Despair and agony filled the mood in the house.

It had been a few days since the death of their bandmate, Seokjin.

Everyone was sitting in Seokjin's room, unable to bear the lost feeling of their eldest member.

Namjoon was still sobbing, Jimin just sat there quietly, Yoongi and Hoseok were talking about any clues they had found, and Taehyung and Jungkook just hugged each other, feeling sad.

Everyone was grieving. They didn't have the energy to even comprehend that one of them was the murderer. They were too tired to find out, yet.

"I miss hyung.." Jungkook whispered.

"I know. Me too." That's all Taehyung could say, hugging him tighter. Jungkook buried his head into Taehyung's chest, crying. Taehyung held Jungkook closer, missing Seokjin.

Meanwhile, Jimin was sitting down, his head hung low.

Jimin felt guilty. His last words to Seokjin was not something he wanted to tell Seokjin. He felt really exhausted, even if he didn't move much. He looked at Namjoon, seeing him sobbing. "I shouldn't be the one sad. It should be Namjoon." Jimin thought to himself. He scooted over to Namjoon and put his head on his shoulder.

Hoseok and Yoongi talked about all the things they found. "Okay, we talked about the things we found. Is there anything we don't know about?''

"The time. I don't know the time." Yoongi said.

"Me neither. I didn't really look at the clock, but I think it was 4:30. But... what's the point if we don't know what time he died?" Hoseok said.

"Oh.. uhh.." Yoongi thought for a moment. "Namjoon?"

Namjoon put his head up, looking at Yoongi. "The time was 11:00 when I left Seokjin alone..." He said, then putting his head back down.

"Hmm... So maybe he was already dead for 4-5 hours before we found him..." Yoongi wondered.

"Maybe." Hoseok said. Yoongi then sighed, tears forming. "I miss Seokjin."

"Me too. We all miss him. There's nothing we can do about it, though." Hoseok said, his voice cracking as he sobbed.

Everyone then went silent, reminiscing on the memories of them and Seokjin.

They couldn't help but think back to when Seokjin was alive. To when things were better.

Sure, it probably wasn't a good coping method, but there was only so much they could do.

"What happens if I jump off this bridge?" Seokjin asked.

"You- You're literally the oldest, you know if you jump off you'll break a bone right?" Yoongi said, seriously.

"Nah, he'll be fine.~" Hoseok teased.

"Alright, bye!" Seokjin said as he jumped in.

"Hyung!" Jungkook said, shocked.

"I'm jumping in, too. Wish me luck, aliens." Taehyung looked up at the sky, praying before he jumped in. He jumped in.

"Oh my god. They're going to die." Jimin said.

What ended up happening was that they were fine. They just pretended to look dead, and Jungkook and Namjoon were in hysterics.

Each member flashed back to their memory with Seokjin.

"Stupid. You know we can sneak in just fine." Jungkook whispered. It was the beat time of night, and they were planning to rob a candy store.

"Oh lord. We're about to rob a candy store. I'm too old for this." Seokjin said, stretching his back.

They jumped the fence, careful not to make any noise. They snuck to the back, where there was a ladder.

They climbed it, and got in through the chimney.

Seokjin coughed, as the dust went into his lungs.

Jungkook gasped at how much candy there was.

"Start packing. We're getting a feast today."

Jungkook smiled at the memory. It was nice to let them have some fun.

"What if I feed it this?"

"I- Hoseok. You can't feed a sugar glider candy! Are you insane?"

Hoseok and Seokjin were currently taking care of Seokjin's sugar gliders.

"But... they need a little treat once in a while, they'll be fine! Also... it has sugar in its name, I'm sure it can take some candy, right?"

"Hoseok... I really can't believe you're going to be a vet." Seokjin said, facepalming.

"Well, I'm just saying!"

Hoseok realises how stupid that was, and lets out a small laugh.

"Maybe we could be best friends? Like... besties? I don't know?!" Namjoon says, fidgeting his hands.

"Really?" Seokjin asked. He was slowly dying inside at Namjoon's confusion

"Y-Yeah. Only if you want to, I mean-" Namjoon was interrupted by a hug.

"Yeah! I'll always be by your side, okay?"

"I- That's not what I meant, silly." Namjoon said.

