Akaashi arrives way too early on the first day of rehearsals. He is excited about starting the practice that he couldn't stay at home at all. He decides that he is going to dance while he waits for the rest of them to arrive. Once inside the rehearsals room, he sets up the stereo to his favourite workout playlist and starts warming up for the day.

He makes sure to stretch his limbs properly, he doesn't want to pull any muscles on his first day back at dance practice. After warming up properly he plays his most favourite song to dance and he just dances freely for the first time in months. The joy of making a team and taking that first step towards the world stage is helping him dance easily.

He moves and flows like water. His movements haven't been this smooth for a while. The last time he danced like this was before he started fighting with Kuroo. The fights had taken a toll on his dancing abilities, always making him doubt himself. Always ending up overworking himself until those disastrous nationals after which he stopped dancing.

He is so lost in his world that he doesn't notice that he has an audience until he hears them applaud his dance after he finishes his routine.

"Akaashi-san, everyone is here," Yachi tells him once he has taken a drink break.

"Thank you, Yachi-san," he thanks her before addressing his team "Good morning. Since it is our first day together, I was thinking we can use today to show each other our specialities and then do a trial routine to see how we work together." Looking around he sees no protests from his teammates. "First let's get the introductions out of the way. I am Akaashi Keiji and as you have already seen I specialise in contemporary, ballet and freestyle".

"I will go next. I am Miya Atsumu but call me Atsumu. I have a twin brother. I specialise in street Hip-Hop and Latin dance forms," the man closest to him goes after him. Atsumu has golden yellow hair with a brown undercut. Large but slightly drooping hooded eyes. Just looking at him Akaashi can tell that he is going to be troublesome, nothing he can't handle.

They decided to go anti-clockwise from there for the introductions.

"I am Ennoshita Chikara and I specialize in traditional Japanese dance forms and lyrical hip-hop," Ennoshita looks like any other average guy with medium length dark brown hair and eyes. His eyes are slightly downturned making him look sleepy.

"I am Kozume Kenma. Call me Kenma I specialise in ballet and krumping," Kenma has golden hair with black roots, Cat-like golden eyes. An average height, small height and an unsteady posture.

"Sakusa Kiyoomi. I specialise in locking and popping and salsa," Sakusa has a fairly large muscular build with a tall height and has dark wavy hairs with two moles on his right side of the forehead.

"Futakuchi Kenji. I specialise in lyrical hip-hop and breakdancing," Futakuchi has a nice tall muscular build. Brown hair and large brown eyes with narrow eyebrows. He too looks troublesome to Akaashi.

"Yahaba Shigeru. I specialise in street hip-hop and turfing," Yahaba has light caramel hair, round brown eyes and a tall build. He has soft features making him look innocent with boyish charms.

"I am Shirabu Kenjirou. I specialise in break dancing and freestyle," Shirabu has copper-coloured hair styled almost like a bowl cut with uneven bangs, brown eyes with an average build.

They all turn towards Yachi who is taking notes in her diary. She blushes seeing their attention on him. " I am Yachi Hitoka, your manager. Nice to meet you," she bows at them.

Akaash taking pity on her focuses the attention back on him "So who wants to go first? But before that warm up properly. We don't want any accidents on the very first day."

Atsumu takes the first turn to show off his moves. His movement is clean and crisp. He never misses a beat and is always in rhythm.

Kenma goes next and despite his unsteady posture and small presence, he shines on the dance floor. They have no choice but to focus on his moves that draw their attention to them easily.

Ennoshita dancing style is simply described as textbook style. He is disciplined and precise in his moves. Like Atsumu he too never misses a beat..

Futakuchi dancing style is opposite of Ennoshita's. He doesn't follow any text book definition of what a dance form is supposed to look like instead adds his own touch to the routine.

Sakusa goes next. He is probably the most energetic member in the team. His moves are precise and the energy level never once wavers from the current level. He glides on the dance floor as if he is made to be there.

Shirabu's style is a mix of Ennoshita and Futakuchi. He follows the textbook style of dancing but adds his own touch when no one expects him too.

