"Damn. Forgot my good mask there." Evan Remarks. "You gonna go get it?" Yami asks. "No. I'll manage with some Gauze till i can repair my main mask. Though I will admit its weird to hear you speak English." Evan comments as he Opens a Med kit to take out a roll of bandages.
"Well crows can actually speak. It just needs a process. And unlike other crows I don't need to be taught to repeat just one word." Yami says.
"Yeah you got a point. Hold this please." Evan says as he began wrapping up his face with the bandages. Yami holding the end so its not loose. It took a few minutes but his face save for his mouth, Eyes and Nostrils were wrapped up tightly. He cut the Bandage and Tied it up into the rest and Looked in a Mirror. He nodded. "That'll do." He nods.
"What about your arm?" Yami asks. "I'll have to improvise. I know that I still have some lighning dragon blood leftover. Maybe i can combine them with the destabalized Diamonds and some dust from the Lighning Dragon bones?" Evan thought as he looked at the bin full of gray crystalline dust.
"It's worth a shot." Yami says. "Alright then. Lets get started." Evan says as he scoops out a Pile with a metal cup. The gray diamond dust twinkled in the light as Glass has been mixed with the diamonds as trash as Well.
Evan set the cup down and Went over to the trash bin full of Lighning dragon Bone dust from sanding down the bone. Mixed in with small bits of metal and wood ash. He Scooped up a few cup fulls and Set them with the diamond dust. He grabbed a jar full of steel dust and set that besides it and then went to the jars of liquid. Grabbing one labeled LDB.
He set that on the table and Grabbed out a Set of measuring spoons and droppers. "I know we made those shitty knockoffs before and found out the diamonds could possibly be recharged but they never could last long. But now?" Evan asks as he Began to dry mix a Mixture of the dusts. He then used a a Dropper vial to collect some lightning dragon blood and Drop it into the mixture.
The Jar glowed intensely forcing Evan and Yami to look away. When the glow subsided in the mixture bowl was a Blue Hexegonal shaped crystal. Cut perfectly and Emitting a light purple glow. "Holy shit! Did it actually work?" Evan asks.
"Go get something to test it on!" Yami says. Evan nods and ran to get a Simple flashlight. It ran on Diamonds like his arm and was one of his first experiments. Luckily the Crystal was just small enough to fit.
Evan flicked it on and the entire room was illuminated by a White light. Evan Chuckled to himself in an exasperated joyful manner to himself and Cheers for his success. He took the Diamond out and Ran to his Main generator. And Inserted it into the power supply. His entire base lit up like no other. everything was powered back on. He had power.
"Yes! Yeah!" He says as he threw his fist in the air in success. He Ran back to his Dry mixtures and Began to Make more Lightning Dragon Diamonds.
Yami nods in triumph to himself. And Flew out a window to perch outside. He noticed Samantha holding Evan's Plain mask and heading to the front path. He Flew down and Caws. "Oh Hi Yami! I wanted to give Evan back his mask because he forgot it back at the village. Can you lead me to him?" Samantha asks.
Yami nods and Flew up into the air to the garage. Perching besides the front door. Evan Meanwhile Was Affixing and adjusting the Input slot to hold the Lightning Dragon Diamond in it. He Grabbed the Diamond and Slotted it into the arm, and Shut the small door to let it charge up.
He grabbed it and inserted the arm onto his Stump. "Hello? Mister Sark?" Samantha asks as she enters. The arm clicks into place and Evan satched his arm calibrate to working levels. "I'll be with you in a minute." Evan says.
"Oh okay." Samantha says.
Evan moved his arm a vit and it moved and Functioned like a charm. He Switched his Combat hand for a Regualr hand and headed to who ever asked for him. "Samantha? What are you doing here?" Evan asks. "I wanted to return your mask. You forgot it back at the festival." Samantha says holding up his mask. Evan Blinked and Smiled taking the mask with his right hand and patting her head with his left. "Thank you. I wanted to go back to get it but was worried about how the Villager's would react to me now." Evan says.
"Is it because of the bandages on your face?" Samantha asks. "Yeah. But I appreciate that you came all the way here to give me my mask back." Evan thanks as he Sets the mask on a table to fix up later.
"What is this stuff?" Samantha asks with an aura of curiosity. Evan noticed. "Oh. You interested?" He asks. "Yeah! This stuff looks cool!" She says.
