Thechaosmaster: Well, here is another chapter by yours truly.

Blossom: Four chapters in three days? That has to be a new record for you, Chaos.

Chaos: You kidding me? Brave New Journey, I was able to write the first, like, sixteen chapters in a week. While I was still in high school. This is nothing. Now, you may find this one, a little, different. That's because it is entirely told from Chara's POV.

Blossom: Why is that, boss?

Chaos: Well, I kinda want each chapter to be told from a different POV, but because I thought of this while writing the second part of the Ruins, I decided that, I would have to do these first few chapters different. So, starting from Frisk's POV it starts out in the Prologue, and goes to Ruins Pt 1. Then in Ruins Pt 2, it changes perspective multiple times. For Snowdin Pt 1 and 2, it will be Chara's. Then, from Waterfall, onward, it will go Frisk's POV for one chapter, back and forth between Chara and Frisk for another, and finally Chara for an entire chapter, and that is how it will be.

Red: Hmm, that seems, kinda brilliant, boss.

Chaos: Well, it is different from any of my other stories. But, seriously, leave a Review at the end of this chapter, letting me know if there are any Easter Eggs in this story. Also, as a side note, this entire story was written while I played Undertale on the Xbox One, so there might not be a lot of easter eggs to Gaster that I will be able to see, if ever. Anyways, Read, Review, Fav, and Follow. We'll see you at the bottom.

Red: Thechaosmaster does not own the rights to Undertale or its Characters. They all belong to Toby Fox, Temmie, and Co. Chaos only owns the small changes to the story.

Chapter 3 Snowdin Pt 1: Skele-Bros, Doggo's and Snowmen.

Chara's POV

I watch as mom slowly walked out of the room, and I couldn't hold back the tears that fell, it wasn't fair. Not to me, not to mom, and certainly to Frisk. 'What would my life be like if I didn't consume those Buttercups? Would I have lived a long, human life? Would I have found love? Or, would I have been alone forever, kicked out of the Dreemurr household for being human?'

I shook my head, wanting to get rid of those annoying thoughts, I then turned to Frisk, who seemed to have been waiting patiently for me, I smiled gratefully at her, and she smiled back, "Sorry about that, Frisk."

Frisk shook her head and said, "No, I understand, you needed a moment to say goodbye, it's only natural to want to say goodbye to someone you love, Chara."

Hearing that brought a smile to my face, then I pointed to the door and asked, "Well, this is it. There's no turning back once we pace through these doors, are you sure you want to go?"

Frisk closed her eyes and took some deep breaths, before slowly opening them up and said, "No, but I HAVE to go. I want to find out what happened to the other children who fell down here, and I want to find a way to free the monsters. I…WE can't do that if we stay here, Chara."

I nodded, agreeing with this, then I said, "Well, let's do this thing, you ready, partner?"

"As ready as I'll ever be, partner." Frisk said as she walked up to the large, double doors that had the Delta Rune etched onto them, and slowly pushed the large doors open, and we soon found ourselves standing in a long hallway, we started walking down the hall, when I turned to Frisk and I said, "I think mom figured out that I was with you, Frisk."

Frisk looked at me in shock and she asked, "She saw you!?"

I shook my head and I said, "No, before she left, I hugged her, and told her that I promised to look after you. I don't know if she heard me or not, but I know that she had to have felt me. My arms never went through her, they wrapped around her like I wasn't a ghost."

Frisk looked up at me, a smile beaming brightly as she said, "Chara, that's awesome! That could mean that you could eventually be seen or even HEARD by others while we're down here! Aren't you excited?"

I wasn't certain. I mean, I would like to be able to be seen by others, but I didn't deserve it. "I'm…not certain, Frisk." She looked like she wanted to convince me, but I shook my head and said, "Let's keep moving, Frisk. We shouldn't stick around, who knows WHO could show up?"

Frisk nodded, knowing that Flowey could show up at any moment, it was best to leave while we were still in the clear. But, it seemed that luck was not on our side, because once we left the long hallway, we found ourselves in a place very similar to the room where we first ran into Flowey, he must have noticed us, because he gave us a very creepy smile as he said, "Clever. Verrrryyy clever. You think you're really smart, don't you?"

He then gave us a very dark chuckle as he said, "In this world, kill or be killed. So you were able to play by your own rules." His face then twisted into something dark, and nightmarish as he mockingly said, "You spared the life of a single person. Heh heh heh… I bet you feel REALLY great. You didn't kill anybody, this time."

Me and Frisk looked at one another and asked, "This time?" Okay, I know that this flower is psychotic, but I think it's a few flowers short of a garden.

"But what will you do if you meet a relentless killer? You'll die and you'll die, and you'll die. Until you tire of trying." Flowey said in a dark chuckle.

