"So... " Hub starts. "Anything else I should know about this place?"
Dr. Oliver shrugs, "In terms of history, the database should have the major stuff that's important for you to know. For the actual culture of the area since we're in this universe's AC/DC Town which is reportedly pretty majorly different from the games or your universe in structure even in the period that you were a NetNavi. So Lan and Mayl will be going with you and Percy to get you adjusted to this universe."
He holds a hand to an upset Lan and Mayl, "Stop, this next bit is about a project that involves you two without your input. Orders of both your parents."
"I know there are plenty of other worlds where I or people I know are considered fictional, but it's still weird to hear it discussed out loud," Hub admits.
Dr. Oliver shrugs, "Meh, you get used to it after getting sucked into twelve in like three years."
The door opens and in steps a tall man wearing a t-shirt that was half orange and half royal purple with a black leather jacket over his goldenrod denim jeans with a pair of sea-green combat boots, "Hello, Hub Hikari?"
Hub blinks at the odd choice of colors but tries to be polite.
"Yes. And you are?"
The person offers a hand, "Perseus 'Percy' Jackson. Although call me Percy. I am your guide around the world. For now, we're sticking to AC/DC Town until Londo Bell gets the command figured out."
Hub shakes his hand. "Ah yes. The others mentioned you."
Percy smiles at him, "No worries, I get that my color scheme is odd. But I blame the Fates, they picked this."
Lan and Mayl walk over, mumbling to themselves, Percy looks at them, "I thought you were meant to be here for the whole meeting?"
Lan groans, "That's what we thought but they were going to kick us out to discuss projects we're not allowed to know about yet."
Percy sighs, "Ah. I think I know, but I am not giving you any insight."
Lan and Mayl sigh in unison, "We hate it but we get it."
Percy then turns back to Hub, "Anyway, you hungry?"
"I could go for a bite," Hub says. "I just hope the others aren't tearing the lab down looking for me. I need to find a way to tell them I'm OK."
Dr. Oliver smiles at him, "Don't worry, our tech is already working on that. Had this sorta stuff happened enough in my time as a Ranger to just have it automatically happen."
"I guess that explains why you're being so casual about the whole thing."
Dr. Oliver shrugs, "I mean this is far calmer than being kidnapped by an alien sorceress who wants you to kill your current team of heroes that are protecting your city."
"Right. The one from the dumpster. I'm still not sure how someone decided that was a good place to lock her in."
Dr. Oliver snorts, "From what we gathered, that was mostly because it was the only thing available which couldn't be naturally opened or destroyed and humanity at the time wasn't able to reach the Moon and no one in the universe wanted to return her to the universe, minus Lord Zedd and his Empire and the rest of the universe kept him distracted."
"I guess it beats locking the old internet's tentacle monster form in the deepest place of the new network."
Lan, Mayl, Roll, and Megaman all snort, "You too? Was it one Old Internet beast or two?"
"First there was Alpha, then Gregar… and Falzer was created to stop Gregar but of course ended up going out of control too. So that makes three."
Lan nods, "I forgot about Alpha… So about the same as us."
"And there was Gospel before that, which later turned out to be an attempt at creating a new Gregar."
Lan and Mayl look at each other, "Ah… We should probably discuss the differences of things about our adventures outside of the meeting. Anyway, you got a food preference Hub?"
"Well… despite the other you being an absolute maniac for curry… I haven't had that in a while."
Lan looked surprised, "Huh, curry?"
Mayl giggled, "Looks like a difference. Here that'd be me who's a maniac for it."
"Funny. One of the first things I did when I settled into this body was learning how to cook in the real world. The other you is pretty much my partner and rival in the kitchen. My Roll is more focused on the desserts part… and our Lan has a bottomless stomach."
Mayl smiles, "Good to know that my other self still likes to cook. Also, Lan is always hungry... Anyway," She looked at everyone at the meeting table, "We needed here?"
Dr. Oliver smiles, "You can go, if anything needs your attention, you'll get a text from me."
Percy smiles, "Ok! You guys want to get out of the room?" He was holding the door open now.
"Might as well get going," Hub says with a nod. "I've got a lot to discuss with these four, especially related to Full Synchro… and some other things."
Lan and Mayl look very interested in the discussion bit, "Ok." Both walk out of the door.
"So I need to ask… During the times you used Full Synchro, did you notice any other effects besides seeing through each other's eyes, feeling each other's heartbeat, and so on?"
Lan and Mayl look at each other before Lan answers him while Percy was close behind them, "Honestly, we'd probably don't know. Cause it's only used with our Netnavis…"
Mayl cut in, "I guess, there was that one time I saw an HP bar above me, you, and the enemy, also I saw our stats and stuff in an information box."
Percy looked interested but remained quiet.
"But you feel the Navi as if you were part of each other, right?"
Lan and Mayl nodded.
"Right. That's what I'm talking about. "Our Lan can bond with Navis and achieve Full Synchro very quickly… though I'm pretty sure that given the right conditions, humans can use Full Synchro with each other too."
Lan, Mayl, and Percy stop at the same time, "Really?"
"Yes. So in theory, Lan here should be able to use full Synchro with Roll… or with Mayl…"
Percy says, "Could this 'Full Synchro' be possible with others who have not much connection to the PETs and NetNavis?"
"The important point is the bond between the participants. Full Synchro is a bridge between souls using the strength of bonds and feelings and the spark of light inside us all."
Percy hums, "Interesting. That sounds extremely similar to my ability to work extremely well with Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo, Thalia, Nico, and my family… I haven't ever had it where I could feel like I was literally the same person when it activated."
"The principle is the same. I guess in our case we discovered it this way because of our life circumstances and the path our technology took."
Percy nods, "Makes sense, could be something to do with the Godly side of me. While with the PET technique it would be more of a personal connection."
"No godly intervention is needed here. God, man, or machine, it doesn't really matter. Just the ability to connect to each other on a fundamental level."
Hub then glances at Lan and Mayl and grins mischievously. "No, not that way. But I suppose that may help in your case."
Percy snickers, "They ain't there yet, Hub. The doghouse incident which I am sure you heard about was only about two days ago. Lan is still being an idiot about his feelings."
Lan's mouth dropped open in protest before Mayl smirked at him, "Oh shut it, it's true. And you shouldn't argue with Percy. He was just as bad as you if the rumors are true."
Percy grinned, "Nah, Lan's got me beat if only because I had at least figured it out before I got forced into our lake by the camp. If he keeps it up, I am tempted to stuff you two into a closet with my pet hellhound to make sure you figure this out."
Hub lets out a laugh. "We spent years telling them to get a room. And then something finally clicked and our Lan just… Oh man, I'm not sure if I should tell you this."
Percy grinned, "Don't spoil the whole event, man. But was it a date or straight to the room?"
Mayl began to choke at the implications.
"I guess I can say this much. Embassy dinner party. Then a surprise flight and a trip to a particular jewelry store overseas."
Mayl and Percy both stole unhidden looks at Lan who was just looking completely clueless, "What?!"
Percy chuckled, "Damn you really are thicker than a brick about it!"
"More like an entire wall. OK then, let's try a different way. Mayl. When Lan and I went to Netopia for the first time, we brought something back for you. Do you remember what it was?"
Mayl groans, "OH COME ON! My Lan went there and got me nothing."
Percy facepalmed, "Ouch… At least, I got my friends some stuff when I went places."
"Really, Lan? Really?"
Lan looked confused, "What?" Then from his PET Megaman spoke up, "I did try to get Lan to buy Mayl a flower or chocolates."
Mayl smiled, "Thanks for the attempt, Megaman."
"I guess this Lan is even thicker than ours. Ours had the courtesy to get some souvenirs for our friends and a little ring for Mayl."
"He what?" Mayl asked in an unnaturally calm tone.
"Oh yes. And once he finally stopped being so dense, he took her all the way across the ocean to get a pair of matching engagement rings. I was surprised that he took the initiative like that."
Mayl begins to growl, a shadow appearing around her. Hub takes one look at her and prudently takes two steps to the side. Ignoring him and everyone else in the room, she slowly steps towards Lan.
Roll then spoke up, "Well then… Lan, do you mind handing your PET to Hub or Percy? Same with your PET, Mayl. I'd rather me or Megaman not get lost at the moment."
Lan blinks, not hearing Roll as Mayl punches him in the face.
Percy snorts, "Well then…"
Hub snorts.
"Our Mayl wasn't this violent… most of the time. But before anything else…"
He quickly confiscates both their PETs before they get accidentally broken and stares at the screens.
"I hope you two have at least kissed by now. This is just sad."
Roll snorts, "You mean, me and Megaman or them?"
"Yes."
Percy began laughing, "I don't know about the Navis, but to my knowledge, Lan had to kiss Mayl of his own will to leave the doghouse."
Roll nodded, "It was the case, also I believe that we haven't kissed. Mostly because we have been busy trying to get the thick idiot to understand that he actually likes Mayl."
Hub gives the Navis a mischievous smirk.
"Not even once? I'm disappointed in myself right now."
Both Megaman and Roll shrug, "We both agreed to start dating once we got Mayl and Lan together."
Hub snorts in response and then stares straight at his counterpart.
"I suppose someone has to be the voice of reason around here. Just don't keep her waiting for too long, you hear?"
Hub then turns his head to Lan and Mayl.
"Same goes for you."
Mayl snorts, "Seriously if he keeps this up, I might try to date Chaud or steal Percy from Annabeth."
Percy began to laugh deeply at that last bit.
"And just like that, you're back to laughing." Hub remarks with a shrug. "Like someone flipped a switch. But if your Yai is anything like ours, trying to steal Chaud is a bad idea."
Mayl shrugged, now having somehow flipped Lan onto her back facing Hub, "I already got permission for that from her."
With the nonsensical mood in the room beginning to infect him, Hub stares at Lan and grins.
"So Lan. What is it going to take? Mayl hooking up with Yai?"
Percy also speaks up, "And if that fails, I am sure that Annabeth would be far more than willing to share me just to get a point across."
Lan just looked confused, "What are you two talking about?"
Percy groaned looking at the ceiling, "Was I this bad?"
Annabeth turned the corner, "No, you were not. Also Mayl, you have full permission to do that tactic."
"This is just sad to watch. Lan, did Mom drop you on your head when you were little?"
Megaman spoke up, "No, neither one did. I looked at our security video of the house to check about 10 years ago when this started."
"I feel sorry for Mayl. And all the other girls who ended up crushing on him hard without him even realizing it."
