Hello, everyone! Here is the third chapter of Haikyuu! Ninjas! Karasuno begin to storm Basara's castle fortress to save Master Saru, but easier said than done with traps and enemy ninja coming at every corner.
Chapter 3 - Storm the Castle!
Inside his throne room, Basara saw Karasuno preparing themselves with their team huddle. Next to him is the still unconscious Master Saru with a chain wrapped around his neck.
"So the brats decided to come." Basara said.
"Then let's welcome them properly." Basara continued.

"Any ideas how we'd get in?" Asahi asked.
"We can knock." Nishinoya said.
"Knocking won't get their attention, shorty." Tsukishima said.
"Who are you calling a shorty?!" Hinata and Nishinoya asked in unison, in an angry manner.
Tsukishima twitched his eyebrow in annoyance.
"We can try scaling up the wall." Kiyoko said, pointing upwards.
"That's a brilliant idea, Kiyoko-san!" Tanaka hollered.
"If only we had something like grappling hooks…" Yamaguchi muttered.
"Uh, guys!" Kageyama hollered, alerting his peers.
"What is it?" Sugawara asked.
"We got company." Kageyama replied, having drawn his bow and just shot down an archer (but didn't kill him and just injured his right shoulder to lose balance and fall to the ground).
At that moment, all the ninjas just showed up and surrounded Karasuno.
"Guess we can consider this our welcome committee." Ennoshita said, drawing his tonfas.
"Looks like we have you surrounded, crows!" An enemy ninja hollered.
"You won't go any further!" Another ninja hollered, drawing his sword.
The other enemy ninja drew their weapons of swords, bows and arrows, and any other kind of Japanese weaponry. Karasuno did the same of drawing their own weapons.
"Looks like we're knocking after all!" Nishinoya hollered, twirling his nunchucks.
"ATTACK!" The lead enemy ninja shouted, as the rest of the ninja on the ground charged at the twelve crows.
"Let's go!" Daichi hollered.
"Right!" Hinata, Yachi, Kageyama, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, Tanaka, Nishinoya, Ennoshita, Sugawara, Asahi and Kiyoko hollered in unison.
Each of the Karasuno students took on small groups of the enemy ninja and were having the advantage in pairs like Hinata and Kageyama; Yachi and Kiyoko; Daichi and Sugawara; Asahi and Nishinoya; Tsukishima and Yamaguchi; Tanaka and Ennoshita.
Each pair were quite the match-up against the enemy ninja with flawless teamwork without fail.
Hinata blocked the enemy with his swords while Kageyama kept shooting down enemy archers from above the gate with sheer accuracy. Yachi was simply evading and disarming while Kiyoko used her fans to generate strong winds to blow them away. Daichi blocked enemy attacks with his shield while Sugawara swung his bo low to knock them off their feet. Nishinoya was dodging and reflecting enemy attacks with his libero skills while Asahi punched any unfortunate to get in the ace's way. Tsukishima used both sides of blade handled like a staff to block multiple blades while Yamaguchi trusted his spear with both the pointed end to knock their weapons away, and the blunt end to make them crumble. Tanaka hacked and bashed his way through while Ennoshita grappled them to submission.
"They're too strong!" An enemy ninja hollered.
"It doesn't matter, kill'em!" Another enemy ninja hollered.
The enemy ninja started moving in a big circle to surround them. But that was a big mistake.
"They're not that bright, aren't they?" Tsukishima asked.
"Stupid is more like it." Sugawara replied.
"I'd say this is the perfect idea for… special moves!" Hinata hollered.
Most of Karasuno were wildly confused.
"You talking nonsense." Tsukishima said.
"I am not! It's what our counterparts did! They're cool!" Hinata hollered.
"Well whatever we do, the enemy's coming!" Tanaka hollered.
"Then let's try'em out already!" Kageyama hollered.
The enemy ninja began closing in.
"Dragon Fang!" Hinata shouted, doing an X-slash on several enemy ninja with his amazing movement.
"Quick Blade!" Yachi shouted, performing a quick dash with her tanto at an alarming speed.
"Quick Shot!" Kageyama shouted, firing one arrow with extreme speed and power at an enemy archer before repeating the same maneuver on the rest.
"Crescent Moon!" Tsukishima shouted, slashing several enemy ninja with a crescent-shaped energy slash.
"Lance Strike!" Yamaguchi shouted, throwing his spear with some force.
"Swiss Cheese!" Tanaka shouted, doing a barrage of stabs with his dual sais.
"Rolling Thunder: Nunchuck Style!" Nishinoya shouted, doing his signature Rolling Thunder with the addition of his nunchucks.
"Tonfa Fury!" Ennoshita shouted, performing a six-hit combo move with his tonfas.
"Shield Throw!" Daichi shouted, throwing his shield in a Captain America fashion that ricocheted the ground enemies, and some of the enemy archers Kageyama missed.
"Staff Rush!" Sugawara shouted, using his staff in a flurry of quick strikes at more enemies.
"Metal Fist!" Asahi shouted, punching with one of his metallic fists in a larger group, blowing them away.
"Fan Throw!" Kiyoko shouted, throwing both of her fans in different directions and hitting separately one enemy on the ground and another archer that's still standing.
Soon enough, the enemy ninja were overwhelmed and forced themselves to retreat.
"See! Special moves are awesome!" Hinata hollered, getting excited.
"It was!" Tanaka and Nishinoya hollered in unison.
Kageyama and Tsukishima gritted their teeth in embarrassment of doing something so humiliating.
"We have to keep moving." Daichi said.
"Then let's-" Nishinoya said.
"Don't say knock." Kiyoko said, slightly glaring at Nishinoya.
Nishinoya only replied with a salute.
Asahi took a deep breath and with all his strength, he punched the gate doors very hard. The doors were slammed to the sides with the front wide open.
"AWESOME!" Hinata, Kageyama, Yamaguchi, Tanaka and Nishinoya shouted in unison, amazed.
"Not bad, ace." Sugawara said, lightly bumping Asahi's shoulder.
Asahi chuckled.
"Let's go!" Daichi hollered.
The students sped inside the castle with no hesitation.

