So you are the Nick Torres I have been hearing about. Excuse me but who the hell are you and what are you doing in my apartment. Oh, where are my manners my name is Mike Franks and I'm here because of two things what happened to my probie and me hearing that Shepard is alive.
Wait a second you are Mike Franks you are supposed to be dead you died in Gibbses arms and your dead he watched you die.
Well that's all very true but let's just say some people were after me so I had to be dead. But Duckie did the autopsy and said you were dead and you were pronounced dead. Well kid let's just say Duckie helped me after I explained the situation and i was supposed to stay dead but all this happened .
Torres does not know what to say then he says. Well then I assume your not just here to announce your return to someone you dont know. So Mike I assume you want to know everything about what the cartel has been doing since there return.
Well Since you and Shepard where dead the only known agent on the cartel case was me so they came after me. They went and they killed an agent and I new it was them by the style of torture technique. We got confirmation we tracked them down found out shepard was alive Gibbs got shot. They went quite for a while they started making moves recently such as shooting up my apartment.
Well Nick I came here to make a social call introduce my self and see if you were the man everyone said you were. I will be going Kid but I will see you around and I will see the others soon enough.
Torres begins to think well hes a mysterious intresting charecter hes like an older Gibbs. I see where Gibbs gets his death stares from. Well that's another secret I have to keep it's as if I'm a secret magnet.
Torres sees the time its 7:30 Am well I better get going. He heads to the office and he sees Bishop and McGee.
He arrives and says hi to Bishop. There is an obvious weirdness between them it's quite awkward. So wheres McGee at Bishop replies with hes just speaking to Director Vance. Then Torres says any word on Gibbs She replies with I have heard nothing the ohly thing is hes in a stable condition.
That's when McGee comes down the stairs and heads over to them. Then he says Nick me and you are going to go and interview him and Bishop I need you to go to the hospital and meet Ziva.
Nick and McGee head to the interview room as there going there Torres asks McGee whats up with Gibbs. McGee replies with there going to have to put a metal plate in his knee because of the damage it sustained the operation is happening in two hours. I sent Bishop to be with ziva just incase the cartel make an appearance.
Well Tim I'm sure everything will be fine the main issue with his stomach has been resolved his knee is just a bump in the road. Well Nick I wish I could share your enthusiasm but I cant.
They arrive and enter the interview room Both of them sit down. McGee then says Mr Lewis Collins born 1980 London England. You seem like a very interesting charecter married twice divorced once Multiple drug and drunk driving charges. Two charges for assault one charge for grevious bodily harm. You served 5 years in total for the two assault charges and 12 years for grevious bodily harm. You've been in prison for 3 years for the drug charges. So in conclusion McGee it looks like we've got ourselves a tough guy a real Gangster a real kray twins wannabe. McGee then says it looks like we do and by the way I love the kray twins remark both of them start to chuckle.
They can see they are starting to agitate the man they're starting to get under his skin. Lewis then says so what do yous pigs want because I assume were not here because were friends. oh yes and wheres the pretty little blonde from last night I'd happily be interviewed by her. Torres then trys to keep his composure by saying agent Bishop is not here right now shes on another assignment.
McGee then says so Mr Collins you wouldnt happen to know these to men called Diego and Hugo Martinez. He looks at them and says no I've never seen them in my life. Well that's funny because apparently they were in your club a few nights ago. So Mr Collins are you really going to lie to a federal agent.
Who says I'm lying mr federal agent he begins to laugh you pigs are funny. Torres then says look Lewis my freind here hes the nice one im the not so nice one. So your going to tell us what we want to know or I'm going to order the drug squad to raid your club and I bet they will find plenty of drugs and other illegal things. Listen here you pig no one threatens me no one. the bald headed man goes and manages to rip the hand cuffs attached to the table of.
He punches McGee in the face and drops McGee he then goes straight for Torres. He picks Torres up and slams him against the glass window. He then begins to smack Torres in the face he makes Torreses nose bleed. Torres the Knees the man in the stomach and he begins to brawl and wrestle with the man. In the end he gets the upper hand and puts the man in a head lock the man passes out. Right at that moment Director Vance bursts through the door with other agents Torres then says you couldn't of been faster. McGee then wakes up on the floor and Torres says afternoon sleeping beauty hows your face.
Both of them are being checked out McGee has a black eye and a few bruises. Torres has a broken nose and a bruised cheeck bone along with bruised knuckles. They go back into the interview room to try and finish the interview. The man is sitting there with two pairs of handcuffs on and he has some bruises on his face. Torres then says well let's try this again tell us why were the Martinez brothers were at your nightclub. Why should I tell use if they might of been there. Well your facing the charge of assaulting two Federal agents with your record your looking at 15 years in prison. Which means you won't get to see your youngest son grow up you wont get to see your daughter get married and you will miss out on the early years of your grandkids and your wife will probably divorce you. But if you tell us your looking at 7 to 10 years in prison and you will probably get of on good behaviour.
