Hello, my friends, I am back with another chapter of The Balancers of Mortals.

Oh my blueberry and muffins. It's been almost a year since my last update. Damn, sorry about that. Anyways I glad you guys liked the last chapter. Heh, some of you weren't expecting the sheer brutality Godzilla's brought upon the raging Faunus. Well, I'm happy to say that there's going to be a lot more of that in later chapters.

Just an update, had an issue back in November where writers would update their stories but the new chapter would not show when you searched it. Some people are holding guesses that the admins might abandon the website, hopefully, they won't, but just encase that is true I'm going to be making an AO3 account and maybe a Wattpad, I'll be uploading there as a backup just in case something like this happens or ya know, the abandonment of the site.

Well with all that being said let's get this chapter started.

Disclaimer: I do not own anything of Godzilla and RWBY so please support the official release.

A Year Before…

Remnant a beautiful planet teeming with all sorts of life. From planets to insects, from animals to people. But while there is beauty and life on the planet, there is also death. Southeast of the Kingdom of Vale lies the remnants of a city, a city that was meant to bring hope to the people of Remnant that life and security were possible outside the Kingdoms. But that hope was lost when the Grimm attacked, overtaking the city and claiming the lives of thousands. Now only Grimm prowled the city streets attracted to the frighten and sadden emotions left behind by the deceased.

Walking through the ruins of the Mountain Glenn was a woman in her mid-30s accompanied by four teenagers, three humans, and one Faunus. "Professor Glynda, may I ask why we're in Mountain Glenn?" A Rabbit Faunus girl inquired.

"There have been reports of more Grimm entering the city as well as something…singing." Glynda answered.

"Singing? As in like…singing, singing?" This time a girl with sunglasses spoke.

"Not in the way you might be thinking Ms. Adel. From what has been reported this singing sounds like it's coming from an animal. But the sounds its producing isn't like any animal ever heard of." The Professor further explained.

The tallest of the group gave his thoughts. "If it's not a person, and it's not an animal, then that means it could be…"

"A new Grimm." The dark-skinned teen finished. The four teens looked between one another. While the possibility of fighting a new Grimm is exciting, they were also a bit nervous. Fighting something unknown does tend to bring more danger.

Continuing to walk through the ruins Glynda gazed at her scroll, a photo of each student with her. Coco Adeal, Fox Alistair, Velvet Scarlatina, and Yatsuhashi Daichi. Together they make Team CFVY. Taking a quick glance behind her, Glynda eyed each of them. She had originally planned to go on this mission alone, but her Headmaster persuaded her to take a team with her. Lately, Grimm activity has been very abnormal all around Remnant. Reports of Grimm abandoning territory they held for decades and migrating into new territory. Adding in that some Grimm were becoming more aggressive than usual and some becoming docile. Something out there is causing the change in the Grimm's behavior. Thankfully this change hasn't increased the number of casualties to those traveling and living outside the borders of the Kingdoms.

Glynda was lucky enough that team CFVY was available. Their skills, teamwork, and focus excelled all other teams. They will be a great help if this thing they're looking for turns out to be a new Grimm. Possibly the one causing all the change. But then again, there's a chance they might just run into a new species of animal or nothing at all.

As they were walking Velvet, the rabbit Faunus of the group suddenly halted her steps. Yatsuhashi quickly noticed this and stopped as well. "Velvet, are you alright?" His question grabbing the attention of the others.

No response. Coco approached the rabbit Faunus. "Velvet, hey, anyone in there?" She says, waving her hand in front of her teammate. Glynda noticed Ms. Scarlatina's half-lidded eyes and how her body was slightly swaying

Then a escaped Velvet's mouth, "Beautiful." She said in a mesmerized state. Glynda and the other students all expressed their confusion. "Beautiful? Hey, Velvet, snap out of it." Coco said again this time shaking the Faunus girl.

"What. What's happening?" Velvet answered finally brought back from whatever trance she was in.

"You were standing there like you were hypnotized or something." Fox explained.

"Yea, you alright?" Coco expressed her concern.

"Uh, yea, it's just…it was really beautiful."