Minutes later, the group made it into the fortress. But upon setting foot, they accidentally triggered a trap which revealed arrows shooting from the walls in front of them.
Yachi, Yamaguchi, Ennoshita, Sugawara and Asahi screamed in fright.
Tsukishima, Nishinoya and Daichi were quick to their defense and blocked, slashed or deflected the arrows effortlessly.
"Good job, Tsukki!" Yamaguchi cheered.
"Just what'd you expect of our Guardian Deity, Super Defender and Karasuno's Shield!" Sugawara commented.
"Super Defender? Really?" Daichi asked, having a sweat drop on his forehead.
Another trap was activated from the ceiling that revealed ceiling flamethrowers raining down.
"Move!" Ennoshita hollered.
The team managed to avoid the straight and center flames by putting their backs against the wall and keeping their bodies straight for a while until the flames died down.
"That was too close." Kageyama said.

The team kept moving down the halls until an alarm system triggered.
"What's that?" Hinata asked, getting frightened.
Several of the walls opened up, revealing metallic laser turrets.
"Oh crap…" Asahi said, now shaking with fear.
"TAKE COVER!" Daichi shouted.
All of Karasuno quickly hid behind whatever's closest as the turrets fired red bolts in a rapid-fire fashion, like a machine gun.
"Kageyama! Can't you shoot them down?" Hinata asked.
"Not if I expose myself and get shot without knowing where they are!" Kageyama replied.
"Thanks for nothing…" Hinata thought, deadpanned.
Yamaguchi carefully eyed for a weakness while hiding with Tsukishima behind a sturdy tall pillar. Using keen sight, he sees something that might work: the control panel near the door to the next room.
"I think there might be a way to turn these things off. But I'll need some cover." Yamaguchi thought.
"Can tell what you're thinking." Tsukishima said, guessing what his best friend was thinking.
Yamaguchi smiled.

The turrets continued to fire rapidly as Karasuno's cover starts to lose ground.
"We can't keep this up!" Yachi hollered.
"There as to be a way through…" Kiyoko said.
"We got this!" Tsukishima and Yamaguchi hollered in unison.
Hinata, Yachi, Kageyama, Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Ennoshita and Kiyoko saw Tsukishima and Yamaguchi making a B-line for the turrets.
"WHAT ARE THOSE TWO DOING?!" Hinata, Yachi, Kageyama, Daichi, Sugawara, Asahi, Nishinoya, Tanaka, Ennoshita and Kiyoko thought in unison.
The two middle blockers ran while dodging the lasers the best they can. Tsukishima acted as the shield, blocking some that they haven't dodged and reflected the lasers.
While Yamaguchi, made his moment as the spear, threw said weapon in a way akin to a jump float serve that made it's way to the control panel with enough force to pierce through, destroying the machine.
The turrets soon shut off immediately, saving Karasuno from doom.
Tsukishima and Yamaguchi smiled and gave each other a fist bump.
"YOU BEAUTIFUL BASTARDS!" Tanaka shouted, galloping on the two first years as Hinata, Yachi, Nishinoya, Daichi, Sugawara and Asahi joined in.
Kageyama, Ennoshita and Kiyoko smiled.

In his throne room, Basara grew irritated.
A chuckling sound was heard as Basara turned to see Master Saru, having regained consciousness to mock Basara's failed attempts.
"As always, you underestimate those children, this world or not." Master Saru said.
"Glad to see you're making a joke, old man. But that joke will die when my elite squad takes them out." Basara explained.
Master Saru's eyes widened.
"He doesn't mean…!" Master Saru thought.
"Leoblade. Take your comrades and make preparations." Basara explained.
"As you wish, Lord Basara." Leoblade said, kneeling on the left of Basara's throne (though his figure isn't shown as he is currently in the shadows) before making his leave.

