Tears Do Come True
Chapter 04
Back in Mobius:
It's been 3 months since Sonic and Amy back to their own world safe and sound. Everyone was so happy and relieved to be back safely.
While the Grand Egg Imperial flying over a city, Eggman is sitting in his chair looking at his monitor, taking close a look at Amy Rose from what he could see something strangely about this Pink Hedgehog... Her belly is getting bigger which made him so curious about her?! He also, notice Sonic is acting strange around her as he starts looking after her not as he usually does and he carefully keep his eyes on her if she doing something.
He remembers from that time when he was in Prison Island to collet Chaos Emeralds, as he knows that Amy has arrived to rescue her boyfriend Sonic from the prison, but she has been captor by Shadow, as he informs Eggman about her. Then he remembers that he told him to do whatever it takes to keep her away from their missions.
And when the Earth is saved, he knows that Amy was half naked covered by towel, which means Shadow have done something to her.
Then he discovered that she's having a baby from Shadow the Hedgehog, he was surprised from what he found and couldn't believe this happened!?
So, this mean Shadow the Hedgehog has been established a relationship with this girl behind his back without realizing it. Which made him very angry and disappointed to that dark hedgehog...
"HOW COULD THAT HEDGEHOG HAVE DONE THIS BEHIND MY BACK...!" Eggman yelled in anger, which he causing his followers jumped frighten in shocked by hearing their boss shouted.
"Doctor, what's going on?!" Bocoe asked.
"Is the pink hedgehog that's why! She's having a child from the Ultimate life-form." Eggman said.
His assistant didn't get the point from the begging, but then they realized of doctor said, which made their eyes wide open.
"WHHHAAAATTTTTT!" They shouted in shocked of hearing this news.
"Amy is having a Bady!" Decoe eyes were sparkled and teary up.
"From the ultimate life-form, Shadow the Hedgehog... That so Coooool!" Bokkun is also, eyes sparkled like his friend.
"I bet the baby is gone be like his daddy!" Bocoe said in joyful, imagining what the baby is gone be?!
"That doesn't even matter! I need to find out more about this child, wither it would have a power like Shadow or something else...?!"
"But Doctor, don't you think it's to early to kidnap her...!" Decoe said.
"And also, Sonic may gone hunt us down if we ever hurt her or her baby?!" Bocoe said.
"Then let's bring the party to them." Then Eggman turns up the volume and blasts through the city.
At night time in Vanilla's house:
Amy has been visiting Cream and Vanilla to tea party. While they looked into baby's things that Amy buys for him.
"This one looks very cute for your baby, Amy." Cream is looking at baby clothes.
"Chao, chao!" Cheese nodded.
"I know right," Amy said with all the excitement, "I just couldn't resist to buy it... And look what I've got?!" As she shows her the t-shirt that has Cheese face on it.
Cheese fly happily of what he saw, the girls laugh it him.
Just then Amy has suddenly felt tremble in her belly, "Cream, the baby is moving!"
"Really...!" Cream was very happy, as she quickly came closely and lay her hand at Amy's belly to feel his kicks and Cheese joying her to feel it too, "I can feel him, he's kicking... Hehe... It's amazing! I can't wait to meet you little one." She said it too close to let the baby hear her.
"Chao, chao!" He agrees, as they both enjoys this moment and excited to meet this new friend to have a great time together.
"Girls... Tea is ready." Vanilla calling them, as she carrying tray with teapot and sweeties.
Vanilla pours teas and served to Amy.
When she tokes the sips. "Ah, just the way I like it." Amy was relaxing when she tastes the tea relish.
Vanilla is very happy watching the girls laugh, "So, darling! Have you thought about the offer that we made the other day? Would you like to come live with us?" She asked.
Amy closed her eyes in happiness.
"Thanks for the invitation, but... I can't accept."
Cream jumped to her set by feeling disappointment of what Amy said, "Oh, but Amy, we really want you to stay here with us! We really care about you and your baby."
"Cream, please...!" Vanilla said.
