A few days have passed since the rebels and Atlanteans rescued Ezra's team and got three Y-wings during the rescue. The Y-wings were delivered to General Dodonna who also thanked the crew of Daedalus by giving them intel about the imperial fleet's movements in Lothal and other systems. The intel was useful but Caldwell couldn't do any further strikes against the Empire because he had to inform Colonel Carter about what has happened.

Before Daedalus left, Jason suggested that he and Jake should stay behind with the rebels along with a Puddle Jumper and some equipment in case they find something useful for Atlantis Expedition and SGC. Caldwell didn't really like the idea and Sheppard along with his team weren't sure if their new members should stay behind but in the end, they agreed and allowed Jason and Jake to stay with the rebels along with a Puddle Jumper and whatever weapons and equipment they needed.

The life in the Chopper base wasn't like back in Atlantis but at least Jason and Jake had friends there. Jason and Ahsoka were talking about their adventures and what wonders they have seen every time they could while Jake and Sabine spent their time fixing ships and talking about what they liked and didn't like. The people in the base couldn't help but think that they were becoming close, a lot closer than friends.

The same could be also said about Hera who showed an unusual interest in Jason. Not only because of his impressive pilot skills that rivaled her own, but also because he was so kind and always showed her the SGC ships whenever she asked.

This of course caused some problems because Kanan felt a little jealous and thought that it wasn't a good idea for Hera to hang out with Jason. The same could be said about Ezra who didn't really like the fact that Sabine was hanging out with Jake.

Speaking of Ezra, he was still in his cell with his hands cuffed and the cell was equipped with the Anti-Prior device to prevent him from using his Force powers. Ezra still had a lot of time to spend in his cell but Hera and the others were beginning to consider his release.

While Jason was checking the star map in the briefing room, Jake walked in.

"Hi Jason," Jake said.

"Hi, Jake. How are you doing?" Jason asked.

"I'm doing just fine. Even though Sabine isn't around here, fixing ships keeps me focused," Jake said.

"Speaking of, where is she actually?" Jason asked.

"She went along with Ahsoka, Hera, and Zeb on some sort of recon mission. Ever since they found out that this Khan guy returned, they became determined to find out what he's planning," Jake explained.

"Yeah, no kidding. But Ahsoka could have still told me a little more details," Jason said.

Before she left, Ahsoka didn't say much about her mission, only that she and the rest of the Ghost crew were trying to find out whatever they can about Khan and his operations.

"Speaking of Ahsoka. How are things between you two?" Jake asked making Jason blush.

"Uh, good actually. We spend time together when we have a chance and mostly we just talk," Jason said.

"About what?" Jake asked politely.

"Mostly about our home planets, cultures, history. Sometimes even about our lives," Jason said.

"And what did she tell you?" Jake asked.

"Sorry, but I can't tell you that. Ahsoka asked me not to," Jason said.

"It's okay, bro. I understand," Jake said.

"Thanks, bro," Jason said.

But before they could continue their conversation, the holo table started beeping.

"What's that?" Jason asked.

"I think someone is trying to contact us or this base," Jake said.

"What's going on?" Kanan asked as he and Ezra walked in.

"Someone's calling but we don't know who," Jason said.

"Open the channel," Kanan told the rebel trooper.

The trooper nodded and answered the call. When the channel was opened, it revealed Hera and Ahsoka but their hands were tied behind their backs. This immediately alarmed everyone in the briefing room.

"Ahsoka, are you alright?" Jason asked worriedly.

"Hera, what's going on?" Banana asked.

But instead of ladies answering, a dark figure stepped into the picture with an evil smirk on his face.

"Oh no," Ezra said.

"What? Who is it?" Kanan asked?

"Just an old friend, master Jedi," Darth Maul said.

Jason and Jake didn't know who the Sith lord in front of them was so they asked their Jedi friends his identity.

"Kanan, Ezra, who the hell is this guy?" Jason asked.

"Darth Maul, he betrayed me," Ezra said.

