"Last time on Total Drama Revenge of the Island! A bunch of baffling buffoons battled it out to breach and reach sky high!" A scene played off Jo climbing, and B constructing his mechanism. "Along the way a couple of tensions caused a few fights!" The scene mostly focused on Fran glaring daggers at Anne Maria. "Some actions caused some relationships to turn a little bit tight!" The final scene panned on Zoey's heartbroken face looking at Mike and Anne Maria kissing. "Whose soaring to the peak of their height? Let's find out and discover the light! On Total. Drama. Revenge of the Island!"

(Theme Song)

The scene panned into the middle of the night, audible sobbing sounds could be heard as the camera zoomed in on the girls side of the maggots. Zoey noticeably had tears rolling down her eyes, her eyes puffy. She cried onto Fran's shoulder who had offered her comfort.

"I-I-I j-just don't get it…" Zoey cried quietly, not wanting to wake up the other girls.

Fran patted Zoey's shoulder, but remained silent.

XXX

*Confessional: Fran*

"I've been thinking it over." The girl first began, twirling the braid of her hair. "About committing to this plan, it seemed like such a good plan on paper but I don't know if I'm crossing a line." She bit her lips nervously, uncertain about her next decision.

XXX

"You know what you need to do?" Fran whispered, "Stop crying over a boy who didn't care about you."

"Bu-"

"Not buts Zoey!" Fran whispered loudly, "Are you telling me that Mike cares about you after having a make out session with Anne Maria in front of you? That's not someone who cares, that's someone who's taking advantage of you!" She pursed her lips as she delivered the finishing blow. "Do you really want to be the next Duncan, Courtney and Gwen? I would think carefully about whether Mike's worth keeping around. I'm sure Courtney has a lot of regrets about Duncan, you don't need to have lots of regrets about Mike. The sooner you vote him off, the better you're going to feel."

"I'll feel better after v-voting off M-M-Mike?" Zoey questioned desperately, a shake to her voice.

Fran pulled Zoey into a hug and whispered into her ear, "Yes, because getting a relationship on this show isn't worth it. Just focus on your friends like me and Cameron and Brick, you'll begin to feel better the sooner you forget."

"The sooner I forget…"

XXX

*Confessional: Zoey*

"Maybe Fran's right?" Zoey questioned, rubbing her arms uncomfortably, "Mike's just a bad memory I need to forget as soon as he's voted off. No biggie. Really..."

XXX

Meanwhile, Mike sat at the campfire, a hollow look on his face.

"You don't look so good."

Mike could only glare as he turned to look at his companion, "I really don't need the obvious pointed out to me Dawn."

Dawn sat cross legged on one of the logs, resting her head against the palm of her hand. "I disagree, you know what is hurting your relationship and you refuse to do anything about it."

The Brooder could feel himself getting angrier as he stood up and attempted to tower over Dawn in a threatening manner, "Don't you DARE, tell me I'm not doing anything."

"What are you doing then?" Dawn asked innocently, not at all threatened by Mike's antics.

Mike could feel himself sinking to the floor as he shrugged helplessly, "Giving Zoey space?"

"And then?" Dawn urged.

Mike just looked defeated, "And then get voted off so that she never has to see my face again?"

Dawn huffed in annoyance, crossing her arms impatiently, "That is the worst plan you could possibly have come up with." She pointed out bluntly, "Do you intend to run away everytime your relationships get difficult?"

"What else am I supposed to do!?" Mike strained out, gulping as he took some heavy breaths.

Dawn quickly took his hands into her own, forcing him to look her in the eyes. "If you refuse to do it the right way, we can take steps to mend your relationship before ripping the bandaid off. Will you listen to my advice?"

Mike seemed reluctant, but out of pure desperation he nodded his head.

Dawn nodded in a satisfied manner. "Good. You were right about the first step, Zoey needs space to process her own feelings right now. I'll talk to her myself when the opportunity arises. Secondly you need to either tell Anne Maria to back off or ignore her entirely. The more you string her along, the more difficult Zoey will find it to forgive you. Thirdly you need to focus on yourself and stop being obsessed over Zoey."

Mike opened his mouth to object, but Dawn cut him off, "You are obsessed. You need somebody other than Zoey to talk to."

"I have you don't I?" Mike mumbled.

"You know as well as I do that is not a liable option at this current stage of the game." Dawn argued, "I have a personal recommendation, you should make friends with Cameron."

Mike seemed taken aback as he recoiled in surprise, "You want me to make friends with that dweeb? Not Brick?"