The Guy looks down and then says fine I will tell you but if you screw me your dead. They came here because me and Hugo go way back we met around 1998 when we were both just starting out. He came to say Hello and we talked about old times and he asked for a favour which I happily helped him with. McGee then says what was the favour. The guy looks down then says the favors was getting Hugo and His brother new Identies such as driver's license passport etc so they could carry on with there activities without being bothered.
McGee then says when were the identies supposed to be delivered and what were there names on the identities.
I'm not sure what the names were but they are supposed to be picked up from the club tonight around 10 o'clock. Torres then says Well Mr Collins we will see how much time we can get off your sentence and thanks for letting us use your club tonight Both of them get up and leave.
McGee says to Torres look we can't do anything until tonight and were up to date on paperwork so you go and see Gibbs at the hospital and I will join you after I speak to Vance and Torres can you pick up Ducky and take him to the hospital with you. Torres Nods and he heads over to Duckys house.
He parks his car and Knocks on the door Phineas opens it. Hello, uncle Nick how're you I'm good Buddy how're you doing. I'm good I'm just doing a school project on ww2 and grandpa Duckys helping me he's like an encyclopedia on that stuff. Torres chuckles he sure is any way where is he I and him have to go to the hospital for a while and don't worry everything is ok. He's just getting his jacket and hat on and uncle Tony is going to be looking after me until you guys are back apparently he knows about ww2 movies so that should be fun.
Ducky and Torres leave they get into the car. Torres says to Ducky so Ducky I don't know how to say this but it seems that you have kept another secret another big one. Ducky says Torres my boy what are you talking about. Well, a man was sitting in my apartment in my living room and his name was Mike Frank's the Mike Frank's who's suppose to be dead. Now when I asked him how he was alive he said that he faked his death because there were bad people after him and that you helped him fake it.
Ducky looks down then says I hoped this day would never come my boy. Well I have to explain myself what happened was Mike was a legendary NCIS agent and he made a lot of enemy's and some of the enemies were starting to come back out of the woodwork and Mike was not as young as he once was and on top of that, he was unwell. He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer he only had a few months to live. I new a cancer specialist in England who thought he could help him. So we faked his death and Mike went off for treatment. The treatment was successful and it has given mike at most another ten fifteen years. The major downside is due to Mike having people he had to stay dead and he was until today.
Torres then says Ducky why didn't you just tell Gibbs and the team. Because Mike did not want Gibbs to know because the people after him are powerful more powerful than the cartel that's after you. Torres then says Ducky how are you so good at keeping secrets like this. Well, Nick, it's hard having to keep secrets about two people not actually being dead but I had no choice in either matter.
Torres then says I won't say anything about Mike coming to visit because it isn't my place and I have a feeling he will appear sooner rather than later. Torres then changes the subject by saying phinease has been handling all this very well. Yes, he has hes had his moments but the boy has handled it very well I'm proud. Torres then says he seems to be loving doing this ww2 project with you. Yes, I have to and it's amazing all the things they can do with technology nowadays because he's presenting it in such a smart way.
Torres then jokingly says Phineas was saying how uncle Tony is going to help him with his project since he has a knowledge of ww2 movies. Ducky begins to chuckle and says I'm sure a lot of it will be very inaccurate.
They pull up at the hospital car park. They head into the hospital where they meet Ziva and Bishop. Torres ask them for some news about Gibbs. Bishop says he's still in surgery. Then a doctor approaches them he says Gibbs operation went well this should hopefully be his last surgery. We are also thinking about taking him out of his coma in one weeks time. All of them are very happy with this then Ducky says it seems our luck has changed for the better.
Then Torres gets a call on his phone. He then answers hello who is this. Hello, Nick, I have to say I admire your determination at trying to catch us but we will see you before you see us. Well, Hugo, it's been along along time hows that simpleton you call a brother still taking orders from you. Well, know that you say that yes he is and I just gave him one. The phone goes dead.
Torres then says well it looks like our luck has gotten worse It looks like Diego Martinez is out for blood. Ducky then says is Diego the boss Torres replies with no Diego is the bosses brother who's the enforcer and hitman for the family he's really stupid but he has a skill for murder and torture.
Ziva then says well it's not safe for you to stay in your apartment with the damage to it and the fact that they know where you live. So you gonna stay with me Tony and Tali you can stay in the spare room. Oh yeah, Nick no you have no choice end of discussion. Torres leaves the hospital and heads to his apartment. He goes and Grabs some clothes hair products aftershave.
He heads over to Tony and Ziva's house they live in a quiet area which has a nice garden near forests and things. He parks his car and heads to the front door. He knocks on the door and Tony answers the door. Hi Nick how are you let me take your bag and show you to your room. Nick follows Tony to his room. Tony says I will leave you to unpack your things come join us when you're ready. Nick unpacks his hair products and aftershaves and organises his clothes. He freshens up then he heads through.
