your brother?" Rimuru questioned.
She nodded before lowering her head again "My brother led a rebellion against my father and imprisoned him".
"Now why would your brother go and do that?" Axel questioned while finally standing up "He join the Orcs or something?"
"No!" she denied "He'd never do that! He wanted to repel the Orcs himself since the chieftain wouldn't act right away. I managed to escape when there was a lapse in the guard's attention, but if nothing is done, my people will be killed!" Her voice then became more crestfallen "I know we promised to wait and this is selfish of me, please help… please".
Shion was the one that answered surprisingly "Well said" she approached and took a knee in front of her "To recognize our leader and his greatness, shows that you truly have potential" she beamed.
Axel stood next to Rimuru and leaned in "Can't help but think this is about something else" he whispered.
Rimuru sighed and tried to interfere but before he could get a word out "Come now" Shion spoke while helping the lizard up. "I'm certain that your people will be saved, just as you asked and hoped!"
The lizard started to thank Shion when Axel leaned in again "And now their making decisions for you" Axel whispered to Rimuru again.
"I know" Rimuru deadpanned a bit "I mean… I would've said yes either way…"
"But she just accepted without hesitation?"
"Yeah" Rimuru put his hands on his hips "She's definitely fitting into her role as my secretary".
"The outfit was a dead giveaway but really? Got a fetish for that or something?"
"Quiet you" Rimuru looked at Axel before addressing everyone "We'll be fighting the Orc Lord either way. So, you said you're the chief's daughter?"
"Y-yes sir!" she knelt down again "I am at your command".
"Then you'll have to be the one to act on this as a representative" Rimuru sighed "Do you object to forging an alliance right here and now?"
She shook her head "No, not at all"
"Then it's settled" Rimuru smiled "Our alliance is now complete"
"Thank you!" the lizard shouted in gratitude.
"Souei"
"Yes great Rimuru"
"You can use spatial movement to get to the chieftain?"
"Easily"
"I'm ordering you to rescue the Lizardmen chieftain"
"Affirmative" were Souei's last words before he shimmered away.
Rimuru then looked to Axel "We can make our way to the battlefield using the skill shadow movement" he thumbed over to the dire wolves. "Think you can fly ahead and we'll meet you there?"
Axel nodded "While I don't know how fast this shadow movement is. I can probably get there before you guys if I go at full speed".
"Good" Rimuru nodded "Head over there now and see if you can hold them off until we get there"
"No problem" Axel smirked before he blasted off.

We now find ourselves in a wide open area surrounded by multiple spots of water and mud. This area would've been barren, but two groups of people stood. Well… more like one group had the other completely outnumbered and surrounded.
A large circle of Orcs were currently surrounding a smaller group of Lizardmen. All of the Orcs were outfitted in the same full plate armour as was seen before. The Lizardmen wore varying sets of leather, metal and padded armour as they formed a tight circle and pointed their spears at the Orcs. Even a few Goblins were among the Lizards, but they were all but cowering in the center of the group as the Lizards were trying to protect them.
"Gah!" a voice shouted out as a Lizardmen hit the ground hard.
"Gabiru!" shouted one of the many Lizards.
"Stay back!" this Gabiru shouted out. Gabiru, as this lizard that was just sent flying was no named, looked similar to his brethren. He wasn't very muscular, just like the others, his 'skin' was a darker green and his front/under his arms and such, were a white/gray colour. He wore a leather breastplate, leather shoulders, a blue cape that ended at his mid back, a light green shirt with red stripes, a blue waist cloth and light brown pants. He also had two silver circlets on his wrist, a silver belt of sorts and a fluffy white scarf like piece around his neck that was likely attached to the armour. He wore no shoes, exposing his clawed feet and he had a decent amount of black hair on his head that went to the edge of his neck.
Gabiru had just been sent back from an attack by a very imposing Orc. This Orc was similar to the rest, but he was almost double their size and he wore pitch black armour while wielding a large hand axe and a shield.
"A pitiful display" the Orc huffed at Gabiru.
Gabiru growled as he slowly stood and picked up his weapon, which was a large silver trident. "I'm still not finished" he managed to speak out "I still have to save all of them!" he was referring to the many that stood behind him.
"G-Gabiru" mumbled a few of the Lizards.
"Then show me what you have!" the Orc shouted.
Gabiru didn't verbally respond, he just rushed the Orc at full speed. He went for a thrust of the trident, but it was easily blocked by the Orcs shield. A mighty swing from the Orcs axe was dodged by Gabiru as he hopped over it and tried a downwards slash on his opponent.
A simple deflection was made as Gabiru's attack was blocked by the shield. Gabiru was sent back, but he recovered mid-air and thrust the trident forward "Vortex Crash!" he shouted as water swirled around the trident and tried to smash into the Orc.