"How many times does this flower think you can die, Frisk? I mean, I know that Determination SOULs can defy death, but the way this guy had said that, it was like he knew something we didn't." I told Frisk, feeling like something was up.

"What will you do then?" Flowey asked Frisk, and we watched as his face twisted once more into that nightmarish grin as he asked, "Will you kill out of frustration? Or will you give up entirely on this world… and let ME inherit the power to control it?"

Frisk stood defiantly against Flowey as she said, "No! I refuse to kill anyone, nor will I give up on fulfilling my promise to help the monsters. And I CERTAINLY won't allow someone as cruel as YOU have your way with anything, you twisted little flower."

I had to say, I was very impressed at Frisks response, so much so, that I glared at Flowey and, even though he can't hear or see me, I still decided to say, "Yeah! What she said! You're nothing but a selfish, self-centered and despicable little flower!"

But all Flowey seemed to do is laugh darkly as he said, "FOOL! I am the prince of this world's future. Don't worry, my little monarch, my plan isn't regicide. This is SO much more interesting." And once more he showed us that twisted face of his, before laughing like a maniac, and vanishing underground.

Me and Frisk looked at one another, and I knew that this would not be the last time we see Flowey, but for some reason, there was something about Flowey that just felt, wrong. Like there was something missing. Shaking my head, I turned to Frisk and asked, "Hey, you okay, kiddo? Flowey didn't scare you too much, did he?"

Frisk shook her head and said, "No, not really. But, that thing he said about me dying again and again, what do you think he meant by that, Chara?"

I shook my head and said, "I don't know. Besides what I have already told you about Determined SOULs being able to cheat death, but it seemed like Flowey was talking about something else entirely. And what that is, I have no idea."

When we stepped out of the door, we found ourselves in a snowy forest, I turned to Frisk and asked, "Are you going to be fine, Frisk? It does seem very cold out here."

Frisk gave me a small smile as she said, "I'll be fine, Chara. Nothing to worry about."

I smiled softly at Frisk, until I looked up at the pile of snow on Frisk's left and saw something flash. Curiously, I floated up to the snow poff and saw something, "…!? Frisk, there's a camera hidden in the bushes!"

Frisk ran over to me and saw the camera. She then seemed a little nervous before looking into the camera silently, before she calmed herself down and said, "To whoever is watching me, p-please be mindful of when you're wa-watching me. I don't want to feel like someone is watching over me all the time. Thank you."

She then proceeded to walk away from the camera, and I followed after her, once we were far enough away, I turned to her and asked, "Why did you do that, Frisk? You could have told them not to watch you period. What if the ones watching you are like the people from your village?"

Frisk smiled lightly as she said, "There is a slight possibly of that happening, but I don't think they mean any harm. After all, it could just be a security measure. Not something to worry too much about."

I sighed at Frisk, she seems to be just a little to trusting of others. "Just don't forget what mom had said, other kids have been killed before in the past. It is best if you stay on your guard."

Frisk silently nodded, before noticing a decent sized branch on the ground, Frisk tried to pick it up, but she couldn't. "It's a tough-looking branch. It's too heavy to pick up."

Frisk giggled at that, then she continued to walk down the snowy path, until we both heard a loud SNAP from behind us. We slowly turned back and saw that the branch that we had walked passed had been snapped in half. I turned to Frisk and asked, "Uh, please tell me that that was you who snapped that branch."

Frisk shook her head as she thought, 'How do you expect me to break a branch from over here? I'm not psychic. I don't have any powers like that.'

I was afraid of that, I then turned to her and said, "Let's just… let's just get moving, maybe a little quicker than before."

Frisk nodded, then she started moving a little bit quicker, I soon heard the sounds of footsteps behind us, and both me and Frisk quickly turned around to see who was behind us but found no one there. "Okay, there is someone following us, I don't know who, or why, but let's not wait here to find out."

Frisk nodded, then she started running at full sprint towards a bridge that was dead ahead, but just before she could cross it, she stopped dead in her place. "Frisk! Now's not the time to be staying still!" But I could see that she was frozen in fear, I slowly turned around and I saw someone walking towards Frisk, hidden in the shadows. "Frisk, you need to run!"

'I can't. I feel like my feet are frozen to the ground.' Frisk told me, fear clear in her thoughts.

I watched as the shadowed figure slowly walk up to Frisk, almost like death himself had come for her, and now I found that I couldn't move either, it was like I was being held in place by something very powerful.

It wasn't until the figure stopped right behind Frisk when it said, "Human. don't you know how to greet a new pal? turn around and shake my hand."

Frisk slowly turned around and slowly extended her hand, before grabbing the shadowed figure, I was about to scream for her to run, before the dead silence was broken by a loud sound that echoed through the forest.

