Hi everyone! Sorry that it took a while to get this up. I had to rewrite the whole thing when my notes app crashed. I also noticed that the division between scenes in the story didn't actually show when I posted the stories. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

'Okay, Nathan Grant, today's the day,' Nathan psyched himself up as he walked over to the cafe, where he had seen her enter.

Hannah had been in town for a week, and seemed to be enjoying it, because she hadn't mentioned leaving to any of the town members that she was getting to know.

As for Nathan, he couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Miss Gray," he began, "could I talk to you? Maybe somewhere a little more- private?" He had just noticed Florence and Rosemary watching him from across the room.

"Of course, Constable. Please, call me Hannah." She smiled a sweet smile at him, making it hard for him to keep his eyes off her.

"I was wondering- well, hoping, maybe, if you'd like to- you know. If you'd like to join me for dinner one day soon?" He asked nervously once they were outside.

"You know what? I'd love that. When were you thinking?" She asked straightforwardly but sweetly.

"Uhh- would tomorrow night suit you?" He raised his eyebrows

"That's perfect." She grinned a crooked grin at him

"I'm sorry, Hannah, but I have to go do my rounds now. See you later?"

"Of course."

"Oh, and Hannah? It's Nathan."

The next day crawled by for both Nathan and Hannah as they anticipated their date. Finally six o'clock came around, and they met at the cafe.

"Take a walk with me?" Nathan smiled as Hannah approached him.

"Oh, I will." Hannah laughed.

They walked around the pond to a spot where there was a picnic blanket waiting for them, with candles all around. From that spot was a perfect view of the sunset.

"How romantic of you, Constable." She acted formal, but inside they both knew it was pretence.

"Tell me more about yourself." Nathan said to Hannah as they settled themselves on the blanket

"I'm actually a detective, I was only supposed to be here for a few days, but I decided to extend my stay. I'm quite enjoying myself here, and am even considering moving here. I was waiting for a sign to move from my home back in Tiffany Creek. Maybe this town is it." She said

"Oh, wow. That's good that you might move here. It would be nice to have You around." He smiled sincerely at her, "Tiffany Creek is nice though, I heard there's good fishing around there. I like to fish." He explained

"Really? I like fishing too. My mother died when I was an infant, so it was just me, my brother, and my father. He taught me to fish when I was just young." She was excited about this common ground they had just discovered, and accidentally shared too much. It wasn't that she was hiding anything, but that her aunt had told her never to reveal too much about oneself unless the other person volunteers information too.

"Oh, I'm sorry about you mom. My sister died when her daughter was small, so I understand. Her daughter, Allie, lives with me now. I adopted her, since her father cares for no one but himself." Nathan shared.

"That's an honourable thing to do, adopting her." Hannah smiled, imagining what an amazing father he would be.

"Thanks." He blushed. Constable Nathan Grant blushing had to be the cutest thing she'd ever seen in her life, Hannah decided.

"Nathan is going out for a date with the new girl in town." Jack told Elizabeth, who was laying peacefully in his arms.

"I talked to her a few times. She seems lovely." Elizabeth replied

"I think he's already fallen. Hard." Jack said

"I hope she doesn't break the poor man's heart." She said, remembering how broken Nathan had been when he had just moved to Hope Valley.

"I saw her looking at him from across the street a few days ago. She seemed to fancy him too. Maybe it's true love." He joked

"Jack! You sound just like Rosemary!" She laughed, slapping playfully on his arm. She rolled over and pressed her lips against his.

Quickly, things started to get deeper, as they kissed passionately. Jack's hand slid down her back and around her waist. Her hands slid up his chest, she felt his heart beating, hard and fast, and his muscles tensing as her cool hands brushed across them. Just then he sneezed, and they both lay back on the bed, laughing uncontrollably. They lay side by side, enjoying each other's warmth.

"Do you remember our first date?" Elizabeth asked Jack

"Of course. I even gave you that flower." He answered

"The Mountie Christmas Ball?"

"You looked amazing in that blue dress."

"The night we got engaged?"

"Oh, I used a whole lotta candles."

"And our wedding night?"

"How could I forget? You looked so beautiful, especially when you took your dress off." He teased

"I don't look like that anymore, do I?" Elizabeth asked, pulling the blankets self-consciously over her exposed body.

"No you, don't." Jack said, "Not the same, but just as perfect, wonderful, and beautiful. You have a mother's body now. Just the body I want my wife to have." He reassured her.

"Thank You, Jack. That really made me feel better."

"So how was you date with Hannah?" Jack asked Nathan the next morning

"Perfect." He stared dreamily out the window, watching Hannah pass

"Somebody's in love." Jack teased. He'd never seen his best friend so happy.