"What makes you think this will work again!" the Orc shouted as he thrust his axe forward with a burst of wind following it. The two attacks, presumably, crashed into each other a second time. The two attacks clashed and were cancelled out after a brief struggle was caused. When the attacks died down, Gabiru was out of the Orcs sight "Nice try" the Orcs voice bellowed as he was surrounded in a deep sinister red aura. Three serpent like heads that were demonic in nature, burst out of the aura and quickly darted to his left. Its mouths tried to chomp down on Gabiru who attempted a sneak attack.
Gabiru evaded two of the heads and barely managed to deflect the third. While the attacks were embedded in the ground, he rushed the Orc once more. The Orc recalled the tendrils and sent them lashing out at Gabiru once more.
"AHHHH!" Gabiru let out a war cry as he used all of his dexterity to weave through and even slash away the attacks. He tried to slash at the Orc once again but it simply bounced off the shield.
Raising his axe high, the Orc brought it down in an attempt to turn Gabiru into paste. Gabiru managed to evade the attack and he jumped high into the air above the Orc. The Orc was surprised but managed to raise his shield in time as Gabiru descended from the air at high speeds.
Trident met shield as a loud clang reverberated throughout the battle field and it was accompanied by a small shockwave that sent water flying everywhere. A quick push of the Orcs shield, and Gabiru was disengaged. Gabiru tried to swing at the Orc but it was deflected by the axe and Gabiru was left wide open.
Time seemed to slow down as the axe was about to slash Gabiru in half 'Is this the end?' Gabiru thought to himself. 'After all this? I'm pathetic. I don't deserve any of the respect from my friends'. His eyes glanced over towards the group of Lizardmen, his gaze was directed at three individuals. A lizard with a brownish green skin and was wearing a pointed helmet with a leather breastplate and a white outfit. Another Lizard, but with blue skin and a blue hood on his head and finally a light green skinned lizard who was also wearing a helmet but with blue clothing and similar armour.
'I really let you guys down' he closed his eyes 'I'm sorry' were his thoughts as the axe continued to move and time almost seemed to resume.
"GABIRU!" all of the Lizards shouted.
"Not on my watch!" a voice was heard as a blur crashed in to the Orc lord and sent them both trailing through the mud.
Gabiru hit the ground and opened his eyes in surprise "B-but who?" he managed to get out before his three friends rushed to his side.
"Sir Gabiru!" the three shouted.
"Y-you guys" he mumbled out "I'm sorry I failed"
All four of them shared an emotional moment together "You have nothing to be ashamed off" the blue skinned lizard spoke. "You were amazing! You did all you could and tried your best to save all of us. That's more than any of us could've asked for".
"That's right!" the other two agreed.
Their moment was broken by the sounds of fighting. Gabiru and his friends looked to where the Orc was and saw something amazing.
"One guy?" Gabiru muttered as he stared at a spikey haired man wearing a muscle shirt, who was absolutely decimating the Orc. "How is he so strong? That Orc General is super powerful!"
Gabiru continued to watch as this man dodged and weaved through all of the Orc General's attacks. If an axe swipe was made, the man dodged, if a shield bash was attempted, it would be met with a punch that resounded throughout the battle field. Even the tendrils that it could shoot out were deflected by his bare hands!
"Hrg!" the Orc General grunted as another blow was barely blocked by his shield. 'This human…' the General thought as he was forced to slide back a few feet 'Who is he?'. A smirk was on the person's face as he assumed a boxing stance and was hopping before he lowered himself into a stance and smirked at the General. "Grrr" he growled "Whoa are you!" the general shouted out loud.
"Heh" he huffed "Axel" without notice, Axel burst forwards and placed his hands on the Orcs stomach. "And I'm the guy that's gonna kick your ass" his hands started to glow as a large blast exploded from his hands and completely consumed the Orc General. There was a large shockwave and it sent a few of the by standing Orcs away and a few of Gabiru's men had to dig their spears into the ground.
No one received any rest as another explosion rang out.
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
Multiple explosions rocked the land as domes of fire seemed to be spreading throughout the battlefield and were consuming hundreds if not thousands of Orcs by the second.
Gabiru barely managed to stand between the lapses of explosions "What is going on!?"
"Your reinforcements have arrived" A deep voice was heard beside him.
"Huh?" Gabiru looked to his left and saw the massive wolf known as Ranga "How did you guys get here?"
"With shadow movement" he said nonchalantly as he looked to where a small cloud of smoke was still present.
After a few seconds, the smoke died down and revealed Axel with his hands still outstretched. Except there was no longer a massive Orc in front of him "Man is that all they got?" Axel chuckled "I bet even Ranga could single handily kick your asses".
All of the Orcs were shocked at the display but they still stood strong "Don't get cocky!" shouted an Orc.