Phfftflrflrflrflrpppfffwewewfllrrt

I blinked several times at what I had just heard, it wasn't until the figure spoke, which somehow allowed me to see him clearly, he was a short, rounded skeleton, black pants, a white shirt, and a blue overcoat, and…were those… pink bunny slippers? This guy was certainly different. And then, he spoke. "heheh… the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick…it's ALWAYS funny. Anyways, you're a human, right?"

Frisk slowly nodded as she said, "Ye-yeah, I'm human. My na-names Fr-Frisk." I could tell that Frisk was a little intimidated by the mysterious skeleton, and honestly, so was I. But, there was something about him that reminded me of someone, but I couldn't put my finger on who.

"that's hilarious. i'm sans. sans the skeleton. i'm actually supposed to be on watch for humans right now." The strange skeleton said to Frisk, seemingly in an overly friendly way. And me and Frisk had a chill run down our spines, it was almost like I was feeling my sins crawling down my back.

I noticed that Sans was looking down at Frisk's hands and realized what he was doing. 'He's checking for signs of dust. He thinks that Frisk might have been gaining LOVE while in the ruins!' That single thought terrified me, because it was like, he knew where to look, and what the signs might be.

"but…y'know… i don't really care about capturing anybody. now, my brother, papyrus… he's a human hunting FANATIC." Oh, great. Just peachy. That's the last thing we needed, a monster who loves hunting humans. "hey, actually, I think that's him over there." Sans pointed over across the bridge, and said, "i have an idea. go through this gate thingy. yeah, go right through. my brother made the bars too wide to stop anyone."

Sans then proceeded to lead Frisk over the bridge, where Sans said, "quick, behind that conveniently-shaped lamp." Sans then pointed to our left.

Frisk and I looked to where Sans was pointing and indeed we saw a conveniently shaped lamp, on that looked almost exactly like Frisk. I grabbed Frisk and said, "No time to waste, let's hide."

Frisk silently nodded, and she ran behind the lamp, that was when I heard the sound of snow crunching beneath feet, and I turned and saw a large, skeleton wearing, "What the hell is he wearing!?" It looked like some kind of terrible superhero outfit made out of stuff that he found lying around his room!

Before I could speak, Sans calmly said, "sup. bro?"

That was when Sans brother, who, if I recall, Sans called him Papyrus, spoke, "YOU KNOW WHAT'S UP.' BROTHER!" I had to blink at how different the brothers were, where Sans seemed to be lazy, and quite, Papyrus was loud and energetic, almost like a kid. "IT'S BEEN EIGHT DAYS AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T…RECALIBRATED. YOUR. PUZZLES! YOU JUST HANG AROUND YOUR STATION! WHAT ARE YOU EVEN DOING?!"

I'm telling you, these two are so different, that it surprises me that they're supposed to be brothers. I was about to breath in relief that Papyrus hasn't spotted Frisk yet, when Sans said, "staring at this lamp. it's really cool. do you wanna look?"

I glared at Sans, and in an enraged voice, yelled out, "WHAT!? WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE FRISK AWAY!?"

I then heard Frisk's soft voice speak out in my mind. 'Chara, I think Sans knows his brother better than we do. I doubt Sans would just give us away like that, if he knew Papyrus wouldn't listen to him.'

"Frisk, I think you might be a little too trusting sometimes. Don't you worry he might turn on you, like, at all?" There was something about Sans that just, rubs me the wrong way, but I don't know what.

That was when Papyrus' voice yelled out, "NO! I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THAT! BESIDES, YOU ALREADY TRICKED ME WITH THAT HUMAN SHAPED LAMP BEFORE! THE LAST TIME I FELL FOR THAT ONE, UNDYNE ALMOST USED ME AS TARGET PRACTISE! WHAT IF A HUMAN COMES THROUGH HERE!?" I watched as Papyrus began stomping his feet in frustration, like a kid having a temper tantrum.

Ah, so that's how it is. Papyrus ain't big on brains, but, that must mean he has a massive heart. "I WANT TO BE READY! I WILL BE THE ONE! I MUST BE THE ONE! I WILL CAPTURE A HUMAN! THEN, I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS… WILL GET ALL THE THINGS I UTTERLY DESERVE! RESPECT… RECOGNITION… I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO JOIN THE ROYAL GUARD!" Papyrus said while posing, and, wait, there's no wind over here, how is his scarf blowing in the wind, if there's no wind to begin with!?

"PEOPLE WILL ASK, TO, BE MY, 'FRIEND?' I WILL BATHE IN A SHOWER OF KISSES EVERY MORNING." The overly excited skeleton said, as if he were already certain that it would happen.

"hmm…" Sans started, with a hand on his chin bone. "maybe this lamp will help you."

I glared at Sans and yelled out, "FOR FUCKS SAKE! STOP TRYING TO GIVE FRISK AWAY!"