"Brick won't give you the emotional connection you acquire in friendships, Cameron will. You said you would take my advice." Dawn pursed her lips.

Mike held his hands up in defeat, "Okay, fine, fine, I'll be friends with… Cameron. How does this fix my relationship with Zoey?"

"Mike." Dawn started seriously, "This is not a 'fixing' phase, this is a 'healing' phase. You will begin to heal when you stop trying to fix yourself."

Suddenly, an air horn was blown all across camp, startling the pair as they looked at each other and immediately began running back to camp.

"RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" Chris screamed manically as everyone out of their cabins. Mike and Dawn ran back to camp together, causing two pairs of eyes to glare.

"Fraternising with the enemy are we?" Scott sneered as Dawn took her place.

She pointedly ignored him, causing Scott's sneer to turn into a glare.

Zoey's glare struck daggers at both Dawn and Mike, scoffing and looking away as Mike looked at her. Fran patted her shoulder approvingly.

"THE TENSION!" Chris laughed, observing how unfriendly the campers looked towards one another, "Perfect time for a challenge!"

"Now!? In the middle of the night…?" Brick said quickly, a nervous look flashing over his face. "When it's all… You know? Dark?"

His team gave him unimpressed looks.

XXX

*Confessional: Brick*

"Ever since I was born I've hated the dark," Brick's confessional opened up, "With the creaks and the 'who's that!' and an-and uh, 'get away'" The lights cruelly went out, causing Brick to panic.

XXX

"Your challenge is a scavenger hunt for three creepy souvenirs! Your locations? A haunted forest, a scary pet cemetery and an extra spook-tastic cave!" Chris explained. "First team to each location will get a special clue, but watch out for booby traps, I really went into town with them, heh heh." He laughed to himself, "So move back and stick together! You will be penalized for each player you lose."

"We're a team of five? And they have seven players, that's like so not not fair yah?." Staci interrupted, noticing the size difference. "My great aunt Barbara was a mathematician, and she would have said this was unfair."

Chris groaned. "Lucky for you Staci, you having fewer members is an advantage! If both teams happen to lose all of their members except one, the toxic rats would automatically win!"

The toxic rats seemed happy at this proposition, minus Scott who looked unhappy.

"That's totally bogus McLean!" Jo objected indignantly. She looked back to her teammates. Zoey was still crying with Fran consoling her, Brick looked ready to faint and Mike just looked depressed. Only Cameron and Anne Maria looked to be in any functioning condition. "How am I supposed to win with my team like this?!"

Chris shrugged impishly, "Not my problem~"

Cameron asked the next question as he pointed his finger, "What does the spider represent?"

"Oh yeah," Chris said nonchalantly, "there's some sorta giant mutant spider running around loose on the island with the sole purpose of capturing you!"

Cameron's eyes began to bulge out of his sockets.

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

Cameron looked distressed as he attempted to cover his head, "I have a huge case of arachnophobia! Spiders are just so creepy, literally! Anything with that many legs must be evil!" He shuddered, with a spider dangling above, it hissed causing Cameron to scream his lungs out.

XXX

"One final thing before the challenge begins!" Chris said, "Poor Chef hasn't hunted any kids in a long time and he just so happens to have teamed up with the mutant spider to capture you kids!"

Chef came in with a wicked grin and a bazooka looking gun along with a sack bag.

"Couldn't Chef capture all of us that way?" Scott asked curiously, an idea coming to mind.

Chris grinned, "True! Unlike the spider however, Chef has a limitation! Each time Chef hunts you down he will be aiming to capture at least one camper, you could try to save your captured teammate, but if Chef overpowers you he's allowed to take you as well!"

"I'm done with questions, as soon as the air horn goes off the challenge begins!" Chris hurried his explanation, "GO!"

The campers took off, leaving Chef to clean his bazooka while the others ran off to hide from him.

The scene flashed into the day of night, running footsteps could be heard as Lightning ran in the front followed closely by Scott, who was followed by Staci, Dawn and B respectively.

"WOO! FIRST PLACE!" Lightning cheered excitedly.

The loud speaker made a static sound, getting the rats' attention. "Welcome to the haunted forest! Your clue can be found at the base of this tree!" Lightning reached his hand down the hole, yelling in surprise as something ensnared his hand. "In a beartrap! Heh heh!"

Lightning glared, handing the note to Dawn, "Here creepy girl! Read it."

Dawn took the note and was about to read the clue when Jo's voice echoed throughout the forest. "Well, well, what do we have here?" She inquired.

"Hey! Find your own piece of paper!" Lightning scowled, making sure Dawn was behind him so they couldn't steal the clue.