"Hmph" Axel huffed and crossed his arms "As much as I wanna fight you guys" he looked dead ahead "I can sense your Lord and I fully intend to kick his ass" Axel then put his fist into his other with a smack. Before tilting his head back to Ranga who was now accompanied by Gobta and a few of the other riders. "You guys take them on. I'm going for the big guy" Ranga grunted but agreed reluctantly before Axel burst forward and literally started to barrel through the Orcs. Every Orc in his way was either pushed aside, or was given a nasty blow before falling all the same.
"These Orcs will regret ever doubting ours and Great Rimuru's strength!" Ranga shouted out before he started to growl intensely. A deep red aura soon surrounded Ranga as the clouds above started to darken even more than they already were. All of the clouds started to swirl together and form tornadoes as they crashed into the ground. Ranga let out a howl that could be heard for miles as the tornadoes grew in size and numbers. Similar to the explosions of purple fire, hundreds Orcs fell each second.
Ranga took a breath before howling again as multiple bolts of lightning struck the battle field. Only adding to his already insanely high kill count. But Ranga wasn't entirely done just yet.
"I-is he getting bigger" one of Gabiru's friends said aloud as Ranga seemed to grow even larger with each passing second.
Suddenly a second horn sprouted from Ranga's head as he grew almost three times larger!
Ranga levelled a menacing glare at any of the Orcs that were still standing before letting out a smirk and rushing forwards.
.
.
.
Axel marvelled at the site of all the tornadoes and bolts of lightning in the distance "Man" Axel huffed as he socked another Orc in his way. "Makes me feel a little inadequate" he frowned as he flipped over another Orc and threw a Ki blast into the back of its head. "Guess taking down the big bad would make it better" he chuckled to himself before placing his right hand beside him while charging up a Ki wave. After a quick thrust of his hand, an energy wave barrelled through and obliterated any Orc that touched it. The wave continued on for a while before it fizzled out and carved about a hundred meters of distance.
'Could just fly over these assholes' Axel thought as he covered the distance in a few seconds and started to engage with more of the Orcs 'But that wouldn't be fun would it'. All of this punching and kicking continued for minutes straight as dozens of Orcs fell with each punch, kick and Ki attack.
It was certainly fun for Axel, considering his body was full of adrenalin and there was something satisfying with caving in an Orcs skull as he continued forward. But he wanted a real challenge, a real battle, not just some fodder Orcs.
Oddly enough, after this train of thought, he heard a voice in his head 'Your heading right for the Orc Lord' the voice of Rimuru spoke in his mind.
"Heh. So you got telepathy now too?" Axel roundhouse kicked another Orc before flipping into the air and shooting a small barrage of blasts.
'Don't worry about that' Rimuru started 'I connected myself with everyone before all this started'
"Didn't even notice" Axel threw a punch and deflected an axe strike "Where's everyone else at?"
'Benimaru and the others are almost to the Orc Lord and I'm currently watching him for any movements'
"What's he doing?" Axel responded while firing another wave.
'Just standing there'
"Better not keep him waiting then" Axel smirked before jumping and floating in the air. He looked ahead and could just barely make out the form of the Orc Lord in the distance. He was even taller than the general but there were a few differences. He had a gut similar to the other Orcs, but there were some weird lines where his ribs should be, almost as if he were skinny but he certainly wasn't, three red tear like marks were on his face under both eyes, he had literal horns and wore next to no clothes other than a cape and a waistcloth. He was wielding a large cleaver that was almost as big as Axel himself and bulging arms to wield it. Two other Orcs were beside him, one with more orange skin that wasn't wearing armour and just wore simple clothing with a cape of sorts. And another Orc who was in armour, similar to the other general.
He made eye contact with the Orc before he gathered a large amount of Ki into a large orb above his head that easily eclipsed his body and threw it at the ground causing an explosion similar to those large blasts of purple fire.
With all of the surrounding Orcs around Axel gone, he made a beeline for the Orc Lord. Axel raised his hand and prepared himself to superman punch the Orc, but a red blur of energy zipped past him and landed a few meters in front of the Orc Lord.
Axel landed on the ground as the dust settled only to reveal a small figure, easily as small as Rimuru himself. This figure wore a gold plague doctor mask and a fancy white suit that had a white tail coat. A fancy white hat was on top of his head as a few tuffs of curled brown hair poked out from underneath. It levelled a stare at Axel and he could see that he was wearing some kind of glasses or that the mask had some kind of gems in them. The only visible skin was his gray ears that were jutted out horizontally, almost like an elf.
"What's the big idea you dumb brute!" he brandished a red cane with a gold handle and pointed it at Axel "You dare ruin the great Gelmud's plans!?"
Axel just stared at him before tilting his head "The great what now?"
"Grrr! You buffoon!"