But instead of anyone reacting to me, Papyrus began stomping his feet as he said, "SANS! YOU ARE NOT HELPING! YOU LAZYBONES! ALL YOU DO IS SIT AND BOONDOGGLE! YOU GET LAZIER AND LAZIER EVERY DAY! ! !"

Sans simply chuckled as he said, "hey, take it easy. i've gotten a ton of work done today." Oh, no. He's about to make a joke isn't he? "a skele-ton." He said with a wink, as he turned to face AWAY from me and Frisk, and I floated in front of him to see that he was winking. WINKING!

This caused Papyrus to yell out, "SANS!"

"come on. you're smiling." Sans said while glancing towards me, I swear, I thought he was looking right at me, but his expression never changed.

Then Papyrus folded his arms as he said, "I AM AND I HATE IT! *SIGH*… WHY DOES SOMEONE AS GREAT AS ME… HAVE TO DO SO MUCH JUST TO GET SOME RECOGNITION…"

"wow, sounds like you're really working yourself…" Sans started, and I could feel the terrible joke heading our way.

"Don't say it, Sans. Don't you dare say it." I said as I knew where this was going, and I didn't like it.

Sans then winked as he said, "down to the bone." And I groaned in annoyance at him. He then turned to the left again, closed his eye sockets, somehow, and shrugged his shoulders, almost as if he were expecting an audience to start laughing at him.

"UGH!" Papyrus said in disgust. "I WILL ATTEND TO MY PUZZLES… AS FOR YOUR WORK… PUT A LITTLE MORE, 'BACKBONE' INTO IT! NYEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHE!" Papyrus then walked away, but before I could breathe a sigh of relief, he returned with one final, "HEH!"

And with that, the coast was clear, and Sans said, "okay, you can come out now."

I turned and watched as Frisk walked out from behind the lamp, holding her stomach and had a strained face, I was about to get worried, when she fell over on the ground and started laughing like a madwoman. Sans smiled softly at the kid and said, "at least someone finds my jokes, rib tickling. hmm?"

Frisk was starting to breath hard when she said, "No more! No more. I can't breathe! That was too funny!"

Sans smiled as he said, "always a pleasure to get a few laughs outta people. but, seriously, you oughta get going. he might come back. and if he does…" I was starting to sweat at what he might say next, that was, however, until he winked and said, "…you'll have to sit through more of my hilarious jokes."

Frisk began laughing again as she said, "I guess you really know how to get people's bones, rattled. Huh, Sans?"

I swear, I saw Sans perpent grin get wider as he said, "oh, you have no idea, kid. i am really humerus. tibia honest."

At that, Frisk began laughing harder, as she said, "Well, I oughta get going, before I become your boneified apprentice."

Sans was chuckling at this, then he said, "you're not bad, kid. do you play any instruments, by any chance?" Frisk shook her head, but Sans seemed to smile, as he said, "shame, i was hoping to get someone to play with me. i play a mean trombone."

This caused Frisk to laugh even louder, and I couldn't help the small smile that was on my face. "well, i think we wasted enough time telling bad puns. go on, get going. don't want to keep papyrus waiting, or he might be a little more, rattled, then he already is." Frisk laughed at this, then she waved goodbye before heading off, but she was stopped by Sans. "actually, hey… hate to bother ya, but can you do me a favor?"

Frisk nodded as she asked, "Sure, what do you need? Besides another jokester for your stand up comedy act?"

Sans chuckled at that, then he said, "while that may be fun, i was thinking… my brother's been kinda down lately… he's never seen a human before. and seeing you might just make his day." I kinda grew worried about Frisks safety, after all, it seemed like Papyrus was really into capturing humans. But then Sans said, "don't worry. he's not dangerous. even if he tries to be. thanks a million. for both the bad puns, and for helping me out. i'll be up ahead."

We then watched as Sans walked back to the Ruins door, me and Frisk shared a look, before turning back and seeing that Sans was already gone. We shrugged and proceeded to head in the direction that Papyrus went, and we found another Save Point, when Frisk touched it, I said, 💥"The convenience of that lamp fills you with determination."💥

Frisk looked at me with that playful smile of hers, and I knew that she was enjoying my moments as much as I was. I then noticed a box in the middle of the crossroads, with a sign on it, "Hey, Frisk, over there."

Frisk looked at the sign and walked up to it, seeing how Frisk didn't know the monster language, I said, "This is a box."

Frisk gave me the expression that says, 'No shit.' then I continued, "You can put an item inside, or take an item out. The same box will appear later. so don't worry about coming back. Sincerely, a box lover."

Frisk looked just about as confused as I was, when she carefully opened the box, probably thinking that it was a trap of some kind. When we opened it up, we found some kind of leather glove. Frisk pulled it out and I said, "Tough Glove- Weapon ATK 5. A worn orange leather glove. For five-fingered folk."