Mayl snorts, "You mean about half of the AC/DC Town school system?"
Percy grinned, "Damn, I think that beats some of the Aphrodite Cabin's records."
"And Princess Pride. And Jasmine. And Sal. And Myuu. And probably Yai. I could go on all day."
Percy shrugged, grinning, "If you wanted, I could get Aphrodite to get him to figure it out. Be nice not to be her focus for a while."
"And then she might try to seduce him. Which would result in either her getting a migraine after seeing how thick he is or Mayl becoming the apocalypse."
Percy shrugs, "Either way, it'd get him to figure out something."
Annabeth chuckled, "You just want to see her get attacked by a mortal don't you Percy."
Percy shrugged, "No comment."
Roll snorted from her PET, "Either way, be interested to see how Lan would react either way."
Mayl groaned at something that Lan had told her and threw him directly at Hub, "You deal with this idiot."
"Story of my life. But try not to break him. He can't give you those three or more kids if he's in a full-body cast."
A mischievous grin blooms on his face. "Maybe I should tell you the story of how our Lan proposed. He actually had the sense to invite her to the embassy party I mentioned and after getting her back home they finally kissed. He mentioned at one point that he was getting a bit scared she might get tired of waiting and move on, so she said…"
He clears his throat and then continues. "That if he'd kept her waiting for too long, she might just have snapped and had her way with him."
Mayl growls, "If this keeps up, I am dragging him off in a goddamn mecha to an abandoned island to do that."
Percy snorts, "Well then, I know of a few magical ones that are free for use."
Annabeth sighs, "Percy, really?"
"When he finally decided to propose, our Lan snuck to Netopia with our Mayl to pick a proper engagement ring. Even stayed at a hotel together overnight."
Hub scratches his chin.
"Which reminds me. You may want to listen to this recording later."
He then wirelessly beams a file to his counterpart's PET.
Megaman immediately opened it so only he could hear it.
Roll, Mayl, Annabeth, and Percy looked at Hub in interest, Percy catching Lan by the leg as he passed by him.
"Word of advice, don't turn the speakers too high or someone might call the police."
Megaman snorts as he reached a particular moment, "I'd probably just play this on the speakers of the Londo Bell base we're in."
"For great justice. Though I'm still not sure if that would faze that dumdum."
Hub then grabs Lan by the cheeks, staring directly at him.
"Are you going to tell me you don't feel anything at all when you look at Mayl? When you think of her?"
Lan looks at him confused, "Besides a feeling of friendship?"
"Yes. Be honest. And no, I don't mean hunger for her rice cakes."
Megaman grinned, having heard the recording. Lan though just looked more confused, "I just feel a great sense of friendship for her at the moment, the same with any girl in my school."
Percy facepalmed, "Gods give me strength."
"Really now? Then why do you keep going above and beyond every time she's in danger? And for that matter, why do you think she's always hovering around you and gets so mad when other girls get too close?"
Lan shrugs, "I do that for every girl. Also, I got no idea for the second bit."
Percy then spoke up, "Haven't you ever gone beyond your own limits for Mayl over any other girl."
Lan looked at him confused, "Not to my knowledge."
Percy looked at Megaman, "Megaman?"
Megaman snorted, "He did multiple times. I think that one of those times was the first time we got access to Full Synchro."
"And you never thought why? Or are you just not being honest with yourself?"
Lan looked annoyed and confused, "I don't know what you are talking about!"
Percy looked annoyed, "He's lying to himself. Great…"
"So how would you feel if she told you she doesn't want to see you again? Or if Dad had to move to a different city because of his job and take you with him?"
Lan's face was uncharacteristically pale, "Why?"
"Because at least one of these things happened to our Lan. And the other… well… if your Mayl weren't so head over heels… But if you keep acting like this, she might actually say it."
Hub sighs. "What are you so afraid of?"
Lan looked at him in confusion, "Afraid, me?" He then began to speak without breaking for a breath, "NoIaintafraidofMaylleavingmeitsnotlikeIactuallylikeherasmorethanafriend!"
Percy looked amused, pulling out a PET, "Razz? You mind looking for a professional to help Lan?"
A female voice spoke from the PET, "I was on it when Mayl punched him."
"Things not working out? Disappointing her? Is that it? Messing it up and driving her away?"
Lan looked nervous, "What? No! I don't know what you're talking about!"
Mayl looks amused, "Interesting… Maybe I should do something to make you interested in more than my cooking?"
"Or maybe you just don't want to make her a target? Well, from what I've seen so far, she's as competent as you and won't just stay at home worrying about you."
Lan began to sputter, "I-I don't know what you are hinting at…"
Razz spoke up, "If you guys can't get through, Dr. Oliver has been notified and is willing to discuss this with him. Apparently, he's dealt with this already. Also apparently Yeager is wanting to help, something about not wanting to deal with teenage love drama anymore."
Percy looked at Hub, "Your thoughts?"
"At this point, I'm not sure what to think. It almost seems like he's got some trauma blocking him from accepting his feelings. Nothing like this happened to our Lan, even if he was dense as neutronium."
Megaman shrugs, "If there is any trauma, I wasn't there for it."
Percy sighs, "Great…"
Mayl shrugs as well, "I didn't do anything to spook him."
"So maybe he's just scared of something new and overwhelming."
Roll snorts, "I hope that's it. At least then, both Dr. Oliver and Yeager should fix that. If not, I am sure that we could talk the Getter Project into letting him be a tester for the Getter Mecha."
"I'm not sure if messing with something that primal would be good. At least in his state. But I did see some reaction from him just now, so there's still hope."
Hub scratches his chin.
"It's just weird. Our Lan always faced everything head-on. Sure, he was scared sometimes, but he never let that stop him."
Percy shrugs, "Humans can never claim to be simple creatures."
Mayl snorts, "If the Getter doesn't work, I'll just find out a way to get him to figure it out. I still have a ton of plans. Roll can send you the list."
"It's true that humans aren't simple creatures, but have you tried the simple and direct approach? Grabbing him and spelling it out for him, with no room for misunderstandings?"
Roll and Megaman snorted, "She did that eight times a day for a month already."
Percy and Annabeth just looked at Lan like he was an idiot, "Really, man?"
"So let me get this straight… She says she loves you and wants to spend the rest of her life with you. And you don't react? At all?"
Mayl spoke, "That for 30 days straight, eight to twelve times a day! One of them was while I was in a bikini!"
Hub straightens up very stiffly, eyes wide, and raises his index finger.
"Excuse me for a minute."
He then walks directly to the nearest wall at a quick pace and proceeds to hit his head on it repeatedly.
Percy groaned as he rubbed his forehead, "Man, I thought I had seen some dense guys. Shit, I thought I was dense!"
Annabeth just looked at Mayl with pity.
Mayl snorts, "Good to know I am not the only one annoyed about the density of Lan."
"Hey hey!" the other Hub cries out from inside the PET. "Relax! You're gonna bust through the wall!"
"I know a man who was raised by robots and AI assistants until he was eighteen. Grew up completely emotionally stunted. He still wasn't as impossible as this Lan."
Percy snorts, "At this point, I am sure even Artemis would be trying to help you Mayl."
"Word of advice, you two," Hub says, turning back to the PETs. "Don't wait too long. At least admit your feelings to each other if you haven't already. Because if you wait for those two… well…"
Roll snorts, "We had already done so the day that Mayl and Lan met."
"So you fell in love at first sight too huh?"
Megaman shrugged, "That and we realized that Mayl fell in love with Lan when he comforted her when she lost her teddy bear. Back in Preschool."
"I remember that… Things may have happened differently on this side, but in ours, he went looking for it everywhere."
Mayl giggled, "He even tried to sneak into the teacher's and girl's restroom before he found it in a bush."
"Sounds familiar. I'm surprised you two confessed to each other right on the first day though."
Mayl shrugged, "I was busy with crying for most of it to realize. And Lan? Well… You have seen and heard."
Percy nods, "Fair enough…" He then drops Lan on the ground, "Anyway, we good to go to the restaurant for food?"
Hub sighs and pats Mayl's shoulder.
"Well, for what it's worth, I believe you'll find a way. I just hope this hasn't ruined your appetite."
Mayl snorts, "For curry? Never!"
Lan groans in pain, sitting rubbing his now red face, "Why did you drop me!?"
Percy snorts, "Because you're dense, and I thought that would reduce your density."
"If only it were that easy. Maybe he needs Mayl to suplex him."
Mayl grins, "I could do so as they did it in Ancient Greece for added effect."
Percy and Annabeth both grinned, "So basically nude?"
Mayl nods.
"Are you sure you're not just looking for an excuse to strip him at this point?"
Mayl shrugs, "If I was, I would've just dragged him to either my room or his at this point."
Percy smirks, "Are we sure you wouldn't just do that here right now if you were that desperate?"
"I hope not. Indecent exposure laws are a thing."
Percy snorts, "You would be amused, or possibly annoyed, about how much things can get ignored."
Mayl blushed as she eventually got the idea of the message, "Oh shut it, Percy!"
"OK, let's calm down a bit. After we've had food, maybe I can give you some pointers on Full Synchro… and some other things. Maybe I can even show you some of the stuff I've learned about the Warriors of Light. Things you can use to keep each other safe out there."
He smiles and lowers his voice, leaning closer to Mayl.
"Don't let this discourage you. You still have plenty of time."
Mayl snorts as she whispers back, "You should read the plan from earlier today. Apparently, this version of you is as done with Lan's denseness as you are. He was involved in planning out some tactics too."
"It's good to know that I'm consistent, even in a different world. I just feel sorry for those two. They're missing out on so much, confined to PETs as they are."
Mayl smirks, "You want to be sent the plans so you can suggest things to them?"
"Sure. I'll go over the plans with them in private."
Mayl nods, "I am sure that they would enjoy your input…"
"And if you need to vent or cook up some ideas of your own, I'm all ears. I've been through all this before after all."
Mayl smirks, "Cooking is already covered by Lan's dad and mom. Something about them being tired of Lan not cooking so they come over every night. Thanks for the vent offer."
He then gives her a conspiratorial wink.
"And I've got some pictures stored in my memory that you may want to see later…"
Mayl grins, "Embarrassing ones or cute ones? I would like either."
"Both, actually."
Mayl nods, "Maybe involve Percy and Annabeth. I don't mind them knowing or seeing. If anything, it might speed up their relationship. I hear that their parents are tired of them not marrying yet."
"Maybe. But I think you'll want to see them yourself first. I carry those copies around as a reminder of what I'm fighting for… and some of them are good for a laugh too."
