SHAWN AND KATY

HER BEDROOM

Katy looks over at the door as she hears the knock on the door and she sits up in the bed saying, "Come in."
Shawn walks in the room after opening the door and sits down in the swivel chair in the room across from her bed. He says, "We need to talk because I miss how we were before last night." She looks down for a minute in order to calm her breathing down ever since he came in the room and then looks back up at him giving him all her attention. "I felt something come alive in me when you kissed me last night K. We can say that it was all in the moment but I can say from my point of view I've been wanting to do that and more with you since I met you." he says honestly looking into her draws you in brown eyes.
She says, "No it wasn't just in the moment kiss, Shawn. It was and meant something to me, too. I just don't want to lose you after I tell you this." He nods smiling but the smile falls after she says the last part. He needs to know this, well a lot of people need to know this, because it's time if we want to be in a relationship or anything. "Kermit isn't a good guy at all like my mom thought he was. The marriage was forced and good at times when he wasn't a drunk and a cheat plus raping me at the same time. I was obligated to him and for that reason is why I never told anyone about the rape so yeah I'm ruined because of that." she says starting the terrifying marriage story.
That so wasn't what I thought that she would say what happened between her and Kermit but damn he is never touching her again. And, no I am never leaving her, I love her too much.
He stands up and walks over to her bed and slides in the bed with her to comfort her when he sees a few tears fall down her beautiful face. She says continuing the story that was proven by police and court, "One night after returning from work, he was in a terrible mood and to appease him this time I was going to make it easy for him that time but it was anything but that. What was suppose to be consensual was another rape and when I came to he had a knife to my throat and made me watch him have sex with two women but that was the last straw. After I got dressed I got my grandma to take me to the police and filed a report against him and now he's in jail." she says as he holds her and comforts her.

Shawn says honestly, "You are so strong and this just proves how strong you are K. Thank you for telling me this and no I'm not leaving you at all. You're stuck with me." Katy giggles and is relieved because he is not leaving her. "I'm glad that you told me and it makes me want to…" he says but stops because he is about to admit his true feelings for her.
Katy looks at him and asks, "What were you about to say Shawn?"
He says, "Nothing Katy." He turns over and she looks at his back as she gets an idea and lays down about to take a nap. "I'm in love with you Katy." he says finally admitting to her how he feels about her. She turns over after letting that sit in and goes through her mind and she places her hand on his bicep and he turns over and looks into her eyes.

She asks still in total shock, "Is that true?"
He says sincerely, "I am in love with you Katy Grace and have been since 1997."
She smiles brightly before asking, "This isn't just from what I've told you right?"
He says, "Nope this is real."
She leans in and kisses him softly once and says, "I'm in love with you too, Shawn Patrick." He smiles brightly and cups her face softly and kisses her passionately before the phone rings from out in the kitchen. "Awe." she says softly not wanting to stop.

Shawn says as he stands up, "To be continued."
Katy smiles and blushes as she says, "To be continued." She stands up with him and they walk out of her bedroom and run into the kitchen to see who will get the phone first. "Hello.'' She answers the phone as she grabs it first and places the earpiece to her right ear.
He smiles and watches her as the person on the phone says, "Hey sweetie, it's Amy."
She says, "Hey Mrs. Matthews, how are you doing?"
Amy Matthews says, "I'm doing really good. I want to invite you two for dinner tonight."
She looks over at him and smirks as he grabs a granola bar out of the pantry and she says to him, "She wants to invite us to dinner tonight."
He asks, "What are we having?"
Katy asks Amy after putting the phone back to her ear, "What are we having by chance?"
Amy says, "Spaghetti and fried okra."
She says relaying the message to him and he gives her the thumbs up, "We would love to. Isn't it family night tonight?"
Amy says, "Yes and since Topanga and Cory are gone and we have no idea where Eric is and you two always seem to want to spend time with us rather than our own kids…."
She says, "Sounds good to us."
Amy says, "By the way, you two may want to spend the night here since I know you two don't like to drive at night and I don't like you two driving at night by yourself."
Katy says, "Sounds great to us." Shawn walks back over to Katy and rubs her back as not to do anything that will show that anything has changed between them making her smile and look into his eyes as she relays what she was just told making him nod. "We'll see you later." she says.

Amy says, "Alright see you two later." They hang up and Katy places the phone back on the hook.
Shawn asks, "Will you go out to lunch with me Katy?"
Katy says seriously, "Yes I will. Let me go and change."
They go back to their own bedrooms and close their doors.