"I know and it's okay... I'm really glad to have a friend like you, but you don't have to worry about me. I could handle things on my own."
"Amy, I understand your feeling, but you have to think about your baby health... You are gone give your first birth soon and it's gone be hard for you to take responsible for your first-born child without the father around and even Sonic doesn't know how to raise a baby. So, take my advice, as a mother... You'll gone need my instructions to raise your baby and Cream will help out too."
Vanilla is right and Amy knows that also, which is why she is gone need a lot of advice and instructions from her. It made her happy and grateful to have a friend like them.
"You're right Vanilla, I'll give it a try!" Amy smiled happily.
"I'm back, and batter then ever!" As all the sudden, Eggman voiced over from The Grand Egg Imperial is flying nearby.
And Amy has became stress by anger, of hearing Eggman shouting in this peaceful night.
"I've come to publicize my dastardly designs for building the Eggman Empire! I'm all set to spread misery and mayhem around the globe! You'd better quit your foot-dragging and race to the rescue, Sonic! Otherwise, this world will have to face the music!"
"Yah!" A disco ball lowers and Eggman starts dancing.
"How embarrassing." Bocoe commented.
"What kind a dance is that?" Bokkun questioned.
"I think it's called 'The Jerk'." Docoe answered.
Suddenly the ship shakes from a sudden impact, knocking everyone inside the ship.
"What was that?" Bocoe asked.
"I think something hit us!" Decoe said.
It's revealed that Amy's Piko Piko Hammer has embedded in the hull of the ship. "So noisy," Amy is standing outside Vanilla's house, looking up at the Grand Egg Imperial breathing heavily to calm her angry.
"Hey, who is the wise guy that hammered out home?" Bocoe asked.
"There's something about that hammer that looks awfully familiar."
"Amy! Why did you hit us?! We were not bothering you!" Decoe exclaimed her.
"Don't you idiots have any idea what time it is?! Turn down that volume or I'll knock that flying loudspeaker out of the sky!" Amy shouted at them.
"Don't blame me because your boyfriend is not here and besides I came all the way here to see with my own eyes of what you have become." Eggman said.
"And what would that be, Egghead?!" Amy asked try to cool down.
"Your baby, of course...!" Eggman was smirked.
Amy eyes were wild in shocked that he has known about her baby and he probably know that the baby is Shadow's child. So, she has to stay calm and pretend to be brave.
"Uh, so you finally know..." She smiled and cross her arms, "I would have thought that you could discovered real soon, but it seems your time of evil plan has getting rusty and drawing to the junk rest where it belongs."
That made Eggman very angry from the way she insults him, "DON'T TRY TO FOOL AROUND ME LIKE A FOOL, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO IS FOOLING AROUND PRETENDING THAT NOTHING HAS EVER HAPPENED?!"
"That is right!"
"You should be ashamed to yourself!"
"And it's certainly not my fault that your boyfriend isn't around you anymore."
"I bet Sonic is hang around somewhere 'cause he couldn't stand seeing you that way!"
A fiery aura surrounds Amy, indicating fierce anger. Cream and Vanilla slam the door and shut the window. They know better then to mess with an angry Amy.
"Amy's a hothead, but now she's hot all over!" Cream exclaimed in fright.
In Grand Egg Imperial Decoe, Bocoe and Bokkun are huddled together in fear of seeing Amy's in rage of what they said.
"Talking about fire up!"
"She'll cook our goose!"
"Perhaps we should say we are sorry."
"Huh, she is the one who's gonne be sorry if she messes with me! Hehe... You'd better cool of, cupcake. We've got your hammer up here, so you can't touch us!"
To prove Eggman wrong answer, Amy instant summons a second hammer.
"Aah! Another one!"
"She must have more hammer then a hardware store!"
"Don't strike me just because you're struck up with Sonic!" Eggman exclaimed.
Amy shout and swings her hammer in rage. "You creep!" She shouted.
"Where is your boyfriend?!" Eggman shouted.
"Don't tease her, Eggman! She's mad enough already!" Bokkun exclaimed.
