"You should get china tableware and store them very far where Naruto will never see them and only take them out when you have special guests." Kushina said after showing Hinata a few pictures of said China tableware.

They were almost done buying all the necessities for their house and Kushina has been more than helpful in the process already knowing what wouldn't be good to have around Naruto, since he didn't really pay attention to delicate objects.

"You think he'll break them." Hinata assumed bringing her cup of tea to her lips to take a sip.

"I know he'll break them." She said making Hinata giggle.

The red-haired woman gave her a knowing look going back to eating a gyozas. Hinata briefly glanced to the side at the glass beside their table. She watched some people passing by the restaurant they were at between going back to eating her own lunch.

"Believe me. He's a grown man but still break glasses." Kushina spoke again and Hinata nodded with a smile.

"That's true." She agreed.

"But I'm glad to see him making long-term commitments." The red haired said. "He seems to be surer about his vision of the future now." She continued with a smirk looking at the untouched bowl of ramen on one end of the table. "Not just you, but even the house."

Hinata smiled feeling her cheeks heating up at the woman's smirk.

"You keep him grounded, y'know." Kushina said smiling fondly.

Hinata shook her head a little. "Oh, it's not really me. I think it's more because of his work with Hokage-sama."

The red-haired woman shook her head.

"He's been working with his father for two years, so I know it's not just that." Kushina smiled with a shake of her head. "It's you. Believe me, I know. And I'm glad." She chuckled placing her red hair behind her ear.

Her purple eyes stayed warm on Hinata as she continued.

"Hot headed people like us need people who calm our ardor. That's what Minato did for me. and that's what you're doing for him."

Hinata blushed deeper smiling at the older woman.

"Minato-san and you are indeed very balanced." She nodded, her smile growing slightly bigger.

"So, you get it. I'm glad you're here." She said looking to her side and noticed her son approaching. "Speak of the devil." Kushina grinned looking to the side as Naruto walked toward them with an eager look.

He moved to his mom wrapping his arms around her from behind to kiss her on her cheek before moving to Hinata to peck her lips, knowing that Hinata never reciprocates any sort of affection from him in front his parents.

For now. He thought.

"How are the two most important women of my life?" He grinned taking a seat at the end of the table, not taking his eyes on the bowl of ramen.

"How is the bane of our existence?" Kushina replied with a warm smile.

Naruto gasped placing a hand over his chest before grabbing his chopsticks breaking them and Hinata bit back a laugh.

"Whatever. I'm too hungry to cry or argue. Rematch later." He said and started eating the ramen they've previously ordered for him.

Kushina looked at him in thoughts as he ate.

"Did your father eat lunch yet?" Kushina asked looking at her son who was busy stuffing his face. "Maybe I should order something and take it to him?" He suggested and her son shrugged.

"I don't know." Naruto said still eating not even looking up from his bowl. "He's your husband, not mine."

Kushina gave him a displeased look at both his nonchalance and tone.

"Seriously?" She raised an eyebrow at him. "Didn't you see him before coming here?"

"I did, but I didn't ask." He said trying to hide his smile behind his ramen.

"You stress me out." Kushina sighed narrowing her eyes at him. "Couldn't you have just asked him or something?"

"Why don't you call him? Like I said, he is your husband." Naruto said and chuckled when he met his mother's glare on him.

Hinata watched them silently with a small smile, really not wanting to get between them when they were bumping heads. Anyone who would end up hurt. Even Minato knew better.

"I'm just messing with you." Naruto snorted looking at his mother's face. "I told his secretary to order him lunch and take it to him. Happy?"

Kushina gritted her teeth rubbing her fingers over her temple.

"Why couldn't just say so from the start?" She asked looking at him tiredly.

He shrugged with a grin and continued his meal.

"You're a brat." She finally smiled shaking her head grabbing her purse from the chair beside her. "Anyways, I have to go. I'll see you guys tomorrow."

They both nodded and told her goodbye and with that she left without another word.

"You were hungry." Hinata remarked teasingly looking at his half empty bowl.

"Starving." He nodded. "It was a long morning. I had like a hundred different meeting, y'know."

She giggled at his exaggerations. "You're being dramatic."

"No, I'm not. Even my dad left halfway through the last one." He said with a tut.

"I'm sorry." She smiled briefly placing soft hand over his cheek. "Should I order another one for you?" Hinata asked looking at his almost empty bowl.