Staci looked over at their team quizzically, "Hey, aren't you like, totally missing BFF Zoey and another girl I don't remember the name of?"

Mike's eyes widened in horror, realizing that Zoey and Fran weren't behind him. He was about to panic and stress out before Jo forcefully covered his mouth, "They went on a pee break, there's two of them, so they should be fine." She played it off nonchalantly. She then addressed her team, "Let the runts have their clue, I have a better idea."

As the maggots lost sight of the rats Mike roughly shoved Jo to the ground, causing Brick to get in between them. "So what's the plan huh? Are we ditching Zoey and Fran? Is that the plan?" He said gnashing his teeth.

Jo got up as she pushed Mike in return, "Hey! It is not my fault Red isn't in the right state of mind because you couldn't keep your lips to yourself!"

"Aye yo, don't you touch him!" Anne Maria scowled, slapping Jo's arm away. "He's just being nice to the little loser!"

Mike scowled and was about to lash out at Anne Maria before being pegged to a net by a tree. "Gah! Hey! Get me out of this thing!" he thrashed around.

The maggots turned to look at Chef who was holding a bazooka with smoke coming out of it. "Are you letting me have him or are we gonna have a little tussle?"

Jo made a split second decision, "Have him! I'm done with him for the night, maggots let's go!"

Jo ran into the forest, Cameron following behind. Brick looked conflicted, on one hand he was scared out of his mind, but on the other he didn't want to ditch Mike. Anne Maria decided that as much as she liked Mike, winning the challenge was more important, so she grabbed Brick's arm and forced him to run, "Let's go buzzcut, we can't all be captured here! Sorry Vito! I'll make it up to ya!"

XXX

*Confessional: Brick*

"I'm such a coward!" Brick said, looking teary eyed as he forced the tears away, "Couldn't save Mike, couldn't stand up to Jo, needing a girl to save me? I don't deserve to be here!"

XXX

The remaining four maggots caught their breaths as Jo tried to reiterate the plan. "As I was trying to say, we should hide behind those rats for the rest of the challenge, and as they're about to win we run past them!"

"Uhh, sounds kinda dumb." Anne Maria.

Cameron grimaced, but spoke up, "Jo isn't necessarily wrong. If we hide behind the rats both the spider and Chef will focus on them so that they don't win. If my calculations are correct, they should be aiming to capture a rat next, which gives us a bit of time."

Jo patted his back appreciatively.

"So where do we h-hide?" Brick stuttered, clenching his fist realising he stuttered.

"Behind that bush! Quick, the rats are coming!" Jo commanded, forcing the rest of the maggots into a thorny bush which they all tried to muffle their sounds of pain.

As they comfortably got into place, Dawn read out the clue, "Inside a knot is a nest, your souvenir lives with a pest. Find polaris and travel north west." Dawn looked up to the rest of her team. "Polaris is the north star, which means we need to go… That way!" She pointed in a direction.

"Lightning will clear the way for danger!" Lightning said as he ran on ahead.

"If my third aunt Esther was here this challenge would be done by now, she knows her stars yah?" Staci rambled, running on ahead. Scott, B and Dawn followed shortly after.

"Quick! They're getting away!" Jo pointed out. They tried to move but all of them were stuck in the bush. Brick, in a panic, picked up the bush with brute strength and ran off carrying the rest of his team on his back.

As the rats were running, Staci looked back, "Inside a nest is a pest, uhh… What was the middle part?" Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks, causing the rest of her team to look at her in confusion. "OH MY GAWD I'M THE FINAL GIRL!"

"What are you ramblin on tubby?" Lightning said harshly.

Scott said. "Dawn's missing! Look! There's the note!"

B picked up the note and handed it to Staci. He looked over the rest of his team remaining: Lightning who was dumber than a pile of rocks, Staci who never shut up, and Scott. He grimaced.

XXX

*Confessional: B*

B mimed being shot in the head, putting his face in his hands in despair.

XXX

"Let's just keep going, it's just the weirdo we lost." Scott shrugged, walking on ahead.

Staci pouted, "But don't we like, totally get a penalty for each member we like, lose?"

Lightning shivered, "Plus ain't there a spider wonderin' around?"

Scott scoffed, looking around, "Pest in a nest? Focus people!"

B pointed wildly in a direction, running on ahead. Staci pointed out the obvious, "I think B like, totally found it!"

"Score!" Lightning said, jumping into the tree to retrieve the next clue.