Frisk looked down at the glove and she said, "There's a name on the inside of the glove." She pulled out the tag and, in an almost whisper, she said, "Triston Dinklage." Frisks eyes widened as she said, "Chara! This belongs to one of the missing kids!"

My eyes widened in shock, then I softly said, "So, now we know that at least Amanda and Triston really did end up down here. Then, that means that mom was telling the truth, and I can almost be certain that the boy who stayed with mom for an entire year was not Amanda or Triston, so that means…"

"That means that at least three of the reported missing kids have fallen down here in the past. I guess those ghost stories about Mt. Ebott were true." Frisk said sadly. "Nathen, Triston, Amanda, Mike, Justin, and Tiana…those poor kids." Frisk looked like she was ready to cry.

I floated next to Frisk, knowing that I couldn't let her think of those horrible thoughts, I said, "Hey, we don't know the full story yet. For all we know, they could have just dropped their items while they were on their way to New Home."

Frisk sniffled a little bit, before saying, "I hope so, Chara. I really hope so."

It was quite for us as we proceeded through the snow-covered trail, when we saw Sans and Papyrus standing ahead of us. "Hey, wait a minute. How did Sans get here before us? He walked in the complete OPPOSITE direction from us."

'Well, maybe he knew of a shortcut that we didn't see?' Frisk suggested, but I didn't believe it, there was something fishy about Sans, but I couldn't tell what.

As we got closer, we heard Papyrus say, "SO, AS I WAS SAYING ABOUT UNDYNE."

We watched as Papyrus finally noticed Frisk, before turning to Sans, who turned to us, then he turned back to Papyrus, who turned back to us, and went like this for some time, Sans turning to us, while Papyrus turned to Sans, back and forth, and each time they got faster and faster, before they started spinning in circles, before stopping to look at Frisk, before turning their backs on her.

I turned to Frisk and said, "Well, at least they're entertaining."

Frisk lightly giggled as we heard Papyrus said, "SANS! OH MY GOD! IS THAT… A HUMAN!?"

Sans and Papyrus then turned back to Frisk, then Sans turned back to Papyrus and said, "uhhhh… actually, i think that's a rock."

Me and Frisk looked behind us and we saw a small white rock in the middle of the pathway. "That's odd, I didn't see a rock there when we were walking here. Where did it come from?" I asked no one in particular.

Then Papyrus looked to Sans and said, "OH."

"hey, what's that in front of the rock?" Sans asked his brother, making Frisk the center of attention once more.

Papyrus had a surprised expression on his face as he asked, "OH MY GOD!" Turning back to Sans, he asked, "IS… IS THAT A HUMAN?"

"yes." Sans said simply, as if he was talking about the weather.

"OH MY GOD!" Papyrus yelled out in surprise, causing me to cover my ears in pain.

"Ugh, why does it sound like this guy's voice is permanently stuck on uppercase? Yo, Papyrus, tone down your voice!"

But, as always, no one can hear me, "SANS! I FINALLY DID IT! UNDYNE WILL… I'M GONNA… I'LL BE SO… POPULAR! POPULAR! POPULAR! …AHEM. HUMAN! YOU SHALL NOT PASS THIS AREA! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL STOP YOU! I WILL THEN CAPTURE YOU! YOU WILL BE DELIVERED TO THE CAPITAL! THEN… THEN!" He then looked to the side, as if he wasn't really certain of the next step in his mission.

But I knew at least, I had a small inkling of what would happen, "Chances are, you probably don't want to find out, Frisk." I said, not liking how things have changed since I died. Monsters hunting humans, then being delivered to the capital? Not a good sign.

"I'M NOT SURE WHAT'S NEXT. IN ANY CASE! CONTINUE…ONLY IF YOU DARE!" He then walked off, while laughing, "NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!"

Sans then turned to face Frisk and he said, "well, that went well. don't sweat it, kid. i'll keep an eyesocket out for ya." After that, Sans walked away, leaving me feeling, uneasy about him.

After deciding to follow after Sans, we saw what looked to be a guard station, poorly constructed, and looked like it might fall apart if someone just so happened to sneeze on it. I noticed something. "There's some kind of narration on this cardboard box. Oh, man, it's Papyrus, hold on, let me try to sound like him. Ehem. YOU OBSERVE THE WELL-CRAFTED SENTRY STATION. WHO COULD HAVE BUILT THIS, YOU PONDER… I BET IT WAS THAT VERY FAMOUS ROYAL GUARDSMAN! (NOTE: NOT YET A VERY FAMOUS ROYAL GUARDSMAN.)"

I'll admit, it wasn't a good impression, but it seemed like Frisk had something on her mind as she looked at the station and said, "It's kinda sad."

"What is, Frisky? The fact that the thing is terribly built? Or the fact that Papyrus writes like he's always yelling?" I asked the young girl.

