Upon waking up the sun reaches over the horizon. I hear the birds chirping and the babbling brook running through the garden. As I focus harder and look around I notice two females talking to each other and giggling. It was Latias and a pidgy who must be great friends.
Oh good morning hyun, glad to see you're awake! This is my friend Peggy, she always keeps me entertained, I have always been a light sleeper and am up with the sun. We saved you some of the dinner from last night as you passed out before you could eat anything. That is probably why your stomach has been growling all night as well.
I blush in embarrassment however thank the two females before eating some of the berries from the night prior. Hey where is latios? I asked as I enjoy the flavors of the sweet berries. Peggy began to tell me that he doesn't wake up for another hour or two typically before heading off on a patrol of the town.
I nod in understanding and ask if I should save any for him when he wakes up. Both give a mischievous look as they look to each other then to me. You know what they say said the dragoness. The early bird catches the worm the pidgey finished. Remind me never to sleep in with you to around then. Both females giggle in response to what I said before the pidgey flies away.
So you are looking to use psychic attacks is that correct? Said the latias in a serious tone. I nod in affirmation to her inquiry. You know I could teach you what you need to know if you don't mind. Both of us are the same species just different in genders so what I can do you can do and vice versa with just a few changes.
I think back to the first patrol I did with the Twins and how latios questioned my ability to shapeshift. I would love for you to teach me latias, and maybe you can explain how I am able to use your abilities. From what I can gather I should not be able to do so. Latias thought hard about my question to her before responding that it should not have been possible but somehow it is. This would also be a good reason to train with her as she wasn't sure what else I could do.
Most psychic attacks just require a lot of concentration and practice. The more you use your new abilities the stronger your mind will become. The stronger your mind the more you can do. For example, The latias looks too a rock sitting by the Riverside , her eyes glow a bright blue and the rock floats into the air almost flying like when we levitate. After a few moments of levitation the latias placed the rock back on to the riverbed.
Now you try brother! I blushed at never being called brother before then attempted to lift the rock the latias had lifted only moments ago. I do manage to lift it maybe a centimeter off the ground before I start to feel really lightheaded and drop it. Great job! said the latias. You did it!, it seemed to be a little heavy for you. Keep practicing on smaller objects until they become easy for you. Once it feels easier try to lift that again.
the latios had apparently seen everything from the treetops and nodded in approval of what his sister had shown me. Not bad for your first time, maybe after some practice you will be able to lift a Boulder like the one behind our tree. I look at the giant Boulder thinking not even he could lift it but sure enough the latias nodded as if he could. You mean you can lift that latios? His eyes turned a dark blue and the Boulder taller than me levitated off the ground with ease almost as if he wasn't trying.
Latios you are such a showoff said the dragoness. You're gonna hurt his confidence if you continue to show off like that. Wait so you can't do that latias? No she said my focus is not to be more powerful or the strongest, I would much rather help my brother or the other Pokémon around me. You see latias are more of defensive type Pokémon so we don't specialize in moves that cause damage. Anything we can't do through pure strength we can do through planning. We're more like tacticians if that makes sense.
I nod in affirmation before the latios pipes in. Yep they rely on a big strong Latios like myself to protect them that's usually the plan. The latias just huffs and rolls her eyes at her brothers comments before the latios continues, so where is breakfast anyways I am hungry. Well it would seem the big strong latios will be getting his own breakfast today for that comment. Surely he can take care of himself to which the latios just groans and I laugh in amusements.
After Latios was able to get his breakfast, we went out on patrol like usual and this time they explained how to get back to the garden should I ever get separated from them. Latios then mentioned when I passed out that my necklace was glowing and was curious how the necklace was created. It seemed to act just as their soul dew does only on a much smaller scale. He hypothesized that if the soul dew was their father and provided them with the strength to fight that quite possibly the necklace was created with their mother's soul inside the necklace.
The latias grinned with excitement at the possibility that their mother has returned home and spoke, "If what Latios hypothesize is true, then we now know how you are able to use my abilities. I nod in understanding and look at the pendant hanging around my neck. If what you say is true you must keep that , maybe someday we can bring our parents back.
I nod again in understanding then inquire what there is to do in the city other than patrolling every day. The latios rolled his eyes clear on his face that he enjoys the patrols well latias just giggled. We have the best ice cream in the world or at least I think we do said the latias. You mean you've never been outside of Altimare before? Do not give her any thoughts said Latinos firmly, we are safe here in the garden the outside world would only try to enslave us.
Not all humans are that way, we have a human friend named Bianca who took care of us growing up and every once in a while I do a painting with her. She is very good at drawing and I absolutely love to paint. I hope to be as good as her one day. Bianca? is that the form of the girl you took when we first met? The latios jumped in stating that Lorenzo who is bianca's grandfather is the only human we have ever trust other than latias lover ash Ketchum. You love a human? The latias blushed in embarrassment, at least you were able to find somebody and I think that's great. Well thank you hyun, brother just bought that up to embarrass me but I am glad that you found someone. Latios chuckles, of course he understands, it takes a girl to understand a girl. I blushed before yelling at him telepathically that I am not a girl to which he just chuckled again.
Anyways we should head back to the garden, abra will be waiting for us and I would love to train some more. She even said she would like to learn some moves with me. The trio flew back to the garden enjoying each other's company. Once there they found some berries on some bushes nearby and went to wake up abra so I could show her what I've learned. I wonder if abra can learn all the moves I learn, I guess we will find out.
Meanwhile hidden in the shadows of the tree that the trio slept in hid a shadow, the shadow watched in interest At seeing a second Latios live, that must have been why there was a an energy spike I detected. I must inform the King, he will not let them escape again. The lati must pay the price all mortals pay at some point.