As Lightning was searching, a big eye from within the tree blinked at him, causing him to scream as tentacles wavered around the tree and grabbed Lightning. It slapped him two times before poking him in the eye. Finally it squeezed his waist, causing him to wheeze.

"OH MAH OH MAH GOD WE'RE GONNA DIE!" Staci screamed, running around wildly as she flailed her arms.

B rolled his eyes. Thinking quickly, he found a rock and with all of his strength through it at the monster's eye. The monster, injured, dropped Lightning with a thud. Lightning narrowed his eyes, quickly climbing the tree again, he said "No calamari does that to the Lightning, Sha-Bam!" and punched his eye making him retreat into the tree again.

Satisfied, Lightning searched inside the cubicle tree again and found the key. "Sha-key!" Before he could jump down, a suspicious web grabbed him and with a scream Lightning was yanked away as he dropped the key.

Staci, realising there was no more danger, calmly walked up to the key and picked up, "I like, so totally found this key guys! Also Lightning's gone, but that was only to be expected." She shrugged.

"Well whatever, let's just go- GAH!" Scott screamed out, a net entrapping him. "Save me guys!"

B knew exactly what decision he was making.

He quickly grabbed Staci's arm and ran in the other direction, leaving Scott to be captured by Chef.

Team maggots saw this from a distance as Chef dragged away a yelling Scott.

"Well, at l-least, they lost a member too." Brick said dejectedly, gulping.

Cameron with a questioning face looked up and pointed, "Look! Team colours!"

"Could be a trap, we should send in our most expendable player." Jo said matter of factly.

Brick crossed his arms, his unibrow creasing as he unnaturally glared, "Nobody's expendable."

Jo took this as a challenge and approached him threateningly, "Do you wanna play nice? Or do you wanna win?" With no hesitation, she grabbed Cameron and threw him into the cubicle.

With a yell Cameron landed into the tree, from within the tree, he was pleasantly surprised to find a key. "A key! This must be the first souvenir. AHHH!" Cameron screamed, noticing a spider on his hand. In a moment of fear he fell from the tree.

Anne Maria, noticing the dropped key, picked up the key and put it inside of her bra. "Good goin' kid, hey prison sweats! Keep your hands to yourself ya hear me? That wasn't cool."

XXX

*Confessional: Anne Maria*

"Oooh, that girl is creasin' me!" Anne Maria first confessed, legs crossed as she snapped her fingers, "Brick might not be attractive, and Cameron might not be athletic but they are still people! She tries anything with me and she's getting beat down!" She smacked a hand into her open palm.

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

"You know, for someone who's kinda vain and shallow, Anne Maria can be kind of considerate." Cameron shrugged, a thoughtful look on his face. "Maybe I should try allying with her?"

XXX

While Brick and Anne Maria attended to Cameron, Jo suddenly felt the feeling of a web at the back of her head and before anyone noticed she was gone. "Jo?" Brick said, noticing her absence. "Jo?!"

Anne Maria shrugged, unconcerned, "It's just Jo, she probably got caught, we should move on ahead."

"B-but shouldn't we search for her?" Brick questioned, a guilty look on his face.

Cameron bit his lip in thought, "She probably got caught by the mutant spider, which means we wouldn't be able to save her even if we wanted to. We should hold hands to avoid any other casualties."

"Yeah, I'm not doing that." Anne Maria deadpanned, walking ahead.

Brick gulped, but nodded, clutching Cameron's hand. "Good idea soldier, let's go!"

Cameron beamed, happy an idea of his wasn't entirely dismissed.

XXX

*Confessional: Brick*

"Cameron's a good kid, I know it isn't manly to hold hands with another guy, but he brought up a good point!" Brick said, a small smile on his face, "We're down four members, us three need to stick together if we want any chance of winning this challenge! Anne Maria being uncooperative was expected, but as long as she's in our sights I'm confident we have the numbers to win!"

XXX

The scene panned over to B and Staci as they tried to run as fast as they could. "L-like, can we slow down a s-sec?" Staci asked, panting heavily.

B nodded, leaning against a tree as he wiped his brow with his arm.

"So like, what are we supposed to do now?" Staci asked her teammate, frowning as she didn't get a response. "I know you like, don't talk, but this is kinda boring not gonna lie."

B rolled his eyes, strolling as he kept a firm clasp on Staci's hand, causing her to blush, "Oh mah gawd B, I'm like, so totally flattered, but I just don't see you that way y'know?"

B just gave her an incredulous look.

XXX

*Confessional: Staci*

"As the final girl I need a romantic interest yah?" She questioned, "But like, B's cool, but he like, never talks. He's like my online friend who never wants to voice chat with me, so so sad!"

