Betchya can't guess what's gonna happen in this chapter

Anywho...to the story.

Taking a deep breath Rai slowly turned around, a sheepish smile grew on her face.

"Hey-" Hino and Fujino stood before her, the brunet wore a large smirk with their arms crossed. Fujino had her eyebrows furrowed but still had a large grin on her face.

The girl in question dropped her shoulders and let out a large sigh of relief.

"I can't believe it! Twice and back to back!" Fujino frowned deeply, glaring with a dark look in her eyes. "We told you Ozaki! We want to help!"

The sheepish smile reappeared on Rai's face. A soft red sprinkled itself on her cheeks.

"Sorry, I just figured that this was a 'stealthy mission'," she laughed, scratching the back of her neck.

The frown didn't waver from Fujino's face. "How's that going for you?"

Rai looked over her shoulder, looking at the locked door. Her smile slipped off and was replaced by a frustrated line.

"Need a hand?" Hino waved a slim shiny tool in their hand with their smirk growing.

Her racing heart slowed down as moved aside, letting them take her place.

"Oh! Oh! Tomi's great at unlocking things!" Fujino nodded, earning a raised eyebrow from Rai.

"This genius kept losing or forgetting her keys, it was easier to invest in a lock pick than to replace the keys every time," Hino mumbled from the ground.

A snort emitted from the brunette's mouth. Fujino pouted, giving her a look of betrayal.

"Sorry," she coughed, clearing her throat, and wiping the smile off her face.

Click!

Hino stood up and folded their lock pick up, stuffing it into their schoolbag. They stood up and dusted their pants before gesturing to the door. "Voilà."

Rai walked to the door, and looked over her shoulder. Both of her classmates nodded, and she turned the nob.

For a boys volleyball club room it was shockingly clean and fresh smelling.

The window in the back of the room was wide open and clean towels were folded neatly on a shelving unit. A few bags sat on the long bench in the middle of the room. Any others were presumably in the lockers against the wall.

"Can you guys act as watch outs? If I get caught-" Rai stepped into the doorway.

"No problem! We'll call like this-" Fujino cupped her hands around her mouth and let out, what Rai assumed to be, a bird call "-if anyone comes!"

Hino swatted their best friend's hands down and nodded with a small scowl.

Rai returned the smile and turned her back, pulling the door behind her.

"Uh, Ozaki! Make sure-" but the door shut before Hino could continue and Rai was too excited to open the door back up and ask them to repeat what they said.

She stopped and looked around the room, as she did, a large grin tugged at her lips.

Without hesitation she began to search the room, starting with the lockers. However, she quickly realized that the lockers where for the third years.

Rai stepped away and looked to the bench, her eyes paused at a familiar looking bag. Something about seemed off, like the colours, but it was the closest thing to the bag she saw Miya use.

Immediately she beelined it to the bag, removing her own school bag.

Then she dropped into a squat and pulled open her bag. She pulled the small cylinder container out and lifted it in front of her face.

The contents shook, catching some of the sun in its holographic material.

With a large grin Rai ripped open the Miya's bag and popped open the glitter jar. Before she dumped it, a rectangular box caught her eye.

"Score!" After pulling out the bento box she dumped the red glitter into the bag, making sure it got into every fold and pocket. Then she zipped it up and shook the bag for extra measures.

After, she took the bento box and pulled a small toothpaste shapped tube out of her bag.

Inside the bento box were multiple beautifully made onigiri. She stared at them in pity, but Miya's large smirk floated into her mind, and the pity washed away seamlessly.

Taking each onigiri carefully, Rai inserted the tip of the tube and squeezed.

She repeated the process for each onigiri, filling them all up with the super spicy paste.

Once the teenager was done she set them back into the bento box carefully then nestled the box back into the glitter decorated bag.

The brunette stood up and admired her work, if only she'd be around to see Miya's face.

After tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, she began to collect her things, making sure she didn't leave behind anything.

"Don't be stupid-"

"Oh? Did our little Mari decide to visit her favourite cousin?" Miya's taunting voice drifted through the door.

Rai froze on terror, she didn't think anyone would actually come! Never mind it being Miya of all people.