"What was?" Yatsuhashi questioned

"The singing." Velvet's answer alarmed the teens and the Professor.

"Singing? What singing? We didn't hear anything." Coco said.

Glynda looked around the area, not spotting anything that could have produced the singing. Looking back to Velvet her eyes landed on her rabbit ears. Only Ms. Scarlatina was able to hear the singing. Is it because of her enhanced Faunus hearing that she was able to? "…Ms. Scarlatina. Do you know in which direction this singing was coming from?"

Velvet nodded her head and pointed to their left. With the direction of the singing now presented to them, Glynda and team CFVY made their way there.

For a couple of minutes, they spotted nothing out of the ordinary just more ruins and a couple of Grimm roaming the streets. Glynda figured that whatever Velvet heard was already long gone. But just as she was about to have the mission called off, the sound of an animal whining caught their attention.

Up ahead underneath a pile of rocks was a wolf. Large amounts of rock trapping the wolf beneath it, Glynda deduced that the rocks must've crushed half its body. It was only a matter of time before it…

"Poor thing." Velvet expressing her sadness.

"We…we could help put it out of its misery." Fox suggested. The others weren't very keen on the idea of killing an animal, but the wolf's cries were hard to listen to. It would be inhumane to just leave it here to slowly die.

As Glynda began to approach the wolf, a new figure walked out from a ruin. A pale woman, with white hair wearing some kind of fuzzy cloak that hid her naked body and…, were those antennas on her head? While her naked appearance surprise her, what surprised her more was her height. This woman was almost as tall as Yatsuhashi an inch or two shorter at the least.

The mysterious woman approached the half-crushed wolf and carefully placed a hand on its head. The wolf seemed to relax from the touch, the woman began to gently pet the dying wolf. Glynda quickly noticed how strange her hand—no her arm looked. It looked like it was an exoskeleton of an insect.

The mystery woman then started to hum a beautiful melody. Velvet's ears stood straight up, "It's her." With the suspect of the mysterious singing now revealed to them, they all watched the woman carefully pet and sing to the wolf. The wolf quietly ceased its whining. Before they knew it the wolf completely stopped moving and the woman ceased her singing.

Glynda noticed tears dripping down the woman's chin.

As they watched the woman continue to shed tears for the dead wolf, Grimm began to emerge from the ruins of the city. Slowly approaching the grieving woman, attracted to her grieving. "Ms. Glynda, the Grimm!" Velvet pointed.

Seeing the many Grimm slowly make their way to the woman, Glynda started planning how they were going to approach this situation. There were a lot of Grimm in front of them and if they were to fight now it would only attract more Grimm and considering their numbers have increased these past couple of days, who knows how many more will appear. While she was coming up with a plan the mysterious woman stood up gaining their attention again. Glynda and team CFVY were about to jump straight into action when a Beowolf pounce at the woman. But they stopped dead in their tracks when the woman extended her arm and caught the Beowolf by the throat. The Beowolf swung its claw at the woman, the woman extended her other arm and grabbed the Beowolf's wrist. Before it could swing its other claw at her, another two arms came from underneath the woman's furry cloak and grabbed the Beowolf's other wrist and plunging her other arm through the Beowolf's chest.

The extra limbs and strength shocked Glynda and team CFVY, but their shock was about to increase when they witnessed the woman rip both of the Beowolf's arms and throat. The woman dropped the Grimm's body to the floor letting it disintegrate. The other Beowolfs howled for the fallen comrade, filled with anger they all charged at the woman. The woman turned to face them.

Glynda's eyes widen when she finally got a good look at her face, her eyes were a beautiful light blue that seemed shined more due to the black sclera of her eyes. The woman watched the Grimm close in on her before finally making her move. With amazing speed and grace, the woman danced through the pack, her arms stabbing into the bodies of the Grimm and slicing their limbs off.