XXX

*Confessional: B*

B mimed choking noises, giving the camera an unimpressed look as he crossed his arms.

XXX

B suddenly noticed Anne Maria, Brick and Cameron running on ahead, causing him to shake Staci's shoulder and clasp his hand into hers again.

"B, like, control ya self!" Staci said exasperatedly.

B pointedly ignored her, a deep scowl on his face.

Back with the maggots, the trio found themselves in their next location the loudspeaker spoke up. "Welcome to the Wawanakwa Pet Cemetery!"

As Anne Maria and Brick took a small break, Cameron moved a little ahead to receive their next clue. On it was a piece of paper with numbers on it, all of the 6's and 18 being colour coded red. "Aren't 3 six's supposed to be evil?" He questioned worryingly.

Anne Maria shrugged as she addressed the two boys. "You two should search together while I search alone, we don't have all night to search. It'll be quicker this way and I can handle myself." She cracked her knuckles to prove a point.

XXX

*Confessional: Anne Maria*

"I just needed some 'me' time," Anne Maria's confessional first opened. "I don't hate the boys, but a girl needs a bit of privacy from time to time y'know what I'm sayin'?"

XXX

The scene opened up to Brick tightly holding onto Cameron's hand as they wandered around, much to the smaller boy's pain. "Brick, I know you're scared, but I can't feel the blood circulating between my hands."

"I'm not scared!" Brick shouted defensively, crossing his arms.

Cameron frowned, with a reassuring tone said, "We're all scared of something, but we're going to get through this together okay?"

Brick gulped, but nodded.

The next scene panned over to Staci and B as they stood in front of a coffin. "Do you think we'll find a dead body inside? It better not be boney!" Staci whined, hiding behind B as he opened the coffin. The coffin showed Fang the mutated shark, causing Staci to scream as B quickly closed the door in its face.

In a moment of quick thinking, B opened the door and let Fang out. He quickly grabbed Staci's hand and forced them to run as Fang decided to give chase. As they got near an open grave, B dangled his leg out, causing Fang to trip and fall into the coffin space.

"Oh mah gawd B! That was like, so totally cool!" Staci gushed, thankful she wasn't shark bait. B, not disliking the praise, gave a thumbs up as he walked over to the coffin the shark was occupying earlier.

"Hey guys! I think I found a clue!" Anne Maria shouted out as she stood in front of a coffin. Brick and Cameron quickly made their way over to her and looked at the engraving. "Woah! June 6, 18, 6! I'm no Algebra expert, but ain't that 6, 6, 18, 6?" She questioned smugly.

"Anne Maria, you found it!" Cameron celebrated.

Trying to show off, Anne Maria pointed out another detail, "Look, there's a key hole there too! Yeah! Who's the sharpest tool on the Christmas tree now?"

"You still have the key right?" Brick asked.

Anne Maria nodded, taking the key out of her bra as she inserted the key into the hole. Unexpectedly, a coffin sprang out launching Anne Maria a bit of a distance with an audible thud, causing Brick and Cameron to shudder.

Opening the coffin door, flashlights were discovered. "This should come in handy!" Cameron said happily, taking one for himself and another to hand to Anne Maria as Brick took his flashlight greedily.

"Light! Light! We finally have light!" Brick cried tears of joy, kissing the ground.

"Yeh, yeh, just put the coffin back would ya?" Anne Maria said sorely, rubbing her head.

"Yes ma'am!" Brick saluted, forcing the coffin back into place.

Unbeknownst to the maggot trio, Staci and B had been hiding behind a tree nearby. "That's totally our next clue right?" Staci asked. B nodded, giving the thumbs up.

As the maggots approached the entrance of a cave, the loudspeaker spoke up. "Welcome to your final destination! Muwhahahaha! The clue is just inside the entrance, and down the tunnel, into total darkness! Good luck! You'll need it!"

"D-do we have to go inside?" Brick whimpered.

Anne Maria rolled her eyes, "Stop bein' such a baby! You have a flashlight, be a man and go into the cave!"

"I don't think so suckers!"

Anne Maria, Brick and Cameron all widened their eyes as they turned around and came face to face with Chef's manically grinning face and bazooka.

Anne Maria's face quickly hardened as she pounded a fist into her palm, "I gotta a bone to pick with you! Buzzcut, Bubble Boy, win us this challenge! I'll handle Chef here."

"B-but, we need you to win the challenge!" Brick objected.

"Uhh, I think she'll catch up." Cameron said fearfully as he witnessed Anne Maria pull something out of her hair.