A loud attempt at a bird call came from the outside, making the brunette roll her eyes. Kind of late for that.

"Don't call me that! And yeah! Maybe I did come to see Osamu!" Fujino shouted, making Miya gasp and someone snorted.

Rai furrowed her eyebrows and stared at the door but quickly realized she didn't have a way out. A well thought out escape plan.

Blocking out the muffled argument, she spun around the room looking for a hiding place. But the only thing close to a hiding place was a small closet, even if she sucked in her gut, Rai would have to be a skeleton to fit in there.

With her heart beating higher into her throat, she spun around and stopped, staring right at the window.

"What are you guys doing, you've got practice for another half hour," Fujino asked.

"The net broke," a bored voice answered. Footsteps followed heading right for the door.

"Uh, no wait! I didn't give you guys hugs yet!" Fujino sputtered, laughing nervously.

Rai spun back around and ran towards the window, tossing the glitter container and tube into the garbage can. Then she tossed her bag through the open window. She grabbed the edge of the window and jumped, pulling her body through the window, swinging her legs through first.

"Yeah, great okay, we've got to get into the club room now," the bored voice spoke.

"WAIT NO-"

The door opened as she slipped through the window, and grabbed the window cil, hanging in the air.

"Where did- oof!"

"Well, we'll see you idiots hopefully never again," Hino declared loudly before leaving with Fujino.

"That was weird," Miya stated, earning a snort from the unknown person. "Don't scoff at me!"

Rai grunted struggling to keep her hold on the window cil. Her hands grew sweaty as her arms strained.

"It wouldn't be weird if Himari didn't hate you. Which is entirely your fault."

There was a disgruntled sound, and a grunt of annoyance. Then there was scuffling, and a locker door was open.

"There she is!" Hino hissed, making Rai look down to see her friends rushing towards her.

"How are we gonna get her down?" Fujino whispered looking up at the dangling body of the brunette.

"I don't know!"

Rai kept her mouth shut, nervous that if she spoke the boys in the club room would hear her. That and she was concentrated on not falling.

"Did you open the window?" Miya questioned, nearly making Rai lose her grip at the sound of his close voice.

Her heart beat raised as she stared up at the window with wide eyes.

"No, shut it before we leave though."

"Shit!" Rai looked down, staring at the grassy ground beneath her. She gulped, her arms shaking as she kept her body hanging.

Foot steps sounded, he was getting closer.

The brunette looked up at the sky and squeezed her eyes shut, then let go.

Her feet landed first, but quickly crumpled beneath her, letting her land hard on her ass.

Fujino let out a small squeak, and scrambled to help her up. While she did that, Hino grabbed the school bag and followed the two girls around the corner.

Rai had her hand on her butt caressing the spot that had connected hard with the ground.

All three students pressed their backs against the side wall of the club rooms. Rai stretched her arms, rotating her shoulders.

While she made sure none of her bones were broken, her companions watched the two teenage boys leave the club rooms.

"Okay, we're good." Hino looked back at the girls with a nod.

"Are you okay?! I can't believe you let go! Did you break anything?" Fujino lifted Rai's arm and checked it over.

The brunette let out a small laugh and shook her head.

"I'm all good, thank you." Both of her classmates nodded, sharing a large grin.

"Anything to create a small inconvenience in Atsumu's life." Fujino smirked, staring at the gyms they were passing. A dark look fluttered across her face as she did so.

"I just wish we could see it," Hino hummed with a frown. "I'd give anything to see his face."

The girls nodded, letting a comfortable silence settle over them as they walked back to their classroom.

While they waited for classes to start, the trio sat together getting schoolwork done. At least tried to.

"But...no! That doesn't work! That's a minus sign!" Fujino huffed, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Yes, but that's telling you it's negative eight, not minus eight," Rai sighed, earning a small snicker from Hino.

"But you still take away eight though!" The dark haired girl pointed out. She slumped in her chair with a frown, glaring at the piece of paper in front of her.

Hino on the other hand watched with a large smirk. They had their chin resting on their hand, eyes sliding between the two students.

Rai pinched the bridge of her nose and took in a small breath.

"Yes, but only if it's a positive number."

