4 Months have passed after Jackson & Roxana bought the baby items and maternity clothes. Roxana's belly now had a small bump, she knew she had to go on Maternity leave sooner or later. Roxana was working at the florist, she was making sure the flowers were tended to kindly and didn't die, she was watering some orange flowers when she overheard one of her co-workers talking about a trip, "I can't believe it Rita, my holiday for our week off had to be cancelled because of my husband's mother had to died yesterday and with the funeral being on during the week off, that makes it even worse. What am I going to do now? I can't waste these tickets."
Then the other co-worker noticed Roxana and decided to get her attention, "Hey Roxana!" This got her interest, "Yeah Rita? I'm currently busy now." "Karen had to cancel a trip to a lovely resort her mother-in-law passed." Rita said, "And she was thinking of giving these tickets to someone else, and I see that you'd love to be away, especially with you being pregnant." Karen was confused, "What? Rita, why Roxana?" Come on," Rita responded, "Roxy is in need of a holiday, she's got a bun in the oven and she deserves it, think of it like a gift for her hard work and for her becoming a mom for the first time. I know my Jill gave me a gift when I was going to be a mom for the first time." "Yeah, if a mug counted as a gift." Karen whispered until raising her voice back up to talk to Roxana, "Well, you might enjoy this, make sure to give us any souvenirs too." "I will!" Roxana said as she went back to work.
When Roxana returned home, she saw Jackson working on a dinner. "Hi honey." Jackson gritting while struggling to pull something out, "I'm having some trouble with the dinner, it's too big to get out the cooker." Roxana looked to see her husband trying to get the tray out, "Ok, oh Jackson guess what I got from Karen at work." "What?" Jackson asked. Roxana answered, "She gave me two tickets to a lovely resort for a week, she said that she and her husband were supposed to go, but her mother-in-law died, so she gave the tickets to me." "That's good. I should be in need of a break too. Well, not really, I made the workload at my place go up tenfold, and my boss said that I could have a fortnight off due to that I filled up an entire month's quota in a week. But I could enjoy the sights of blue skies, nice sand, and enjoying a lovely drink in a tropical paradise."
Days passed and the two Lombaxes were ready to head off for a nice week off. They took off and headed for the resort. The resort was located on the lovely seaside planet of Harma, it had luscious plant life, relaxing shores and at the resort, there are bars, a spa and some hobbies and games that you can do while enjoying your stay. Jackson landed his ship outside the resort and was dumbstruck by the beauty of it, "Wow. This place looks amazing. Roxana, I'm going to be certain with you, but I'm gonna love this week break." The two stepped out of the ship and head to the front entrance of the resort, it was bright and shiny, beautiful paintings of the planets landscape were hung on the walls.
Jackson soon stepped up to the reception, "Hello. Anyone there?" Then a robot popped up, "Good day sir, how might I assist you at our lovely Harma Resort?" Jackson pulled out the two tickets, the robot receptionist took them and scanned to see if they were legitimate, "Well, I see they are legit, let me say welcome to Harma Resort, hope you enjoy your weeklong stay." "Thanks." Jackson replied. Jackson & Roxana were given 2 keys to the room they'd be staying in, the room had a lovely and soft double bed, a clean bathroom and a large window that overlooks the beach below. "Wow." Said Roxana in amazement, "I'd never thought I see such beauty in the whole galaxy. I wonder what we're going to do for our break here?" Jackson pondered for a while until he got an idea, "We could just go for a walk, then when tomorrow comes, we'd be doing some of the things that can be done here. Is that ok?" "Yeah." Roxana answered.
The two Lombaxes went out to have a nice stroll along the beachside when the sun was setting, the two looked at the sunset and shared a nice kiss. Two days later early one morning, Roxana woke Jackson up in a shock. "Huh," Jackson sprung up, "Roxana, what is it? It's too early." Roxana calmed her husband down, "It's ok dear, I think I felt the baby kick." "You woke me up, because of a kick?" Jackson said tiredly, Roxana took his hand and placed it on her belly. "Wait for it." Roxana said patiently. Jackson was about to sleep until he felt the kick too. "Well. What's even important about that?" Jackson asked almost about to go back to sleep. "That means it's still alive." Roxana responded excitedly. Jackson just laid back down on the bed, but he gave a smile as he shut his eyes.
Hours later and Roxana went to the spa to have some relaxation, Jackson was currently outside looking for the swimming pool. There were 3 different pools, a small learner pool, a large swimming pool and a relaxation pool. There were also some diving boards so people could diving into the sea below, Jackson saw them and decided to try and jump off the highest board, he walked to the board and looked down. An lifeguard was watching people to see if they were safe until he saw Jackson at the high board, the boards were currently closed because of low tide and someone forgot to place a sign to warn everyone about it. Jackson started to jump on the board and the lifeguard immediately got off his seat to stop the orange Lombax before it was too late. But when he got to the entrance of the diving boards, Jackson jumped off. Jackson was falling and pulling tricks andwas enjoying every second of it. But before he knew it, one second, he saw the sea, the next, it was pitch black.
Jackson awoke and found himself in a hospital bed. "Ah Mr Solar, you're finally awake." Said a doctor, "You landed really hard on an sea floor, diving from a high place during low tide can be dangerous." "Oh, so that's what happened." Jackson turned his head to see that he was missing his right arm, "What happened to my arm?" The doctor looked at an x-ray, "The impact destroyed the bones of your right arm to the point of no repair, so I'm sorry Mr Solar, you have to use a robotic arm for the rest of your life." Jackson was devastated over this, "Does Roxana know?" "We told your wife, she visited you for the past week." The doctor replied. "Past week!?" Jackson shouted, "I've been in hospital for the rest of my holiday? Oh God."
Day's past and Jackson returned home; Roxana saw how broken he was. "Jackson, dear." She started, "I got an ultrasound while you were in hospital, would you like to see it?" Jackson said nothing but nodded his head slowly. Roxana showed him the photos of the ultrasound showing the unborn baby, this made Jackson smile a bit. Roxana held Jacksons elbow and gave it kiss. "I have to get a prosthetic arm soon," Jackson said, "I know it won't be the same, but it'll be a reminder of this occasion." "That's the spirit." Roxana replied, "You see the bright side of life."