She had equipped herself with two hairsprays.

"Well ain't this gonna be fun missy?" Chef smirked.

XXX

*Confessional: Chef*

"In my time of cooking for these losers I've gone up against that goth girl, delinquent, LeShawna…" He shudders, "Izzy…" He then smirked arrogantly, "I'm gonna take down a girl with hairspray."

XXX

The next scene cut to Chef writhing in pain as he tried to protect his eyes.

"Don'tchu you eva mess with me again!" Anne Maria threatened, the boys cheering for her victory against him.

Suddenly, a web attached itself around Anne Maria's head, causing her to scream as the boys witnessed her getting captured.

"OH NO! THERE'S A SPIDER IN THERE!" Cameron cried out, looking just as fearful as Brick.

Brick, remembering how Cameron tried to cheer him up, gulped as he took the smaller boy's hand. "You told me that we're all scared of something. I'll face my fear of the dark if you face your fear of this spider. How does that sound?"

Cameron blinked, not expecting to be comforted. "That sounds… Are we friends?"

It was Brick's turn to blink in surprise, "We're comrades soldiers, I would never leave a comrade behind!"

Cameron beamed, marching forwards as Brick quickly walked up behind him.

"Hey! I think I found a clue! Ewww!" Cameron said, noticing the clue attached to a supposedly boney body. Discomfort aside, he took the note and began to read: "By hook or by crook the end is near if you look?"

"Looks like we're getting closer to the end soldier, prepare yourself!" Brick said, bracing himself for what they were about to confront.

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

"On an unrelated note to the challenge, I was so happy to make my first friend! It was so liberating!" Cameron said happily, causing him to put on a more serious face, "If we go to tribal I'm protecting Brick at all costs, the amount of kindness he's shown me… I can't let it go to waste!"

XXX

"Hey look! I see the hooks!" Cameron exclaimed happily, pointing ahead. He ran on ahead, "These hooks must be the last souvenirs! I wonder what they're for?"

"CAMERON! LOOK OUT!" Brick shouted.

"What?" Cameron questioned, noticing too late the web wrapping itself around his leg. He was met face to face with the spider, causing Cameron to scream before he was put on a web with the other contestants.

"Who's landed on the web now? Silent guy? Couch potato? Captain peewee? C'mon! Don't leave me hanging!" Was the unmistakable voice of Jo.

"It's just me, string bean." Cameron said dejectedly.

"Wow, you lasted longer than I expected." Jo praised?

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

"That's the nicest thing Jo has said to me! Cameron said excitedly, giving the camera a look as he clutched his arm, "Hey, I'll take what I can get."

XXX

B and Staci quickly ran up behind the petrified Brick, "Oh em gee! Look! There's the next souvenir! I found it yah?" Staci said smugly. She then counted everyone on the web, and everyone on the floor, "OH MAH GAWD I AM THE FINAL GIRL, THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE!"

B forcefully pointed at the mutant spider, causing Staci to look worried, "Woah, I may not be the final girl… I may actually be the FINAL PLAYER STANDING! Thanks, B! You're so considerate!"

B rolled his eyes again and was about to make a move for the hook when he felt the web covering his body, making him immobile.

"Eek! B!" Staci shrieked.

"CAPTAIN PEEWEE GET THE HOOK! THAT'S AN ORDER!" Jo commanded.

"But, b-but, I'll lose the challenge if I go by myself!" Brick said.

Jo grew more agitated, "Then use that chatterbox as a human meat shield!"

"Don't even try it! I like, totally know karate!" Staci growled, using the chopping motion with her hand.

"TUBBY GRAB THE HOOK!" Lightning shouted, "YOU CAN LITERALLY WIN THIS!"

Staci widened her eyes in realisation, "Oh mah gawd, you're like, so totally right!" Staci ran past Brick and pulled a hook out of the stone. Before she could attach it, she felt the feeling of a web covering her body. "Oh no."

"YOU CANNOT BE THAT DUMB!" Lightning yelled out indignantly.

The mutant spider, realising Brick wasn't going to make a move, approached Cameron with poison fangs, causing him to widen his eyes in fright. "You can stand up to it Cam! I believe in you!" Brick encouraged, grabbing a rock and attempting to pelt the mutant spider.

In a yell of fright, Cameron broke out of its web, tackled the spider, and tried to trample it animalistically.

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

Cameron had his arms crossed defensively, "Ahh, adrenaline, nature's super strength formula! Someone should really bottle it!"

