Raindrops dripped under the lawn and the sky looked sad when Dumbledore and Lorcan reached the Lovegood grounds. Molly came running to find the pair, panting, as she approached.
-Xenophilius was passed out on the floor when we arrived and there is no sign of Luna! Arthur is there with him, we have to take him to St. Mungus, but I don't know if he could handle Apparating.
- I warned the aurors, they are already on their way. Take Lorcan to The Burrow, Molly, it's dangerous to be here. I'll take a look at Xenophilius - Said Dumbledore taking a quick look at the woman and leaving.
Molly's eyes stopped on the boy for a second and then on his back
- What are you doing here? Come back now, all of you! Ginny, what did I tell you! - Shouted Molly - Come on, honey, it's not good to be here now - she whispered to Lorcan.
But Lorcan was paralyzed, a whirlwind of thoughts in his head. In front of him, his father, much younger than Lorcan had ever seen, faced him, as did everyone else in the group of six, whom he already knew, or almost knew. Lorcan never met Fred Weasley.
- Let's go home dear, I will prepare a hot chocolate for you when we arrive, yes? Dumbledore is already solving this, everything will be fine.
-What is happening? Is Luna all right? - said Ginny approaching
And then several people began to arrive apparating, including the Minister of Magic.
- It was Voldemort, wasn't it? - Said Harry
Molly looked around in bewilderment, meeting Dumbledore's gaze for a second and then fixing herself on Lorcan. Molly understood, she had to get them out of there.
-Let's go now. The Burrow, NOW!
Grabbing Lorcan's hand, Molly started to quickly guide everyone towards the house.
- And Luna?
- She's not here Gina
- Did they take Luna ?!
- Calm down, all of you. Let's go! Move fast!
Lorcan managed to locate The Burrow a few meters after a small winding path. He knew the house very well and knew that it was very close to his mother's house. They always went to The Burrow when he was younger.
-Come in, come in!
- Why did they attack the Lovegoods? Why did they take Luna? Mrs. Weasley, what's going on? - Harry asked in exasperation
- And besides, who is this? -One of the twins pointed to Lorcan, who was still standing at the kitchen door, looking at Harry.
- AH! Honey, come here, sit down. I'll get a glass of milk, while the hot chocolate is not ready, what do you think? Hot chocolate for everyone! -Molly commented, clearly her condition was a mess as she gestured for Lorcan to settle in a chair.
But Lorcan wasn't listening to her.
His mother was gone and there was nothing he could do.
Again.
Lorcan put his hands on his head and started to sway in denial.
-No, no, no, no!
It couldn't be happening. Was it his fault? Had that happened before? Was it because he was here?
-Lorcan! Lorcan, dear, calm down! Luna will be fine, Xenophilius too. We will find her, I promise, we will find her, dear.
- Is it because I'm here?
- What?
-What if it's my fault ?! Why am I here?
-Of course not, it was not your fault! Lorcan, look at me, dear, take your hands off ... Take your hands off your head ... Yes ... - Lorcan looked at Molly, with tears in his eyes - It wasn't your fault, honey, I promise you.
Lorcan looked at Molly with teary eyes. He did not know what to think and how to act. He had arrived there hours ago, his mother was gone, his father, who was dead, was now there in front of him. It was too much information for him to absolve. Then the boy did the only thing he could at the moment, shook his head slowly in agreement, even though he didn't exactly agree. He still thought it had something to do with his mother's disappearance.
-Now sit down here - Molly led him to a chair next to Ron and with a sigh, looked tiredly at her children, Harry and Hermione. And after a knock on the door, Dumbledore appeared, along with Arthur.
-AH! So, how's Xenophilius?
-He's in St. Mungus, I think he'll be fine
-Oh Merlin, what a relief! And Luna? Any sign?
-Nothing yet. But we will find her -Said Dumbledore, looking at Lorcan next.
-What's going on, professor? - Said Harry -Why did they take Luna?
-We still don't know the reason, Harry
-Why would they do that?
-We don't know yet ... The house was normal, it didn't look like they were looking for anything. Xenophilius received some curses and Luna disappeared - Said Arthur - We have no idea why ...- Arthur looked at Lorcan quickly, which did not go unnoticed by the young people.
-Molly, can we talk for a minute?
-Of course
And with a look at Lorcan, Dumbledore left the kitchen followed by Molly
- Did something happen while we were gone? - Arthur asked looking directly at Lorcan
-Well, besides all that, no. But, we want to know who he is, and Mom didn't say. The hot chocolate will burn. - George pointed to the pot on the stove and Arthur promptly put it out.
- Let me put it in cups - Offered Hermione, already walking over to the pot.
- Ginny, did you notice if ... I don't know, if Luna was different this week? ... Something different?
- No, she looked the same ... I think.
-They are running from this. Fred Weasley -Fred held out his hand in greeting - Who are you dude?
- Lorcan -The boy accepted Fred's hand and greeted him
-Were you at the Lovegoods' house when it happened?
-Yes - Said Dumbledore entering the kitchen - He was. He's Miss Lovegood's cousin
- We're going to Grimmauld Place, it's not safe here. Come on, kids get ready - said Molly, entering the kitchen - And drink the hot chocolate fast, we have no time to waste.
The young men went up to prepare their bags and Dumbledore approached Lorcan.
- Lorcan, you'll be at Grimmauld Place with everyone, right?
- Right
- You are Luna's cousin, don't forget - whispered
-What do you think happened to... Luna? - Asked, looking at the stairs
- I do not know. Honestly.
- Do you think the medallion has anything to do with it?
- It is a possibility, but we will not talk about it here.
Steps emerged from the stairs and a Harry carrying his suitcase appeared, followed by Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Fred and George.
- Can I talk to you, professor? -He asked taking a look at Lorcan
-Of course Harry
As they walked away, Lorcan went to Molly, constantly looking at Harry. He couldn't get used to his father ... not acting like, really, his father. The situation was strange and ... a little lonely. A squeeze filled his heart.
Lorcan looked at his hot chocolate, realizing that everyone had already drank, and started drinking quickly. Not that he wanted to eat or drink in the face of the situation, but he didn't want to be rude. When he was done, he went to the sink to wash the glass.
- Don't worry, dear, I'll do it later - Said Molly, gently.
-All ready? asked Dumbledore
-Yes - Everyone answered
And then, they went to Grimmauld Place.