Mayl giggled, "You trying to not follow the example of Zero in the events of X4, you'd probably know it as the RepliForce battle/fight/war or whatever you call it?"
"Yeah… The Zero from the Earth Next Door told us about that. Their Iris is long gone but ours is still around."
Mayl snickers, "Have you heard the voice acting of the video game about that? It's among the most infamous lines in all of gaming."
"X and Zero always clam up whenever someone mentions the voice-acted games. I think they know."
Mayl nods, "Oh it's bad. In one of the games, X sounds like an 8-year-old girl. Zero's quality is hit and miss. Axl probably would be the better one of the group. At least he got a decent voice actor for it. At least, in the main games. Although that's mainly the English voices. The Japanese voices seem to be a tad better about it."
Hub winces. "Rock and Dr. Light also suffered from that, if memory serves. They made Rock sound like a little girl and Dr. Light like Elmer Fudd."
Mayl snickers, "X and Rock got the same voice actor for 8 and X4. 8 Would be the only Rock game with voice acting minus some spin-offs. If you want to hear, I am sure a Google or YouTube search will provide the answers."
Hub suddenly flashes a mischievous grin. "I've got one better for you. Watch this."
Hub reaches for Lan's PET again and transmits a recording over.
"Ooh!" Axl's voice says excitedly. "Do the thing! Do the thing!"
Percy and Annabeth look at the PET in amusement, "That your universe's Axl?"
"We don't have one. He's from the Earth Next Door, just like X. One of him is enough for two universes."
They can see X in some sort of upgraded Ultimate Armor with a design very similar to the first model on the screen. At the moment, it, along with his body, is shining with a golden light. Axl is hovering excitedly around him.
"Not now Axl…" X grumbles.
"Aw! C'mon!" Axl pleads with a childlike pout. "You even went all golden and stuff! C'mon! Just this once!"
Percy makes a face, "Oh I see… I feel sorry for him. Get that a lot in the Camps…"
Annabeth snickers, "Not our fault, you copied the shonen anime trope of naming your special attacks."
Hub snorts. "I don't get it myself why some people call out their attacks. Even X and Zero started doing it. But keep watching."
"Fine…" X says with a sigh. "Better watch closely, because I'm not doing this in public again."
The camera pans out a bit, showing X's full body as he stomps his right foot forward and clenches his right fist, holding it with the back of his hand facing forward.
"This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!"
Then X pulls out something strongly resembling a Z-Saber and grasps it with both hands. "Its burning grip tells me to defeat you!"
Mayl grins, "I think that's slightly different from the game's line."
Percy nods, "It is but close enough."
"It's getting to the best part," Hub announces.
"Take this!" X shouts, holding the blade vertically. Suddenly it shifts from blue to pure white and grows to a ridiculous length before he brings it down in several slashes. "My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow! SHINING FINGER SWORD!"
Percy snorts, "Ah! Interesting. He made that after seeing the anime or before?"
Hub lets out a laugh. "Apparently the source material is about two hundred years old on his Earth. He and his Hunter friends used to watch that and a bunch of other giant robot shows in their time off. But here comes the punchline."
X's expression turns back to its usual stoic self, though he's looking a little embarrassed. The light dies down and his armor turns back to its usual shade of blue… and then he's suddenly caught up in a bear hug from behind.
"Uh… Alia?" he manages to stutter, before turning a fierce shade of crimson.
"After all these years you still manage to surprise me…" the Reploid in question purrs into his ear. "I had no idea you could sound this… manly."
As Alia starts nuzzling his neck, the recording ends.
"And that's Axl for you all," Hub says. "A troll who knows how to push people's buttons. But he usually does things for a reason."
Mayl smirks, "Think if you and everyone can't get through to Lan that you could send him here?"
Percy snorts, "I agree."
Hub grins again. "Oh, I'm sure Axl would love the chance to unleash his trolling on yet another Earth. Of course, he could also drive you crazy."
"Well, a certain someone is already driving me crazy." Mayl points out. "Don't have much to lose at this point."
"But we could also bring our Lan and Mayl. Maybe our Roll too."
Mayl snorts, "Thanks, I am sure that Axl could probably have a lot of fun. Also, we could use the help for the defense of our world."
Percy nods, "I am sure only the demigods and gods of Earth have our powers at the moment. I don't count the Marvel Heroes or Superman because that's cheating. Also, the Lantern Corps aren't allowed on Earth at the moment."
"What's the story with those now?"
Percy looked at him, "Which one?"
"If by Lantern Corps you mean what I think you do, why aren't they allowed here?"
Percy smiles, "They are trying to be neutral because the Stellar Empire allows them to police in their sectors if they don't defend planets."
"That sounds incredibly selfish of them. Aren't they supposed to protect people, at least the Green and Blue Corps?"
Percy smiles, "I think they had to do this, from what we heard, there was a major prison break in both of their prisons. I don't like it but I don't have a problem if it's going to cause more chaos than needed."
"Another thing that bothers me is how this empire just suddenly came out of nowhere and took over everything in the blink of an eye."
Percy shrugs, "At least in terms of a universal scale, it was about 9 months. From what we gathered, they sorta just remained in their own system, and then only about 9 months ago, give or take, they began their conquest. From what we gathered the ancestors, per se, of the Borg had issues with them."
"Well, this whole situation raises a lot of questions. How do you begin to dismantle something of that magnitude? And if they're able to travel between universes then this could be just the beginning."
Percy shrugs, "I mean, from what we gathered of the empire's information and servers, they aren't aiming for any specific goal. The goal was to create an empire to last for millennia. In fact, this war wasn't a popular choice among the soldiers and public. It seems to be sorta the same mindset of Hitler for the Emperor and his family. So what we suspect it'll be fine to just kill the Emperor and his family. The government and allies of ours all agreed to offer a treaty offer to the next leader of them."
"And what's to keep the next leader from just carrying on as their predecessors?"
Percy shrugs, "At least, we're guessing that they are at least going to be more willing to talk about things."
Suddenly alarms go off around the base, Percy runs to a nearby communications relay, "Situation?"
Dr. Oliver speaks, "Well, you want the good news or the bad news first?"
Percy looks at Hub, "Bad news, first Doctor."
Dr. Oliver grimly replies, "Apparently, we got some hostile visitors in the solar system. Appear to be time travelers because the tech is far more advanced than anything in the known universe."
"The good news? We got allies in the same jump. Hub might be interested in the name of the ships and we have the names of the captains for the allied ships."
"Let's hear them, then," Hub says.
"Ship names are Universal Union Starship NX-Class Enterprise, Universal Union Starship Constitution-Class Enterprise NCC-1701-A, Universal Union Starship Galaxy-Class Enterprise NCC-1701-D, and Universal Union Londo Bell Starship Macross-Class Enterprise."
"I know I've heard at least some of those names before…" Hub remarks.
"Captains are Captain Johnathan Archer; Captain James T Kirk; Captain Jean-Luc Picard; and, my personal favorite, Londo Bell Admiral Perseus Jackson."
"I'm a bit rusty on the Trek side of things, but aren't those… some of the early big names in their continuity? But there's another Percy with them too?"
"Our allies don't have any data on the attacking ships, for the record. Even using the records of our fiction to look for some information shows nothing."
Percy grimaces, "Orders for us?"
Dr. Oliver replied, "Simple, get to Command Center Alpha!"
Percy nods, "Got it, anyone there?"
Dr. Oliver grumbles, "No one. It's not even officially operational. None of our Departments are!"
Percy groans, "Ok thanks. Over and out!"
He then turns to the others, "Lan, Mayl, and Annabeth, head off to get people at the Command Center!" They nod, running off. "Hub, you fine to come with me?"
"Lead the way. Looks like the weirdness is just getting started."
Percy began to run towards the command center, "I mean, Londo Bell is generally considered to be the place to place anything that is outside of the norms of military operations. Also, you have the database from Dr. Oliver fully accessible from your own CPU, correct?"
"Uh, yes. Haven't had time to go through the copy he gave me though."
Percy just nodded, "Ok, a simple question has a simple answer. Look at my data."
Hub read in the database: "Name: Perseus 'Percy' Jackson. Current Age: 17. Status: Immortal Demigod, due to an act of the Fates from all religions and their split-off groups of Immortals. Notes from Londo Bell HQ: Due to gain Commander of Starfleet Division of Londo Bell upon completion of the Londo Bell Macross-Class Starship Enterprise."
Hub blinked. "Londo Bell has a Starfleet division? What?"
Percy gave him a look, "Not at the moment, currently, it's being planned for relief of the Stellar Empire War. You see, I suspect that Perseus Jackson is actually me. But the question is which form of time travel are we talking about with these time travelers or if they know in the first place."
"Well, don't forget that he could be a different you from a different reality."
Percy shrugs, "We'll find out. I suspect time travel more than anything. If only because when I was 12 I had a dream that was a closed time loop of the speech of the Londo Bell Enterprise."
"Well, unless you have prophetic dreams or something, I'd still take that with a grain of salt. Your mind can easily show you things you want to see or things you fear… or just cook up a confusing mess."
Percy snorts, "Apparently my dreams are more prophetic than the ones that Apollo has on occasion and he is the literal God of prophecies."
"So how did you even get that ability? Also, do let me know if you happen to dream of those two over there getting their act together."
"Prophetic dreams are a part of the Demigod packet along with ADHD and being hard-wired for Ancient Greek or whatever language your godly parent's culture used. In my case, I got a more raw deal. I got great powers but at the cost of my brain having the worst case of ADHD in modern Demigod history along with getting my brain hard-wired for literally all of the dead languages of humanity. The prophetic dreams that I have are just a part of the deal. Also kinda sucks when I see a person die who is major to my conflict or quest at the time, cause then I see their whole life from birth to death."
"Yeah, from everything I've seen, heard, and read, the power of prophecy isn't all it's made out to be."
Percy nods, "It fucking sucks balls. Try having to relive the lives of every single victim and soldier of every war after you fought the God of War? Past, Present, and Possible Futures?"
"No thanks. Having my eyes opened and feeling every single living thing on the entire planet, their emotions, fear, and anguish at the same time was more than enough."
Percy snorts, "I can imagine, anyway. Welcome to Command Center Alpha. And before we enter, yes it was inspired by Star Trek Starship Bridge."
He then opens the door to the Command Center.
"For some reason, I was almost expecting a short and easily excitable robot to start running around making weird noises."