Frisk shook her head and said, "No, it's kinda sad that, someone who seems like a great person, and someone who would likely be able to make friends easily, seems so desperate to have friends, that he feels he must capture humans, without really knowing what happens after they're captured." She placed her hand on the cardboard station, almost as if she was feeling what emotions were put in while making it. "I feel like… like I want to help him feel better. I know that Sans asked for me to help out, but now I want to try to be Papyrus's friend."

Oh, Frisk. Despite how you were treated above ground, you seem to be the most caring person I have ever met.

I placed a gentle hand on Frisk's shoulder and said, "Hey, if you really do want to be his friend, then, go right ahead. I think that he would be extremely happy to hear that. So, go out and become the greatest friend that Papyrus has ever had."

Frisk smiled brightly, as she jumped on me hugged me tightly, before letting go of me, and blushed deeply. And she wasn't the only one blushing. She then proceeded to walk towards the right, while she did, I was thinking, 'C'mon, Chara. She's just a kid. Sure, she's overly flirty, but you were probably the first human to not be disgusted by her being gay. So, of course she would feel comfortable around you. But you're dead, it wouldn't be fair for her to try to do the impossible in bringing you back to life, just so she could have you, someone who destroyed her own adopted family's lives. You killed yourself, got your adopted brother killed, and could have been the one who broke up your adopted parents. Every time you try to do the right thing, it ends up destroying someone's life."

I watched as Frisk got into a FIGHT with an Ice Cap, and was able to steal his hat, before complementing that he still looked fine. Once the fight ended, I thought, 'She's a kind and gentle soul, it's like she was a monster herself, not a violent, genocidal monster, but one that should have been made of magic, and not flesh and bone.'

That oh so great plan we had wasn't worth the price. 'And the only reason why it went wrong was because of me. Because I wanted to bring my body to the golden flowers that bloomed back home. That's why I can't allow myself to get close to anyone ever again. Because I would end up hurting them. I did the crime, and now I am paying for it.'

I noticed that Frisk was looking at me worriedly, and I asked, "What's up, Frisk?"

"I was going to ask you the same question. I had to deal with Snowdrake myself and figure out that I needed to laugh at his jokes before I could spare him. Are you okay?" She asked, seemingly worried about me.

I sighed, knowing that I was worrying Frisk too much, I smiled softly and said, "Sorry, I had a lot on my mind. Now then, what do you say we get moving?"

We walked into the next clearing where we found another sign. "Absolutely NO MOVING!" I said, doing my duty of reading the signs for Frisk.

Frisk looked at me and asked, "What does that mean, exactly?"

I couldn't tell her, because I didn't understand myself, "Well, let's just tread carefully, Frisk. Who knows what we'll find?"

Frisk nodded, then she proceeded to carefully walk up to the guard station that was nearby, until we saw a literal Guard Dog poke his head up and said, "Did something move? Was it my imagination? I can only see moving things."

"Ah, cerebral akinetopsia, more commonly referred to as Motion Blindness. Frisk, be careful!" I said, giving Frisk my warning about this Doggo.

We watched as the Guard Doggo looked back and forth before saying, "If something WAS moving… For example, a human… I'll make sure it NEVER moves again!"

And at that, Frisk was drawn into another FIGHT. "Doggo blocks the way!"

I wonder how Frisk was going to handle this one, I decided to clue her in on BLUE Attacks. "Frisk, be careful, and if you see an attack that was colored blue, whatever you do, DON'T move. Do you understand me?"

Frisk simply gave me a twitch in her eyes, to let me know that she was aware of what I had said. She then proceeded to Check Doggo, and I said, "DOGGO – ATK 13 DEF 7. Easily excited by movement. Hobbies include: squirrels."

Frisk giggled at this, before she saw a large blue dagger coming at her, and she froze where she stood, allowing the dagger to safely pass by her. Once the attack passed by her, I said, "Doggo can't seem to find anything."

I saw a light bulb appear above Frisks head, as she carefully reached into her satchel, before pulling out a small stick, and waved it in front of Doggo, causing him to lock eyes with it, Frisk then quickly threw the stick to the side of her, before once more freezing in place. I watched as the Doggo chased after the stick, and bringing it back to Frisk, who the Doggo still couldn't see. This went on for a while. "You threw the stick and the dog ran to get it. You played fetch for a while."

I watched as Frisk kept throwing the stick, freezing, and watching as Doggo chased after the stick, bring it back, before launching his BLUE attack. Knowing that we could be here for a while, I floated up to Frisk before saying, "Hey, Frisky, I think now would be a good time to SPARE the Doggo. We do have places to be, you know that, right?"

Frisk blushed at being reminded, then she carefully selected the MERCY button, before choosing SPARE. "YOU WON! You earned 0 EXP and 30 gold." I said, while holding back the small laughter that I had felt coming.