"No. I betrayed your friends but I would have remained loyal to you," Maul corrected.

"What do you want?" Kanan asked.

"The Sith Holocron our apprentice and I acquired on Malachor," Maul said.

"We don't have it," Kanan said crossing his arms.

"How unfortunate. Because if that is true, then your friends have no future," Maul said as he revealed Ahsoka and the others and activated his lightsaber.

"You better not hurt Ahsoka or I'll-" Jason couldn't finish when Maul turned his attention to him.

"Major Jason Connor, what an honor to meet you. You and your people's arrival from another galaxy was highly unexpected but most welcome," Maul said shocking Jason

"How do you know my name or where I come from?" Jason asked.

"I have my sources and I can be very persuasive when it comes to acquiring information," Maul said.

"There must something else you want," Kanan said.

"No. I want the Sith Holocron but I also want your Jedi Holocron as well," Maul said telling his demands.

"Kanan, no," Hera said.

"Don't listen to him, Jason," Ahsoka said.

"Fine," Kanan finally gave in Maul's demands.

"I should be in touch with the coordinates for our rendezvous. Don't disappoint me," Maul said.

"I'm warning you, Maul. If I find even one scratch on Ahsoka, I'll kill you," Jason threatened which only made Maul laugh a little.

"What's so funny?" Jason asked with anger in his voice.

"You have so much anger in your heart. You would be a good apprentice," Maul said before turning off the holo communicator.

Everyone in the briefing room started thinking about what they should do. They had to save their friends but the only way to do that was to give Maul the Holocrons. But they needed a plan so they can save their friends and defeat Maul if necessary.

Meanwhile in the Ghost

While Ahsoka and the others were sitting with their hands cuffed, Maul was looking at the structure of the ship.

"I assumed that this ship was merely a transport but I realize it is much more than that. This is your home," Maul said.

"You looking to move in?" Zeb asked angrily.

"Lady Tano, would it be rude of me to request a tour of this ship?" Maul asked.

"Well, the airlock is down there if you want to see yourself out ugh-," Hera said.

Maul didn't take that well and used his force abilities to choke Hera for a second until he released her.

"I asked Lady Tano. Not you, captain," Maul said while Hera was breathing heavily.

"Very well," Ahsoka said even though she didn't like it.

She and Maul left the others and walked around the ship. At first, Ahsoka showed Maul her friends' quarters, and then she took him to Kanan's quarters. She knew that Maul was suspecting that one of the Holocrons he wanted was onboard the Ghost but she tried to stall him as long as she could.

"Yes, these are the quarters of the Jedi. But that is not what I wanted to talk about. I want you to tell me about this Jason Connor," Maul said.

"I don't anything about him," Ahsoka said.

"That's not true, you know nearly everything about Jason Connor. Not only what he has told you but also about his... gift," Maul said.

Ahsoka was beginning to get worried that Maul would find out Jason's greatest secret and what she knew about him before she met him. She tried to hide it but Maul used his Force ability to read Ahsoka's mind.

"Yes... the moment you saw him on Malachor you knew who he was before he even told you his name because you had foreseen it in the past, in your vision," Maul said.

Ahsoka tried to resist but she couldn't.

"In your vision, you saw him holding hands with you and you were carrying... life inside you," Maul said.

"No," Ahsoka whispered.

"Of course, it was the plan of the Force. It was your and his destiny to meet each other, fall in love, and have a family. As for your gifts, you have the spirit of the Daughter while he possesses the gene of the Ancients. Alone they are nothing special, but together... they become the galaxy's ultimate power. The power that your descendants can have," Maul said with an evil smirk.

"No!" Ahsoka yelled and force pushed Maul into the wall.

She tried to get away and free her friends but Maul's droids stunned her before she could far. After Maul recovered, he walked to Ahsoka and ordered his droids to carry her back to other hostages.

"She was always so stubborn," Maul said.