The woman caught the wrist of another Beowolf before using her other free hand from her right side to push up and snap the Beowolf's arm. The Beowolf howled in pain but was immediately silenced when the woman reached out and tore its lower jaw off. Dropping the body, she switched to her next target. A Creep jumped at her behind, as if a sixth warned her of the danger, the woman turned around with raised leg and brought her foot on top of the Creep's head, crushing it. With the same leg, she leaped into the air evading the claws of two other Beowolves.

In the air, she shot out silk at the Grimm below. The silk sticking the Grimm to the ground. Upon landing a Beowolf tackled her to the ground, they rolled across the floor before the woman managed to get on top of the Beowolf, with her claws she pried the mouth open and stabbed the Grimm into its mouth and out the back of its head. A couple of Creeps rushed at her, the others thought the Grimm were going to get her this time. But then a strong gust of wind came from the woman sending her flying back. She flipped herself over a Beowolf, landing behind the creature she rapidly stabbed her sharp limbs into the back of the Grimm's back several times before hoisting the body up and throwing the Grimm into a pair of Creeps.

The woman raised her leg up behind and kicked the chin of another Beowolf. She quickly spun around, shooting out silk to the Grimm's head and ripping it from their body when she pulled back.

Glynda and team CFVY all noticed another pack of Beowolves and Creeps charging at the woman. Thinking there was no better time than now to make themselves known they prepared to join the fight, but again stopped when the woman turned towards the Grimm. Her furry cloak slowly shifted as she hunched herself a bit. What the woman did next took the cake in being the most shocking moment of their lives.

The woman's supposed cloak burst into bright beautiful wings. The action caused a powerful gust of wind all around. Glynda barely had time to hold onto a pole to keep herself from flying, Coco, Velvet, and Fox were lucky enough to hold on to Yatsuhashi who was quick enough to stab his greatsword into the ground.

As the wind died down, they all collected themselves and looked up. Needless to say, they were yet again shocked by what laid before them. The pack of Beowolves and Creep that was previously charging at the woman was no longer in sight, neither were several buildings.

"Holy shit." Coco muttered, not noticing that both her sunglasses and beret were no longer in her possession.

Normally Glynda would scold the young woman for her profane language, but right now she was too in awe to even care. Never has she seen such a display of power before. Her eyes moved from the destruction to the woman who stood there unmoving, like she was making sure she got all the Grimm.

"So…what'd we do now?" Velvet asked.

"I…I don't…" Glynda took a moment to calm herself. She needed to stay levelheaded. Before them was someone a Faunus, a Moth Faunus to be precise, that was able to not only flawlessly take down a pack Grimm but release a gust of wind strong enough to blow another pack out of sight and taking several buildings along with it just by expanding her wings. They could try approaching the woman in a peaceful manner, if they're lucky, she might just respond the same way. But there's always the possibility the woman might turn aggressive if she sees them. That was something she really rather avoid. The last reasonable choice would be to retreat and report what they witnessed to Ozpin. What should she do?

As Professor Goodwitch was contemplating on their next move team CFVY stood by and watch the insect Faunus stand there. Her eyes scanning the debris. Velvet was able to make more features of the woman. Her body looked human enough if you didn't count the multiple arms and abnormally grayish skin. She also noted the orange fluffy fur surrounding her collarbone as well as gray patches of fur down her waist, and some fur going around the middle of her thigh. Continuing down, her legs looked almost human if you didn't count the black exoskeleton-like appearance.

"Pretty cool wings huh." Coco commented. Yatsuhashi agreed. The wings were pattern like, like a butterfly or moth. Comprising of yellow, black, orange, and blue. The most notable feature of her wings was the large like eyes at the top of the wings. Her wings were both intimidating and enchanting.

Velvet must've been staring so long that accidentally slipped and let out a yelp. The sound caught the woman's attention bringing the group in alert.

The woman just stared at them her curious eyes wandering from one person to the other. Glynda felt herself becoming nervous again. Was she looking for a sign that they were a threat? If that's the case, then she needs to play her cards right. She moved her gaze to the student, "Ms. Scarlatina are you alright?"

"Yea, just slipped that's all."

"Good, then we're-."

"Ms. Goodwitch!" Team CFVY cried out.