Dr. Oliver's laughter could be heard over the comms, "Sorry about this, but we just now got the comms online so I heard that. Your thinking of Alpha 5. He was destroyed in a battle and their models aren't made or available anymore. Percy, you're the one in charge there."
Percy looks at Hub, "You good to handle Science Computers? Should be that different from your tech and your body's technology will allow you to inside your Connection Plug or whatever into whichever console I send you to so you can do the manual inputs and do your Net Navi stuff at the same time."
Hub grinned. "Well, I am a trained scientist, a part of the Robot Masters project, and a synthetic life form. You could say I know my way around them."
Percy grins, "Good if things get to the point where you come to join our Starfleet, I am having you and Annabeth being my Senior Science Officers."
"Flattering, but I'd have to bring my brother along. He wouldn't want to miss any of this."
Percy shrugged in response, "That's assuming that your Lan doesn't appear in our universe. I need good science given that our mission as Enterprise is the same as the other ones: Go where no Earthling has gone before. Although I still say the original one of 'Go where no man has gone before' rolls off the tongue better."
"Are you going to start playing the theme song on the ship's PA system too?"
"I can't. Copyright. Anyway, hop to the nearest computer station. I need all of these turned on, they only just got the comms up and we have nearly 90 systems to start-up and hope we don't have OS updates."
Percy then hops over to a nearby computer station doing just that.
"90? I think I can manage."
Hub walks up to another station and places a hand over the nearest access port. He pauses for a moment, bright blue lights briefly flickering in his eyes.
"Close enough to what I'm used to."
Percy grins, "Oh I am sure that it'll be more insane when you go to our public stuff. There are supposedly over 90 million and counting layers of the Net. Not including games, websites, servers, and etc."
"I guess that's to be expected, especially since your Navis never left the Cyberworld."
Percy chuckled, "That plus our super extreme tech jump since 2004. Our current records show that by this time next year that number of layers will be around the 450 octillion mark. Anyway, you should be able to go between consoles as a Net Navi plus you can physically be on Pluto while hooked up and still have a near-perfect connection to the console as both a human and Net Navi. We designed the systems to be able to have easy transfers of Net Navis in case of the stereotypical Star Trek FUBAR stuff."
"Out of curiosity… How many people around here start falling for their Navis or getting addicted to the Cyberworld in general?"
"Never asked and never cared. Not my area of interest. Annabeth might know. Weapons, Navigation, and Mecha Bay are up and running."
"And this connection system… How immersive is it?"
"It was designed for the prototype Copy Bots, never for Human use."
"Well, that's a relief. I was worried someone might have gotten ideas about using the old Pulse Transmission System or something."
"Ah, that's still in development. Lan asked to be the head of it while in college."
"I hope he'll be careful then. On my Earth, Dr. Cossack developed that system a long time ago. It makes humans incredibly powerful in the Cyberworld but it can be extremely dangerous because of the backlash to their nervous system if they take damage in there."
"Thank you for the warning. Medical and science systems are online." Percy then sits in the Commanding Seat, pressing a button on the chair, "Command Center Alpha is online. All I need are officers to be able to help me and Hub."
Dr. Oliver says, "On it Command Center Alpha."
Percy looks at Hub, "Hub, can you locate where Annabeth, Mayl, and Lan are?"
"Let's see… They should have their PETs, so if I can home in on the signal… There we go. Does this thing have some kind of transporter too? Some of the systems are locked and I'd rather not start randomly unlocking everything."
"We have a rough teleport system in place for mecha, but it's completely untested on anything other than metals."
"Well, let's not take any chances."
Hub rings his counterpart's PET. "Hello me. Are those two still giving you headaches?"
Megaman responds, "No, they are in the mindset that Lan gets when there's a Virus Attack. Annabeth is on her own, I don't have any information on her. Said something about getting Percy's stubborn cousins into the area. Mayl went to get Dex and Chaud. Lan is just trying to remember where to go in this place. I think the fear got him distracted."
Hub sighs. "Hold still. I'm sending you directions. Figured he might get lost."
Lan could be heard complaining about the lack of faith in him while Megaman was trying to see if a NetNavi could die of laughter.
Percy called Dr. Oliver, "Dr. Oliver, what's the situation on the Mecha that I have?"
Dr. Oliver groaned, "Worse shape than anyone could imagine. Only one Super Robot and you got twelve Mass-Produced Tank-Class Mecha. None of them are suited to be in space. You send them out, we're going to be facing a helluva of yelling from the budget guys. It'd be a one-way trip."
Percy groaned, "Damn it, you guys got any other Command Centers up and running? If not, we got this one good and I am sure that we could handle it for the others until they get up and running."
After a brief moment, Dr. Oliver said, "You got it, be warned. Once those other Command Centers go online, you're only a Support Team."
Percy looks at Hub, "And if I see a mecha which I can save?"
Dr. Oliver snorted, "Do what any military officer would do and save that pilot!"
Percy nods, "Roger that." He turned off the comms, turning to Hub, "Can you get the mecha systems pulled up with a map of the battle? I want to know the exact model number if possible! I want to make sure that we don't lose anyone if possible."
"Sure thing. Let's see… PTX-002 Gespenst Type-S? What's this doing here?"
"Probably Yeager's personal ship."
"No. I think this is an older model. By the time I ran into him, he was piloting a custom model called the RV."
"We don't know how far along in his personal timeline he is, check the pilot."
"Edward Straker. Doesn't ring any bells."
"Ok, figured worth a shot of checking it out. Check for any of the major anime mecha players in the logs, also is Yeager on the list of the pilots going out?"
"The system says he's doing recon. I guess he's always been the type to sneak around doing his own thing."
Percy shrugs, "Fair enough. Someone's got to get the intel, right? Any other major names on the list?"
"Foster, Ellis, Freeman, Henderson... I don't recognize any of them."
"Ok, give all of the Mecha Squads the command to launch. They should know the protocol."
"There's mention of a command ship in the area too. The Skydiver."
Percy raised an eyebrow, "It got a country or Organization it belongs to? I don't believe Londo Bell has any command ships. We only just barely got these Command Centers up and running today."
"There's an IFF tag, but it doesn't mean anything to me. SHADO."
Percy turns to him, "SHADO? New to me, but I will accept that for now, plenty of governments and organizations that hide in the shadows or have CIA-like situations."
"So you can't sneeze without hitting a secret organization or three? Either way, that Gespenst is boarding the ship. Wait, what? This can't be right."
Percy looks at him, raising an eyebrow, "Yes?"
"It looks like… the ship is launching a small tactical nuke."
Percy looks confused, "That's far beyond our current weapon technology."
"Really? But you have all those giant robots and whatnot."
"The UN banned the development of miniature nukes and bombs after a terrorist attack after 9/11 hit all of the known Super Sentai, Kamen Rider, Power Rider, and Power Rangers home bases."
"It looks like these guys didn't get the memo, or just don't care. Not very discreet for a secret organization but…"
Hub abruptly stops.
"Blast confirmed. One of the enemy ships is down. Make that two, actually. Looks like those missiles have a very limited blast radius."
"I would like to know more about our allies… See about scanning them."
"They're turning around. What the... They just dropped off the sensors completely. That speed was crazy!"
Percy sighs, "Get a speed on the ship? You can pull up our speed estimates, our sensors use Warp Speed numbers since to our current information, that's the closest above Light Speed speed that we can calculate."
"I don't think it went into warp. Maybe it simply switched on some kind of jamming field and blasted off on impulse power."
"Fair enough, although for anything below Light Speed, expect a ton of terms. Apparently, we got the universe where every Science Fiction term for Sub-Light Speed can be used and properly made into an engine. We are a Post-Quantum Universe."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Percy gave a low sigh, "Basically, in theory, we have the math and technology to properly understand Getter Rays and use them to power our cities. We could even create bombs with enough firepower to instantly upon exploding create a Grade 8 blackhole. In fact, the exact bomb type used in the terrorist attack was a United States prototype was equivalent in electronic power load to the Death Star while having a Warp Drive Engine as the basis of the explosion."
"That's crazy. Easily enough to destroy the entire Earth. What were they thinking?"
Percy gave a low chuckle, "Xenophobia. In fact, the firepower nearly did destroy the Earth. It took us throwing a Zeonis Crystal into the radiation to prevent the destruction. Most of the tech of those teams was alien in nature. An extremist group of normal humans thought that all of the Powered Heroes on Earth and their villains were alien infiltrators plotting to take over Earth."
"That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard all day."
Percy then turned to him, smiling grimly, "That's the extremist view, no one thought they were serious about it. Just sorta like a small fire on a boat in the ocean. This attack on all of the bases was when everyone realized they were serious."
"All the bases? At the same time? That would take a lot of planning and resources."
Percy nodded grimly, "This attack even got the US and Al-Qaeda to enter into peace talks. No one organization took credit for the attack. But, it caused a stop to most wars for about 3 years due to the UN actually using its military to step in due to the sheer number of dead. Every single public-facing government, country, organization, and terrorist organization entered into a cease-fire to combat this group."
"So the thought of someone hitting all those superpowered teams was enough to get everyone to stop fighting each other?"
Percy snorted, "Only until the group was discovered and dismantled. That was the agreement. The reason was any Powered Hero team or individual generally only defended against major threats to the public, regardless of race, country, religion, or even if they were known terrorists."
"I guess some things were too good to last. But what happened then?"
Percy just laughs, "No one was expecting it to solve the wars, the governments used this cease-fire to peacefully work with the terrorist organizations to reduce the death count after the cease-fire, none worked. But, this cease-fire and working together uncovered the world's largest international, intergovernmental, and inter-organization terrorist attack in all of the known universe…"
"And that got some technologies banned or resulted in them being lost?"
"The development of the technology was banned for non-space faring operations but even then the weapons were required to be developed and used on a deep space station at a firing range unable to hit any star ever unless they missed or the bomb was redirected. Any miniature bombs available would be nearly 900 years using our best technology, even using Ranger Tech. And keep in mind that Ranger Tech is literally to us about as advanced as anything that you could see in Star Wars or Stargate."
"So how many people did you lose in those attacks?"
"It was devastating. The remaining parts showed at a minimum of nearly a billion people, but even then it was impossible to properly calculate the number. For most of the victims, all that was left were purely atoms of them that ended up in the Large Hadron Collider in 2017. And we could only barely tell they existed."
"Wait, go back a bit. What does the Collider have to do with any of this?"