"Will it because Sonic dumped her!" Decoe said.
"I WAS NOT... DUMPED!"
"Oh yeah? Then how come Sonic is not with you, he probably relieves that you no longer chasing him around anymore!"
Amy shuts him up by hurling her hammer at the ship.
At that time, Tails is flying with Tornado 2, he didn't have time to remove his sleeping mask and nightcap when he heard Eggman in about to attack. "You have been a lot annoying when we got back," He pilots the plane toward the Grand Egg Imperial. "I'll teach you not to wake me up, Eggman!"
"He's challenging us" Bokkun said
"Shall we charge up the cannons, Doctor? We can blast him out of the sky!" Bocoe exclaimed.
"Good idea." Eggman said.
A barrage of Piko Piko Hammers slam into the hull cause the ship shacking very hard.
"Hold on! We're not ready to you yet. Let's lead him into a trap. Follow me, Tails!" Eggman said.
"Okay, but don't try anything funny!"
"Who, me?" As Tails follows the Grand Egg Imperial flies away.
"Come back here you coward! I'm not finished with you." She lowers her hammer and her body to calm herself and control her breathing.
Vanilla and Cream open the door and went outside to help Amy up. While they in Vanilla holding Amy's arm to let her sit on the couch gently and then she sits beside her to help her, "Take a deep breath... and let it out slowly!"
As Amy listening, she tokes her breath and slowly let it all out.
"Here you go, Amy!" Cream has brought glass of water to Amy.
"Thanks, Cream." Amy toke the glass and drink the water. "That guy is such a dork!"
"Dear, you shouldn't push so hard, you could have hurt yourself and the baby." Vanilla exclaimed.
Amy sigh deeply, "I'm very sorry, Vanilla! He just said a lot of mean things to me and its really hurt my feeling which made me very angry."
"He's always said lot of things, but he doesn't know the true meaning of friendship between you two." Vanilla smiled.
Amy looked at her with smiled and eyes sparkling to her friend, as she hugged her happily for being at her side.
"Hey, how about we continue our party? The tea's getting cold." Cream smiled.
"Chao, chao!" Also, Cheese smiled back.
They're all agree with her, then they went back and have peaceful Tea Party as it was.
After an hour:
Back to Tails as the missile close in.
"This is it..."
Suddenly a bright light coming from the moon. Tails works up the courage to look up and sees the light becomes brighter. Super Sonic has finally appeared, blazed through the missile and destroy it. Then he lands on the hull of Grand Egg Imperial.
"Hi, Eggman! What's up?" Sonic greeted.
"So, you have finally here."
"You won't be conquering this world, as long as I'm here."
"That's what you think, Super Saps! Hehe... If you dare to interfere with my plans, I'll squash you like a bug."
But unfortunately to he, Sonic quickly destroys entire ship, which immediately explodes. Eggman and his hench-bots escape in the Eggmobile and disappear in twinkle.
Back in Vanilla house:
Amy was laid there in front of the window looking at the night sky fall with start, and Cream is sleeping on Amy's lap comfort from exhaustion of working all day to prepare everything for the arrival of the baby.
They've been built a crib and fashioned together other things her child would need eventually. Once done with the required necessitates, Amy made baby's toys, blankets, and other accessories.
Amy's favorite was a small plush doll of Sonic and she also made plush doll of Shadow to let her child know how's his father looks like.
Then she had lavished great beauty into the decoration of the room. Placing stars and diamonds in a jaded many colors ceiling and a marble moon to watch over her foal. Along the walls, Amy painted beautiful blue sky with trees, a monument to her baby's late father and the beautiful gardens, where her child could play and hang around during the night and day.
Once all that was completed, all Amy had to do was wait. She considered what would happen once her baby was revealed.
Amy didn't quite know how or when she would reveal her child, so she had decided to wait until she could no longer hide her pride and joy, and she knew Vanilla would support her, she loved babies and Amy also knew Sonic and her friends would relish having another family member.