Meanwhile

After Kanan and Ezra acquired the Sith Holocron, they along with Jason and Jake took a ship from the Chopper base and flew towards the coordinates Maul gave them in his message. While Ezra was flying, Kanan went through his plan one more time.

"Okay, here's the plan. Ezra and I go to meet with Maul while you and Jake sneak in and free Hera and the others," Kanan told Jason.

"I just hope the Anti-Prior device prevents Maul from detecting us," Jason said.

"Yeah, it has been tested on the Jedi but never on the Sith," Jake added.

"Maul is powerful but I'm sure he won't detect you as long as your device is on," Kanan said.

"And after we have our friends, we'll get out of there," Ezra said.

But the three adults in the room knew that Ezra had something else in his mind. He wanted to know how to destroy the Sith by combining the Jedi and Sith Holocrons but the three adult companions thought that it wasn't a good idea. Kanan wanted to forbid Ezra from doing it but Jason promised to stop Ezra if something goes wrong.

When they arrived at their destination, they landed the ship into the space station where Maul was waiting for them. Ezra and Kanan exited the ship to meet up with Maul while Jason and Jake stayed hidden in the ship with the Anti-Prior device on.

"Welcome, I trust you have found the Sith Holocron," Maul said.

"We have it but I don't see our friends," Ezra said.

"They will remain as my guests until we conclude our business," Maul said before two of his droids arrived.

"A little warning. If you attempt to escape or if the droids are deactivated, your friends will die," Maul said.

"Good to know," Ezra said while the droids were escorting him to the command center.

After Maul and Kanan left the hangar as well, Jason and Jake came out of the ship and checked the area. After they made sure it was clear, they discussed their options.

"Okay, let's go find the others," Jason said.

"Do we even know where Maul would keep them?" Jake asked.

Jason looked around a little until he noticed the Ghost parked in the hangar. It didn't take long for him to figure out where Maul would keep their friends.

"I think I know where our friends are Jason said.

Ahsoka and the others were moved to the ship's cargo hold where Maul's droids were keeping an eye on them. They sat there until one of the droids came and said something to the other droids with their code language, then they aimed their blasters at their prisoners.

Ahsoka and her friends closed their eyes and prepared for a certain death until something fell behind the droids and they suddenly shut down. Ahsoka and the others looked behind them and saw Jason and Jake with EMP grenades in their hands.

"Jason!" Ahsoka said with happiness.

"You okay?" Jason asked as he and Jake removed the handcuffs.

"We think so," Hera said.

"You really have a bad habit of getting caught," Jake said.

"Hey! It's not our fault," Sabine protested.

"Just kidding, babe," Jake said with a smirk.

After they freed their friends, Jason was about to tell them their situation until Ahsoka pulled him into a hug that shocked him. But he quickly got over it and returned the hug making Ahsoka smile. But they didn't notice that Hera looked at them with jealousy on her face.

After Jason and Ahsoka broke the hug, Jason informed them what was going on and they went after Maul and Ezra. While they were running through the hallways, they found Kanan lying on the floor nearly frozen.

"Kanan! Are you alright? What happened to you?" Hera asked.

"Maul," Kanan simply said.

"Where did he go?" Jason asked.

"To the command center. Ezra's there as well," Kanan told them.

"Then let's not waste time. Let's go," Jason said.

Everyone nodded and went after Maul with Kanan with them. It didn't take long until they reached the command center where Maul and Ezra were sitting on the floor with two Holocrons united and bright light covering the room.

"What the hell is going on?!" Jake asked.

"Maul and Ezra must have combined the Holocrons!" Kanan said.

"We've got to stop them!" Hera said.

"How?!" Sabine asked.

While his friends were arguing, Jason looked at the light but couldn't see anything. He was about to say something until he suddenly saw two shadowy figures in the middle of the light.

"What is this? How can I see them?" Jason thought.

But he let it aside for now and took his pistol (M9) from his holster. This didn't go unnoticed by the others and turned their attention to Jason.

"Connor, what are you doing?!" Kanan asked.

"Jason, don't do it!" Ahsoka said.