We watched as Doggo's eyes darted back and forth before saying, "A stick appeared out of nowhere, then disappeared. Was it a ghost stick? Did I just return it to the afterlife?" Me and Frisk had to hold back our giggles caused by this dogs question. "I need some dog treats to think about this." Then he dived back under the station.

We walked by the station, and we saw burnt dog treats. "Does Doggo smoke dog treats? I don't think that's healthy."

As we walked into the next sector, we found Sans standing there doing nothing, Frisk walked up to him and asked, "Hey, Sans! What are you up to?"

Sans shrugged his shoulders before saying, "eh, nothing much. hey, here's something important to remember. my brother has a very special attack. if you see a blue attack, don't move and it won't hurt you."

Frisk rolled her eyes at Sans and said, "A little late for that lesson."

"here's an easy way to keep it in mind." Sans said, with that permanent smile forever plastered on his face. "imagine a stop sign. when you see a stop sign, you stop, right? stop signs are red. so imagine a blue stop sign instead. simple, right? when fighting, think about blue stop signs."

We walked away from Sans, feeling more confused that we were before talking to him. As we walked away, Frisk noticed a sign in the middle of sign, and she was heading towards it, when out of nowhere, a cute looking dog with a happy smile on his face jumped right in front of us.

"Lesser Dog appears." I said in quick surprise.

Frisk quickly checked it, and I said, "Lesser Dog – ATK 12 DEF 2. Wields a stone dogger made of pomer-granite."

Frisk dodged an annoying looking dog, before she turned to Lesser Dog and I said, "Lesser Dog cocks its head to one side."

Frisk simply raised her hand, when the neck of Lesser Dog grew slightly. "You barely lifted your hand and Lesser Dog got excited." I watched as Frisk dodged Lesser Dog's attack, before walking up to Lesser Dog once more, before going to try petting him once more, and just like before, his neck extended. "You lightly touched the Dog. It's already overexcited…"

Frisk seemed to be having too much fun, because she continued to petting Lesser Dog over and over, and his neck continued to grow larger and larger.

"You pet the Dog. It raised its head up to meet your hand."

"You pet the Dog. It was a good Dog."

"You pet the Dog. Its excitement knows no bounds."

"Critical pet! Dog excitement increased."

"You have to jump up to pet the Dog."

Wait a minute. "Did I just hear a motor rev up?" I asked, not knowing what was happening.

Frisk then simply looked at the Dog, and its neck extended. "You don't even pet it. It gets more excited." Did I just hear the sound of a plane taking off? "What's happening here?"

I looked to Lesser Dog and said, "Lesser Dog shows no signs of stopping…and neither do you."

Over and over, Frisk keeps petting Lesser Dog, and Lesser Dog's neck keeps extending. "There is no way to stop this madness."

"Lesser Dog enters the realm of the clouds. And we're underground, they're shouldn't even be clouds down here!"

Frisk tried calling out to Lesser Dog, but he couldn't be heard. "You call the Dog, but it is too late. It cannot hear you."

"…" I had no words as to explain what I was seeing now. Its neck had turned back down and was returning to the ground.

"You can reach Lesser Dog again."

"You pet Lesser Dog."

"Lesser Dog is lowering. Frisk, I think now would be a good time to SPARE the Dog." I told Frisk, but it seems like she was lost in her own little world now. So, I decided to continue narrating this madness.

"You pet Lesser Dog."

"You pet Lesser Dog."

"You pet Lesser Dog."

"You pet Lesser Dog. Frisk, c'mon, girl, you need to stop this. This has gone to far now." I said, trying to get Frisk to stop petting Lesser Dog.

"I'm not gonna keep doing this, Frisk. It has to stop, now!"

"It's possible that you may have a problem, Frisk."

"Frisk, you can stop now."

"Frisk, we're on a tight schedule. Can you please just SPARE the Lesser Dog and get moving, please?"

"…please stop this."

"Oh, Ree, I fear that this will never end."

"…"

"…"

"Frisk." I was forced to watch as Frisk continuously petted Lesser Dog, I was just an observer, and I had no way of stopping this madness. I saw that Lesser Dog's head was now in the ground. "Lesser Dog is unpettable but appreciate the attempt."

"Lesser Dog is learning to read." I blinked a few times before I asked, "Wait, what did I just say?" I think that we have become stuck in an infinite loop. "Frisk." I started hearing whining, then I said, "Lesser Dog is whining because it can't see you. Frisk, please stop."

"Frisk."

"Frisk.."

"Frisk…"

"…Frisk, stop this."

"Perhaps mankind was not meant to pet this much." I saw that Lesser Dog seemed to be staring at me, probably because dogs, and most animals in general are believed to be able see ghosts, so I simply waved at him and said, "Hello there."

"It continues."

"Frisk."