"That doesn't make sense!" Fujino cried, letting her pencil fall out of her hand. As it clattered on the ground, Rai looked over at Hino. They raised their eyebrows and grinned.

As Rai sat back, watching as Fujino huffed and whined until she was cut off by the bell.

Instantly the three shot up and shared a grin, staring at the classroom door. Their eyes stayed glued on it as their classmates entered. Also earning an odd look from Mrs. Suzuki.

She set her mug on the desk before walking over.

"I heard you three were early today." She pursed her lips and looked at her new student. "Again."

Rai pulled her eyes away from the door and turned them to her teacher.

The grin on her face slipped off and the exciting anticipation turned into a heavy ball of fear. She swallowed nervously and shifted in her seat, before looking to the ground.

"I don't want to put you on the spot, but seeing as these two are in on whatever you've orchestrated, I don't have to repeat my warning." Mrs. Suzuki looked at her other students. "I heard about what happened, with the note?"

Rai stared up at her teacher, a warning? For what?!

"I'm not surprised, Atsumu always has a special welcoming gift for new students. Revenge is appropriate, but-" their teacher looked over Hino and Fujino "-within reason."

"Really? You think we can do harm?" Hino frowned and folded their arms. They were only given a knowing smirk before Mrs Suzuki turned back to Rai.

"I've read you're paperwork from your previous school, Ozaki."

The brunette froze and felt her stomach churn. She stared at the ground, trying to ignore her classmates interested gazes.

"This is a new school, a fresh start, and I don't want to ruin it. Atsumu poked the wrong bear but you need to be careful." Mrs Suzuki looked at each one of them pointedly. "All of you do, I don't want to hand out detention but-"

Fujino tapped Rai's shoulder frantically as she and Hino stared at the door.

The girl dropped her jaw, matching her friends. Her eye twitched as Miya walked in, glitter-free like the day his mama brought him into the world. Although the did have a patch taped to his cheek, but he didn't seem bothered by it.

He laughed and waved, looking over his shoulder. Then he looked ahead, meeting Rai's eyes.

Miya smirked, lifting his chin before letting his attention fall onto his female classmates who swarmed him.

Fujino continued to slap the brunette's shoulder, even more as their eyes followed him.

Mrs Suzuki followed their gazes with a quirked eyebrow.

Frustration pumped through Rai's veins as the volleyball player took his seat. His large smirk plastered loudly on his face.

With an exasperated sigh, the teacher shook her head and walked to her desk.

"How. How. How? How? HOW?!" Fujino was now actively punching her classmate's shoulder. Enough so that it pulled Rai out of her shock.

"Okay, okay! Enough! I see him!" She pushed the hand away.

Her eyes glued back onto the boy in a glare and her breaths became shallow.

"He should be late if he's that clean!" Hino hissed, removing their dark glare from Miya.

They were right, if he had gone to get another uniform he'd still have to clean the bag out. Hell, he'd have some on his persons from just opening the bag.

Before they could put their shared brain cell to work, the bell rang.

Mrs Suzuki clapped her hands, and immediately went to putting her fingers to her mouth. The loud screech put her students in gear and they all broke from their conversations to run to their desks.

Rai scooted to her desk and sat with furrowed eyebrows.

"Alright! I told you we were gonna start the science projects but before you put your newly gained knowledge to the test-" a loud groan erupted from the entire class "-I need to see if you actually grasped the concept." Mrs Suzuki lifted a stack of papers and started to hand them out.

The students mumbled 'thanks' as she passed them the small packets of paper.

"You all know the rules, no cheating, take your time, and if you need more time just let me know." She passed Rai the pop quiz and looked around the class. "And please-"

"Put your name on the test!" The class answered in unison making the teacher smile.

"Thank you, and that means full name."

Rai turned around to see her teacher looking pointedly at Miya, who stared up at Mrs Suzuki with an innocent smile.

"Course, Mrs S! Wouldn't think of anything else!"

She only rolled her eyes and passed him the quiz before moving on.

Rai shook her head and turned around, writing her name on the top right corner. That's when she felt the small tap on the back of her head.

She bit her tongue and ducked, starting with question one. However her back door neighbour just poked harder.

"Hey!" Miya hissed softly, pulling his body across his desk.