But there is something else that Amy missed the most! Shadow... He'll miss every moment to watch his child born into this world and see him laugh, play and say his first words. But Amy was happy what she was because she is with her loving friends and knew she will always be with Shadow in his heart. after Shadow said he loved her before he left, knowing he'll never see his sweet rose again except in his dreams. He'll always knew she will be with him in his heart no matter what.
There was kick.
Amy arose from her reminiscent thoughts and turned an upraised eyebrow at the belly where her child slumbered safe from the world.
"Go back to sleep little one, mama is tired." She told her stomach reproachfully, rubbing away the pain. She sighed heavily, unclenching her jaw when the pain finally subsided.
It only had been momentary, and she was more then sure her baby had simply kicked a little too hard. She waited a few minutes and when the pain didn't return.
As if in defiance of her, the baby kicked again.
Then again.
Suddenly, a wave of pain ripped through her belly again, but this time it was sharper, longer and powerful. She groaned and grit her teeth together, and close her eyes waited for the pain to pass
"Ooooohhh." Amy groaned as another contraction wracked her body. Then she became aware that her lower body had begun to go into the early stages of birth.
Cream woke up by hearing Amy moan in pain, "Amy, what's wrong!" She asked with worried gaze
"I... I feel a pain... A-And... AHHHH..." Amy shouted by feeling a lot of pain in her belly.
"Cheese... Cheese wake up!" Cream try to wake her Chao.
"C-Chao...!" As soon Cheese woke up rubbing his eyes.
"Cheese, call mummy! Amy is in pain." Cream said.
As Cheese realized what is going on, he quickly flies out the room to find Vanilla.
"It's alright, Amy! Try to breath..." Cream griped Amy's hand to help her breath.
Then finally Vanilla approach and sees Amy's breathing picking up as she realized that the baby is coming, It's time!
"I'm here, dear! Try to calm down, and breath... Everything is gone be alright." Vanilla said calmly try to control her nerves. "Cream go get the doctor, you know where he lives."
"Yes, mummy!" Cream responds.
"And Cheese, got some bucket of cold water and cleaning towel."
"Chao, Chao!" He responded and quickly flies out to the kitchen.
And Cream went out the house and fly up to the sky to get the doctor... Unfortunately, however the doctor isn't at home. He left the notes at his door that he's out of town, which means there is no doctor around and even the hospital is too far to get there. Cream was very scared not knowing what to do?! She cried in worried about Amy and her baby.
At the time above the cliff, Knuckles is thrown to the ground by Rouge.
"So... do ya... give up yet?" Rouge said in panting.
"Are you kidding? I'm just warming up!" Knuckles suddenly looks up and see Cream fly back home with full tears from her eyes. "Hey, it's that Cream?"
Rouge got attaching of what he said, as she looks up and sees the little bunny girl cry, "What happen to here and why's she crying?" She asked wandering.
"Something may have happened... HEY CREAM!" Knuckles shouted to call her. Then Cream stopped fly when she heard her name, she saw Knuckles and Rouge standing there and she lain down to them.
"Kiddo, what wrong, why are you out here in late?" Rouge asked.
"I... It's... It's Amy." Cream still crying in fear, "I... I couldn't find a doctor... He's out of town... and... and I can't even find Mr. Sonic or Tails..." Then she starts cry very hard.
The two are in shock, Amy is gone have a baby very soon and there is no way she can make it to the hospital.
"Where is she now?" Rouge asked.
"I... in my... house!" Cream said.
"Alright, kiddo! We'll help out..."
"WHAT 'WE'!" Knuckles yelled in shock of what she said.
"Yes 'We'!" Rouge looked at him with series eyes. "Take us to her!"
Cream eyes sparkle with joy and relieve, "Thank you, thank you so much!"
'What have I got myself in it?!' Knuckles said in his thought, as he tries to smile hard to make Cream happy.
Back to Vanilla house:
Vanilla try to calm Amy and place the cold towel on her head, and Cheese sit next to her, with worries and scared of seeing Amy's hurt.