Evan smiles to himself. Then thought of something. "Well if you want you can watch me work. And I can use a helping hand or two. Yami is utterly useless." He says. "Caw!" Yami Caws in indignation as it flew to peck Evan in retaliation. "Really?" Samantha asks. "Yep. Just watch me do my work." Evan says. "Go sit over there. Its a good safe distance to what I'm About to do." Evan points to a chair.
Samantha heads over and Climbs onto the chair. Evan Meanwhile used a machine to lower the Dragon head. Now that he had power and an arm he could work on more bigger projects.
And one thing about dragons that Evan learned is that they never turn bad. Due to the residual magic infused into them. Evan Switched his hand for a saw blade and Used a Ladder to climb in top of the head. The saw blade began spinning and had a residual blue glow to it as Evan began cutting into the Dragon scales.
"Oh. Where is she?" The Orphanage caretaker asks herself. "Are you talking about Samantha?" A Child no older than four asks. "She went to go give Evan his mask back." His twin sister says. "Really? Oh thank goodness. I'll go find her now. Herrick you're in charge until I come back." She says.
She heads out the door and Puts on her Winter coat as the weather was beginning to turn cold. She Began to head off.
Meanwhile back with Evan and Samantha, Evan had made another Lightning Dragon Diamond for testing. "What are those?" Samantha asks.
"I'm calling them Lightning Dragon Diamonds. They're really powerful and have a lot of energy in them. Its how I can power my arm and all the machines around us." Evan Says. He Grabs it and Heads to a Machine to hook it up. "As for what i'm planning to do. I'm gonna make sure this thing doesn't backfire and kill me from just overloading it. Its a new power source so I gotta be careful." Evan says as he types in a few commands into the computer.
Samantha tilts her head in confusion and looked around in boredom. Then she noticed it. The cracked and barely functional Mask Evan had on a Stand. "Hey Mister Sark. What's this?" She asks grabbing the mask.
Evan Looked over and Grimaced at the mask. "That's, A harsh reminder of the past. I'll just say that I wasn't born a hero. But I wasn't born a villain either." Evan says. "So why keep this?" She asks.
"I use it to remind myself of the past. So I don't forget it. But I will admit it wasn't always this cracked. The Lightning dragon did a number on it. So I gotta work on making a New mask." Evan explains as he grabs the mask. Letting his face reflect of the Cracked face.
"Can I help?" She asks. "Nah. I already got a design in mind. I just need a blank to use." Evan says. "Why not that one?" Samantha asks. Evan Stroked his chin and Then smiled. "You know what. Sure." He says as he grabs the other mask. He pulls out the straps and Brought the three items to a workbench.
He pulled out a toolbox and Began to disassemble and salvage what's left of the broken mask. Samantha had Come to watch and could barely Look over the table. Which reached up to her chin.
Evan Slowly and Meticulously disassembled the Mask and threw the useless parts into a scrap bin. He then Grabbed the hydro formed mask and Began to look it over for anything to modify it with.
"Samantha? Are you here?" Evan heard outside. "Wonder who that could be." He asks out loud. "That's Aunt Sally the caretaker. She takes care of the orphans like me." Samantha answers. "Oh. Well let's go meet her. You can See my new mask when I finish making it." Evan says. "Awe! But I wanna see it." She wines.
"Too bad child. Besides I got a lot of things to do that might be boring for you." Evan says as he Sees a Woman heading up his ramp.
"Samantha?" Sally calls for. "Aunt Sally!" Samantha yells as she runs to hug her. "Oh! There you are. You had me worried for a bit there." Sally says. "Thank you for watching over her mister Sark." Sally thanks Evan.
"It's no problem. I'm just glad she even came to keep me company. Its nice even if she wanted to return my mask." Evan says. "Is that right?" Sally asks.
"Yeah. He forgot his mask back at the village for some reason after talking with Miss Gertrude." Samantha points out. "Oh you mean that Karen woman. Honestly I just call her a Karen." Evan says. "Anyways I only forgot it because I was mad. But I still appreciate the effort you went through to bring it back." Evan thanks.
"Your welcome." Evan says. Sally looks up to the sky. "Oh. Its starting to get dark. I don't wanna go back to the Village at night." She worries. "No worries. I can drive you there." Evan says. "Drive?" Sally asks.
And Scene.
