Chapter 3:Combined Arms Championship: "Life comes full circle."

Johnnie had spent the last few hours aboard the St Gloriannas carrier going round with The group that is a part of the Tea Garden.

Johnnie:From what I saw of the ship from the sky it seems to be very similar to the ark royal carrier

Darjeeling: Yes all the Sensha-do schools are on Carriers and ours is based on the Ark Royal

Johnnie:(under his breath)Lucky bastards

Darjeeling: Did you say something

Johnnie: No it's cool to see that your the school the ark royal was commissioned to have on

Johnnie: Trenchard is on the HMS Argus

Darjeeling:interesting

They walked past Johnnie's spitfire

Johnnie: this is my spitfire

Rosehip:Yo Johnnie can In Fly in your spitfire it looks so cool desu-wa

Johnnie: You Do know it is a single seat aircraft right Rosehip

Rosehip: i will just fly it in my own then desu-wa

Johnnie:do you even know how hard it is to fly and also I do not want my plane destroyed because of your antics

Assam: How did you even get get a spitfire in this condition they are quite rare to find

Johnnie: I could asked the same about your school and how they get tanks

Assam:Fair point

They carry on there walk

Orange pekoe: How many planes does the school have?

Johnnie: 31 but some are not in the best condition we only barely have enough planes to have the max for the final, though we do have a few in repair and construction though

Assam: What are the different planes?

Johnnie: 7 Spitfires, 3 Scout spitfires, 7 Hurricanes, 6 Mosquitoes, 7Westlands,

1 Gloster meteor

Assam: A gloster meteor only 210 of them were built before the end of the war, How Did you get one

Johnnie: I have some friends in high places let's say

Johnnie:Oh speaking of friends in high places I should tell you something about me and the rest of the school commander of the aviation academies

Darjeeling: and that is?

Johnnie: you know how I said we all come from the nation the school represents

Darjeeling: yes?

Johnnie: that's not the only thing that makes us special, you see we all descend from Aces that fought in WW2 with only one exception

Darjeeling: That person being?

Johnnie: Axel Richtoffen captain of the Hoeppner academy squadron

Assam: the Red Baron?

Johnnie: yes that being an exception because he fought in ww1

Darjeeling: So who do you descend from then?

Johnnie:James Edgar Johnson more commonly known as 'Johnnie' Johnson

Darjeeling: so that is where the Nickname is from.

Johnnie: yeah(he chuckled)

Darjeeling: and you tell us this because?

Johnnie: Being from these family's us commanders have special things we can do during battles that have been passed down.

Assam: so you are naturally better than some pilots

Johnnie: the one problem is when someone's special ability goes out of control. And this Special ability is less based on family and more based on country

Darjeeling: what happens

Johnnie:I will you mine as an example, I have a natural ability to fight back no matter how small the chances of winning are and to never surrender

Darjeeling: Noble cause reminds me of Britain in the war

Assam: so what is the problem then

Johnnie: when in control it is brilliant, when out of control it is terrifying

The girls seemed to be taken aback by this

Johnnie: In short when out of control it makes me become so hell bent on not losing that I get a complete disregard for my safety and the safety of others even potentially going as far as to win by ANY means necessary.

Darjeeling: Surely you have never lossed control

Assam: but then how would you know so much

Johnnie:(lifts up his trouser leg revealing a massive scar from knee to ankle) because I have gone out of control before

The girls seemed slightly distressed at the scar on his leg

Orange pekoe: What happend?

Johnnie:The last time I was in a combined arms tournament

Assam: you have been in one before but I thought this was the first one in Japan

Johnnie:yes because it was not in Japan, combined arms tournaments are popular in Europe its how I first met some of the commanders

Darjeeling: So how did you get the scar

Johnnie: in this tournament SPAA was allowed and was crewed by boys due to them being part of the Aviation schools ground crews and I ended up getting shot down behind enemy lines and soon an SPAA tank was approaching

Darjeeling:what happened?

Johnnie: as I was getting out the plane they fired

Assam: that is not safe though

Johnnie:Exactly it is banned to fire at a crashed plane

Darjeeling: so where does the scar come in

Johnnie: I was hit by a bit of shrapnel from a round

Johnnie: However, My ability activated out of my control

Orange Pekoe: What happened when you lost control

Johnnie: You know how I said when out of control I have no regard for the safety of myself and others

Darjeeling:Yes?

Johnnie:well I can't really remember I just remember lying there on the ground near another commander

Orange pekoe: who was it

Johnnie: Richtoffen

Assam:The hoeppner captain, what did he do

Johnnie: from what I remember he tried to stop the SPAA but was hit aswell

Johnnie: I have always thanked him for it, and now we are going to be able to come full circle with some of the other commanders this tournament

Darjeeling: Full circle?

Johnnie: in the commanders group we are all mates

Johnnie, but in that group there is a smaller group with an inseparable bond between us

Darjeeling:who is in this group

The girls stood shocked at what he said

Orange Pekoe: why do that

Johnnie: it so that if any of us or anyone else losses control we can manage it whilst causing minimum damage and if it was not for them I probably would be dead by now or in prison

Girls: …

Johnnie:Sorry for telling you guys all that

Darjeeling: No, we should thank you, in fact we now know why you look so worried at the announcement

Johnnie:thanks girls, lets do our best in this tournament not just for me but for Both schools