Glynda felt herself freeze up and slowly shifted her eyes to the woman who was now right in front of her. The woman's eyes stared deeply into Glynda's, her hands coming up to cup her cheeks. Glynda tried to reach for her crop but was unable to move a single muscle, it felt like her whole body was told not to move. She braced herself for the woman's cold touch but was surprised to feel her hands to be warm and gentle. The woman leaned forward and touched foreheads with the professor, her antennas seemed to visibly shake as they continued to touch foreheads. After a moment, the woman pulled away, a warm smile crossed her features.

Glynda didn't know what to think. This smile was so motherly it made her feel…safe and relaxed. Team CFVY stood by and watched the entire scene play out. Unsure what their little exchange meant.

The woman pulling her hands away from the professor's face turned her attention to the four teens. She curiously tilted her head. Approaching them she reached out and placed each of her hands on their cheeks and smiled. The contact felt strange yet very loving, it was almost they were reliving a precious moment in their past. None of them knew what to say.

With the woman away from the professor, Glynda snapped herself from the trance she was in, fixing herself she approached the woman again and cleared her throat. "Excuse me ma'am." The Moth Faunus's attention returning to her. "My name is Glynda Goodwitch, I am a Professor of Beacon Academy." Goodwitch expected the woman to at least introduce herself but nothing came out of her lip. The woman merely stared at her. "…Are you the one who's been singing here in Mount Glenn for the past two weeks?" It was a dumb question to ask since they have already seen that the singing was coming from her. But Glynda asked for the sake of getting a response from her.

"…"

"How long have you been here?"

"…"

"Are you alone or is there someone else with you?"

"…"

Team CFVY watched as their Professor asked her questions, noticing the slight tilts of the woman's head every time she heard Goodwitch speak. "Uh, Professor Goodwitch. I don't think she understands us." Velvet finally pointed out.

Glynda let a sigh escape her lips, pinching the bridge of her nose. Having not responded to her first two questions she had a feeling that this woman was either a mute or did not understand what she was saying. Looking back up, the woman curiously blinked at Glynda. Or maybe both.

"Well, this makes things harder." Glynda muttered. Even if this woman was both mute and unable to understand her, she couldn't just leave her here. Glynda watched as the woman returned to petting and touching the four teens. Each of them unsure how to react to the woman's touch.

This woman with all her notable Moth-like features was an insect Faunus. Insect Faunus was a rare species of Faunus, only a few of them are ever seen in the world. But this the first time she's seen one with some many... features. The way this woman was able to put Velvet in a sort of hypnosis just by singing, was this an ability that an insect Faunus possessed? No, as far as she can remember, insect Faunus possessed no such ability. So, why can she?

After taking some time to think Glynda reached a decision. "Mr. Daichi, do you mind offering Ms—Our friend here your robe?"

"N-no, no I don't." Yatsuhashi replied immediately removing his robe leaving him in a black muscle shirt. Handing the robe to the Moth woman, respectfully keeping his eyes away from roaming her…naked form. Coco smirked at her teammate's flustered face.

The woman looked confusingly between the robe and Yatsuhashi. Glynda sighed, approaching the woman she grabbed the robe and wrapped it around the woman. She managed to cover most of the woman's chest and down to the top of her thighs. Thank the gods for Yatsuhashi's size, otherwise concealing the woman's naked body would've been harder.

With that done Glynda turned to her students. "We're going to head back to Beacon." She announced.

"Are we taking her with us?" Velvet asked.

"Yes, I believe Professor Ozpin will want to know our discovery here." Glynda indicating to the Moth woman.

Glynda called in the pilot that dropped them here to come to pick them up. While they made their way to the area of pick-up, the woman surprisingly had no issue following them when Glynda motioned her to follow.

"So Velvet, have you ever seen an Insect Faunus before? Because I never have." Coco whispered.

The rabbit Faunus nodded her head. "Yes, a couple of times over in Menagerie. But no one like her." Velvet and Coco both spared a glance behind them. The Moth woman seemed to have noticed their stares and smiled at them. Coco awkwardly waved at her while Velvet turned back around with a flushed face.