Percy sighed, "It was how we figured out how to properly date any object from the past, present, or future. During the bombing all of the atoms of the victims were teleported into the Large Hadron Collider on November 1st, 2017 at exactly 9 am. We know this because the scientists there used a UNIT group to give us the message via a being known as the Doctor. We received the message on November 1st, 2002 at 9 am."
"But who teleported them there and why?"
"It was a natural cause. It was a chemical reaction."
"I thought you said the attacks were focused on the team bases. Or was that slaughter after that?"
"They were… But the bombs leveled entire countries. Oceania and the Middle East alone were nearly wiped off the maps by bombs falling out of their paths."
"So instead of it being a focused attack on the teams, it was all out, and taking out the teams was just part of it."
Percy shakes his head, "No it was purely aimed at the teams but about 90% of the bombs didn't have enough fuel to land at their targets. Over 3 minutes, nearly 12 billion of them dropped on the world and changed the course of history forever."
"How can villains be competent enough to locate all the bases but incompetent enough to fumble like that?"
"Time, they only had about a day to pull it off before it would have been discovered."
"So, at the end, who did it? Who were they?"
Percy grimaces, "How open are you to time travel? Cause it's a thing that's happened in a temporal civil war. We're still not sure if it's the same one that's mentioned in the Star Trek series. For our time period, it was literally sects of every government and organization. After this battle, we're going to be asking the Enterprise NX-01 about it."
"Time travel isn't something I've had to deal with… apart from that time another Mega Man from the future showed up. It's the kind of thing best left alone if you ask me."
Percy shrugs, "Yea… I agree but this universe is basically filled with multiple factions doing it. Obviously, the Temporal Civil War and the Time War. There are some other things but those are the major ones. Not to mention, that we know of five different parallel universes that branched off from us due to time travel. Even Back to the Future. Also, how's the battle going?"
"It looks like a tossup right now. Those new arrivals are standing their ground but the enemy is stubborn."
Percy nods, "The Enterprises? Also, where are the mechs?"
"Yes. As for mechs, it looks like the local forces are trying to swarm the enemy's flanks. Wait, the Skydiver is back. Just cracked an enemy's battleship from the rear with another of those tactical nukes. And off it goes again. Still not sure how they're doing it."
Percy nods, "Numbers of the enemy? Also, where are the others?"
"About a dozen big ones and maybe two hundred smaller ones. There's some kind of background interference."
Percy frowns, "How about staff for this Command Center?"
"Was anyone meant to be in the roster before it went live or was that going to be sorted later?"
Percy nods, "It would've been transmitted to the staff's PETs if they were meant to be here. You should be able to see them on the computer."
"Let's see… It looks like the call went out but at least a few of them are… stuck in traffic. Lovely."
Percy nods, "Ok, fair. Mostly just making sure that we didn't lose any lives yet of our staff."
"Doesn't look like it. All staff profiles are showing as active. I don't think any have been able to deploy yet. But shouldn't there be at least a skeleton crew ready in case this place needed to go active?"
Percy nods, "Yes, but the priority would be getting all of the Command Centers up and running. We have like 900 of them."
"Coordinating all of those must be a nightmare, even with network technology. Unless you have some kind of central AI?"
Percy shrugs, "Not my problem, I only just now found out that I am the leader of this Command Center."
"Well… let's see what kind of gear we have lying around."
Percy smiles, "Good for it."
"Some interceptors, a load of infantry equipment, some kind of miniature tank with jet boosters… Hey, we've got a mass production Grungust. Looks like it's never been used. Let's see what else…"
Percy nods, "Any prototype gear?"
"A couple of machines with motion tracking systems, but I can't get the full specs. Looks like the files are classified."
Percy nods, "Probably due to your otherworldly nature and them needing time to trust ya. Any other stuff you can find?"
"A couple of long-range models with arm cannons and sniper rifles. They look like modified Huckebeins."
"Interesting… I would have thought you would have seen another project. Check to see if you can see a project from Kaiba Corp."
"Well, now that you mention it, there's something here called Ryu-Oh. If it's from Kaiba Corp, I've got a pretty good idea what it looks like..."
Percy snorts, "Thankfully if it does, the Mecha Manufacturer Guild has it where all mecha designs must have a practical use. It was designed after we saw a mecha in a show that looked like a girl naked."
"Considering some of the stuff they pull off in those shows, I'm not surprised. But why would one of Kaiba's pet projects be here of all places?"
Percy grins, "It's a project paid for by UNIT and Londo Bell."
"There's also something here that looks almost like a mass-produced Valsione. Not sure if we should tell Mayl and Roll about this."
Percy tilts his head, "Why?"
"Because they'd probably insist on piloting it themselves. You know them."
Percy grins, "Since Mayl and Lan aren't here. Are the comms off to either Lan or Mayl's PET? I can explain why I don't have that worry for our version of them."
"You mean they've actually been trained for it?"
Percy snorts, "No, but seriously. I can't explain if I don't know if they will hear it. Location of them?"
"They should be catching up to us in another couple of minutes."
Percy nods, "Ok, then I'll be brief. Basically, they are getting a unique Super Robot. As of right now, the main engine of the power source will be either powered by their anger or sexual tension. There are other power supplies but they are meant as backups."
Hub snorts and struggles not to laugh.
"Are you… out of your minds? Either of those could make the engine explode."
Percy just laughs, "What I said."
"I've watched enough mech shows to know that adding a backup like that is a surefire way to ensure it'll be needed. And well… given how frustrated Mayl is, I could easily see her supercharging the system with both."
Percy nods, "Yea, thankfully we built enough tech to prevent exploding engines from overload. Overheating? Not so much."
"Do their parents know about this? And don't tell me you're going to put them in tight spandex suits to make energy generation easier."
Percy shrugs, "I don't know more than the engine ideas. Also, telling the parents is the meeting today."
"Oh boy… Just who designed that thing?"
Percy shrugs, "From what I gather it was designed by a mecha anime fanboy."
"I guess that's one way to get them to sort things out for good. Assuming they don't decide to do it in the middle of a battle."
"Megaman and Roll are the back-ups for controlling the mecha if that happens."
"So, other than the weird and somewhat perverted power source, what kind of machine is this going to be?"
Percy shrugs again, "Sadly, that's unknown. The best we know is that the design and weapon systems are based on the Mega Man franchise and the Variable Weapon System from the cartoon and anime."
"So… they could end up with a hormone-powered counterpart to our own X-1. Gotta love parallel worlds."
Percy smiles, "Multiple variants too, we are being promised versions of the mecha type based on every version of the Mega Man playable characters."
"That sounds a bit crazy. And who's going to pilot all of those?"
"Lan and Mayl, the idea is that each variant is designed for different situations and battlefields. I am also assuming that there are possible ideas in mind, you probably could be a pilot if your Lan arrives."
"That would be fun. We've both been chomping at the bit to play a more active role in the fight on our end. This might even give us some more ideas we can use there."
Percy nods, "I am sure you could discuss ideas with our mecha designers."
"Tell me… Just how much do you know about Photon Power or orichalcum?"
Percy shrugs, "Society or me personally?"
"Both, I guess."
Percy snorts, "Hell, I barely understand either. I only know orichalcum is native to my father's realm. Society understands Photons very well. Apparently they are able to create them from nothing."
"In that case, maybe there's more here to work with than I thought. In my world there's a place called Neo Atlantis and our experiments with the orichalcum they've provided were producing interesting and powerful results. As for Photon Power, we got a basic introduction to it courtesy of Gilliam, but we don't have access to Japanium ore."
Percy nods, "Ok, you are going to have to ask my father, Poseidon, directly though about getting access to his orichalcum. Not my stash, I am sure you get it."
"Actually, since we're on the subject of Atlantis, old or new… Have you ever heard the name Nur-Ab-Sal?"
Percy shakes his head, "Never been there long enough to ask about much. Most of the time I am there it's for a war or battle."
"Maybe I'll ask the resident mythological ruins expert then. If he hasn't run off to punch space nazis or something."
Percy tilts his head, "Why not ask Annabeth? She is a daughter of Athena. If nothing else, she would take it as a challenge to find out. Also why not just ask father? If this Nur-Ab-Sal is related to Atlantis then he'd be the most accurate answer to anyone."
"There are some things about the island's ancient history that are bothering me and could have repercussions down the line. Even if it's on a parallel Earth, maybe I can find some clues here."
Percy nods, "Then why not all three? There's always first-hand, demigod information, and then mortal information. Do you know when this Nur-Ab-Sal was around? My father, at least this version, was around since about 1800 BC."
"The usual ballpark figure I've been getting is eight thousand years, give or take. I think he may have been someone important in the past, possibly in a high position, but no actual records from the old island survived."
Percy snorts with laughter, "I can imagine… Especially in this world… Having 30 versions of Altantis to explore in the ocean makes things more confusing."
"Wait what? All in the same world? How?"
Percy nods, "I feel ya, part of it is that a few of them were made to try and restore the city to its original glory and then they pissed off a Poseidon due to ignoring the rules that came with being his honored city. And the others were just appearing in the oceans. This is not including the ones that appeared in the ocean to host the created Poseidons."
"Wait, go back a bit. Created Poseidons?"
Percy nods, "Any of the deities that you will interact with were created by the sheer amount of worship and belief in that specific version of them. Even the Christian, Muslim, and Jewish God."
"I've heard of this sort of thing before. Beings created by belief and an energy source. Draining the very life essence of their world with their mere presence. Corrupting the minds of mortals and enslaving them. They were known as Primals."
Percy nods, "The Morphing Grid showed that to us. Apparently the Morphing Grid's presence is cancelling that effect of the process of birth. I just wish that I knew about the Grid back when I was just a normal demigod… Having Ranger tech and suits would've made some of the things easier."
"Demigod and Ranger gear? Might as well throw in a Getter reactor and some Super Alloy Z or Titanium X. And a Lantern ring for good measure."
Percy grins, "I agree."
"Isn't being a demigod already a bit like playing with cheat codes?"
Percy shakes his head, "Not always. My powers work like a muscle. So I need to train them before they are practically non-tiring."
"But so, if these beings are created by belief alone, what's to stop even more of them from popping up? Every few decades someone will usually come up with some new sect, no matter how ridiculous."
Percy nods, "Simple, the belief and worship needs to be on par with the levels of the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Jews, Muslims, Christians, Babylonians, and so on. Annabeth could probably explain this far better than me."
"You mean it has to reach a certain buildup level before anything actually manifests?"
Percy shrugs, "Annabeth explained it like a level of historic importance before it happens."
"Sounds complicated. I'm glad that hasn't been tried in my world… to the best of my knowledge, that is."