The brunette broke the lead tip of her pencil as she breathed out. A currently failing revenge plan was enough to make her blood boil. The failed attempt was entirely her fault, she had forgotten to account something and Miya knew something was up. He must be an anarchist because he was just pouring more fuel on the fire.

"Remember O-S-N-A- oh, keep it neat too. O-S-N-A-K-I. None of those scribbles you call letters 'kay?" Miya's breath brushed against her back side.

Heat steamed off her cheeks as she pulled her paper closer to her body.

"It's Ozaki and buzz off!" Rai hissed, although she knew it was pointless. As far as Miya was concerned, it was Osnaki.

There was a snicker and she braced herself for another jab at her writing but he slumped back into his chair. While he didn't say anything, she could feel his growing smirk.

Even though Miya stayed quiet the rest of the period, Rai found it infuriatingly impossible to finish the quiz. Her mind continually drifted back to the locker room, playing out her actions and trying to figure out what went wrong.

She lazily circled answers and used her energy to attempt to neatly print out her long answers.

Then, near the end of the period, Miya got up, handing in his test. As he came back, he hovered over her, raising an eyebrow at the answers.

"Miya, sit down," Mrs Suzuki warned without looking up from her marking.

He slipped into his seat, grin only growing only grew as Rai struggled with one of the last questions. It also didn't help that he made a snort every time she went to circle an answer.

After trial and error he hummed when she finally circled A.

"If it's wrong I'm going to deflate every volleyball you own or ever going to touch," Rai muttered, loud enough for him to hear.

"Five minute warning! Remember if you need more time, just ask!" Mrs Suzuki announced.

Although she was on the last question, Rai couldn't tell the difference between two of the answers. Nearly identical but a few words changed to one of their synonyms.

When it doubt, circle C.

"D."

Rai narrowed her eyes and looked over her shoulder. Her mouth opened, he quickly looked up to the teacher's desk before cutting her off.

"It's D, trust me." He looked up again before going back to his phone.

She stared at her paper, staring at the question. The bell rang and she let her shoulders slump. Her pencil circled D and she clutched it in her hands as she got up.

"Threat still stands," Rai hissed before handing the quiz in.

The gods rained mercy down on the poor girl, letting morning classes slip by but not without continued with the lovely commentary of Miya Atsumu. Of course all of it was about Rai's penmanship. Followed with pokes from his pencil.

They had one more class before lunch, math. The period when Miya did the impossible, he became even more insufferable.

She had to give him some thanks though, because he didn't poke her for the first five minutes.

Then he decided to imitate a woodpecker.

"What?!" Rai hissed as she turned around, sharply glaring at him.

He grinned childishly and held up his paper, "if I got -42.069 I did it wrong, right?" His childish grin fought from turning into a smirk as his desk neighbour's eye twitched.

"There is no way you got that number on accident." Regardless, Rai took the paper and looked over his work.

Swirls decorated the edges of his paper, the only actual work done was attempts at the first question, which had been erased more than once.

She erased the work and began to write out the first step only for her hand to be swatted away.

"Hey-"

"I know I'm a genius but I can't read your writing, it looks like dyslexia's ugly cousin," Miya said nonchalantly as he took his paper back.

Rai stared at him with red cheeks and had half the mind to punch him.

Against her better judgment, she relaxed her fingers from the fist she was clenching and started to explain the steps.

Once he got the first row done, Miya kept to himself, letting Rai finish her own worksheet.

Soon after, the bell rang, lifting the heavy weights off of her shoulders. Eagerly she cleaned up her papers, carelessly tossing her pencils into her school bag.

She got out of her seat, pulling her bag onto her shoulders only to clip shoulders with Miya.

"Watch it!" Her eyes narrowed when they met his. They flashed with amusement, as he grinned.

"Try smiling for once."

Rai felt a burst of fire consume her chest, as her hands clamped into tight fists. She began to lift up a hand as she closed the distance between the two.

Miya reached forward and poked her nose, making her come to a full stop.

Her entire body froze, blinking continuously as she processed what he just did.

He smirked, letting his face hover in front of hers. As she stared at him with anger that could kill, he lifted up his hand and wiped it down her cheek.

