"How exactly did you and the princess meet?" Was a question Kristoff was used to answering.
"Well, that's a long story, let's say I kind of helped her with a problem." Kristoff remembered that day very well, it was the day that his life changed forever.
"Tell me, where did you come from?"
"Well ... I ... came from a northern kingdom. I came to seek a better life here in Arendelle, I heard that it is a great place to live." Haaken lied.
"It sure is a great place," said Kristoff.
The two were walking towards the castle, so Haaken could possibly get a job.
"How is the royal family?" Asked Haaken.
Kristoff thought for a while but then answered
"Anna is the princess, she is the kindest and most lovable person I have ever met, she changed the life of this lonely ice harvester here, you will see when you meet her, and she is... oh she is beautiful! The most beautiful person I have ever seen on Earth. I would do anything to see her well. " He said citing his girlfriend's qualities.
"And ... well there is Elsa, her sister. We are not very close yet, she is kind of cold if you know what I mean, the opposite of Anna." He hoped that no one would hear it, otherwise he would become a popsicle.
They soon arrived at the castle. Inside, they were greeted by Kai, who was passing by.
"Good morning, Master Kristoff."
"Good morning Kai." Kristoff said "This is Haaken, he came from the North."
"Hello, nice to meet you," Haaken said.
"Welcome to Arendelle, Mr. Haaken," Kai said. "If it's Princess Anna you are looking for, she is probably coming down, Master Kristoff."
"Thank you Kai, I'll wait." Kristoff said.
Not even five minutes passed when they heard a shout from the stairs.
"KRISTOFF!" it was Anna running straight into her boyfriend's arms and giving him a kiss.
"I missed you," she said.
"And I missed you." He said giving her a kiss on the forehead.
The princess noticed Haaken's presence and asked Kristoff
"Who is he?"
"This is Haaken." he replied
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Your Highness." Haaken said with a bow. "Kristoff told me very good things about you."
Anna smiled. "It is a pleasure to meet you too, Haaken." she answered.
"He's new here in Arendelle, and I brought him here to see if you need help at the castle."
"Welcome to Arendelle, Haaken. I could see with Elsa, if there is any place where you can work here."
"I can certainly find a place where he can work." This time it was Elsa who said going down the stairs.
Everyone turned to see her.
"Your majesty," said Haaken, quickly bowing.
"And you are...?"
"Haaken, ma'am." He replied.
Elsa looked at the man with brown hair and green eyes, he is kind of cute she thought, but she scolded herself for the thought.
"Haaken." She said. "Kristoff's friend I suppose, what brings you to Arendelle?"
"Actually I met Kristoff yesterday, he is helping me to find a place where I can work. I come from a kingdom in the North." Haaken replied.
"Kai!" She called.
"Yes, your majesty." Kai said
"See with Lieutenant Ivar if Haaken can take a test to be a soldier and guide him there." Elsa said
Kai nodded. "Come with me, Mr. Haaken."
The two left and Haaken was amazed by the queen, she was beautiful, he was not expecting that someone with powers, could be so beautiful, and the way she spoke, it was as if she was really born to reign, he thought about it when he followed Kai.
"Where did you met him Kristoff?" This time Anna asked.
"At the tavern last night."
Elsa looked at him coldly. "I hope he's not a problem," she said.

"So, Haaken, show me what you can," asked Lieutenant Ivar.
Haaken took a sword and went to the training camp of Arendelle's soldiers. He showed all the blows he learned as a soldier in Midsund, he was good with the sword, quick and accurate in his attack.
"It looks like you were born for this, are you sure you weren't a soldier before?"
"Yes sir, I'm sure, I used to train with swords when I was younger." Haaken lied.
"Well, lucky you because you are now one of us, welcome Haaken." Lieutenant Ivar said holding out his hand.
"Thank you, sir," said the youngest, shaking the lieutenant's hand.
"Now I'm going to tell the queen that we have a new member on the team." Ivar said walking away.
"Yes! Things are moving faster than I expected, so I can finish my mission in two weeks or less." Haaken thought as he headed out of the castle.
Next step: getting the queen's trust. he smirked to himself.
But even a young man who would do anything for his kingdom has its weaknesses, and that young man's weakness would be something he would never have imagined: his supposed enemy.

"What are you going to do tomorrow?" Asked Anna
"Tomorrow nothing, what do you think about us going out together?" Kristoff asked.
"Would be great." she perked up.
The two were sitting in the castle garden enjoying the sun and each other's company.
"Do you think Elsa is upset that I brought Haaken here?" He changed the subject.
"Elsa? No, she wouldn't be upset about that." The princess reassured him.
"It's just the way she looked at me, when I said I met him at the tavern, it looked like she wanted to freeze me right there."
"Don't worry, she wouldn't do that, she's just not used to handsome single guys around." Anna joked.
"I just hope that Haaken is a good man, if he is not, I will become an ice statue for the garden." Anna laughed at what Kristoff said.
He really knows how to make her laugh, and that was his goal, to put a beautiful smile on her face so he could admire that wonder.
Nothing could worry them both, as long as they have each other.