Percy snorts, "You're lucky it's a natural thing and can't be forced."
"In other worlds it could. In fact from what I hear, it happened far too often until someone found a way to put them down for good."
Percy raised an eyebrow, "Might be why our Morphing Grid did this setup."
"It always seems to go back to the Grid somehow. Personally, I find the idea that there's some force pulling the strings behind the curtain more than a bit creepy."
Percy nods, "Thankfully, all of the forces that we're connected to and can communicate with are unable to do anything that major. Even the versions of God don't have the power to destroy the universe. Most of the time, they just try and prevent their version of Heaven and Hell from going to war. Don't need a Doom situation."
"At times like this, I still wonder what exactly is in the core of certain machines we have on our end. They react to the will of the pilots, grow stronger over time, create new weapons out of nowhere, and sometimes even transform without any mechanisms. From what you mentioned, I wonder if some of the same principles are at work there."
Percy raised an eyebrow, "Probably an Athena or God question that one."
"I haven't seen anything on my world that could remotely be considered a god. Then again, we're dealing with lost technology that's several thousand years old and already defies conventional science in many other ways."
Percy shrugs, "Science is just how mortals try and understand the universe. The supernatural is just the stuff that exists but can't fit into science but can't be considered godly."
"As a scientist, it can be frustrating for me to find something that I can't fully understand, especially if I have to rely on it."
Percy snorts, "Oh, you think that's bad. Try having to live with a brother whose very existence in your life goes against the very fiber of your DNA and biological instinct."
"How come? Even if you were from different specieses, that sounds extreme."
Percy shrugs, "You try adjusting to being reminded of your father being a father to cyclops while your only safe haven is being raided by Kronos."
"Well, from what I hear of the titans and the greco-roman pantheon, they were not very nice beings. In fact, you could call most of them straight up evil."
Percy nods, "It's mostly true, but there are outliers. My brother is one of the few. And we found out the summer that our camp's magical border was being attacked by Kronos with poison from the depths of Tartarus."
"Just how haven't they torn this planet apart yet anyway, throwing those powers and weird stuff around all the time?"
Percy grins, "Thankfully, most of the versions around had the myths to learn from and a chance to actually change their world outlook. So most versions of Zeus and Jupiter nowadays actually are better than the myths. Still just as horny though."
Hub winces.
"As long as they keep it consensual."
Percy nods, "To my knowledge, the created Gods and Goddesses did. Not so sure about the monsters."
"I'd rather not think about that too much. Some lines just aren't meant to be crossed."
Percy snorts, "I will rather be honest about it so you don't go and ask a child of Athena or Athena, herself… If only to spare you the details and stats of it. Consider it, a gift of ignorance."
"From what I gather, Athena isn't as nice or wholesome as some people try to paint her. From what I've read she can be as petty and vindictive as the rest of them."
Percy nods, "That is true but she's also open about it. The same can't be said about Hera."
"Well, I think I'll try to avoid all of them as long as I'm here, otherwise things might go badly."
Percy shrugs, "Basically, you will be fine so long as you don't act like an idiot. Most of the ones that will even try to interact with you are smart enough to know that mortals are very different from the Ancient Greeks and others from that era."
"Noted. I have no interest in picking a fight with them, but I'd rather not deal with their tempers either."
Percy grins at him, "Good, the only god you should be worried about fighting is Ares. But that's just his nature as God of War. You're welcome to do so in a simulation arena which will actually give you two hard limits on HP and will stop the fight from possible death. It was created to help curb Ares' nature by Athena."
"Did it help, or did he just get mad when he lost or the simulation crashed?"
Percy smiles, "More or less it helped. The simulation kept it fair and made sure that Ares could see that the victor wasn't cheating. Athena made it herself with the help of Hephaestus to make sure of that."
"I'll keep that in mind. The whole concept of gods of war never made much sense to me. Not when that's their only purpose in life and they're always trying to start new ones."
Percy winces, "That's only the ones from the DC stuff… The actual ones made from actual myths are there to represent the bloodlust, strategy, and so on of war. They are never meant to actually control, start, or end wars. Also, since this reminded me, how's the battle going?"
"Another unit has joined in and deployed a mech squad. Uh… what were these called? Ah yes, Huckebeins. The computer says they're MK-II R models."
Percy nods, "Interesting, looks like some of the Londo Bell stuff isn't just located on Earth in this universe."
"Does this Earth have colonies on the moon or Mars or something? Gilliam mentioned that was pretty common."
Percy shakes his head, "Not yet, the closest we had was the Lost Galaxy Ranger space fleet from the 90s but they were chased back. See if they have any Vulcan, Klingon, or other Star Trek stuff in the signals. We have some of them put in just in case of things. Also, we do have Star Trek ships in orbit so maybe they can help after the battle."
"I'm a little behind on the Star Trek stuff, but… I don't think I recognize any apart from the extra-dimensional arrivals. On another note, it must be weird for them to be referred to by the name of their fictional series equivalent."
Percy shrugs, "For all we know, it could be the right term. Besides, we on Earth were kind enough to send out our entertainment to the universe. So if nothing else, they would at least know what we are saying. Some scientist did it as a way to help First Contact situations."
"Yeah, but it must still be weird. I mean, can you imagine if someone starts calling you the Percy Jackson from the books, or the Percy Jackson from the movies, or the Percy Jackson from the cartoon and so on?"
Percy snorts, "You mean it isn't like that already? There's already books with my name on them here. The newbies at the camps have to adjust to me being real and not like the books. Your universe got any movies about me? There was one in production here before the war happened."
"I'd have to look it up when I get back. I don't remember hearing about it, but it could have been made decades ago or in the future or whatever."
Percy nods, "No worries, I ain't that curious about it. Mostly just wondering because Apollo seemed amused about it. Which slightly worried me."
"If anything, I'd be careful about any movie adaptations…"
Percy shrugs, "Apparently, Dr. Jones is the one with the least issues with his adaptations. From what I heard, the only major issue was they got his eye color wrong in Raiders of the Lost Ark."
"I suppose there are worse things they can get wrong. I wonder if he ended up running into the actor who played him though."
Percy grins, "Oh, it made the news. Both of them were fine. Mostly because Dr. Jones just was more annoyed than anything. Also, he got some of the profits of the films."
"Nice. I'm guessing he spent it on more leather jackets and fedoras. Or has he been wearing the exact same ones all this time?"
Percy shrugs, "No one has gotten an answer to that for the fedora. He tends to use his profits to help museums with research if he isn't using it to pay for his medical bills."
"Medical bills? The guy who drank from the Holy Grail has medical bills?"
Percy grins, "He still has to follow our laws and his job requires him to do doctor visits. Besides, it's not true immortality because he doesn't have it. Although, it's not stopping him from looking for it. He wants to study it. If only to find out if it's the Grail with the magic or the water."
"I imagine dropping the Grail into a bottomless pit must have put a damper on that."
Percy snorts, "Actually, we do know it wasn't bottomless. The main issue is just getting the ability to get it. We can actually use Ranger Tech to get every artifact in the Temple of the Holy Grail. Sadly, it's in the territory of the Taliban."
"So why not just teleport in and back out?"
Percy snorts, "Radars were developed to detect that type of stuff. And it can be actually pinpointed to the exact person who used it and what they did in the area they teleported to. It was a response to the Ranger Tech being used a lot for things during the Zordon Era."
"Did Ranger Tech get leaked or stolen by other groups then?"
Percy sighs, "Not the main groups, but the source of their tech was blown up by Rita during a battle and it landed in the Middle East. No one has seen it, not even the terrorists. Honestly, we only found out about it because the terror groups notified the world."
"I'm glad all those terrorist groups on my Earth were dealt with decades ago."
Percy shrugs, "Honestly, we just deal with it due to the fact that they are keeping themselves in check nowadays. Most of them have gotten past the actual bombings and terrorist actions. But they are still not able to call a government, at least by the rest of the world. Or should I say the rest of the world isn't willing to call them governments."
"For all their talk, those groups are usually incapable of sustaining a functional society. They may have a knack for tearing things down, but definitely not for building them up or keeping them in one piece."
Percy shrugs, "Hey, not my place. All I know is that we don't have wars in the Middle East over the religions unless some major ass steps up." He then rubs his face, "And don't get me started on the mess that Donald Trump made when he tried to…" He then did air quotes, "'Free the dumb Muslims from a dumber Muslim group.' And those were his exact words…"
"As far as I'm aware, he never existed in our world. But I have heard of him."
Percy grins, "Could be far worse, the Morphing Grid showed us another universe where he got made President of the US."
"Let's… not go there."
Percy shrugs, "I agree, just noting how bad it could get. And unfortunately, I have to deal with it. Anyway, any word on the newcomers with the new mecha?"
"They're putting up a fight but they'll probably need help. I still can't get an exact count of the enemy units though."
Percy raises an eyebrow, "Try and get a line to the allies. Any of them, Enterprises or alien. Try all of the frequencies."
Hub nods and starts trying to get a transmission out.
"No answer so far… I think there's some kind of interference. Also, a small fleet has joined in. IFF systems say it's the Earth Defense Force. Just how many different organizations are doing the same thing around here?"
Percy snorts, "From Earth? Probably about 20. Non-Earth, who knows."
"How do they get anything done without tripping all over each other?"
Percy grins, "Most of them are not trying to fight each other."
"True, but I imagine they'd get in each other's way a lot."
Percy shrugs, "I mean, most of them work for the UN. So most of them know what the others are doing."
"Never underestimate government bureaucracy."
Percy nods, "Of course, but at least they know what they are doing and try to avoid fighting over shit."
"True. It's the secret organizations you need to watch out for since they may not even be aware of each other. Anyway, it looks like they're cleaning up the rest of the enemy force. We should probably find out what those Enterprises are doing here."
Percy sighs, "You able to get through to any of their Comms or vice versa? Also any information on the location of the normal staff of this Command Center?"
"Everything is encrypted. Between that and the future tech, it's a losing proposition. As for the staff, they're still on their way here."
Percy groans, shrugging, "Assuming they are from our future, they should have this encryption figured out. I doubt Londo Bell would hide it from the Starfleet of the future."
"Unless they needed some insurance in case some shady politicians tried to hamstring them. A way to communicate without being eavesdropped on."
Percy snorts, "I doubt our current, non-military or powered hero tech could do anything to future tech."
"I mean in their time. In infinite possible futures, we don't know what might happen."
Percy shrugs, "In that situation, they'd probably update the current encryptions and share the old ones to the official governments and militaries."