XXX

Dropping to the ground, Cameron screamed and braced himself for impact. Instead, he felt two arms gently catching him. Opening his eyes, he saw Brick grinning down to him, "Never leave a comrade behind!"

Cameron nodded, landing on the ground as the two boys quickly ran towards the hook. Brick took a hook out of the stone while Cameron clutched onto his back, and Indiana Jones style, rode down the makeshift zeppelin. After multiple horrors, they finally made it to the end of the tunnel where they both crashed onto the ground with a collective thud.

Both boys groaned in pain, before looking up to find Chris grinning down.

"Well, well, how very interesting! Today's winning team is… THE TOXIC RATS!"

"WHAT!?" The boys said together.

"But we're the only ones here!" Brick objected, an angry look on his face.

Chris cheekily grinned and pointed next to the boys. Unbeknownst to them, in her state, Staci had also ridden the hook down with them.

"Even so! We got here first!" Brick tried to argue.

"Yeah, remember when I said for every member you lose a penalty is given out? You lost five players, Staci lost four, so the rats totally won!"

"TOTALLY!" Staci cheered, breaking out of her web and giving a victory dance.

"NOOOOOOO!"

Meanwhile in the cave, the other contestants had gathered around the mutant spider as they were shocked to learn it wasn't a mutant spider at all!

"Blehhhhh… BOO!" Izzy screamed, laughing maniacally as she clutched her head.

XXX

*Confessional: Cameron*

"Turns out it was just one of the old cast members in a spider costume!" Cameron said as a spider dangled onto his hand, "Thankfully it cured me of my arachnophobia! Although now I'm completely terrified of Izzy!"

XXX

The scene faded into tribal council as Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, Fran, Jo, Mike and Zoey awaited their fates.

"Team Maggot, welcome to your official first ceremony! And this time, somebody will be getting voted off!"

Everyone collectively gulped.

"Mhm, this tension is so thick!" Chris teased, noticing Zoey sulking and Mike looking more awkward than ever. "We know where those lips have been!"

"Shut up!" Mike said harshly.

"Well maybe Jo and Brick wanna kiss and make up?" Chris questioned, noticing the two teens glaring at each other. "Didn't think so!"

"Anyways, since you two don't seem to be disliked, Cameron and Fran will be getting the first marshmallows!"

Cameron and Fran cheered and smiled respectively, taking their marshmallows.

"Hmm… Next one can go to Zoey!"

Zoey widened her eyes, not expecting a marshmallow as it landed on her lap.

"Three marshmallows left… Let's make it two as I give this next one to Mike!"

Mike unenthusiastically caught his marshmallow.

"Brick, you're in the bottom three for failing to win the challenge for your team and allowing your fear of the dark to get the best of you! Jo, presumably, nobody likes you! Anne Maria? You've been involved with a lot of romance dramas, which could be your reason to go? Except it isn't, here ya go Anne Maria!"

Anne Maria blew a raspberry at Zoey, who continued to sulk.

"Brick, Jo, this is the final marshmallow of the evening. Whoever doesn't receive it will be taking the catapult of shame and never to return! The final marshmallow and staying on this island is…"

"... Brick, you're safe!"

"WHAT!?" Jo screamed out indignantly. "YOU JUST VOTED OUT YOUR BEST PLAYER!"

Brick stood up, chest puffed. He stood directly in front of Jo as he talked to her. "You asked me if I'm here to play nice or to lose. You know what I've decided? I might lose, but I'm not playing nice with you any longer Jo."

Jo's mouth was completely agape as Anne Maria whooped and cheered, "You tell her Brick!"

"WHATEVER! SEE IF I CARE! HOPE YOU ALL LOSE!" Jo screamed, walking down the dock in anger.

"You'll have to give me a moment Jo, because you're going to have a buddy joining you!" Chris cheered, causing the other Maggots to collectively scream out. "Don't care! Get your butts back into the voting booths!"

The next scene showed six split screens as Anne Maria, Brick and Cameron voted in the top row while Mike, Fran and Zoey voted in the bottom row. Only Zoey's vote was shown as she showed the camera her vote for "Anne Maria".

Chris hummed to himself as he tallied the votes. "Very interesting! I was not expecting that heh heh!"

"Just get on with it!" Mike groaned.

"Anyways! With three votes against them…"

"... Fran!"

"EH!?" Fran said, startled as Zoey gasped.

"How did that happen!?" Zoey asked fearfully.

Looking around, the culprits were obvious: Anne Maria was unapologetic as she used her nail file uncaringly, Brick looked uncomfortable as he couldn't look Fran in the eyes. But worst of all was Cameron, who looked towards the ground in guilt and shame.