"She's somewhat strange." Yatsuhashi commented.

"Yea, who doesn't get embarrassed from standing naked in front of a group people." Coco said.

"…She treated us like we were children." Fox quietly added.

"Do you think she has children and we somehow reminded her of them?" Velvet openly asked. Coco shrugged, Yatsuhashi kept his gaze on the ground, and Fox stayed silent. Velvet shifted her gaze to her Professor. "Ms. Goodwitch, what do you think?"

Glynda took a moment before answering. "I… From how she acted when she saw us, I believe we might be the first people she's seen for some time." Glynda remembering how soft and careful the woman's hands were as if she was afraid of hurting her.

Finally arriving at the Bullhead, "Who's she?" The pilot asked as they were all getting in.

"Someone we found in the city. We're taking her to Beacon." Glynda answered.

"Well, is she going to get in?"

Glynda and the others turned back around, standing outside was the woman who curiously stared at the Bullhead. "Maybe she doesn't like getting inside large metal aircraft…?" Coco awkwardly suggested.

Glynda sighed, seems they've run into another problem. But maybe it might not be a big one. The woman did follow them here when she motioned her to follow, maybe she's unsure if she should enter. Hoping that was the reason, Glynda motioned the woman to come in. At first, the woman seemed to hesitate but then she stepped forward, "Hey I don't think her wings are going to able-." The pilot's words were cut short when the woman wrapped her wings around her body, forming that cloak-like appearance she had before. "Never mind." Glynda guided the woman to take a seat next to Velvet.

When the Bullhead lifted it somewhat surprised the mystery woman. Velvet assured her that everything was alright. During the flight, Glynda got to thinking about how this woman arrived in Mount Glenn and how long she's been there. The city was practically inhabitable due to all the Grimm roaming the area, only Huntsmen and Huntress were allowed to enter the city for scouting missions or controlling the Grimm population. Yet this woman not only seemed to live in the city but she also perfectly capable of repealing the Grimm on her own. Glynda grabbed a device stored in the Bullhead called an Aura reader, many pilots have these to check on Huntsmen and students after a mission. After witnessing the woman battle all those Grimm, she was curious as to how the woman's Aura levels were. The woman didn't seem to mind Glynda using the Aura reader on her.

After several seconds the device finished its reading, Glynda's eyes widen at the results. "No, Aura. She has no Aura?!" Alarmed by this the Professor stared at the woman. The mystery woman simply smiled at her.

Who is this woman? How did she come to be? Where did she come from? Hopefully, these questioning will be answered when they arrive at Beacon.

The trip back to Beacon wasn't a long one nor was it a short one, but after a while of flying the Bullhead reached its destination. When they landed Glynda walked out of the aircraft along with team CFVY. The woman peeked her head out the Bullhead and looked at her new surroundings.

"It's okay, there's nothing bad here." Velvet said. The mystery woman seemed to understand Velvet to an extent as she walked out of the Bullhead and proceeded to follow them.

Along the way, the mystery woman curiously stared at everything inside Beacon. Seeming to be in awe at everything she was seeing. Glynda noticed many students muttering to one another when they saw the mystery strange features, some of them stopping to stare at certain exposed areas of the woman. Maybe she should've had the woman stay in the Bullhead until they brought her more suitable clothes. The woman didn't seem to pay any attention to the stares she was receiving, either she didn't notice them, or she didn't care.

After a short walk, they reached the elevator, Glynda and Coco went up first, then Velvet, Fox, Yatsuhashi, and the mystery woman. Again, the Faunus woman seemed to jump when the elevator moved but soon relaxed.

When the elevator doors opened, they were greeted by their headmaster sitting at his desk with Goodwitch standing next to him. "Good afternoon Professor Ozpin." Velvet said.

"Good afternoon to you too Ms. Scarlatina, Mr. Alistair, Mr. Daichi." His eyes moved to the tall woman behind them who was staring curiously up at the large gears turning. "And who might this be?" He asked.

"This here is… well, we don't know Professor." Coco said.