"Anyway, since we were able to identify the ships and the captains, we should probably expect a call from them sooner or later. I doubt they came here by accident."
Percy snorts, "Basically, they are either here due to a mission, accidental and/or higher power time travel, or just got trapped in a singularity due to your time travel along with those other two from the future."
"All of them, from different time periods, conveniently flying multiple Enterprises? You don't have to be a Time Diver to smell shenanigans."
Percy grins at him, "If the shows are to be believed, there is a Temporal Cold War happening. Most of it revolves around the Enterprises of the timeline for Starfleet. So there's already some point for us to consider this a mission. And having a war on this scale with the Stellar Empire? In any kind of temporal war this would be a hot spot for missions."
"Wonderful. All that's missing is the Ethereals. Or maybe those Balmarians I've been hearing about."
Percy shrugs, "I mean, we don't know who's involved minus Starfleet. So the limits on the armies are practically limitless."
"Yeah, I'm beginning to understand why the Man From the Stars set up a bunch of interdimensional barriers and safeguards on our two Earths. Anyone with the right tech could just hop around as they please."
Percy snorts, "Oh definitely. And it definitely doesn't help our universe's case that we have the Doctor Who stuff here. So we have the Time War on top of the Temporal Cold War."
"Wonderful. How hasn't this timeline been turned inside out yet? Or maybe it has, if you have all this meta stuff around. I mean, a Mega Man based on ancient video games? What's next, an actual Rock and company coming along in the future?"
Percy shrugs, "Our science teams and the Doctor, themself, thinks that each form of time travel comes with it's own set of rules. Sure, it's not a perfect set up. But, it's our best guess. Also, in fairness, we built tech based on anything that we think of here. If only to better defend Earth."
"Yes, I noticed the technology boom. Each invasion ends up bringing new tech that pushes the boundaries. I can't help wondering if all those conflicts are someone's way of feeding more and more superscience to this world."
Percy shrugs, "Meh, at this point, it's far too late to consider or care about it. If they can do that, why bother fighting a being with that power."
"It's almost as if someone was trying to prepare Earth for something though."
Percy groans, "If it's related to the Star Trek stuff, then it's likely a Q. Stupid beings of basically immortal power."
Suddenly, a pulse of light bursts in the middle of the Command Center. Causing Percy to groan, "Oh come on!"
"Looks like it's about to get lively in here."
Percy grumbles under his breath, watching as the light eventually forms into a human male wearing an emperor brown beanie over his curly blonde hair which seemed to highlight his deep cherry-peach skin over his torso was a lucky point blue hoodie with a brown leather belt that allowed his hoodie to met up with his denim pants and orange combat boots. As he stood up, it could be seen that he had on a pair of glasses over his light blue eyes, "Well then… This is a surprise… Where am I?"
Percy sighs, walking forward, "You are in the Londo Bell military complex at ACDC Town. May I ask who you are? I am Percy Jackson."
The male smiles, "Name's Johnathan Wheeler. Nice to meet you." (Post Author's Note 1 for details) He then turns to Hub, "And who may you be?"
"I'm Professor Hub Hikari. Member of the Robot Masters and currently an accidental visitor here."
The man frowns in thought, "Hub Hikari, like the NetNavi ? Interesting, there were some rumors from my allies in the Power Riders that there was a potential timeline where you came to Earth. So, by the look of things, I am in the middle of the Stellar War. Although, you would know it by the Ranger War? Probably another timeline version based on the fact that I have no records of a Hub Hikari being here or that there was a need for this Command Center until about the end of the War."
"It looks like they discarded the Copy Bot project around here. In fact, my teenage counterpart should be arriving any minute now."
Percy grins, "Ah. So you are a future Rider then?"
The man nods, "Yes, and no for sake of timeline stability. Since this type of time travel is very unknown I will not be revealing my Rider form unless needed."
Percy nods, "Fair enough, I mostly wanted to make sure I was on the right track of mind."
"So, between you and the bunch of Enterprises up there, what's going on?"
The man blinks in confusion, "Enterprises? What? I thought Star Trek was fiction."
Percy groans as he cups his face, "Oh you have got to be kidding me…"
"So you're in the dark just like us. Should we expect some Aura Battlers next? Mazinger Zero?"
The man shrugs, "At least, for the Enterprises. I know of the result of the War. Also, I would love to see a mecha appear which wasn't related to the Powered Heroes."
"From what I understand, this Earth has plenty. Maybe some from my Earth will show up too eventually if I'm gone for too long."
Percy just sighs, pressing his comm button on his chair, "Dr. Oliver? Are you there?"
Dr. Oliver snorts from the comms, "Oh, you got a new guest again?"
Percy groans, "Yea, and from another timeline. Not even from the Enterprises' version to our knowledge."
Dr. Oliver sighs, "Ok… Thanks. Also, if we get any comms from the Enterprises, they are being directed to your Command Center. If only because our meeting is busy with Dr. Hikari here trying to beat the crap out of the engineering department." The comms go offline.
Percy turns and smirks at Hub, "Guess you were right about that engine source issue."
"Are those Enterprises even from the same timeline? If we were able to identify all of them and their captains then…"
Percy shrugs, "Might not fully matter given that to our knowledge, the Star Trek shows were made before most of the timeline splits."
"One man's reality is another man's fiction. But we shouldn't go into this expecting them to be a perfect match."
Percy snorts, "Oh definitely, but it makes our chances of understanding far more likely given they know more or less what we have to base our information off of."
"So we need to get a line to them and try to figure out why they're here. If we send a transmission from here they'll be able to pick it up."
Percy nods, "Go for it."
Johnathan shrugs, "While my timeline might be a tad off, I probably could help out here. Any station you want me to handle, sir?"
Percy turns to him, "How good are you with radar?"
Johnathan smiles, "Not my best skill but it's fine enough."
Percy smiles, "Just make sure we don't have any surprises."
Johnathan gives a salute and runs to the radar station.
"Military type, huh?" Hub comments while starting up the communications programs.
He shrugs, "Not technically. My Power Rider stuff is sorta militarized but it's more or less just something I learnt about how to do so from my grandfather who was in the Canadian navy back in World War 2."
"You mean against the Germanic supremacists? I made the mistake of trying to read about the history of other Earths. Things always seem to get crazy around the 1930s but a lot of details are different."
Percy grins, "More or less. Although this Earth's World War 2 is a lot more complex due to having like 90,000 plus religious sects plus another 120,000 plus Demigods around. But, the main issue was Nazis, or Germanic supremacists and their allies, versus the majority of the rest of the world."
"My world had some problems with them too, but that was about two hundred years ago. It basically ended with half the world stomping on them and a revolution finishing them off from the inside. Then the Eurasian technocrats tried to impose their idea of sterile, mechanical perfection and a lot of blood was spilled."
Percy turned to him, "Honestly, we're still not fully sure what happened at the end of the European Front. All we know is that when the Allies invaded Berlin that they found the leader, Adolf Hilter here, dead in his main office with a pistol bullet hole on each side of his head: front, back, and sides."
"Funny thing. In half the Earths I've read about, this crazy commando ends up infiltrating whatever bunker he's in and killing him. Sometimes it's under the capital, sometimes it's under an old castle, other times in an underwater base or even in Venus, but the result is the same."
Jonathan speaks up, "We know it was not an Allied or Axis attack. All sides gave our missions for every team in general."
"I don't know then. Aliens? Time travelers? Secret organizations?"
Percy snorts, "We began to suspect time travel until we found out that any group or individual who has access to it is literally unable to do that. Something about the very nature of the universe prevents that."
"No idea then. But does the name Blazkowicz mean anything to you?"
Jonathan gave a grin, "Yes but not exactly in a way you're expecting. He was a POW in World War 2 who was sent to a mission in Berlin but got caught by the Italians and sent to Rome. Where he killed the Italian's leader. Later on, he was made famous due to the records leaking and a video game based on his journey was made although they choose to have him go to Hilter's base instead in the game."
"Different dictator, same result. In fact, from what I've read, on some Earths he either became Captain America or worked closely with him."
Percy snorts, "In theory, the idea of Captain America in some fiction could've been based on him."
"Not that a man like that would need any Super Soldier Serum."
Percy snorts, "I still am of the opinion that he was a son of Ares."
"Not every remarkable person has a divine heritage, you know. But I can see why you'd think that."
Percy shrugs, "It's been a 9 out of 10 times been right, on average, mindset. Anyway, Hub, you mind seeing if we can turn on the visual probes and stuff to get a visual of the battle and of the Enterprises? I didn't want to risk our only main source of intel for space due to this."
"It may be easier if you tell me what kind of systems we have here rather than me stumbling around until I find them. My brain is faster than a human's but it's still time consuming."
Percy snorts, "I mean, there's a giant button with the word 'Visual' in giant letters on it. This was designed for dylexic people."
"Yes, but that could mean a lot of things and this OS layout is different from what I'm used to."
Percy grins, "I'll tell the developers of this to adjust the systems to your needs. It's not that bad for us. This probably needs to be updated anyway. This is like nine or ten years old anyway."
"I should be able to adjust it myself once I get used to it. OK, let's see. Launching probes."
Percy nods, "Thank you. Also, seriously. I rather see it updated anyway. It's definitely out of date. None of the other Navis like it either."
"Now instead of waiting for them to do their thing, there's a quicker way."
Hub's eyes slightly light up and he flashes a mischievous grin.
"Assuming direct control."
Percy shrugs, "Don't mess up the code, this is the Base OS Code here. Rather not explain the changes to the Brass."
"No worries. I'm not changing anything. Just interfacing with the system more directly."
Percy nods, "Just letting you know the situation on the code. How's that visual coming?"
"Cleaning up the image now. It looks like our visitors are coming down here."
Percy blinks, "Oh? I thought that the Enterprises weren't given a planet landing mode?"
"Well, they're entering orbit, so I figure someone will be beaming down soon enough."
Percy nods, "Might as well get visual up on Mainscreen…"
"Here you go. Also got rid of some ambient interference."
(Author's Note: These are not the full descriptions, these are basic descriptions to give enough detail to explain the differences to everyone while giving a view to those who are not in the Star Trek fan base)
Percy gave him a nod, watching as the main screen showed four separate Enterprises. The first one was definitely easily notable as being the NX-01 Enterprise for anyone who had seen the series as it was definitely the oldest looking ship in terms of the design and sleekness of the spaceship. While the overall shape of the NX-01 was the same as in the show, there was a definite more sleek look to it when compared to the show. It looked a lot more like the show version of the NCC 1701-D in terms of sleekness and design work.