The team soon reached another conundrum: five separate paths.
"Is this another trap?" Tanaka asked.
"No. Most likely an attempt to separate us." Tsukishima replied.
"We'll have to split into five separate groups." Daichi said.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Sugawara asked.
"We'll be waisting if we stay together going through all of them one at a time." Daichi replied.
"So we should go into two groups of three, and three groups of two." Kiyoko explained.
Tanaka and Nishinoya immediately attempted to go with Kiyoko in one of the entrances, but Daichi held the two back by their collars.
"I'll decide who goes with who." Daichi said.

"We demand a do-over!" Tanaka and Nishinoya hollered in unison, not happy with their choice as their group comprised of the two of them and Ennoshita currently in the entrance to the far left.
"It was Daichi-san's choice. Not my fault you two were gonna pick Shimizu-senpai the first chance you got." Ennoshita explained, in an exasperated manner.
"But we would have no problem protecting Kiyoko-san with our lives!" Nishinoya hollered, comically crying.
"If that little shit does anything to her…" Tanaka said, gritting his teeth.
Ennoshita sighed.
"Hope you're having an easier time than me, Kageyama." Ennoshita thought.
The three second-years were unaware there's a bird-like humanoid watching them from the ceiling.

Kageyama sneezed as he felt being mentioned by Ennoshita. Walking next to him was Kiyoko as they were walking through the hallway from the entrance to the right near the center.
"Are you okay, Kageyama-kun?" Kiyoko asked.
Kiyoko stepped a little close to Kageyama if he wasn't feeling well. Unfortanetly for him, he was blushing red.
"Y-Yeah…" Kageyama said.
Kiyoko blinked for two seconds before giggling, surprising the setter.
"Did she just laughed?!" Kageyama thought.
Watching the two from the shadows was a wolf-like samurai humanoid growling lowly as it scratched the wall next to it.

Going through the hallway from the entrance to the left near the center were Tsukishima and Yamaguchi.
"This feels weird, Tsukki. Like we're in a role-playing video game." Yamaguchi explained.
"We're not in a video game, Yamaguchi." Tsukishima said.
"Sorry, Tsukki." Yamaguchi said.
A slithering noise was made in the hallway several meters away from the two first years, revealing to be a snake-like creature with saliva dripping down from it's tongue and teeth.

Going through the hallway of the far right were the third-year trio of Daichi, Sugawara and Asahi.
"I sure hope your choice of teams were good, Daichi." Asahi said.
"Why's that?" Daichi asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh, I mean, like, uh…" Asahi replied, stuttering.
"Relax, Asahi. Daichi knows you didn't mean it too salty." Sugawara commented.
"I know…" Asahi muttered.
Daichi sighed.
Watching them from the ceiling was a jackal-like humanoid, while behind one of the walls was a large elephant-like humanoid gripping the wall until it cracked.

In the hallway coming from the center of the five paths, it was Hinata and Yachi.
Yachi was staying close to Hinata for comfort, but can't shake the strange feeling in her heart whenever she's near him.
"Why do I keep having this feeling? It hurts a bit, but makes me at ease when Hinata's around me." Yachi thought.
She then remembered what he said a few hours when they fought Basara the first time, defending her when Basara called her worthless, but Hinata countered angrily and called her amazing.
"He called me 'amazing'. I'm just a Villager B, but Hinata always believes I can be more when I got out of my way for him and the club." Yachi thought.
Smiling, Yachi began to smile brightly.
"I guess… this is love." Yachi thought.
Hinata was feeling some kind of similar feeling whenever he's around Yachi. Like Mother Nature is trying to keep him back to Earth than let him fly high.
"Man… why do I feel so weird whenever I'm alone with Yachi-san. It's so… warm." Hinata thought.
Hinata suddenly sensed something and quickly moved Yachi to the side, which soon revealed to be several kunai thrown near their feet (which would've hit Yachi hadn't Hinata move her out of the way in time).
Yachi shrieked.
"As expected, your reaction time is impressive." Leoblade commented, coming down from the ceiling with his sword drawn.
Once revealed in the light, he is an anthropomorphic lion with gold fur, a golden brown mane, brown eyes, dressed in red and black samurai-like armor with a dark red long sash, and wielding a katana with a gold rectangular tsuba and light red cloth wrapping on the handle.
Hinata and Yachi were surprised.
"A TALKING, WALKING LION?!" Hinata and Yachi thought in unison.
"Prepare yourselves." Leoblade said.
"Because your lives are forfeit in the name of Lord Basara!" Leoblade hollered.

Soon enough, several of the other shadowy figures made their appearances to each Karasuno group one-by-one, ready for battle.

Basara grinned in an evil manner.
"Those brats are about to get a reminder of the Red Dragons!" Basara hollered.
Next time: Chapter 4 - Dragons of Red.
A friend asked if this is going to be a short story, and I said no. This is gonna be a bit longer because Basara isn't the only enemy to fight! Why? Because he's got the elite of the Red Dragons that each member have beef with Karasuno, and each of them are anthropomorphic animals like Master Saru and Basara!
Also, love the special attacks used since they were from Holy World Adventures, and I thought it'd be fun to use them.