Glynda stepped in when Ozpin gave a questioning look. "She is the source of the singing that has been reported in Mount Glenn. She's also an…"

"Insect Faunus. How Fascinating. If I remember correctly, Insect Faunus is a rare species of Faunus. Are they not." The mystery woman didn't seem to take notice of his presence as her eyes were fixated on the turning gears above.

"They are. But there have never been reports of one possessing features like her." Glynda said.

The headmaster approached the woman gaining her attention. "Hello, my name Professor Ozpin, I am the Headmaster of this academy." The mystery woman tilted her head. When she said nothing, the headmaster looked to his students.

"She can't speak." Coco said.

"Does she understand us?"

"No. Well, we don't exactly know." Fox spoke next.

Ozpin took a moment to think, with his hands he proceeded to talk in sign language. "Do you understand me?" The mystery woman shifted her eyes from his face to his hands. With her own hands, she tried to mimic what he did. She smiled when she thought she had done it the same.

"It was worth a try."

"Professor Ozpin," Glynda's stared, "She's was able to fight off a large pack of Beowolves and Creeps all without an Aura." This caught Ozpin's attention. Team CFVY was also surprised by this having not heard of this during their trip back. "Her speed, strength, and agility were beyond anything I have ever seen someone without an Aura do."

Now that was indeed something rare to hear. Ozpin turned his gaze back to the mystery woman, who was smiling at him. His eyes roamed to each of her distinctive Faunus features up to her eyes. There was something about this woman, something different that separated her from the rest of the Faunus. It wasn't just her unique appearance or her natural abilities Glynda spoke of. There was something else, he just couldn't put his finger on it.

"Ms. Adel would you and your team please escort our guest here to one of the empty faculty rooms. Professor Glynda and I will be further discussing what you all witnessed today."

"Sure thing. This way, uh, miss Faunus…lady." Coco with the help of Velvet and her team they led the woman back to the elevator. The mystery woman gave one last look to Glynda and Ozpin before the doors closed.

"What are you're thoughts about our new guest." Ozpin asked.

"I think… I think she might have some hand in the Grimm's change of behavior, as well as the strange happenings that have been going on around Remnant." Ozpin hm in agreement. He has read and heard a lot about these occurrences, they were indeed strange and very unusual. His friends from the other Kingdoms also presented their concern over these happenings, some suggesting that this is her doing. While there is that possibility, he also thinks it might be something else. From what one of his colleagues informed him it wasn't just the Grimm being affected by these abnormal occurrences. Animals across the planet were also undergoing similar behavioral changes like the Grimm. Remnant's geology has seen changes as well. Not long ago a traveler found a small forest in the deserts bordering Vacuo. Mountains appearing out of nowhere and small islands across the coast vanishing without a trace. If what Glynda says is true that this woman could have some connection to all that's has been happening, then maybe she could help them understand the reason behind these changes. "Glynda, tell me more about what you saw."

Coco opened the door leading into the empty faculty room, she motioned the mystery to walk in, which she did. Looking at her new surroundings the mystery woman didn't seem to understand why she was here. "Uh, okay, so Professor Ozpin and Professor Goodwitch are going to chat about what to do with you. In the meantime, you stay here and wait till one of them comes by. Got it?" Coco gave an awkward thumbs up. The woman simply smiled with a tilted head.

Fox leaned towards his leader. "I don't think she understood you."

"Yea, I know."

"Well, we can't just leave her here alone. What if she walks out?" Velvet expressing her concern.

"Velvet is right," says Yatsuhashi, "There's a good chance she'll try to follow us and run into someone who isn't very understanding of her." They all knew what he meant, there were some students in the academy who weren't very fond of the Faunus. Having seen what this mystery lady could do, it would be very bad if she were to run into one of those students.

"Yea, not really looking forward to getting an earful from Professor Goodwitch as to why there's a giant hole in the school." Coco said. Turning to the mystery woman she gave some thought as to what to do while they wait. "So, uh…what do we do?" All eyes turned to the tall woman who simply smiled at them.

"Professor Goodwitch said she didn't have any Aura. Yet, she was able to easily overpower the Grimm." Fox started.

