Not the Time

Chapter 4

The darkness was overwhelming and for a few moments I was frozen in disbelief, a person I thought I wound never have to face was suddenly closer then ever. I looked over at Ezra and Kanan just as the look of panic came over them as well, but it was nothing like how I was feeling.

"Vader's down there" Kanan said after a moment.

"what do we do?" Ezra asked

"we have to get our contact off Lothal, we can't let Vader find Ahsoka" Kanan replied, and I looked up sharply. Ahsoka? Ahsoka Tano was Fulcrum? As much as I didn't want to face Vader I knew Ahsoka might be my only ticket home.

"Then lets get Ahsoka out of there" I said suddenly, breaking the silence.

We landed a good ways away from the city hoping not to attract unneeded and desperately unwanted attention. Ezra, Sabine, Kanan and I took four speeder bikes to Lothal's main city to meet Fulcrum, while Hera stayed with the ship along with Chopper and Zeb. The city came into view and just before we reached it Kanan stopped us,

"Keep your comm links on and we'll split into pairs" He said, "Ahsoka should meet us in an alley near the square, I'll go with Sabine, Ezra go with Ava and contact us if you find her"

We entered the city, splitting into pairs and starting from opposite sides of the square. Ezra and I parked our bikes behind some crates in a back street and headed for the square hoping to keep a low profile. "so do we know exactly where we're meeting?" I asked.

"She couldn't give us her exactly location so we'll just have to keep our eyes open" Ezra answered. I nodded in response and we headed through the square checking the allies for Ahsoka. We stopped at an ally near the edge of the main square near the ship bay. I looked down the ally and I couldn't see anyone but I could feel someone there. We neared the end when I suddenly stopped and looked over my shoulder, standing there in a gray cloak was Ahsoka Tano. She looked older then he had looked in the holograms I seen of her but it was her none the less.

"Good to see you again Ezra" she said nodding to him, "And who might you be you oddly remind me of someone I used to know?" I hesitated for a moment unsure of how much she already knew at this point in time, but after all I did need her help.

"I'm Ava Skywalker and I guessing I remind you of Anakin" I said finally, "And no I'm not is daughter, I'm his granddaughter" Ahsoka stood there for a moment and then before she could answer and stormtrooper came around the corner,

"we have spotted the rebels, repeat we have rebel activity" the trooper said into his comm link.

"time to go" Ezra said, "we left our bikes back near square"

"they'll be coming from that way" Ahsoka cut in, "we should head towards the ship yard, we might be able to steal a ship form there" No one argued and we head out of the ally and avoided the imperial forces until we reached to door to the ship yard.

"Ezra door" Ahsoka said, igniting her silvery lightsabers to cover Ezra.

"Right" Ezra replied, beginning to cut through the door.

And then of course it gets worse.

The troopers feel back and an imperial transport landed and two figures emerged infighting red lightsabers. I didn't know who they where but it couldn't be good.

"Ahsoka Tano and Ezra Bridger we meet again" the women said. Ahsoka glanced over to me and then back to them seemingly trying to figure out if they knew who I was. "oh and who might you be?" the women asked.

"You're not going to find out, not today" Ahsoka said, quickly reversing her lightsabers and charging countering both her attacks. I glanced back to Ezra who was still cutting through the door,

"hurry" I said, as he continued cutting.

"I'm hurrying" he replied as the door feel off it's hinges. I looked over to Ahsoka who was still occupying the imperials before scanning the ship yard,

"Tie fighter" I said, turning to Ezra. He nodded and sprinted for the ship. I started walking back toward Ahsoka grabbing my lightsabers, but then I hesitated it would be better if the Empire didn't find out who I was. I reluctantly reattached my lightsabers to my belt, I would only get involved if it was really needed. I turned back around to see the Tie fighter slowly rise off the ground, oh really hope Ezra can fly that thing.

"I think I found a way to get rid of our problem" Ezra said through the comm link, and I immediately understood.

"Ahsoka!" I yelled, and she turned to look at me blocking the red sabers. The she quickly pushed them both backwards and leapt out of the way just as Ezra fired at the transport. Causing the the two red blades to be cut off from us by the wreckage. But no, we just couldn't get off that easy,

"lower your weapons Jedi there is no escaping" a voice said coming through the speaker of the two troop transports coming into view. Ahsoka quickly turned back to us,

"I'll draw them away, get out of here now! I find a way to meet up with you back at base" She said, turning a running in the opposite direction.

"Ahsoka!" I yelled after her.

"Ava come on she'll be fine trust me she's been through worse" Ezra said.

"Yeah I know" I muttered, as I reluctantly made my way back towards the Tie.

"Not so fast young Jedi we aren't finished just yet" said a mechanical voice from behind me, and my breath hitched as I turned to face the man who was once Anakin Skywalker. Vader.

Sorry again it's been a while with school starting to wrap up things have been pretty crazy and I've got a pretty busy weekend ahead of me as well.

Sorry this chapter is shorter I just wanted to update as soon as possible and even I don't know what happens next...yet. Anyway enjoy and hopefully I can get another chapter posted sometime in June because at that point school will be out and I'll have a bit more time to work on it. So yeah that's about it, til next time!