Yahaba takes the last turn. His movements are free like Akaashi's but with discipline involved to it. His precision is scary for the rest of them as he moves cleaning on the dance floor.

Finally all of them danced together on few well known choreography that they all know well enough for them to not make any mistakes. They dance together like well-oiled machine though they are out of sync a few times. It is not that practicing together can't fix. Akaashi is happy with the potential the team displays.

Later when they all are tired from dancing they hold a team meeting.

"What do you think?" Akaashi asks as they all sit in a circle.

"We were out of sync quite a lot. That will improve with practice I suppose," Shirabu shrugs.

"There were a couple of issues with our techniques. I think we can help each other improve on that," Sakusa says to which everyone agrees.

"Akaashi, who is going to be choreographing the routines for us? You?" Yahaba asks curuiously.

Everyone turns their attention to Akaashi. "I want us to work together on the choreography," he replies before looking in their eyes. "All of us have different style of dancing. We each have something to offer to the routine. I personally think if we work together and create a routine that defines us as a team. I think we can redefine dance. It will be the key to winning world of dance."

"I am not good at choreography but I am ready to help wherever I can," Kenma says.

"I am like Kenma. I can help whenever you need me to but I can't choreography alone," Ennoshita tells them.

"I can help with the choreography too," Futakuchi says.

"Akaashi, leaving choreography aside. Have you thought about what our team is going to be called?" Atsumu asks him.

Akaashi shakes his head. "I wanted to decide it together as a team. Do you guys have any suggestions?," he asks looking around.

"Body breaker," "Hot shots," Atsumu and Futakuchi says at the same time.

"That's lame," Atsumu says.

"So is your suggestion," Futakuchi scoffs.

"Both of you are lame," Sakusa tells them both.

"Nobody asked you," they say together to Sakusa and then glare at each other. The rest of them are looking at them with disbelief at their childish antics. Akaashi thinks how he is right about them. They are troublesome.

"I have a suggestion," Yachi interrupts their argument.

"What is it, Yachi-san?" Akaashi asks her.

"Revolution X. Since Akaashis-san wants the team to redefine dance, I think it will be perfect to describe you guys," Yachi says.

They all take a moment to consider her words. It does seems like the right name for them.

"Does anyone have any objections?" Akaashi asks around and no one objections. "Then its decided we are going to be called Revolution X. If anyone comes with a better name we can discuss it later," Akaashi decides.

"Thank you Yachi-san for your help," He thanks Yachi who beams at him.

They discuss a few more details before calling it a day. They decided that they are going to have full day rehearsals on weekends and half days on week days for now before changing it as the competition gets nearer.

After Akaashi locks up for the night, he sees Ennoshita and Futakuchi having a conversation few feets away from him. They are looking softly at each other as they whisper between them. It's not until Futakuchi grabs Ennoshita's hands and they lean into kiss each other that it clicks for Akaashi.

"Oh, they are dating," he realises. It then occurs to him that Ennoshita and Futakuchi both share a passion for dance and are supportive of each other.

Looking at Ennoshita and Futakuchi being supportive of each other makes Akaashi squirms with feelings that he didn't want to remember. It reminds him of his relationship with Kuroo. Unlike his relationship with Kuroo, there seems no friction between the other couple.

When they first started dating Kuroo was supportive of his passion for dance. He used to attend and cheer for him at his every dance competition. That had changed during the final months of them being together.

The fights had soon started after they moved in together. At first, it was about the smallest of things that neither of them minded after all they were adjusting to living together full-time. Then they started fighting over everything else too. Nothing they did was enough for the other.

He still remembers that first fight he had with Kuroo just a few weeks after moving in with him.

The nationals are a couple of months away and the Todai's dance team has started preparing for it in full swing. The rehearsals have started to pick up their pace often running until late in the night. Today is one such night and all Akaashi wants to do is go home and cuddle with his boyfriend.

He enters the apartment to find Kuroo working on his laptop in the living room.

"I am back," he calls out to him.