"Wait hold on!" Axel put his hand out "I think I remember now" he put his hand to his chin before snapping his fingers "You were the guy that tried to name Benimaru and he declined your sorry ass"
Almost like a little kid, he growled and shouted out "Inconsequential! A new Demon Lord was to be born and do my bidding, but you all had to interfere!"
Rimuru chose this moment to hover closer and was a few feet away from Axel "A Demon Lord?" he questioned while hovering a few feet off the ground.
"Yes!" the Majin shouted "So many seeds planted, so many names given! All to create the ultimate pawn!" he spread his arms wide as if it were a theatrical display.
"So that's why…" the deep voice of Hakurou sounded from behind Axel.
"You showed up in our village" the other three Ogres, Souei who had appeared almost out of nowhere, Shion and Benimaru all said aloud.
"Heh heh heh heh" the masked Majin chuckled before laughing to his hearts contempt "Now all of you will be useful to me!" he shouted while twirling. "Consider it an honour that your deaths will provide me all of what I need" he turned to the Orc Lord "Now kill them!"
Axel huffed "Can't even fight your own battles? You need someone else to carry your ass to victory?"
Gelmud ignored Axel and continued to face the Orc who had yet to move "What are you waiting for!? Kill them! It's what he and I want!" He did not receive a response from the Orc, only a few breaths and a grunt. Gelmud clicked his teeth before turning back around "I shouldn't be interfering in your evolution to an Orc disaster, but I have no choice".
'Oh for crying out loud' Axel thought as the Majin charged a pink energy ball into his palm. 'I've had enough of this prick' before the Majin could fully charge his attack, Axel threw out a quick Ki blast that hit the Majin square in the chest and managed to make him stumble and send his pink energy ball into the air.
A shocked gasp escaped the Majin before it turned to rage "You foul creature!" he grit his teeth "I'll show you what it means to mess with a powerful Majin!" he raised his hand into the air as a large pink ball began to form within his hand "Deathmarch Dan-gah!"
Gelmud was cut off as he now found himself folded over a fist, Axel's fist to be more precise "You just don't shut up"
"H-how dare you" Gelmud wheezed "Y-you'll regre-" an uppercut flung his head back "WOULD YOU ST-" he was cut off again as a fist was firmly planted in his face. "Ah! Right in the nose! I'll kill-"
*thwack*
Another fist hit his face
Axel assumed a boxing stance as he continued to hit Gelmud with multiple jabs that sent his head whipping in every direction. With a final uppercut, the Majin was sent up in the air by a few feet and landed with a heavy thud.
Slowly but surely he stood "Okay, I get it! I'll let you join me! I'll"
*thwack*
"Will you stop hitting my face!"
*Thwack*
Gelmud was once again thrown on his ass "Now why don't you tell all of us who this he is and we can get the real party started".
Gelmud started to thrash on the ground in a childlike fit before hopping onto his feet and running to the Orc Lord "You damn pig! Help me!"
Gelmud was met with a few seconds of silence before the Orc answered "I'm hungry"
"I second that" Axel spoke up.
"You shut up!" the Majin pointed to Axel who only cracked his knuckles in response "Damn it! Do something you stupid, insufferable pi- I mean… Geld!"
Something seemed to click within the Orcs head before he began to move, each step shaking the ground. Axel, Rimuru and the Ogres tensed themselves and prepared for the impending battle.
"Finally moving now eh? Freaking scumbag" the Majin muttered before turning around with his arms wide "Prepare to experience this beast's strength! Make them regret ever crossing me! Especially that stupid spikey haired fu-"
All was silent as Gelmud was literally cut off, as in the Orc Lord raised his cleaver and chopped the Majin's head clean off! What was even more gruesome was the fact that the Orc Lord lowered himself and began to eat the corpse!
At this point, everyone was on edge and grimacing at the sight, even Ranga had just walked in on this and his massive frame rumbled as he growled.
Deep purple wisps of aura soon started to spread throughout the Orc Lords body and slowly consume him. "His power just increased by a lot!" Axel said aloud.
"Yeah I think we noticed!" Rimuru spoke as a gust of wind quickly spread throughout the area.
The purple aura subsided after the gust of wind and revealed the new form of the Orc Lord. He grew even taller to the point he eclipsed the two other Orcs by his side. His horns grew in size and became more jagged, his gut was now gone as his body seemed to beef up in terms of muscle. Essentially, everything on this Orc had nearly doubled in size, even his teeth!
"AHHHH! I am the Orc Disaster!" he shouted for all to hear "I am the one who will devour all in this world! My name is Geld… Geld the Demon Lord.

I know I'm leaving this on a cliff-hanger, but next chapter will be the big battle! I have few ideas on how I want the fight to go so stay tuned for something epic… Hopefully. The early parts of this chapter may seemed rushed and they kind of are, but I wanted to get to this point and start writing the battle. Please tell me what you all think and what you hope to see!
