I, Shadow, woke up on a hospital bed. I get up from it with my left shoulder hurting. I pay no attention to the pain and leave the room, when a nurse comes terrified to force me back to the bed. "Never," I tell her, but she becomes pushy. "I am the ultimate lifeform, from GUN, I cannot remain here." The moment, she listened to GUN she stopped opposing me.
When I am leaving, I see Amy Rose. She is holding my Chaos Emerald and my phone.
"Girl! What are you doing here?" I ask her.
"Are you discharged? That's fast," she says back.
She gives me my stuff.
"Have you called Sonic?" I ask her.
"Quite a few times, he still has not answered. I worry for him, but he is Sonic, right?"
"Let's look for a place for you to wait for him," I tell her.
We leave the hospital. We find GUN forces here.
"I see you have recovered," mentions a guardian walking to us.
"What is happening?" I ask him.
"Rebels have come from another city to support the environmentalists. They are using weapons and are quite dangerous. They have retaken the zone for deforestation," he informs me.
"What about Sonic and Dr Robotnik?" I continue.
"Sonic has moved to other sides of the city, toward the lake. I hope he is after the Eggman, because we are trusting that. We must keep order in the city," he explains.
"I am going to the deforested zone then, I am taking it back for the city," I tell him.
"I want to go too," Amy tells me.
"It is too difficult for you, stay here within GUN's safety area" I reprimand her.
"You will need me when they shoot you again!" She says while putting her hands on her hips.
I concede, but only because having a plan B sounds a good idea.
"Thanks!" she says excited. She changes her tone, "let's be careful, the guys who attacked you are still out there," she warns me.
"HOW COME?" I react surprised.
She then gestures disappointment.
We exit GUN's secured perimeter, looking for enemies. We did not find anyone looking for trouble and we move on.
Around 10 minutes later, we listened to the sound of the blades of a helicopter getting stronger. "I hope it's the news," Amy mentions. Behind us, some of these guys start showing up. They come driving. They have not enough speed to keep up with me, but I am not sure about Amy.
"It does not require more than a blast," I tell her.
"Could we please not hurt them!?" She dares to ask.
"Don't be cringey," I reply.
"I don't want another Cream, growing with no dad," she says sad.
An acute pain starts in my chest. I yell "WHAT IS THIS PAIN?" while grabbing my chest.
We start moving, trying to avoid the opposition the best we can. We finally reach the entrance to the area that Sonic destroyed. Unfortunately, we have another party meddling, the robots of doctor Robotnik.
"Lend me your phone," Amy tells me. I do so and she start calling Sonic but to no avail.
"I am going to login to an app with my account, that way Sonic can know where we are," Amy says.
"Whatever," I reply.
We enter the place and punch all we find moving. "Everything gets easier with Chaos Control," I tell Amy.
Most rebels gather around some stairs that lead underground. We teleport behind the opposition line and start running. We soon realize, they have been excavating out a pink ore.
"Amy, grab an ore," I order her, while dealing with the few miners they have.
The people following us from the surface, reach our location; they surround Amy, when out of nowhere, she just disappears.
"TRAITOR!" I yell.
They immediately turn to me to lynch me. I give them the finger and blast them to the other life. I have lost the chance of a good ending with Amy; It's OK, she'd probably have chosen Sonic.
She reappears in front of me, angry.
"What trick is that!?" I ask.
"Why should I know?" she answers.
We come to the surface, only to face the robots of the doctor. Amy tries her invisible trick again; she disappears but the robots discover her easily. I start blasting them, while Amy's gives up on her tricks and uses her hammer. When we finally end, I call GUN and then the police, mission accomplished.
