Devil May Cry Olympus Titans Curse
ESKK: Well here we are Chapter 4 of this fic. Hope you all will enjoy it so let's begin.
(Start Hunters of Artemis Camp)
After ordering Zoe and her Hunters to set up camp and give their guests some food and drink, Artemis took Patty aside to talk to her about if she'd like to join the Hunters. While Artemis wanted nothing more than to hug her son close to her and never let him leave her side, she had to be patient. She'd rather do that later after everything important was done, but her bonding with her son was her number priority.
Artemis stood before Patty, looking down at the girl with her arms crossed. "Have you thought over your decision?" Artemis asked as she looked to one of her children's oldest of friends
She had told the girl of what being a Hunter grants, but upon the girl asking about her brother and Artemis telling her she wouldn't see him as much as she did before, she knew the girl's decision but she understood. "Sorry but I decline your offer." Patty said after not long after hearing the explanation of all it entails and felt confidence build up inside of her as she stared the Goddess of the Moon in the eye. "While it does sound good...I don't want to lose my friends, I can't just up and leave any of them like that." Patty said as she was also thinking of her own mother. "Plus I can't leave mom either… she's all I've really got other than Dante and the others." Patty said and thus Artemis took her words to heart.
Artemis sighed and closed her eyes but she didn't feel too disappointed with the girl's choice. Dante was a huge impact on Patty's life before they found her mother. Evan and Calisto were practically raised with her by Dante to the point of practically being siblings in all but blood. At least Dante never flirted with them, considering they still remained as young girls in their early teens and Dante was just reaching his twenties when they first met.
"I understand and accept your choice." Artemis said with a small smile as she knew her children had surrounded themselves with loyal friends and allies. You may join your friends now, I will need to speak with my children and Perseus Jackson." Artemis said and I turn Patty nodded and took her leave. But before she left she stopped and looked to the Goddess of the Hunt.
"Um Artemis… about Tyr…. Do you by chance know who is Olympian Parent is?" Patty asked as she looked to her childhood friend's mother.
Hearing this Artemis should have expected as much. She actually did have a theory and if she was right… Apollo was going to pay big time for not telling any of them about this Tri-Breed. "Not completely… but I do have a theory." Artemis confessed and in turn Patty nodded knowing that whoever Tyr's Olympian Parent was needed to get him under control before he and Calisto ended up killing each other… or much worse.
(Meanwhile over with the others)
Calisto had bandages wrapped around her body as she was given a fresh set of cloths. Her Wicked Weave fueled by her power and they had quickly found out that even that was finite. Percy and Grover were forced to look away but Calisto took a Bayonetta pose and teased them both with the view. Evan wanted to gorge his eyes out mainly because Calisto was still his twin sister. So after this the group had gathered in the main tent with food and drinks and were just talking now.
"Anything Kat?" Evan asked as he looked to Kat with concern for her.
"Nothing, I can't contact Corvus or sense him still." Kat said as Evan looked to her with concern for her, Annabeth, and Corvus.
"Dammit." Evan cursed as he looked to the gem and knew Corvus was still alive and well out there. The question still remained if they can find him and Annabeth wherever they currently are.
"You going to be ok Percy?" Calisto asked as she looked to Percy.
"Yeah I just…" Percy trailed off as he held Annabeth's invisibility hat.
"I get it bro I'd probably feel the same way if it was…" Evan trailed off as he looked to Kat who looked at her Buckler where the dull gem that held Corvus was located.
"Dude it's not like that at all!" Percy defended but Evan smirked and pat him I the back on this.
"Sure it's not." Evan said as he then got up and walked off a bit to stay closer to Kat.
Opting to change the subject fast Thalia began to speak up. "You know." Thalia began getting everyone's attention. "I still can't believe Nightshade could smile at a BOY of all people, I mean last time I met her she was really against boys." Thalia said, remembering her first and only meeting with Zoe Nightshade, the girl glared at Luke for just about everything and anything. To know that Zoe didn't mind another boy...it was shocking, then again it was the son of Artemis...but still!
"Then thou clearly knows not of mine person that well, Grace." Zoe said with a smirk as she arrived and shot her smirk at Thalia who narrowed her eyes at Lady Artemis Second in command.