"I know. I was just playing with you." Seokjin said, laughing.

"Damn it, Seokjin.."

Namjoon lets out a small laugh at the memory. It was silly, sure, but he felt happy.

"Personally, I think that this piece of art has something missing." Jimin said.

"What? I think it looks fine." Seokjin said. "It's handsome."

"Don't start hitting on the statue, I have Namjoon on speed dial. I think that if the statue had more detail, it would look better." Jimin points to where the detail could've been more.. detailed.

"..Why there? You dirty minded-"

"Shut up." Jimin says, laughing as he runs away.

Jimin smiles at the memory. He remembers how Seokjin was chasing him after.

"It's okay.. It was a long time ago. He's not coming back to haunt you." Seokjin said, hugging Taehyung.

"I know, but.. I still have nightmares about it." Taehyung said.

"It's just a nightmare. Don't sweat it." Seokjin said, getting up.

"Where are you going?"

"To beat the nightmare fairy up and tell them to give you better nightmares." Seokjin said, putting his hands on his hips.

Taehyung smirks. Seokjin was joking around, but it made Taehyung happier.

"Tell me that you won't do it again. Tell me!"

"..." Yoongi looked away from Seokjin.

"Please, for us. For all of us." Yoongi didn't respond.

"For me..?" Seokjin said, his voice cracking.

Yoongi hugged him. "Okay.."

"..There. We got the film." Yoongi said, stopping the camera.

"Hopefully they'll believe this. I'm a genius, right?" Seokjin said.

"Nope, I am. I'm a Min genius." Yoongi said, shrugging. "Here, let's send it to them."

Yoongi remembers that moment clearly. What happened after was a mix of them believing and not believing them. He wishes he could go back to those old days.

Everyone wished they could go back to before. But they couldn't.

They sat in silence. No one wanted to say anything.

"Okay, clearly no one's in the mood to talk about anything. How about we try this tomorrow?" Yoongi said. The others agreed, getting up and going to their separate rooms.

Hoseok and Jimin sat in the room, silently. They still shared a room, but they got along quite well.

"..." No one said anything. Hoseok occasionally looked up at Jimin, who was sitting.

Jimin noticed, and spoke up about it. "What?"

"Oh, nothing.. Hey, by the way, do you feel sorry about what you said to Taehyung? It's really..."

"I feel bad. I really do. It was in the spite of the moment, and I shouldn't have said something like that

The next day, they went out and met up again in Seokjin's room.

"Yeah. Okay, anyone here witness something here?" Hoseok asked.

Taehyung glanced up, realising that what he saw before may have been a murder in process.

"I think I heard and saw a struggle in Seokjin's room." Taehyung said. Everyone else perked up and stared at Taehyung.

He fidgeted for a bit, feeling nervous.

"Well, hurry up. Tell us." Hoseok urged.

"I don't know if I feel comfortable talking about it."

"What do you mean? You should tell us. We need to know." Hoseok said, putting the emphasis on it.

"I feel a bit traumatized and shaken by it. I don't know if I want to talk about it.." Taehyung whispered.

"Hey, if he doesn't want to talk about, he doesn't have to-"

"No!" Hoseok says. "I- I mean... we could get closer to finding out.." Hoseok said.

"I told you, I don't want to! You can't take no for an answer?!" Taehyung screams.

Yoongi intervenes. "Okay, stop it. Let's just forget about it. Stop arguing." He says calmly, taking Hoseok away.

Jungkook grabs Taehyung, bringing him to the opposite of Hoseok.

Jimin is in awe of how they handled it. He holds Namjoon in his arms as they watch the commotion.

"I don't know why he wants to know so bad. I hate him!" Taehyung mutters, his face in his hands, with a frown.

"Er, hate is a strong word, you know..." Jungkook whispers.

"I don't care! I hate him! I hate Hoseok!" Taehyung mumbles.

Jungkook gets a bit scared, shuffling a bit away. Taehyung notices, and sighs. "Sorry."

Yoongi puts Hoseok down. He notices he is angry, which was a bit of a shock.

"Are you alright?" Yoongi asks.

"I'm fine." Hoseok says. It was clear his face was red, fuming from the argument.