He quickly nodded and she smiled calling the waitress over.

After lunch, both Hinata and Naruto went back to work.

Hinata was currently reading emails. Coming from her father about the next few weeks schedule when her office phone rang making her roll her chair toward it not taking her eyes off the screen.

"Yes?"

"Miss Hyuuga. A call from the reception." Moegi, her secretary said on the other line.

The reception? Hinata furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"Thanks, Moegi. Put them through." She said finally taking her eyes off her screen.

It was only a few seconds before the line picked up again.

"Hello?"

"Good day, Miss Hyuuga. A certain Haruno Sakura is here to see you. I told her that she couldn't be let up without an appointment but she's insisting it's important. "

Hinata's heart skipped a beat at the words and suddenly it started racing slamming against her ribcage. Her palms became sweaty and she gulped.

"Let her up, please. I'll see her." He said in a lower voice before placing the phone back in place with slightly shaking hands.

"Yes, Ma'am." The man said before hanging up.

Hinata took a deep breath and slowly stood from her seat and walked to her office door.

"Moegi-san, make sure I don't get disturbed until I tell you, please. Except if it's my father, of course."

"Yes, Miss Hyuuga."

"Thank you."

Hinata turned back leaving her office door open as she walked back to her desk. Her beating heart and the clicking of her heels were the only things she could register or hear right now.

She bit the inside of her cheek and slowly started pacing while waiting preparing herself for the worst conversation she's probably ever had. A conversation she knew she needed to have.

Not just for herself.

She just wished she had expected it today. She could have prepared herself or at least could have thought about what to say. But there was no time to think now. She would just have to speak with honesty.

"I'm here to see Hyuuga Hinata." She heard the familiar voice say.

Hinata took a deep breath and walked back toward the door. She saw the pink haired woman standing in front of Moegi's desk with a stiff posture.

"Hello, Sakura."

The woman turned to her keeping her green eyes firmly on the shorter woman.

"I'm here to talk to you." Was her reply and Hinata nodded opening her office door wider.

"Please come in."

The pinkette's eyes stayed on her for a moment longer before she walked closer entering her office.

Hinata closed the door behind them and turned to Sakura. She motioned for the sitting area.

"Please, have a seat." She softly said.

"I'm not here to sit and chat and you know it." Sakura snapped shooting daggers at the lavender-eyed woman.

"I know." Hinata nodded. "But I still think we should sit to talk."

"Damn it." She hissed glaring dagger at the Hyuuga. "Your innocent act makes me sick. It doesn't work with me anymore."

"Please, have a seat, Sakura." Hinata repeated, angering the woman even more.

"I don't want to sit, I want you to tell me why you did it." Sakura said with stiff shoulder. "Why the hell did you think it was a good thing to sleep with another woman's boyfriend."

"Sakura-"

"You left." She didn't let Hinata finish and continued. "You were the one who left."

Hinata stayed quiet and silently let her continue.

"He was with me and you knew it." Sakura stated, her shoulders getting more tensed. "You knew but that didn't stop you from spreading your legs for him." She snarled balling her hands into fists.

Hinata waited for a couple of seconds, not sur if the woman was done and not wanting to interrupt her. When she knew Sakura wouldn't say more she opened her mouth.

"I'm sorry for causing you pain." Hinata started locking eyes with the older woman.

Sakura gritted her teeth not saying anything so Hinata continued.

"I'm not going to justify what I did. I know it was wrong of me. I know I did you wrong."

Sakura's glare intensified.

Hinata continued. "I can't say that I wouldn't have done it again if I could go back in time because I don't know and it would be a lie. But what I can assure you, Sakura, is that I am really sorry that I was the cause of your pain."

Hinata licked her lips briefly looking to the side when she felt her eyes heating up.

"I can't take it back. All I know is that I've been selfish and I keep being so. I know I was the one who ran away because I was being a coward and I honestly wasn't expecting any of this to happen coming back. I wasn't planning on bringing anything up again." She explained and Sakura snorted. "It's true. I wasn't planning on talking to him again about my feelings, b-"

"Bullshit." Sakura muttered cutting her off. "It's only taken you a few days after you've comeback to spread out for him so don't give me that crap."

Hinata shook her head in denial to her words.

"But it's the truth. I didn't plan for any of that to happen."

"But it did." The green-eyed woman snapped glaring at her. "It did happen. And no, you're not sorry. Because if you were, you wouldn't still be with him."