"I see how it is Cam…" Fran spat out bitterly.

"Ah, ah! Before you go Fran, we'll be having one more guest joining you!" Chris said jovially, enjoying everyone's reactions too much as everyone got angry with him. "Hold your horses Maggots! This time, the eliminated party is going to the Rats!"

As Chris said that, the Maggots were surprised to see B, Dawn, Lightning, Scott and Staci walk into the ceremony.

"But we won the challenge!" Dawn objected, hearing the end of Chris' sentence.

"Don't care! Get your butts in the voting booths!"

In a split show of five screens, B and Dawn occupying the top right and top left spaces, Lightning and Scott occupying the bottom right and bottom left spaces, and Staci taking centre stage as she cast her vote.

"Unsurprisingly, with four votes against them…"

"... Staci, you have been voted off!"

"WHAT!?" Staci shrieked, "B-but I won us the challenge!" She said tearfully.

Chris couldn't hold it any longer, "AHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!"

"You're one sadistic man." Dawn told Chris sternly.

"I'M NOT ELIMINATING YOU GUYS!" Chris told Fran and Staci, "However, Fran and Staci will now be swapping teams!"

Scott wolf whistled, liking this result as Fran walked on over to the Rats, "Hey there baby cakes."

"Hi sugarplum!" Fran played along tightly, clenching her fists as she tried to contain her anger.

"OH EM GEE I GET TO BE WITH BFF ZOEY!" Staci screamed out in delight, tackling Zoey in a tight hug much to the redhead's dismay.

Mike gasped, and in an old man voice, "Dag nabbit! The fat girl's on our team!"

"Does this mean I'm not eliminated either…?" Jo questioned unsurely.

"Oh no, you're still eliminated." Chris told Jo plainly, causing the Jockette to roll her eyes and scoff as she walked on over to the catapult of shame.

*Confessional: Cameron*

"Jo wanted me to stand up for myself, so I did." Cameron shrugged innocently, a dangerous glint in his eye as he crossed his arms, "She's had it coming ever since that fake out ceremony! Anne Maria, Brick and I decided we were done with how she treated us so we teamed up to vote her off... Same with Fran." Cameron rubbed his arm uncomfortably, "It wasn't something I wanted to do, but Anne Maria pressured me into it, it was only fair! She helped me get rid of Jo, Fran would understand right?"

Panning over to the catapult, Jo sat in it sulking as she crossed her arms.

"Any final words?" Chris asked.

"Get on with it!" Jo said, her wish being granted as she was immediately thrown into the air.

"I already don't miss her!" Chris said cheerily. "With team Maggots overthrowing their leader, and Fran and Staci swapping teams? Wanna know who I'm gonna catapult off of the island next? You'll have to come back to find out on TOTAL. DRAMA. REVENGE OF THE ISLAND!"

A/N: Well that was a really interesting chapter to write! I'll just jump into it.

Jo was eliminated. Did I end up surprising anyone with this elimination? Originally Anne Maria or Brick were supposed to be voted off here, but one of the reviewers said something along the lines of "Jo better be careful or she'll be kicked off" and it suddenly hit me: why not vote off Jo? I didn't really have any major plans for Jo, and with the way the votes went down I figured it would be a really good blindside for a player who usually gets far! It also helped with the gender ratio issue I was running into as I admittedly wanted to develop too many of the girls and came close to begrudgingly cutting Anne Maria, but I like this result a lot better!

I tried to make sure Brick had a starring role in Jo's elimination as I feel like Brick isn't taken seriously enough as a competitor and I figured with Jo out of the way he wouldn't have anyone remaining to undermine his leadership, at least, not yet anyways. I'm happy I managed to keep around Brick as he was a contender to be voted off this chapter, but thankfully I found something for him to do in the nick of time!

Characters such as Mike, Zoey, Fran, Dawn and Scott definitely took a backseat this chapter as I needed to focus on the more underdeveloped characters such as Anne Maria, Brick, Cameron, B and Staci. It was important I had Staci win the challenge for her team, because by voting her off despite her victory Staci's bitterness will definitely play an effect in future chapters, Fran's included as she definitely took Cameron's betrayal hard despite how nice she was to him.

I think that's all of the noteworthy things I wanted to say? Sorry if this chapter was a little shorter than the previous ones, but trust me, next chapter will probably be my longest one yet!

Shuffollower: Aww! Thank you for the kind words! I hope you enjoy this chapter just as much as the previous chapters!

Have an awesome day!