"It's 'you,' and 'me,' Nightshade. Get it right." Thalia said with a roll of her eyes, getting sick of Zoe speaking like this was still the days of Shakespeare.
"Ugh, this language always changes." Zoe muttered before she smiled at the twin children of her lady before the smile faltering just a little when seeing Kat cuddled with Evan. Zoe didn't like how close the daughter of Aphrodite was to the Grandson of Sparda and Eva. As any elder sister for her younger brother Zoe didn't want Evan to be a corrupted heartbreaker thanks to the daughter of Aphrodite like so many of Aphrodite's daughters have done and caused many boys to become the kind she hated.
"Lady Artemis wishes to see you three." Zoe said, pointing at Evan, Percy, and Calisto. "ONLY you three." She added pointedly when looking at Kat who shied away from it on instinct alone.
"Here we go the riot act." Calisto said knowing full well after that bout with Tyr and the damage they had caused her mother was not going to be happy about any of what had occurred.
"For once it's not going to be me who gets it." Evan said as even he knew what was coming. Zoe sighed knowing how Evan tended to act out a lot. But Zoe knew the reason Evan did it was because he wanted people to know what they did what he does for them all. It may seem childish but as some say appreciation for what someone does can go a long way for everyone. In turn Calisto, Evan, and Percy followed Zoe to meet with Artemis leaving Kat, the returned Patty, Thalia, Grover, and Bianca behind.
(Later outside Artemis tent)
As they walked towards the big tent which must be Artemis'. Percy noticed some of the Hunters giving him looks like he was about to do something wrong in their eyes but they didn't look at Evan like that.
"They don't seem very happy to see me." Percy whispered to the twins to which Evan and Calisto knew why.
"They've had bad experiences with guys, experiences that haunt them." Calisto said calmly giving information mainly from what she knows of the Hunters of Artemis.
"Yeah when I first joined up even part time they gave me the stink eye for a little bit." Evan said knowing that sometimes life threw him a hard ball.
Soon as the trio entered Artemis' tent where the Goddess herself was sitting down with her legs in a basket, sharpening her daggers when they entered. She nodded at Zoe who came to stand beside her, then smiled softly at the twins and gestured for them to sit before her.
Before they can begin speaking Artemis looked at Percy who looked a little surprised, considering he first saw her as a little girl then change into an older woman. "Are you surprised by my age?" Artemis asked no doubt her form made Percy both surprised and concerned.
"Uh…a little." Percy said sheepishly, getting a quiet amused snort from the Twins. Artemis shot her son a playful look before looking back at Percy with her expression going serious in the blink of an eye, seems she leaves soft expressions and tones for her son and the Hunters.
"I could appear as a grown woman, or a blazing fire, or anything else I want, but this is what I prefer. This is the average age of my Hunters, and all young maidens for whom I am patron, "You must forgive my Hunters if they do not welcome you," Artemis said knowing how most boys are received if they are allowed in the camp. "It is very rare that we would have boys in this camp. Boys are usually forbidden to have any contact with the Hunters. The last one to see this camp…" She trailed off before she looked at Zoe. "Which one was it?" Artemis asked no doubt her memory failing her a bit.
"That boy in Colorado," Zoe said as she remembered the event clearly. "You turned him into a jackalope." Zoe said as Evan and Calisto gave Artemis a glare for that one.
"Yeah when we found out we had to look for the damn thing to have mom turn him back to normal." Evan said as he no doubt hated that particular adventure.
"Took us the whole day before I was ready to say fuck it and leave." Calisto added as that wasn't a happy time for her either. "We ended up going through about 10 different horned rabbits before we eventually found the right one.
"I ended up calling dad about it who then talked to mom about it." Evan said to which Artemis knew that her Kids had a point here.
Artemis sighed but nodded none the less. "Yes, your father convinced me to change the boy back. Said his parents were probably looking for him and were worried." Artemis said knowing full well how hard it was to break old habits. "I tried to stop myself from doing so beforehand but old habits do tend tend to die hard especially if you are an immortal goddess." Artemis said before she looked at her twin Tri-Breed children. "I'm trying to change for good reasons." Artemis said and thus she had to get down to why she called the trio all here.