"You sound like Rosemary." Nathan said, still obviously distracted

"Funny thing, Elizabeth told me the same thing last nights."

"Well, of two people say the same thing, it must be true."

"Haha, very funny. Now, tell me more about you dinner."

"She said she's a detective. She likes fishing, and the outdoors in general. She likes children. She is hoping to move here from Tiffany Creek." Nathan shared, but not too much, for he didn't want to betray Hannah's trust.

"I had dinner with Constable Grant last night." Hannah told Elizabeth. Elizabeth had invited Hannah over to her house, knowing she would want someone to talk to after her date.

"How was it?" Elizabeth asked.

"It was really good. I think I might- love him." Hannah admitted.

"That was fast, but if you truly do, don't waste any time." Elizabeth advised

"He's so handsome." She said dreamily, thinking about him,

"Mounties tend to be." Elizabeth laughed.

"Oh Lee, I'm feeling terrible today!" Rosemary groaned

"I'm sorry, Rosie, did you drink some water?" Lee asked lovingly

"Yes, I did." She rolled her eyes

"I need to go to work now. Will you be okay without me?" Lee grabbed his briefcase

"Oh, I'll be fine." She said dramatically

But Rosemary felt horrible on the inside, and as soon as Lee

left, she ran out the back door and threw up on the grass.

Suddenly it struck her. Could she be pregnant?

She decided to go visit Carson, careful that Lee didn't see her in town.

"Oh Carson!" She burst into the infirmary, "I think I'm pregnant."

"Well, why don't you come here and I'll examine you." He tried not to laugh at her exaggerated movements as she plopped herself on the examination table.

He carefully examined her, hmm-ing and huh-ing.

"When was your last monthly cycle?" He asked her

"Oh, I don't know. Mine are never on time." She said

"Well I think you really are pregnant." Carson told her

Rosemary sat up quickly, "Oh Carson! Thank You! I'm so happy!" She jumped up from the table and hugged him, not noticing her blouse was still unbuttoned, and the sheet she had been covered with was barely clinging to her waist.

"Uhh- Rosemary, you might want to..." He gesture to her skirt in the corner of the room

"Oh, yes, of course." Her cheeks turned bright red.

Faith stood in the corner laughing quietly.

"So you say I'm really pregnant?" Rosemary asked once she was fully clothed again.

"Yes, even about 3 months along. I'm surprised you didn't find out until now. You're even starting to grow a little bump."

"I have been nauseated a lot lately, but I thought I had just caught the flu, or something. As for the bump, I thought it was just bloating. I always get bloated before my monthly cycle." She explained.

As Rosemary walked home, everything in the world seemed happy. The birds in the trees, the rabbits the hopped here and there, the people crossing the streets, the flowers facing the sun.

'I'll make a special dinner tonight, then l'll tell Lee, and we can celebrate.' She thought

The day dragged along slowly for Rosemary as she waited for Lee to arrive home. Finally the door squeaked open and Lee stepped inside.

"Lee! Come and sit, I have everything ready for us to eat." She said enthusiastically.

"Okay, okay, Rosie, just let me get changed?" He started upstairs, panicking, trying to figure out what special occasion he had forgotten.

Rosemary sat impatiently at the table.

Lee came down and sat.

"Lee, I made us a special dinner tonight, to celebrate. I have some exciting news."

"Really? That sounds good. I'm starving." He rubbed his hands together, "First, let's give thanks for the food. It's your turn."

"Dear Lord, we thank you for this food. Please protect our family and friends wherever they may be. Amen." She prayed. She was tempted to ask for their baby's protection too, but she decided to wait, and follow her original plan.

They ate their dinner without much conversation, enjoying Rosemary's good cooking. When they were finished, Lee got up, Thanking Rosemary.

"Wait! Lee! There's dessert." She said, pushing him back into his seat.

She brought out the cake, decorated with a man, a woman, and a baby's face, and the words 'our family' beneath the three faces.

"Our family?" He was confused

"Lee! How could you not understand?" She scolded, annoyed.

"I don't understand." Lee said

"We are going to have a BABY." Rosemary said loudly

"Us?" Lee laughed in shock

"Yes, us."

"Oh Rosie! I'm so happy!" Lee lifted her off her feet

"We are going to be parents!" Rosemary leaned in to kiss Lee.

That evening in bed, they lay together, fascinated by the small bump that would soon be their little baby. A perfect combination of each of them.

"You are going to be a wonderful daddy." Rosemary looked up at Lee.

"Your going to be a wonderful momma." Lee smiled down at Rosemary.