But Jason didn't listen because something was telling him that he should shoot. Trusting in his instincts, Jason aimed his pistol at Maul and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit Maul's shoulder and as soon as it did, the light disappeared and the Holocrons exploded pushing everyone on the floor.

Luckily no one was injured and the crew got back on their feet. They took a look around but didn't see any sign of Maul anywhere, they saw some blood on the floor but no Maul himself. Then they saw Ezra lying on the floor unconscious and hurried to his side.

"Ezra, can you hear me?" Kanan asked.

"He's got the pulse," Jake said as he checked Ezra's pulse.

"The blast must have knocked him out," Sabine said.

"We need to get him back to the base," Jason said.

"But what about Maul?" Hera asked.

"He's long gone by now. Besides, I don't think we'll see him again any time soon," Ahsoka said.

Everyone nodded and picked up Ezra and headed back to the Ghost.

Later in the Chopper base

After they got back, Ezra eventually regained his consciousness and told his friends about the visions he received from the Holocron but they were blurry and didn't make any sense. Ahsoka suspected that Ezra's visions will become clear to him eventually but it would take time before they do.

Ezra was kept in the infirmary under guard but he was promised some freedom but the rebel leaders still didn't fully trust him because of his past actions. Zeb and Sabine protested but the rebel leaders said that Ezra still hasn't proven that he can be trusted. It saddened the Ghost crew that their friend was locked up but they supposed that it was better than a death sentence.

While everyone was doing their duties, Ahsoka was outside the base looking at the stars in the night sky. She was suddenly interrupted when Jason walked in.

"Sorry, am I interrupting you?" Jason asked.

"No, I could use some company right now," Ahsoka said with a smile.

Jason nodded and they sat down while looking at the night sky. After they saw a couple of shooting stars, Ahsoka decided to tell Jason about her feelings towards him and the visions she saw when she was a padawan.

"Jason, there is something I'll have to tell you," Ahsoka said.

"What is it?" Jason asked.

"Do you still remember how we met on Malachor?" Ahsoka asked.

"Of course," Jason answered.

"When I saw your face, I knew it was you," Ahsoka said.

"What do you mean, Ahsoka?" Jason asked.

"When I was a padawan in the Jedi temple, I saw visions. Not about the wat or anything like that, they were about you and our future," Ahsoka confessed.

Jason was taken completely by surprise by the sudden revelation.

"Visions? Our future? What's that supposed to mean?" Jason asked.

"In those visions, I saw you and me but not as friends. We were a couple and... we were expecting a child," Ahsoka confessed as tears fell from her eyes.

Jason was now even more shocked, not only because Ahsoka told him about their possible future but also because she knew about him before they even met on Malachor the day Jason came to this galaxy.

"Ahsoka, I... I don't know what to say," Jason said.

"It's alright, I don't know what to say either," Ahsoka said.

They stayed like this for a moment until they spoke again.

"Ahsoka, I know we haven't known each other for long but... I have to tell you something," Jason said.

"What is it?" Ahsoka asked shyly.

"The moment I met you, I felt something. Something I have never felt in my life," Jason said.

As Jason kept talking, Ahsoka's heart began pumping faster and faster.

"I don't know how to put it into words but... I love you, Ahsoka," Jason confessed.

Ahsoka's eyes began to tear up at Jason's confession. While she felt something for Lux in the past but what she felt for Jason was stronger. She didn't know if it was a will of the Force for her to love Jason or if it was what she felt in her heart. But after a few seconds, she had her answer.

She slowly walked to Jason and put her hand over his cheek and gently pulled his face closer to hers.

"I love you too, Jason," Ahsoka said while crying.

After that, they kissed. It was a gentle kiss at first but it soon turned into a deeper kiss as Jason and Ahsoka hugged and kissed each other deeply. But while they were kissing, they didn't notice that Hera was watching them from behind the corner tears falling from her eyes.

"You have won this round, Ahsoka. But the war continues," Hera vowed.
