This chapter contains an idea that I actually have had for a few years now.

Steve Rogers was at a cemetery paying respects at the grave of his childhood friend Arnold Roth who had died of cancer some time after he had gotten to know him again after being unfrozen for so many decades. Other friends that he had from that time were in their old age if they were still alive at all. He would pay his respects at their graves as well as meet up with their living descendants.

Right now he was standing with Arnold's life partner Michael Bech who had helped 'Arnie' as was his nickname turn his life around after getting a gambling addiction. "Arnie told stories of how growing up he and the future Captain America bonded over getting the snot beat out of them by the bigger kids. How you were so much scrawnier and the only reason you were still standing was that the body was as stubborn as the boy that it belonged to." Michael told him and Steve smiled.

"Arnie was a good friend and I was honoured to have known him, he was like a brother. Hope to see you again soon Michael." Steve told him as they went to leave together after leaving flowers.

"Not too soon as I understand the great Captain America's time is valuable now that he is leading his team of Avengers again. I know that online people wants to know if you put water under whatever bridges were burned with Stark, I know that it's none of my our anyone else's business but people online wants to know all sorts of details that are none of their business." Arnold replied as Steve just sighed knowing that as he was paying respect to a friend while also trying to fix things with another one.

They said goodbye to eachother as Steve got on his motorcycle and made his way back to Avengers Facility, he went to his room and picked up a framed old photo of him smiling with an equally smiling woman. Natasha Romanoff who was a Soviet agent under the codename of the Black Widow who he had worked with during back in the War and had fallen in love with. A strong woman who was a master actress and spy and reminiscenced to Steve about that she had been trained for the Soviet Union since she was a little girl and hoped about running away to another country if she got the chance and he had agreed to keep her desire a secret.

He had asked about her when he had awakened from the ice but he found out that she had disappeared and Stalin had a big manhunt for one of his most highly trained spies as well as not taking defectors well but they never found her. He hoped that she lived her life in peace.

"You know it's good that she had defected and you were frozen because can you imagine being on opposite sides if you were both around for the Cold War?" Tony asked entering the room and Steve glared at him. "Okay that was stupid to say even by my standards, we have been ignoring it for some time so I came here to want to talk about what happened and why we broke up." Tony told him as Steve sighed.

"What is there to talk about that we haven't already Tony?" Steve asked shaking his head. "I was angry at you and I still am but I believe you have changed and I want to mend our relationship and I do hope you won't pull a stunt like that again." Steve replied and Tony thought about the big thing that Steve said in that big argument that helped put to the end of the Avengers before:

"Tony all those years ago after your first put together your first armor and decided that you didn't want to contribute to the chaos of the world by manufacturing and dealing weapon... The Tony Stark that didn't want to be the Angel of Death anymore... What would that Tony Stark have to say to the man that I am talking about right now?"

Steve then told heard his phone go off and got a text from an unknown source, he with caution answered it:

Outside the facility now, bring your suit and your shield alone.

"Don't tell me that you are going to go along with this?" Tony asked as Steve asked him to leave him alone for the time being. "Of course you are..." Tony muttered as he then left.

Steve had told Coulson and they had SHIELD agents nearby as he came to the threes area of the outside of the Facility. He then raised an eyebrow to see a figure in a black bodysuit with a red and white stripe flag on it but with a star emblem at the top right edge of it, his cowl was similar to his but was colored black and had a shield like his but without the star.

The figure then went to attack with great force and dodged it and attacked with his own shield as their shields crossed. They went on for a few minutes as the agents readied their weapons just in case. The figure grinned at he got up saying "sorry for that but I just really wanted to spar, I'm a big fan and I had to see the great Captain America for myself and I have to say that you more than live up to the legend. Hope we can work together at some time."

"You could have just sent a request and can I please ask for a name?" Steve asked as the man shook his head.

"John Walker but you can call me the USAgent, good luck with the Avengers and until next time Cap." Explained the figure as he got a bag from a nearby tree and took out a jetpack which he used to exit as the agents tried to pursue him. Steve couldn't help but think about how he had fought with strength and agility like his while more aggressively but he could tell the man was holding back.

The Avengers were gathered together as Coulson brought up the file on Walker, "His birth name is John Rushman son of schoolteacher Nancy Rushman and took his wife Olivia Walker's surname after they had gotten married. He had gotten quite an impressive record after he had enlisted in the US Military and the US Government had wanted him to make him the new Captain America for the time as they were in the middle of a project to try and replicate the Super Soldier Serum again. They had just enough Vibranium to make that prototype shield but ended up going AWOL going into hiding with his best friend and fellow serviceman Lemar Hoskins while bringing his mother and his wife with him. He painted the suit black and became a vigilante targeting mostly white supremacist groups and supporters along with members of the conservative terrorism group the Watchdogs and HYDRA, the crime scene photos of his attacks are not pretty and he is wanted for questioning." Coulson explained.

"So he is like a Captain America fanboy crossed with the Punisher, bet the Military wished they didn't give him the serum." Peter commented as Coulson shook his head.

"That's the thing Parker, he never took the serum and his training and service record showed that it seemed like that he was born with the skills." Coulson replied and this took them by surprise.

"So if he comes back and decides he wants to join, should we get a room ready for him?" Tony asked as Steve had his head down in thought.

"Something bothering you about this USAgent guy Steve?" Sam asked as Steve shook his head.

"I am just puzzled why he would come here and risk capture just to spar with me, with how he fought I am not convinced that he is just a normal human. No offense to the trained agents we have here, but there is something about him that feels like I should know about him." Steve said and they didn't know what to think.

Walker had gone to the safehouse he shared with his family and was walking with an African American in a red and dark blue bodysuit with a bulletproof vest over it who was named Lemar. "I still can't believe you risked that much just to spar with Cap. Okay I felt like it would be an honour for me to get my butt kicked in by him but I don't think I would want to risk getting arrested for it. Still I can understand why you would want to risk it." Lemar Hoskins told him as they got in and Walker put away the jetpack that they had gotten their hands on.

Walker embraced Olivia and then Walker put off his cowl and greeted an elderly woman who was in a bed as they smiled at eachother. "So you got to meet him?" Nancy Rushman asked him with a hint of a Russian accent to her voice. Walker smiled as he held her hand.

"Yes Mum, I met Dad." Walker replied with a big smile.

Sorry for the short chapter but I wanted a chapter to focus on Steve here just so that I don't accidentally turn Spidey into the protagonist so I hope Steve will get as much focus as we explore the mystery of what happened when the Avengers dissolved.