The next ship in the line was clearly the NCC 1701 from the Original Series in terms of shape and design. One could tell that it was far more technologically advanced than the NX-01 but the designers were definitely banking on Star Trek nostalgia with it. Following that was the NCC 1701-D although one would be easily able to confuse it with a future model of the Enterprise because it was the furthest from the original TV or movie design. It was only able to be known as the NCC 1701-D Enterprise because it was placed on the ship's front, back, bottom, sides, and even on a flag it had floating in space. Percy personally thought they had used the design (Shape only, not size) of the NCC 1701-J as a basis.
The final ship was far more unique in its design, color scheme, and layout. It was neon pink with a purple swirl on the saucer. The nacelles were white and grey. It was very unique in its design but it seemed to be using the base design of the USS Voyager and placed it in the center of Deep Space Nine.
Percy gave a low whistle, "Damn, those are beautiful. What do you think, Hub?"
"I'm… not sure what to think of that last one, but they do look like something out of the source material for the most part."
Percy nods, "True, I suspect that they used our designs and stuff to build off of. Probably used some fan designs in some areas."
"And we've got an incoming energy pattern. I can guess what it is, even if we don't have these back home."
Percy nods, "Looks like our tech for the Comms is shot for off-world conversations… Did we recieve any form of communication attempts?"
"We've got a signal. See for yourself."
Percy nods, walking over to read the report, before groaning, "Mind setting it to Ancient Greek for me?"
"OK, but if these readings are correct, that other you is the one coming down."
Percy snorts in amusement, "If this is actual time travel then this is a closed loop paradox or something. Anyone else being noted?"
"Doesn't look like it. Anyway, they're trying to talk to us from up there. On screen."
Percy shrugs while turning to look at the screen from the captain's seat, "Londo Bell Command Center Alpha here. Come in."
Suddenly three bridges appear on screen, Percy grins as he notices that the three bridges are definitely a lot more technologically advanced versions of the ones from the show for NX-01, NCC 1701, and NCC 1701-D.
From the NX-01, Captain Archer speaks up, "We see and hear you just fine, Londo Bell Command Center Alpha. This is Captain Archer of the NX-01 Enterprise."
From the NCC 1701, Captain Kirk speaks, "No issues with our Comms here, Londo Bell. This is Captain Kirk of the NCC 1701 Enterprise."
From the NCC 1701-D, Captain Picard speaks, "All fine with the signal here, Londo Bell. This is Captain Picard of the NCC 1701-D Enterprise. The Macross-Class Enterprise is not equipped with a Comms Station due to it being considered to dangerous for their systems. Captain Jackson is beaming to Transporter Alpha, how far is that to the Command Center?"
Percy frowns but looks at Hub, "Hub, how far is that? I have never gone to the Transporter Alpha location yet. I usually use Beta."
"It's on the other side of the complex."
Percy winces, "You able to get a lock on Captain Jackson? I know Beta is only 90 meters away. You think you could get him there?"
"I don't even know if we have a way to redirect someone else's transporter beams. It might be simpler to ask the Enterprise people to beam him closer."
Percy shrugs, "He in the process of the transport or no? If not, where's the current location of Captain Jackson, if on Earth. He can't be that hard to notice given that the Combadge or Communicator would have an unique signal compared to anyone else here."
"He's in transit right now. That energy pattern I picked up just now?"
Percy nods, "Let's just get him from the Transporter then. Be quicker to do that than anything."
"So do we have one of our own down here? Let's see..."
Percy shrugs, "Currently, we have 3. Alpha, Beta, and Gamma."
"OK, that makes more sense. I thought they were just recieval areas, but it turns out this interface is just confusing. There. I'm just bringing him straight here."
Percy nods, "In theory, they are mainly for recieving guests but we were willing to test it if needed to transport people in matters of geological disasters."
"You know… We could probably have saved a lot of time if we just tracked the staff's badges and beamed them in."
Percy shrugs, "I don't mind. This isn't that uncommon for the first meeting of ships."
Captains Archer, Kirk, and Picard nod in confirmation.
Captain Kirk speaks, "It's common to do this to avoid any issues with culture."
"So, what brings all of you here?"
Captain Picard grimaces, "Q,"
Percy gave a face, "Ah…"
"And here comes the other you."
Percy nods, "Thank you."
The door opens and in steps, another Percy dressed in a Captain's outfit and with a mustache, "Sorry about that…"
Percy nods to him, "Greetings Captain Jackson."
Captain Jackson groans at the greeting but sighs, "I hate that name but it's the only damn way to keep us separated…"
Percy grinned at him, "Not my fault you are the only Percy here with a title that is usable."
Captain Jackson groans, again, "I should have sent my Vulcan First Officer instead. Stupid Vulcan using logic and winning that game of Rock, Paper, Scissors."
A female voice from the NX-01 could be heard shouting in annoyance, while Captain Archer just looks back at her smirking in victory, "WHAT?!"
Hub just blinks and watches the exchange.
Captain Picard clears his throat, "Anyway, we need some help with adjusting to this timeframe. And before you ask, this is a split timeline for us. Otherwise, same timeline."
Percy nods, "I assume you guys will want off your ships right?"
Captain Archer shrugs, "My crew definitely will. But we have the slight advantage of us being the easiest to switch to your time frame. We can be noted as dimension hoppers if needed. It'll be the other two Enterprises that will lead to the issues. The Londo Bell Enterprise is basically a planet in there so they will be fine."
Percy groans as he rubs his forehead, turning to Hub, "Hub?"
"A planet? It doesn't look bigger than the others, so what's the deal? Bigger on the inside?"
Captain Jackson shrugs, "Can't answer even I could. It's literally above the pay grade of even the Fleet Admiral of Starfleet and Gilliam Yeager."
"Well, considering that I'm acquainted with several dimension jumpers, including a Celestial who calls himself keeper of knowledge, I can make an educated guess."
Captain Jackson nods, "Feel free to. The ship was one we found in the Alpha Sector and used by Londo Bell. We barely understand it. Not even our best Vulcan scientists understand it. The only thing we know is that it's not of this universe."
"You found it? Just like that? Were there any signs of previous occupants?"
Captain Jackson nods, "Plenty, even still got the logs from them. Same deal. We can follow the Captains via their logs of the Ship back nearly 900,000,000,000,000 Earth Standard Years. That's when the data storage devices automatically deleted the data to make room for our data."
"What? How does a ship even stay operational for that long? It sounds like you're dealing with time traveling shenanigans there."
Captain Jackson shrugs, "I mean, each of the previous owners adds their technology to it and stuff. There's a database just for repairs and technological advances. We can't access it and we don't repair the ship. It automatically repairs itself. One of the Captains was a Gallifreyan, though not a Time Lord."
"This is going to take a while to digest. But so, this Q. From what I understand he's some kind of cosmic troll. Is this more of the usual shenanigans or is there another reason you all ended up here at this point in time?"
Captain Picard smiles, "Thankfully, he was serious and straight forward. Your arrival nearly ruptured our universe's fabric of space-time. We're here to help out."
Hub blinks. "My arrival? How could the arrival of one person cause so much damage?"
Captain Picard sighs, "Simple, you're from another multiverse to ours."
"How? I helped build the other gateways we've been using. I studied the schematics and the theory. There was no way the energy they use would have been enough for something like that."
Captain Picard nods, "Q says that it wasn't the 'Gateway' used that was messed up but an outside force causing the issue. He suspects it's an interdimensional being that's trying to get free which is even older than the Q are."
"This lends more weight to my suspicions that some external force is using this Earth as their sandbox playground."
Percy shrugs, "Be that as it is, we exist so we just got to do what we can to live. It's not that much different than my parents being an immortal which shouldn't exist by technicality."
"So this interdimensional being… What do you know about it?"
Captain Picard shrugs, "There is no information. It's just a guess by the Q."
Captain Archer turned to his First Officer, the Vulcan female who spoke up, "T'Pol, what are your thoughts on this situation?"
T'Pol sighed, "I would have a much more difficult time with understanding it but given our past with the Temporal Cold War, honestly this is far more believable."
Captain Kirk turned to a Vulcan Male, his own First Officer, "Spock?"
Spock gave a low eyebrow raise at the sight of T'Pol, "I believe that the First Officer of the NX-01 Enterprise said it best. Although, the question is how do we handle the situation."
"Just a guess? He sent all of you here based on a guess?"
Captain Picard frowns, "No, more like he's sent us here to help prevent more damage from your presence here in our multiverse."
"I'm not sure what kind of damage my presence could cause. If anything, the damage was done when I was thrown in here through dimensional walls, but I can't do anything about that from here."
Captain Picard shrugs, "It's more like your body kept the damage of the wall on you. According to Q, it's keeping you here. Our current mission is to figure out how to remove it."
"How does that even work?"
Percy snorts in amusement, "I think I get it. You know how people remain wet when they leave a body of water? Probably the same concept but on a stupidly complex scientific level."
"You mean on a timey-wimey plot bullshit level, pardon my language?"
Percy grins, "Beyond that. I mean quantum science."
"Same thing, different words. Quantum science is one of the areas where all the boundaries get blurred and the ridiculous becomes possible. Believe me, I'd know. Sometimes I feel a little dizzy just from studying the intricacies of the Variable Weapons System and a few other things."
Percy shrugs, "Meh, if you want to learn more. I would suggest talking with the Trek guys. They probably know that far better than us."
Captain Jackson snorts, "This is beyond our level of quantum science. If this would count, there's a lot of room in science. And this coming from the guys in the ship which has nearly more than nine hundred million civilizations worth of science research."
"I suggest we get everyone down here and get comfortable then. I get the feeling this is going to take a while…"
Percy nods, "You mind letting the guys with Dr. Oliver know, Hub?"
"On it."
Percy turns to the viewscreen, "The three Enterprises here are free to transport to the Londo Bell site." He then smirks at Captain Archer, "And I wouldn't recommend using a Shuttle. The Russians have been shooting down any non-Earth vessels that aren't known to them."
A male snort is heard off-screen from the NX-01 Enterprise as Captain Archer shrugs, "Sounds about right for them."
While the others are talking, Hub opens a channel to inform Tommy of the situation as succinctly as possible. It doesn't take long until a loud sigh is heard from the other side.
Dr. Hikari says, "Make sure to get them to try and not raise a ruckus. I would rather not have to explain this to my other non-Londo Bell colleagues about this."
A blue transporter beam appears behind Percy.