"Got a little something on your cheek-" his eyebrow raised as he inspected his finger, then he looked up at her with a growing smirk "-glitter? I didn't realize Osnaki was into children's crafts! Guess that explains your writing."

Miya pulled away and laughed as he walked out, leaving Rai fuming.

"Ozaki?" Fujino called, tapping the girl's shoulder. "Hey, you okay?" Her hand waved across her classmates eyes.

"I think I'm going to kill him," Rai muttered as she unclenched jaw.

"Huh?"

"He knows about this morning, but I still don't get how he got scot free."

They trio stood their with grin faces, staring at their feet, narrowing their eyes. Rai was fuming, absolutely steaming. Hino gave the floor a tired scowl, and Fujino just looked annoyed.

A small rumble came from her stomach, which then in turn prodded Hino and Rai's stomachs.

"Line's just getting longer," they mumbled, opening a hand to the door. The girls nodded and grabbed their bags, leading the way to cafeteria.

The three walked through the cafeteria, trays in hand as they head for a free table.

A cat call echoed through the already loud room, directed right to Rai.

"So girlie! You still up for it?! How much is it gonna cost?"

Her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around, finding a groups of boys. They all snickered and sent cat calls.

"Or are you just in it for the fun?!" One of them grinned, winking a little too hard.

Heat rushed to her cheeks as she realized what was going on. It only fuelled her ambition to fix her mistake and get Miya good.

Damn note.

"If you want a good time, I can show you a good time!" Another smirked, wagging his tongue around.

Damn Miya.

"Oh go blow yourselves!" Fujino scowled, sticking out her own tongue.

Hino glared behind the girl, making the boys laugh nervously before cowering together.

"Come on, let's go," they said, letting their voice be heard, shepherding the two girls to a table far away from the boys.

They sat in silence as they started their meals. Rai poked at the sushi on her plate, her eyes hard and glued to the table.

Finally she smeared one with wasabi and picked it up. She slowly took it into her mouth, and chewed. Fujino slurped on her noodles happily, getting splashed with broth and beside them Hino crunched on their fried shrimp.

While the two seemed content, irritation boiled Rai's blood.

As she ate, her teeth chomped down harsher and harder. Even her eyebrow's angle grew sharper and steeper.

Out of nowhere she slammed her utensils down and growled.

"I don't get it! How did he get away with it?! I couldn't have gotten the wrong bag, the colours were the same-"

Hino looked up from their half eaten shrimp, they looked off to the side and pursed their lips.

"What were the colours?" They looked at her, carefully taking a bite of the shrimp.

Rai stopped glaring at the sushi, quickly looking up with wide eyes. She traced over Hino's face, looking past their long locks draping over their light eyes. Her building frustration popped, deflating like a balloon.

She looked at Fujino who paused, letting the noddles slap against her chin.

"Uh, maroon and black?"

"Maroon with a black stripe? Or black with a maroon stripe?" Hino furthered, perching their eyebrows.

Fujino looked back and forth, her eyes widening. Her mouth dropped, and the noddles splashed into the broth.

"The first one?" Rai asked, afraid of which was the right answer.

Hino dropped their chopsticks, leaning back and pursing their lips, looking off. Beside them Fujino let out a snort, and gave a nervous giggle.

Rai stared at both of them, fear wrapped its hands around her throat.

"What?" Nothing. "What?!"

The nervous cackles from Fujino underlined Rai's constant 'what'. Hino just stared at the roof.

"I didn't get the wrong bag!" Rai jumped up, and froze, face falling hard. "Did I?"

"Miya's bag, wrong Miya." Hino set their chair back down, letting it land with a thunk.

"Wro-"

"YOU ASSHOLE!" A clatter of chairs falling, and a table screeching across the floor sounded.

They jumped and all their heads whipped to the commotion.

A silver haired boy had launched himself across a table, pulling their classmate out of his seat and onto the floor. The two started rolling around, Miya attempting to avoid the punches the silver haired boy was throwing.

Students started getting out of their seats, crowding around them to see the fight.

At first, Rai hesitated, but when she saw a fist collide with Miya's face, a large grin stretched across hers and she led the way, her two classmates right behind her.

