CHAPTER 4
Things were great and now Pelina is all the more in to Sheena .
Sheena received a text message early in the morning. Rubbing her eyes she thought it was from Pelina wishing her a good morning. But no. it was from an unknown number which made her face go pale.
It was from the man Pelina was seeing after she left her husband.
There was no name. yet from the content, she knew it was him.
The message said - "well!so, how it is going between my bitch and you. She pulls a married man into this mess. Sleeps with me. Gets me into this dump. Now, I cannot think of going back to my wife. And finally, she tells me that she is out for ever from this. She wants to be a changed human from now , wants to have a healthy and happy life and the reason is you. Who is kidding me?"
Sheena felt a wave of disgrace as she read. She knows that relations with females were a fuck up. She had these from school. But never was a man involved and never did she try to break any two people in a relation. she never played hero in any relation and she doesn't want to play hero now.
She thought about this. Mustered up all her courage. Went to knock at Pelinas door in the hostel.
Knock knock!
"Yes, coming", a voice said from inside.
Pelina – hey! Everything okay? You never show up like this? My room mate is still sleeping.
Sheena – I need to talk to you
Pelina – closes the door behind and walks out."what is it "?
Sheena - What exactly is the relationship between you and the guy who drops you in front of the hostel. I know iv asked this before, but you need to stop beating around the bush and tell me this time.
Pelina sensed that there was something was quite. Not answering a word.
Sheena – so, that confirms, you were sleeping with him. How stupid can I be when you said that he was a distant brother of yours. You even assured, when I asked saying how would a woman have an in -appropriate relation with a man who is married and has 2 year old daughter. And yet here you are and how dumb could I be when you said, he was a distant brother of yours? How could I forget the rumours at this hostel?
Pelina interrupts_
Pelina- that was in the past. I did want to come out of this dump and never had enough courage. I knew the rumours and people talking bad about me. I thought fuck the people and fuck the society. But, you came along and I wanted to come out of this. How can I tell you about my past. I thought you would instantly flee from me.
Sheena : well! Idont know about then, but iam now. Tell this man not to text me. Meet him right away and tell him , iam done with you. I wonder where he got my number from . from you I suppose when you met him. Dumb me.
"We are over "
sheena said and walked over.
Pelina stood there dumbstuck .
Later that evening – Sheena received another uncomfortable text from the man. She dialed on that number instantly.
Man – iam surprised, you called.
Sheena – who ever it is, I told Pelina - iam out. You can have her for yourself. She said, you were her brother and hence I proceeded into this. We never had a physical relation. It was all just attraction I believe. I just wanted to see her as a better person. There were terrible rumors about you two in the hostel, yet I wanted to see the good in her and made the move. But, I come from a decent family, and I don't want to fuck up my life fixing hers. This time it was just a phone call from you. Id rater not take it further, where you come down to hostel and threaten me. Id like this to stop. I need to finish my course.
"wow o wo….wait young lady" the man interrupted
Man – ok. I see that she said, I was her brother, but were share a different relation. He elaborated their relation ….and he going on …..blah….blah….blah….blah…
Sheenas mind wandered after speaking to him for while. She thought in which fresh shit hole has her leg landed this time. What is all this crap from this disgusting man. She had no choice but to listen and assure him.
She interrupted him
"yes I understand. I don't want to interrupt your relation. Ill hang up now. I hope I don't need a revisit from you over my phone, she said and ended the call.
She quickly recovered. Blocked his was trying to contact sheena, but she was in no mood. The man said some disgusting romance between them and Sheena felt throwing up during the call. She thought to herself – Pelina was in deeper shit than I thought.
Days were passing by, she really missed Pelina. Sheena was 22 by then and wondered if it were her genuine feelings or hormones hitting her.
She did suddenly remember one thing the man said.
"she says she wants to be a changed person now "he said during their conversation
That hit Sheena, did she give up on the relation, when she exactly shouldn't have?she wanted to bring the good side of pelina. She was into this, knowing all the rumours. Then why back now? Why leave a woman, who wants to get out if this shit?
Can she play a hero? Is she upto face a man, who might even knock on the hostel door if she finds back pelina into her life