"Maybe it's because she a Faunus or Insect Faunus to be more specific." Coco pointed out; all eyes then turned to Velvet.

"W-What?"

"We were hoping to get some input from you." Yatsuhashi says.

"I-I've only met three Insect Faunus before!" Velvet exclaimed. "And none of them look remotely close to her."

"Hm. Maybe someone in Menagerie might know something about her. Don't they keep a registry of types of Faunus that come and go from the island?" Fox asks.

"Well, yea, but I highly doubt they might know about her."

Coco raised a brow, "Why do you say that?"

"Well look at her. She's completely naked. Do you really think the people from Menagerie would let her leave like this?"

Fox nodded his head, "I see your point." The other two agreeing as well.

While the team discussed more about their guest the mystery woman turned around to explore more of the room. Her eyes fell onto the bed. Not having ever seen something like it before she carefully extended her hand. It was smooth. Almost like her silk. Her hand traveled across the bed till it reached the pillow. She immediately jerked her hand away not expecting the change of touch. Slowly but carefully, she reached over to the pillow. Touching the pillow her eyes widen at its softness. Lifting it up she buried her face into the pillow enjoying the soft and fluffiness of the pillow.

A knock from the door interrupted the team's talk as well as the mystery woman's enjoyment of the pillow. Entering inside was Glynda Goodwitch. "I see you are all still here. Good."

"So, what's going to happen to miss mystery girl here." Coco pointed back.

"She will be staying within Beacon. Professor Ozpin and I believe her presence could be the reason why there has been a spike of Grimm numbers in Mount Glenn." Team CFVY exchanged glances. "We need her to tell us when she arrived in Mount Glenn and where she came from, so we can determine if there is a connection between her and the other anomalies across Remnant."

Coco raised her hand, "Um, how exactly are you going to do that? She doesn't exactly know how to talk much less understand us."

"You're going to teach her."

It took a moment for Coco and her team to register the Professor's words. "Come again?" Velvet spoke.

"Professor Ozpin and I are in charging you and your team in teaching our guest here how to read, write, and speak, as well as understanding the means what's right and wrong to do outside this room." Glynda explained. The Professor notices the very unenthusiastic looks on their faces. "Of course, we understand that this task will take a considerable amount of your days to achieve so we will propose a reward for you." The mention of a reward caused them to lift their ears. "If you go through with this task then you will be pardoned from all exams this year as well as an allowance of 500 Lien." Team CFVY looked between one another with mixed expressions. For one Coco was glad she could take a break from all the studying, Fox was also glad about it. Velvet was happy to hear about the pay, maybe she can finally buy the last touches she needs to modify her weapon. Yatsuhashi felt neutral about both rewards. "I'm sure I don't have to mention that this task of yours as well as the rewards will not be disclosed to anyone outside this room." Team CFVY shook their heads. "Good." With that Goodwitch takes her leave.

Team CFVY turned to stare at their mystery guest who smiled at them. "So," Coco started, "Anyone knows where to start?"

"We could start by introducing ourselves." Yatsuhashi suggested.

"Good idea!" Coco stepped up first. "My name is Coco Adel, leader of Team CFVY."

"Fox, Alistair."

"I'm Velvet Scarlatina."

"Yatsuhashi Daichi." After introducing themselves they waited to see some reaction from the woman but nothing. An idea popped in Velvet's head. "Maybe we should write our names on paper and hold them up while we say them." Coco glanced at her other two teammates who shrugged.

They each tore a piece of paper from a nearby notebook and wrote their names before holding them up in front of them and saying them. It didn't get a much of reaction from the mystery woman, but she did seem to understand that the writing on the paper held a meaning to each of them. "This is going to be a long year." Coco thought.

And done. Short chapter again. Gonna stick doing short chapters like this for this story. Something to tell, I will be posting the next chapter of Mothra then will stop for a month or two because the next next chapter might contain spoilers from Godzilla vs Kong. Just wanna give you guys enough time to watch the movie before I post the 6th chapter.

Hope you guys like the chapter and I'll catch you guys next time. PEACE!