He heads through and sees Tony Ziva and he meets Tali. Tali walks up to him and says hi I'm Tali what's your name. Well, Tali it's nice to meet you my names, Nick. Well, Nick, it's nice to meet you what do you do. Well, Tali I'm a Ncis agent like your Mommy and Daddy we're. She then leaves and goes to play with her toys. Tony asks Nick if he wants a beer Nick says yes both of them have a beer. Tony then says well Nick I hope you're hungry because I'm making my world-famous lasagne. Ziva then says so, Nick what issue does the cartel have with you apart from you landing them in prison with your undercover work.
Nick then chuckles and he says Ziva you're a straight shooter. Well, you're correct there is another reason for there hatred towards me the reason is me and Roxane we're together at certain points of me being undercover. It may sound crazy and I know it's crazy but she wasn't always like this. She was a nice sweet person she was smart funny.
I had been undercover for three months and Hugo wanted me to drive her to a shop she wanted to go to. When we first met we fell for one another instantly. After that, we started spending more time together and then we began our affair. But in the last month of me being undercover she changed to this day I don't know why. She became cold-hearted bitter the women I fell for was no longer there. The funny thing is everyone called her Roxy but once she changed she became Roxane. Then I get the call from my boss hey kid today's the day we get them today's the day we arrest them.
On the day of us arresting them I was the one who had to arrest her out of all them I had to arrest her. The reason I had to was because she was an accessory she knew about a lot of the stuff and took part in a few things when she became Roxane.
Tony and Ziva are speechless then Ziva says well Nick you will get no judgement from us because loves a funny thing. In the end, she was not the person you fell for. Tony then says, I fully agree with Ziva and as the saying goes loves a funny thing.
They go and they eat the lasagne and when Ziva is giving Tali a bath Tony and Nick sit with a beer outside on the deck. Nick then says Tony now that you and Ziva have moved back to D.C permanently with Tali whats your plans. Tony then say I'm not entirely sure I know Ziva is going to be a full-time mum so I have to do something. Nick then says why don't you come back to NCIS do what your good at your one of the best NCIS agents we've ever had.
Tony then says Nick it's been a long time since I've been an agent five-six years. Nick then says Tony I'm going to be straight with you we need you back. We're an agent down we need your experience because we don't know if Gibbs will wake up and if he does will he be able to be an agent again with his injuries. Another thing we don't know if Mcgee will want to be our permanent senior agent if the worst happens. Tony then says well Nick you have made a very good case but I will have to think about all this.
It's the next morning it's a Saturday Nick checks his watch its eight o'clock. He gets out of bed and gets changed. He heads to the kitchen and he sees that Tony is up and sitting at the table. He goes up to Tony and says good morning Tony. Morning Nick Nick how're you I'm good I had a good sleep thanks for letting me stay. No problem then Tony says Nick I have been thinking about what you said last night. Me and Ziva talked about it last night and we made a decision I'm gonna talk to Leon and see about me being reinstated.
Nick then gets a call from Leon. Hi Leon what is it Nick we have a situation I need you to come to the office immediately. Nick then puts down the phone and says Tony I gotta go theres a situation. Tony then says alright go go go.
Nick jumps into his car and drives to NCIS headquarters. He gets in the elevator and heads upstairs. The door opens and he sees McGee Bishop and director Vance all taking. He goes up to them and Leon says Nick we have a situation. He then goes onto say well the cartel got in contact with us and said they would spare all of us and give back shepard if we give them you. Nick then instantly says ok I will do it. Then in unison all three of them say no way.
Nick then says I have to go because this is our chance to catch them and find and get shepard back. Leon then says Nick if we let you do this we will install a tracker on you and a hidden wire. McGee then says Nick I'm not a fan of this either but I know you are gonna do this regardless since your a badass and all that. Bishop then says I'm also not a fan of this but I know your gonna do this.
Nick then says when do they want to meet. McGee then says they want to meet tonight at nine o'clock.
Its Half past eight and hes getting the wires put on him and things. He then goes and gives Bishop a letter and says if I dont come back read this. He also gives one to McGee and Vance. They then Drive to the location it's quite silent. Then Torres says this can go two ways if I dont make it back then I just want to know being on this team has meant the world to me. All three of them say that he will make it back.
They Pull up at the location and they wait then the Cartel pulls up with three cars behind them. Hugo Martinez gets out of the car with his brother. Nick then says Hello guys it's been a long time both of yous have aged horribly. Hugo then says very funny Nick now what's gonna happen is you are gonna walk towards us then once we have you we will give them Sheppard. Leon goes to say no but then Nick says okay then.
Nick walks towards them then Diego Grabs Nick and puts a gun to his head. Hugo then says so were gonna give yous shepard were people of our word but your gonna give us ten minutes to disappear and if you dont my brother blows his brains out and trust me he really wants to. Leon reluctantly agrees. Then the team are given Shepard and the cartel drive of.