"You are late again tonight," Kuroo says from his spot on the sofa.

"Sorry the rehearsals ran late," Akaashi says as he puts down his stuff on their dining table before searching for something to eat. He is hungry after burning all that calories in the practice.

"They have been running awfully late lately," Kuroo comments.

"The nationals are two months away. We need to practice hard if we want a chance at winning it this year," he says as he heats up leftovers from last night.

"So it is going to be a regular occurrence?" Kuroo questions, frowning a little. His voices come out a bit curt.

Akaashi looks over in confusion. He doesn't know why Kuroo is behaving like that.

"Yes, it is going to be like until the nationals are going to be over," he answers.

"So does that mean I won't ever see you properly for the next two months?" Kuroo questions him, his voice doesn't convey his emotions.

"Of course not there are going to be rest days which I am going to spend with you," he answers confused.

"I am not okay with that Keiji I need more time than that. You can't just spend only one day of the week with me," Kuroo raises his voice a little.

The food is forgotten by Akaashi who is shocked at his boyfriend's reaction.

"Testu, you are being ridiculous. I need to rehearse for the nationals you know they are important for him," he chides him.

"And I am not?" Kuroo challenges him.

"Of course you are," Akaashi too raises his voice. "You are the most important person in my life but, you need to understand I have a busy schedule and you need to get used to it. It's only temporarily," he tries to reason with the other.

"I am not going to wait for you at home all alone," Kuroo refuses to budge on the issue.

"What do you want me to do, Tetsurou? Leave the dance team?" he scoffs. Akaashi can feel his temper rising about how demanding Kuroo is getting.

"If that's what would keep you around more then yes I want you to leave the dance team," Kuroo finally says.

Akaashi goes silent hearing him. He can't believe that his boyfriend who is normally so supportive of his dancing is now asking him to leave the very thing that makes him happy.

"You know I can't do that," he replies after a tense moment between them. He can feel a headache coming. He decides to retreat to their room instead of arguing further with him. He stops at the doorway to their room and looks back at his boyfriend. "You know, Tetsu. You were busy with the debate team last month. I didn't see you properly either for the whole month. I didn't complain even once because I knew it was important to you," he gives a hard look to the other before banging the door behind him.

He goes to pitiful sleep that night without food or cuddles with his boyfriend.

They had made up the next day but the fight had left an impression on Akaashi. It certainly was not the last fight between them. Over the next two months, they had many other fights over the subject.

They had made up the next day but, the fight had left an impression on Akaashi. It certainly was not the last fight between them. Over the next two months, they had many other arguments over the subject.

He walks home in a daze still thinking about Kuroo and himself. He is disturbed with the idea that Kuroo is still so fresh in his mind. That Kuroo's actions still affect him.

It is not until he gets off the elevator on his floor and sees the figure in front of him that he comes to his senses. There stands Bokuto ready to ring the bell to Daichi and Suga's.

"Hey Akaashi, are you ready for dinner?" Bokuto beams at him once he spots him.

He has forgotten about the dinner at Daichi and Suga. He has promised to join them on Fridays for dinner. He finds that he has no energy left in him to spend the rest of the night socializing.

"Sorry Bokuto-san, I am tired from the practice. I will be going straight to bed. Can you apologize to Suga-san and Daichi-san for me? I promise I will join from next time onwards," he makes an excuse.

"Sure, Akaashi. Have a good night," Bokuto smiles at him.

"Good night Bokuto-san," he replies and enters the apartment without waiting for a reply.

He doesn't notice the way Bokuto glances over at his retreating back with concern.

He drops down on his bed and lets himself cry to sleep. He feels pathetic over crying over a man who no longer exists in his life. He hates himself for shedding tears for Kuroo but he can't help himself either after all Kuroo was the only love of his life and he left him alone and shattered him to pieces.

All he can do now is cry over the memories. He wishes he can get over Kuroo already. He was having such an amazing day which got spoiled before he can't get Kuroo out of his mind.

His fights with Kuroo over dancing plagues him during the whole night leaving him in a spiteful sleep.