"Frisk. Frisk, Lesser Dog is questioning your choices, and so am I."

"Frisk. Stop, just please stop."

"Frisk."

"Lesser Dog is beyond your reach. Now please SPARE him." But Frisk continues to pet the dog.

"Really…"

"Lesser Dog has gone where no Dog has gone before."

"Frisk."

"Frisk."

"Frisk."

"Frisk."

"Frisk."

"Frisk, as your friend, I am asking you, no, I'm BEGGING you, please stop this! Show some MERCY."

"Frisk."

"Frisk."

"Frisk!"

Okay, I didn't want to have to do this but, I took a deep breath before yelling out as loud as I can, "FRISK!"

My loud voice made Frisk jump up in surprise, before she landed on her butt, and turned to me and asked, "Chara! What was that for?"

I pointed towards Lesser Dog and said, "I think you have allowed things to go a little too far, Frisky."

Frisk looked over to Lesser Dog and she gasped, "Oh, dear! What happened!?"

I shook my head and said, "I fear that you might have a serious problem, Frisk. Just SPARE the Lesser Dog already. And apologize to him for taking things too far."

Frisk turned to Lesser Dog and said, "I am so sorry, Lesser Dog. You were just so adorable, that I couldn't help myself. So, as my apology, I hereby SPARE you." And with that, Lesser Dog's head returned to normal, and the insanity of this fight has finally come to a close.

"YOU WON! You earned 0 EXP and 60 gold." I said, as Lesser Dog ran off somewhere. But I saw that it was insanely happy.

Frisk had this satisfactory smile on her face, and I said, "You really have a problem, don't you, Frisk?"

Frisk lightly blushed and she asked, "Would you be surprised if I told you that I like dogs?"

I looked at Frisk with a deadpan expression, before I asked, "Do you even remember what it is we have to do, Frisk?"

Frisk was silent for a moment, almost as if she actually did forget, before she chuckled awkwardly and said, "Sorry, Chara. I saw a cute dog, and my mind went blank."

I sighed in annoyance at this, but I decided that it wasn't worth the migraines, so, instead I pointed towards the sign and asked, "We were going to check out that, right?"

Frisk nodded silently, and with surprising grace, she skated over to the sign, where I approached it and said, "It says; North: Ice. South: Ice. West: Ice. East: Snowdin Town…and Ice."

Frisk, couldn't resist the small chuckle that came out of her lips as she said, "Wonder who wrote that one? Anyways, might as well see what's up North."

I nodded, and I followed her as she professionally skated over the ice, acting like a true dancer as she twirled in mid skate, before stopping right at the snowbank. When we finally reached the area that was up North, all we found was a mountains edge, and a single snowman.

At first that seemed all normal, but once Frisk appeared before the snowman, it talked. "Hello. I am a snowman."

Frisk didn't seem that surprised at the talking snowman, and after meeting a ghost bound to her SOUL, a psychotic killer flower, a motherly goat monster, a timid bedsheet ghost, a lazy skeleton with a knack for terrible bone puns, and a sort of, egotistical skeleton, a talking snowman seems normal around here.

"Hello, my names Frisk."

"Frisk? That's a nice name. Anyways, Frisk, I want to see the world…But I cannot move. If you would be so kind, Frisk, please…Take a piece of me and bring it very far away."

Frisk seemed to nod happily at that and said, "I would be honored to help you out, but, wouldn't your snow piece melt if it left in my bag, Mr. Snowman?"

The snowman began laughing as he said, "Ah, you must be new here, don't worry, Frisk. My snow is magical, so, it won't melt, not even in the hottest of weathers. You could even have it out while you are in the volcanic Hotlands, and it won't melt. You don't even need to take it out at any time. Just keep it in your bag, and I would be able to see the world while I am with you."

Frisk happily took a small piece of the snowman, and gently placed it in her bag, before bidding farewell to the snowman, as we headed towards the town, I turned to Frisk and said, "You sure know how to make friends with everybody you meet, Frisk. You sure are something special." Frisk blushed as she headed off into the next section of Snowdin's Forest.

Thechaosmaster: Well, here we have it, the next chapter for Undertale: Fates Intertwined. I hope you all enjoyed it. Yes, this one is shorter than the last one, but, I felt like this would be a good place to stop it, that way, the next chapter can have Puzzles, Dog Marriages, Japes and Dates. Will that be the chapters title? I have no fucking idea.

Red: I think the strangest part of this chapter was Lesser Dog.

Chaos: Yeah, but it was fun to write. Oh, yeah! What do you guys think of the way this story's POV switching? Should I have it as I said up top, or, after Snowdin Pt 2, have it change every other chapter? I really want to know. Well, see you all later. Have a great night, day, evening, or whenever you guys and girls, or non-binary readers are reading this.

Red: Goodnight and sleep tight.

CHAOS CONTROL!