'Oh, Cream! Where are you, darling?' Vanilla said to herself with worries that her daughter is late to get doctor and Amy is in lot of pain.
"Mummy I here!"
"Uh, thank goodness!" Vanilla was relieved to hear her Cream has return, but she was in shock when she saw Rouge and Knuckles entering the room, but no doctor. "C-Cream where is the doctor?"
"He's out of town and I have tried to find other doctor but no one's at home..."
"Don't worry, Vanilla! I came to help," Rouge said, "I know how to handle of giving birth and knucklehead will be my assistant."
"WHAT DID YOU SAID, WOMAN!" Knuckles shouted at her that she insults him, as she quickly covers his mouth to keep quit.
"You sure you could handle this Rouge?!" Vanilla asked with worried tears.
"Yes, I'm sure... and don't worry, she is in good hand." Rouge smiled. "Knucklehead, carry Amy to bed and be careful when you place her."
"Ahh, fine!" Knuckles growled away and do what he was told.
"Cream, get me more towels and cold water to cool her down."
"Okay!"
"Vanilla I need you stay be her side, she really needs you at that time."
"Right!" Vanilla agreed.
As soon Amy has placed on a bed and prepared for the child to come into this world.
"It's alright Amy, you gone be okay!" Rouge said to her as she wears the cloth to get ready.
"R-Rouge!" Amy was surprised of seeing the bet woman is here.
"Yes, sweetheart and I'm here to help." Rouge said to her with smiled on her face.
As Vanilla sit by her side and Knuckles on the other side to help Rouge.
"Knucklehead I need you to hold Amy's hand."
"W-What, why!" Knuckles wander.
"Don't asked, just do it." Rouge order him. Then he did as he told.
As soon he griped her hand, all the sudden Amy's brace his hand very hard which made him scream loudly in pain from her grip.
"Gosh, you're screaming like a girl." Rouge try to hold her laugh by looked at him.
"I'll get you for this you devil." Knuckles moan in pain.
Amy couldn't breathe through because of the pain, they have to try and subside it. So, they took warm clothes and placed it over her belly to at least try.
It was just enough to make her breathe. She inhaled and just as had no choice but to push. The child was about to come all too soon. Knuckles didn't know if this was natural or if she'd be able to get him out.
"AAMMMMMYYYYY!"
All the suddenly, a loud shouting calling from outside the house, they have heard the door slam opened and ran inside, then all blurry Sonic has finally arrived as Tails is beside him try to breathe.
Everyone was surprised to the blue hedgehog has showed up in this time.
"How is she? is she okay?" Sonic asked in panic.
"S-Sonic...!" Amy couldn't believe that he's here.
Sonic approached and placed his hand on her head with worried, "It's alright Amy I'm here with you and I'm very sorry for being late and leaving along...!"
"I-It's okay... As long as you're here now... AHHHHHHH!" She screams as she gritting her teeth in pain.
"What can I do to help?" Sonic asked Rouge.
"Stay by her side, support her." Rouge explained.
"S-Sonic I'm scared...!" Amy cried in fear.
"You can do it Amy, I believe in you." Sonic said in hope that she'll be okay.
Amy groaned loudly as she pushed again and again, tried to catch her breath as they came out short and quick, with each push, she grew wearier. Rouge knew she wouldn't last much longer and so she started speaking to her.
"Amy, I know it hurt, but you have to continue. Your child depends on you." Rouge said looking at her strained and drenched with sweat face.
"I... I can't!" She cried closing her eyes shut. "I can't push!" The sweat dripping everywhere.
"Yes, you can. You have to or you both shall die!" Rouge said making sure Amy know of the outcome.
Then Sonic said something to her "Amy listen to me! You have to be strong... So, your child can survive and the memory of Shadow is depending on you."
"Sh-Shadow!" Amy cried as the tears stung her eyes. She would die before she gave up her child.
She then tossed her head back and cried out in pain as she pushed again... and soon she let out her last gasp, her head fell back on the bed and her body eased.