Sakura was practically shaking now and Hinata noticed fighting the urge to take a closer step.

"Sakur-"

"Your innocent act pisses me off. So, stop doing it." Sakura hissed cutting her off. "You think that's going to work after what you've done. You've slept with my boyfriend. That little act of yours will never work on me again."

Hinata nodded understanding her words of anger and openly receiving them because she knew herself that her and Naruto's actions weren't justifiable. All she could do was hope that Sakura would forgive them in time.

"I just wanted you to know that I was sorry. I can't force you to accept my apology because I am the one in the wrong." The Hyuuga said briefly looking down before looking back at the woman.

"I don't forgive you." Sakura said looking at her straight in the eyes.

"You are in your right." Hinata said quietly. "I know I have no right to ask anything of you, especially not your forgiveness. But I'm just glad I have this talk with you."

Sakura suddenly laughed lowering her head before clenching her fists again as her laughter died down. She then marched storming past Hinata to open the door with force. Hinata stood on her spot not moving as she heard her retreating steps and her office door being slammed shut.

The indigo-haired woman moved to her desk still shaking slightly and grabbed her phone dialing Naruto's number watching as a droplet coming from her eye landing on the screen.

Naruto took his jacket off and threw it in the backseat of his car before loosening his tie staring at the building in front him.

The building he lived in a few moths ago. He debated all day if she should come here today or another day, but he kept thinking about when Hinata called him after Sakura's visit and he knew he had to do this today.

If not for him, but at least for Hinata's sake. And hopefully give everyone closure.

He deeply sighed before getting out of his car.

His mind ran wild through his walk in the lobby, inside the elevator that was surprisingly fast today and to the door of the apartment he once shared with Sakura. He had used the code to open the main door downstairs but here he knew he had to knock.

He didn't even have the keys anymore.

So, he lifted his fist knocking twice on the door and waited. It only opened after a short time revealing to pink-haired woman.

"Naruto." She quietly said as she opened the door wider.

"Hi, Sakura." He shoved his hands in his pockets. "Can I come in?"

She stiffly nodded stepping aside to let him in. He walked in and waited for her to close the door. She walked past him going to the living-room and he followed. When they reached the familiar sitting area, she crossed her arms over her chest and turned to look at him expectantly.

"How are you?" He asked and she narrowed her eyes at him.

"I'm pretty sure that's not why you came." She snapped.

He let out a. breath taking his hands out of his pockets to keep them at his sides.

"Hinata told me you went to Hyuuga Corp." He said.

She rolled her eyes. "Is that why you came?"

Naruto nodded. "Yes. Since Hinata wasn't the one in a relationship with you. I was. I just don't understand why you would go to her."

Sakura looked at him with wide eyes as if he's struck her.

"How can you ask me that?" She asked with a raised voice. "She's the little bitch who slept with someone's boyfriend."

Naruto bit the inside of his cheek to refrain himself from telling her not to call Hinata out of her name. But he knew it would just bring more talk and he wanted to conclude this.

"I came to ask you to please not to do something like that again." He requested and the anger in her eyes increased.

"I can do whatever the hell I want."

"Sakur-"

"You're buying a house." She cut him off barely above a whisper clenching her fists tighter. "With her."

Naruto sighed scratching the back of his head.

"Did Ino tell you?" He asked already guessing it might be the blond woman.

"I saw you." Sakura let out a broken laugh. "I saw you entering a furniture store with her. So, I asked Ino." She explained. "You're buying a house." She repeated.

"We are." He admitted not seeing the point of lying.

Sakura's fists unclenched and she briefly titled her head back looking at the celling. When she looked back at Naruto, she had tears in her eyes.

"How could you do this?" She asked looking at him. "Why are you doing this? Why are you trying to hurt me?"

He shook his head at her words. "I am not trying to hurt you."

"It's like you're mocking me." She broke into a sob. "It's only been three months. Three fucking months, Naruto!"

"It's not you." he softly said.

"How can you say that!?" She raised her voice taking a step toward him.

He started giving her sincere look. "I hurt you. I know I did and I am not happy about it."

"Then leave her."

"What?"

"If you're not happy about it, then leave her." She said taking another step.

Naruto sighed shaking his head.

"I want you to let this whole thing go. This isn't good for you." Were his words.

Sakura gave him an angry look before running her hand through her short hair.

"Do you think that feelings are just something you can turn on and off?"