"I didn't do any-"

"YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING MY ASS!" The silver haired boy shouted, landing a punch on Miya's shoulder.

No one made a move to stop them, in fact numerous students pulled out their phones.

One seemed quite prepared, holding it still as he zipped around the circle, getting shots from as many angles as he could.

His dark brown hair swished from the sides as he hopped around and his sleepy eyes stayed glued to the screen, sparkling with a hidden mischief.

Miya held his hands up, trying to stop his attacker. "I'm serious! Relax-"

The silver haired boy stopped, just long enough for Rai to see his face.

At the moment his eyes were wide with fury, but had the same shape as Miya's. His hair was similar in the way it sat, but the bangs were swung opposite and the colour was grey. The silver haired boy's eyebrows were thick, just like Miya's.

The colour drained from her face as she tried to process what the hell she was seeing.

The Miya look alike resumed his attacks, landing a hit in wherever he could.

"You! Are! Such! A! Liar!"

Fujino grinned, pumping her arms up and down, cheering every time he landed a hit. Hino stood with their arms crossed, and watched in amusement.

"Miya has an evil twin?"

The dark haired girl pulled her stare away, letting out a small giggle.

The boy getting different angles was passing and stopped, looking over his shoulder at Rai. A small amused smirk danced across his face. However his thin eyes stayed stagnant with emotion.

"Nah, Atsumu is the evil twin but when 'Samu gets worked up-" she looked back at the rolling boys "-he's not the friendliest."

"They're twins," Rai mumbled, lifting to rub her face with a tired whimper.

"You think I call him Atsumu because we're close?" Hino scoffed, smirking as said boy let out a cough.

Rai slumped her shoulders, it hadn't really crossed her mind. Some people preferred to ignore the suffixes and name etiquette.

"I...thought you guys went to elementary school together or something," she weakly offered.

"Well, yeah." Hino shrugged.

"Didn't anyone think this was important to tell me he had a twin?!" Rai shrieked, absolute mortification grew red in her face.

At this both of her companions stayed silent, wordlessly watching the fight.

Ojiro pushed his way between the crowd, behind him Kita followed. Both looked annoyed, in a bored way. Like it was nothing new and they waited for a few seconds before trotting to the duo.

"Cut it out you two!" Kita ordered, letting a chill run down Rai's spine.

While Kita didn't necessarily give off warm vibes, but he definitely didn't come off as aggressive. This time though, his voice was hard, making Rai pray to the gods above to never have to be in the receiving end.

Despite her newfound fear, the pair ignored their upperclassman and continued to hit each other.

Finally Miya, Atsumu, was able to flip his brother over. It was his turn to land a good few hits.

He pulled his arm back, giving Kita the perfect opportunity to grab him. With the help of Ojiro, the lifted him and held him back.

"I swear I didn't! Why would I do that?!" Atsumu scowled, looking utterly offended.

Osamu picked himself up, returning the glare. "Why wouldn't you?! Glitter in my clothes?! Spicy paste in my food?! No one else would do that!"

The colour drained from Rai's face, and she shrunk back.

"Miya's bag, wrong Miya."

She covered her mouth in horror, meeting the eyes of her classmate. Immediately her cheeks went red, with wide eyes. She abruptly turned and snaked her way out of the crowd.

Heat burned up her face as she escaped the crowd, she paused, giving a short look over her shoulder.

Kita now stood between the two as Osamu shouted, cursing his brother out. Atsumu just stood, glaring right back.

Rai swallowed, the pressure around her lungs grew as she left the cafeteria, heading right for the washrooms.

The door swung open, the only thing keeping it from crashing shut was the springs in the door. However, the stall she slipped into, didn't. The door slammed as she threw her back against it and sunk to the floor.

Her hands covered her face as she took shaking heavy breaths. The sound of the fan clouded her head, the loud whomps of the blades grew into pace with her heartbeat.

If Miya, if Atsumu, ratted her out, she was screwed and there was no way he was going to let his brother blame him.

On top of it all, she had messed up. She had got the wrong person. Never in her life had she got the wrong person.

Yet, there she sat, hiding in the bathroom, nearly overheating from the heat fuming off her face.

"Ozaki!" The bathroom door opened, and footsteps bounced off the tiled walls.