Amy felt how light her body was now. This time, she wasn't at Vanilla's house, she was in the place where all light surrounded her, she felt a smile come to her face seeing a dark hedgehog with his back turned to her only a couple yard away.
"Shadow!" She calling him with a smile as she lightly ran over him.
Shadow turned to her and opened his arms let her fall in his grasp. Amy fell on his arms and let her tears fall as Shadow held her.
She had never been happy in her life then right now. She hadn't even thought if she had to died or not, but it made her heart warm up by holding him. She opened her eyes and smiled at Shadow who smiled back. Her eyes couldn't get taken away from him.
"He needs you Rose," Shadow placing his finger under her chin to make her look up. "You have to go back."
"But I'm too weak," She said "I'm nothing without you."
"Then take my strength." He said placing his hands around her waist.
Amy soon felt herself be pulled back together.
Three and Half Hours Later:
Amy was very tired, after several hours of sweat and pain though, it was all worth it. She was laying down on her bed, recovering from the shock of the new born hedgehog leaving her body. Her fur was matted with sweat and she panted with exhaustion.
Once Amy heard the cries of her child. Her eyes scanned the room to find him, but it was so blurry she couldn't see anything. Then soon she shook her head and saw Vanilla holding him.
"Amy you're awake!" Vanilla smiled happy to see her friend has woke up.
Amy felt a smile come to her face as her eyes lit up. "I-Is it..."
"A boy," Sonic said as he sits next to her. "Well done Amy."
Then Cream, Cheese, Tails, Knuckles and Rouge are so happy to see her well. Amy cried so much that day, her child is okay and now all she wanted is hold him.
"Let me hold him." Amy holding her arms out.
Vanilla gave her baby gently, Amy held her child in her grasp and cried. He was not taken and the last thing she had from Shadow wasn't gone, he's here with her alive.
"My little miracle." She cried weakly.
He soon looked at his mother and just went silence like he knows who she was. She smiled as she took his tiny hand to hers, he looked just like his father expect he was different...
He was so tiny; his hands were cute and fluffy as they rested on the baby's sides. He was a young white hedgehog with upturned quills a lot like Shadow but a little shorter, rounder and droop a little lower. He had three spiky bangs and red streaks through his quills. It was a light red, almost pink but not folly pink. He also had red streaks on his arms, legs, bangs and tail. His muzzle was a light peachy tan color. His eyes are big just like his mother, rounded and cheerful like when the day ended and the night began, his eyes were wonderful red sparkled when he stares at his mother for the first time.
"He's just like him Amy." Cream said as she looked at him.
"Chao, chao!" Cheese chare happy to the new born.
"I know," Amy said.
"Look how tiny he is." Tails smiled to look at the baby.
"He is so adorable." Rouge said smiled.
"Amy, have you though the name for little champing." Sonic asked happily.
"Yes," Amy said, reaching down smile to nuzzle her wonderful pup boy. "Chaos... That will be your name. Chaos Rose Hedgehog... For beginning of a new life."
"Chaos, that's wonderful name Amy." Vanilla said.
"Huh, that kid sure can be a hero when he grows up." Knuckles said as he stood at the door side cross his arms.
"Maybe he will, someday!" Amy still looking at her child. She couldn't leave her eyes on him.
"Sonic, do you want to hold him." Amy asked.
"W-What... But I don't know how?" Sonic said nervously.
"I'll help you." Vanilla toke the baby and place him gentile on Sonic's arms. As Sonic hold him closed he ever feel so happy by holding this tiny one which really felt so wonderful.
Sonic looked at the baby happily and whispered, "Hi there, buddy! Welcome to the real world... I'm your uncle Sonic. You and I are gone have a great time together when you're ready."
Chaos didn't respond as he yawn from exhausted and snoozing deeply.
Amy feeling blessed that she given birth to a healthy and happy child, she leaned down and finally succumbing to a much-deserved rest. Her starry mane gently blew in an ethereal wind above the both of them as she closed her eyes, wondering at what the future had in store for the both of them.
She was no longer alone that made her happy.
