SAM:
"Please Spirts don't take them from me!" Jacob says as he runs his hands through his hair. I place my hand on his shoulder to offer as much comfort as I can.
I look around the waiting room and see my pack is all worried for Bella's safety. We all know what will happen to Jacob if he loses his Bella. It will also be a very hard loss on the pack. Those two have been inseparable since before the imprint. When Jacob joined the pack we all hoped he would imprint on her so he wouldn't be miserable. The day he imprinted was a hard day. We picked up a leech sent in the woods and we all went after it. When we got there we did not expect to see Bella having a conversation with it. Jacob was freaking out and I had to alpha order him to stay put until I said so. When I ordered the attack, Jake ran at full speed to save her. Their eyes meet for a brief moment and thats when the imprint happened. We could not get him to shut up about all day. He kept on replying those images over and over again in his mind.
"Jake, breathe man! You wont lose them. They are in excellent hands." I pray to Sprits that they keep them safe.
A few minutes after Bella flat lined, we hear her heart start again. Jake lets out a shaky breath. I know he is waiting to hear the baby cry but that never comes. Not to long after the baby is born and is stable, we hear the doctor say to take her up to the NICU.
"Congrats man! You have a daughter." I said while clapping him on the back.
"I have a daughter." He says to no one.
A little while later we hear how much she weighs and my heart drops. I send a prayer up to the Sprits that she is strong and will pull through this. We hear the doctor tell the nurse she is headed to let Jake know what all went on.
"Remain calm." I say.
We hear the doctor getting closer. I keep my head down and whisper to Jake he could get up now. We all listen in as she goes over the surgery. She tells him he can bring one person up with him for now.
"Seth come on.'' He says.
While I was waiting to hear their footsteps heading back up, I felt eyes on me. I looked up and noticed her. She has blond hair but with blue underneath it and you can tell she has a tattoo sleeve on her right arm. I look up to see her face and the first thing I notice are the fullest lips I have ever seen. Those lips make me want to walk over to her and capture them with my own lips. I resist the urge for now. Her skin is tanned a nice light brown. I decide to take the chance and look into her eyes. They are the lightest of blue I have every seen. I see those gorgeous blue eyes meet my dull brown eyes and then it happened. I feel the million steal cables linking us together. I catch a glimpse of what our life could be like if she accepts the imprint and its truly amazing! I see us laying in the bed with her very heavily pregnant, a family picnic on the beach, and us watching our grandkids run around the yard. Those images make me yearn for that future. A future I thought would never be possible but now it is. A few seconds later she pulls her eyes from me and clears her throat. I notice all the guys are staring at us with their mouths open. Once they walk away, it begins from the guys and I cant help but to roll my eyes.
"About damn time! I told you this would happen eventually Welcome to the club man. Oh nobody tell their wife's. I want to see their face when they find out that out mighty Alpha has finally imprinted!" Paul says with a massive grin on his face.
" She does not look like your typical doctor but she is hot! To bad she is not a regular doctor or I would be "sick" all the time" Quil says with a wink. I fight the growl I feel building in the back of my throat.
"Well I'm happy for you man. You deserve this!" Jared says
"I don't know what to do though. First thing she is clearly younger than me and second you can tell she is from the south. And third she wouldn't be happy living in a small town like this. She is the type of doctor you have flown in to preform amazing surgeries." I sink into my chair and run my hands through my hair. I can't ask her to give up her life for me. My wolf is defiantly not settled right now.
"Dude breathe. You're gonna have to talk to her first. Don't go make decisions for her. She won't like that. Trust me I know!" Embry says.
He was right. I had to get to know her and have conversation about the imprint. I'm hoping it will go well. I can tell from her emotions she is confused right now.
"Sam she gave us an Alpha order." I heard Jacob and Seth say at the same time. The guys look around at each confused.
"What?!" we all say at the same time.
"She told us to wait out in the hall and we can't leave the hall now." Jake says.
"That's interesting. I will look into this later. Don't worry about it right now, just focus on your girls for now." I say.
Well thats strange. I will have to call the Elders later and discuss this with them. Maybe there is some thing in the archives about this. I can hear that they are in Bella's room now. I will ask the Elders if they know of something that will help them both. I'm glad Jake doesn't say anything to Bella about the imprint right now. She needs her rest to focus on getting better.
After a visit with Bella we hear Jake and Seth coming up with a plan so Jake could stay in the room with Bella and it worked. Seth and Lenox are making there way back to the waiting room. We all are shaking our heads at that kid. He decides to take it upon his self to find out information on her. Some of those questions are not the best though. When they get back into the waiting room I decide to introduce my self. As they walk closer to us, we all stand.
"They are both doing fine and y'all can come back tomorrow during normal visiting hour and see at least Isabella. Jacob is passed out asleep right now and I can tell all of y'all are tired. So go home and get some rest."
"Hi my name is Sam. Thank you for taking great care of them." I say to her and extend my hand to shake hers. As soon as our hands touch, I feel the force of the imprint.
"Hi I'm Dr. Lenox McCarty and you don't have to thank me."
"They are my family and you saved two of them tonight. We are going to host a BBQ in your honor for what you have done." I notice she is starring at me. Maybe she is not use to this.
"I can't accept that but thank you anyways." She says. I can tell she is stubborn.
"Nonsense you will attend. Have a good night." I say and remove my hand from hers. I turn around and start walking out the door.
"Man she is really sweet. She will fit in well!" Seth says with a lot of excitement.
"Good luck man. You going to need it. She is very stubborn." Paul says with a laugh.
I shake my head at him and make my way to the car. Once I'm there, I climb in. Nobody says another word on the ride to La Push. Once we are back at Rachael's and Paul's, I debate on if I want to go in. I guess its better to get this over with now instead of later.
"How's Bella and the baby?" everybody says at once.
"They are both doing good. The doctor had to deliver the baby because Bella flat lined." The ladies all gasped. Seth continued though. "They have a beautiful little girl. She weighs 1 pound exactly. She will be in the hospital for a while. We should be able to see Bella tomorrow as long as everything goes alright tonight." Seth says.
"I'm glad they are okay! Why didn't one of you call and let us know sooner. We were worried sick about them." Leah says while holding her 7 month old daughter.
"Well thats because something else happened tonight and its very exciting!" Paul says with grin.
"What?!" they all said. I couldn't help but glare at Paul. I planned on easing the ladies into this but I guess Paul had other plans.
"Sam finally imprinted and it was on the doctor." All the women stare at me with their mouth hanging open.
"Ladies its no big deal. Stop starring at me and close your mouth." I say while shaking my head
"No big deal? Of course it is Sam. You finally found her! What is she like?" Angela says.
"Ladies before you all continue to bombard him with questions, let him wrap his head around this first. You all will be able to see her tomorrow when we go up to visit." Jared says.
"The only information I'm willing to share is that her name is Lenox. Now I'm going home to go to bed. Goodnight everyone." I say as I'm walking out the door.
On the walk home I decide to call the Elders in the morning since its so late.