Said girl jumped, looking up from her hands.

"Are you in here?! Ozaki?!"

"In here," she croaked, lifting herself off the floor. Just as she did, the stall door swung open.

Rai stood with her head hanging, absolute mortification sat on her face.

"Did either of you think to mention Miya- Atsumu, had a twin?"

Fujino looked away, putting her lips. A pink danced on her cheeks but it was nothing compared to the roaring fire in Rai's face.

"You said you knew about the schools sports teams...and you said your sister was a volleyball freak...so we assumed you knew about the twins." As much as it sounded reasonable, Hino's refusal to look their classmate in the eye was enough to tell her that it never crossed either of their minds.

"Yeah! The Miya twins are pretty popular! Specially in the volleyball world!" Fujino scoffed, piggybacking on Hino's words.

Rai just stared at both of them.

"Just admit that it never crossed your minds," she sighed, looking off with a gloomy stare.

"So...can we go now?" Fujino pointed to the bathroom door. "I'm still hungry and I gotta ask Suna for the video of the fight before I forget."

Rai's eyebrow raised, and she looked to Hino who only nodded in seriousness.

"He just better not charge us like last time," they mumbled with a pout.

The brunette sighed, and nodded, picking at her fingernails. Her left knee bounced back and forth as she waited for one of the two to lead the way out.

"Hey..." Fujino's face soften, and her eyebrows dropped "are you okay?"

Rai gulped, and looked off to the side. She shook her head slowly before looking up at the ceiling.

"Miya...Atsumu, is gonna rat me out. I'm gonna get expelled again." Her shoulders slumped in utter defeat.

"Again?" Fujino repeated, earning an elbow to the ribs.

"Relax, those upperclassman dragged those idiots away. None of the teachers showed up, you'll be fine," Hino assured, giving an awkward smile.

Some teachers they had here. Back in here old school it was a wonder how Rai got away with as much stuff as she did. As soon as a verbal fight started the teachers would be in it like a pack of starving wolves.

"You sure?" Rai asked, looking at them in fear.

"Yeah, besides I don't they would really listen to Atsumu blaming the new kid." Hino shrugged with a roll of their eyes.

Rai looked at her in amusement and gave a small shake of her head. However, a small seed of anxiousness imbedded itself beneath her skin.

"Alright! Let's go!" Fujino threw her arm up, holding an imaginary sword as she pushed the door open.

On their way back to the cafeteria, Rai remember a peculiar conversation from that morning.

"Fujino?"

"Yup?!"

"This morning when you were on look out...that was the twins that came by, right?"

"Yup."

"Atsumu made a comment saying you were here to see your favourite cousin...Osamu?" The girl hummed, waiting for the question. "If he's your cousin...then that means-"

"Tsumu's my cousin too!"

"They're her first cousins. Mari's mum and Tweedledee and Tweedledum's mum are sisters," Hino explained, watching as horror continued to unfold on Rai's face.

"Not to really push my luck, but don't you kinda think that maybe possible... THAT'S KINDA IMPORTANT TO TELL ME?!" She screeched, letting the palm of her hand hit her forehead.

The two just grinned sheepishly, avoiding any eye contact with her.

"Hey!" She stopped in her tracks, frowning as they both walked ahead, hands behind their backs. "Hey! Were you just not going to tell me or wait till I made a bigger fool of myself?!"

Fujino snorted and picked up the walking pace, skipping as she did so.

"HEY!" Rai shouted, running after them, both cackling as they raced back to their abandoned seats.

Wassup. Yeah so I realized that technically because they're from a different part of Japan, everyone native to the Inarazaki area would talk with "y'all's" and "yer" and "ya"and all southern...kinda...from what I've been told. Idk. But I find that absolutely cringey and terrible to read so I just threw that out the window. Also I was about two chapters in when I realized that so. Yeah.

Also big ask from y'all, can you let me know what kind of characteristics you're getting from Rai? I'm having a wee bit of a difficult time trying to focus on her personality, and I've been idea shooting forever with ideas, so a lot of wires get crossed and I don't know what y'all see when you read. So I want to know the vibes and characteristics you get from Rai or just things about her. It'd be much appreciated!

Love ya!