"Sure." Yoongi said. He hugged Hoseok, trying to get him to calm down.

Yoongi sighed. It probably would've been better to leave him alone for now. Yoongi got up and left, looking around.

He saw Taehyung and Jungkook on the opposite side of the room, and Jimin and Namjoon sitting. He decided to talk to Taehyung and Jungkook first.

"Hey.." Yoongi said, feeling a bit nervous.

Jungkook looked up. "Oh, it's you. What? Are you here to tell us Hoseok's apology?"

"Er.. No. I wanted to ask what you guys were doing at the time of Seokjin's.."

"I was playing video games. Hoseok can back me up on that."

"Oh, okay. And you, Taehyung?"

"..I was with Jungkook." That was all Taehyung said.

"Yeah, Tae's right. The dude came up storming into my room because Hoseok was being an ass and they were arguing!" Jungkook said, smiling sheepishly.

"..Yeah, okay. Thanks." Yoongi said, walking away. He looks at Jimin and Namjoon, who are talking with each other.

He then walks up to Jimin and Namjoon. "Hey."

Jimin looks up. "Oh, hey Yoongi! Do you need something?"

"I just wanted to ask you what you guys were doing at the time of Seokjin's.. you know."

"Oh, um.." Jimin paused, not knowing what to say. Namjoon spoke up, soft toned and calm in a way that made Yoongi wonder how he could be so collected with his thoughts.

Yoongi was definitely jealous. How could he act so calm, while Yoongi was all scattered around?

"I was out for a nice walk. Texted 'Seok after to tell him to open his door to check on him. See?" Namjoon showed the texts.

"Oh, that's nice." Yoongi said. He walked away, figuring out what he should do next.

"Oh." Yoongi thought. "Might as well ask Hoseok the question, get this moving."

Yoongi walked over to Hoseok. "Did you find any more evidence?"

"Are you seriously asking this question, now? But yeah.. I took some pictures.." Hoseok said, bringing out his phone.

"You gathered up the courage to take pictures?" Yoongi laughed, then grabbed his phone and looked through the pictures.

"Yep, the body. Definitely what we saw." Was all Yoongi could say.

The other members gathered around. "Let me see." Namjoon said, which surprised everyone. He grabbed the phone, looking at the pictures.

"Oh, wow." Namjoon said. Yoongi was confused. "He was sad a moment ago, now he's.. just normal?! All of a sudden?!" Yoongi thought to himself.

"Wait." Jimin says. "Look, there's blood on his finger. Is it possible he wrote something?"

"Maybe. We haven't found it yet, though..." Hoseok says, getting up. "Okay, everyone, if you're on board, then let's find it!" He took out some gloves. "I kinda don't want anyone's fingerprints and stuff in Seokjin's room. Also, be careful with your hair. Stray hair could fall out, so don't pull your hair or anything."

Everyone agreed, taking the gloves and went to different sections. Yoongi was looking in Seokjin's drawer, Namjoon and Hoseok were looking in the bookshelf, Jimin and Taehyung were looking on the walls and floor, and Jungkook was looking under the bed.

Jungkook looked around, trying to find whatever "death note" there was. He wasn't really keen on this whole murder thing.

"Not under the bed!" He said, getting up. He then checked inside the nightstand.

"Work your way from the bottom to the top, Jungkook."' He told himself.

The bottom drawer had an album of pictures, with him and the rest of them in it. He closed the drawer, looking in the next one.

The middle drawer had Seokjin's personal stuff. He shook his head, closing the drawer.

He looked in the top drawer. There was nothing, but surely if Seokjin didn't have anything in it from the start, then there would be dust, right?

He questioned it, but shook it off. "Maybe he took it out days before he died." He closed the drawer.

He reached the top of the nightstand itself, and saw a book. "His taste sucks." Jungkook thought to himself, sighing.

Jungkook then saw a faint line of blood running down the book. He picked it up, opening the book.

Jungkook screamed, dropping the book. The other members ran over. "What?!"

"The book.." Jungkook could only mutter.

They looked down, crouching. Yoongi gasped. "The... bookmark?"

What Yoongi put away in the book wasn't a bookmark.

It was a paper with Seokjin's dying message on it.

And on the paper read one letter.

J.