"I know it's not. I know what I did was a bastard move. I know you deserved way better." He said honestly. "And that's what I want for you. I want all of us to be able to move on from this."

"Move on!?" She shrieked. "So, your plan is to move on as if nothing ever happened."

Naruto ran a hand over his face in frustration at not being able to find the right words.

He was so damn bad at this.

"I told you. I'm not proud of what I've done but that's not what I want you to focus on right now." He explained. "You have to focus on your medical studies and continue building your life like you always have. We've been friends since middle school and I deeply care for you, bu-."

"Is she pregnant?" She asked cutting him off again, taking a step forward. "Is that why you're doing all this?" She continued. "Is Hiashi making you buy the house and all that?"

A few seconds passed both silent. One because she was patiently waiting for an answer, the other was just in pure confusion at the words coming out of her mouth.

"It would make sense why you're moving so fast with her. That's the only explanation." Sakura continued speaking more to herself as she looked down at the carpeted floor.

"Hinata is not pregnant." He said making her eyes move back to him.

"Then wh-"

"I love her." He stated.

He waited in silence, but she didn't say anything except look at him.

She took more steps to be able to stand in front of him. She kept her eyes firmly on his.

"Stay with me tonight." She whispered moving closer.

He lifted a hand placing it on her shoulder to push her back a few steps. That didn't discourage her as she placed a hand over the hand on her shoulder.

"Just tonight." She said looking at him through her lashes. "One night. That's all I ask, Naruto."

He took his hand from hers and slowly pushed her back again taking a step back himself.

"You owe me that much." She said giving him a distressed look.

"I don't owe you anything like that." He shook his head. "I said what I needed to say. I'm going home. Just please, don't go attacking Hinata again." He looked at her taking a step back. "Please Sakura, that's all I ask."

She shook her head. "I love you, Narut-"

"I made a choice. I wasn't drunk or anything. I knew what I was doing." He said hoping she would finally understand. "I should have done things the right way. I should have talked to you first. But I didn't and it's over, so please stop all this."

She dropped her head, her hands limp at her sides.

"I really hope you find the one for you, Sakura."

And he left again.

Naruto took a deep breath as he walked out of the building and into the parking. He was glad he had this talk with Sakura. It's been weighing on him all day, but he was glad he's come here. He ran a hand over his cropped blond hair and stopped when he saw a familiar raven head with an equally familiar green jacket.

"Lee?" Naruto called and the man looked up in surprised before a huge grin took over his face.

"Oh hey, Naruto-san!" He greeted excitedly. "How are you doing? I haven't seen you in the gym last week."

"Yeah. I've been busy with work." Naruto replied with his own smile before looking at him questioningly. "What are you doing here?"

"I closed the dojo early and decided to bring Sakura-chan some dinner." The raven-haired grinned while showing him the bags he was carrying with slightly tinted cheeks.

The blond man nodded with a smile.

"I'm glad." Naruto smiled patting his back as he walked past him. "You can keep her company."

"Of course!" The raven nodded with a tiny jump.

"Take good care of her." Naruto waved walking away.

"I will! You can count on me!" He said enthusiastically before almost running away.

Hinata lowered the fire after closing the pot when she heard the front door open and close. She anxiously chewed on her lower lip and walked out of the kitchen to see Naruto taking his shoes off and placing his briefcase and jacket on the table by the entrance.

"Hinata, I'm home!" He called not having yet seen her.

"Hi." She said and he looked with a small laugh of surprise as she approached him.

"Hi." He wrapped his arms around her pulling her into a really tight hug making her giggle with a choked sound.

She pulled back hoping to speak but his mouth was on hers as soon as she opened. He gave a deep prolonged kiss before pulling back with a satisfied smile.

Hinata smiled too running hand over the back to his head.

"How did it go?" She asked slightly pulling away to be able to see his face.

"Not great." He said with a sigh pressing his forehead against hers. "But I think it's going to be better now."

Hinata nodded, not questioning more before moving her hand to his cheek affectionately.

Naruto slightly pulled ack sniffing around.

"Smells good." He said looking at her with big eyes.

She grinned pulling to walk back to the kitchen and he quickly followed. "I made curry."

"Great!" He practically ripped his tie off. "I'll set the table."

Hinata nodded as she watched him already moving around the place. "Alright. But wash your hands."

"Yes, mom."

She lightly giggled with a shake of her head.