"Now, Percy, I've asked you here so that you might tell me more of the Manticore. I would like to know if he said anything of interest." Artemis said as she was trying to find evidence that Olympus needs to prepare for a second Titan War that was upon them.
And so the Trio began to recount everything that had occurred during their shared excursion. They even recounting what happened with Dr. Thorn right up to Calisto taking on Tyr one on one. When they were done, Artemis put her hand thoughtfully on her silver bow. "I feared this was the answer." Artemis said as she knew that this was trouble.
Zoe sat forward as she heard the tone her lady had used. "The scent, my lady?" Zoe asked as she looked to the Goddess of the hunt.
"Yes." Artemis confirmed as the group all heard this.
"What scent?" Evan asked as he looked to his mother with understandable concern. Over the past year there had been a few more demon attacks than there used to be hence why he, Bianca, and Calisto went to part time with Artemis hunt. While Nero and his new partner Nico Goldstein were driving around the country in the Devil May Cry RV Evan, Bianca, and Calisto were hunting demons through their mothers hunt. The image of the demons fighting for Luke during the Sea of Monsters quest came to mind. Was Luke working with someone from the Demon world? If so then who would side with Luke that would be able to give them then information to trick a Lumen Sage or better yet even find a live one.
"Things are stirring that I have not hunted in millennia," Artemis murmured as she realized the Trinity was starting to tip. With a new Sage who was also a Tri-Breed the balance of power was shifting violently. "Prey so old I have nearly forgotten." Artemis added as she knew not only these ancient foes were appearing but so too were Demons whom had marked her for death long ago.
"It's more than that isn't it mom?" Evan asked as he looked to his mother with concern. "You think there's probably going to be a war with Paradiso and Inferno soon… don't you?" Evan asked as he looked to his mother with a sense of dread for such a thing.
"I truly hope not Evan." Artemis said knowing the, prophesy of the words end on her children was still active.
"We also need to remember we might be caught between a grudge match between Paradiso and Inferno now that there's a Lumen Sage out there." Calisto said and thus that was just a scary thought. Everyone looked to Calisto for saying it who then shrugged in response to it all. "Someone had to say it." Calisto confessed as she shrugged.
"Anyway before I jumped in Thorn mentioned some General." Evan said getting the groups attention. "Does it mean anything to you?" Evan asked as he in turn took note to how Zoe's face paled. "I didn't get much after I jumped in so as far as I know it's all he said at the time." Evan said to which Percy nodded in agreement with Evan.
"There is a monster out there on in particular." Artemis said as she grew worried for what was to come. "It's the only one that can possibly bring the downfall of Olympus if we don't find it." Artemis said as she knew this monsters story. "I must hunt it down." Artemis said and in turn Zoe then moved into action.
Zoe looked like she was trying very hard not to be afraid, but she nodded. "We will leave right away, my lady." Zoe said but Artemis begged to differ on her friend's attempt.
"No, Zoe. I must do this alone." Artemis said to which this surprised Zoe.
"But, Artemis—" Zoe tried to reason but Artemis was adamant on this.
"This task is too dangerous even for the Hunters. You know where I must start my search. You cannot go there with me." Artemis said but she wasn't done just yet. "Furthermore with Demons wanting a piece of me you are in danger for being near me with their increased activity." Artemis said and in turn she knew she got through to Zoe.
"As… as you wish, my lady." Zoe said with a nod knowing there was no convincing Artemis otherwise here.
I will find this creature," Artemis vowed as she stood up ready to go. "And I shall bring it back to Olympus by winter solstice. It will be all the proof I need to convince the Council of the Gods of how much danger we are in." She said knowing that they needed to prepare for war against the Titans.
"You know what the monster is?" Percy asked to which all was silent in the tent.
Artemis gripped her bow which the twins took note of. "Let us pray I am wrong." Artemis said knowing if it was out there and she found it then war was coming.
"Can Olympians even pray?" Evan joked to which got all eyes on him for it. "Sorry just couldn't resist there." Evan said to which it was clear he was trying to lighten the mood here. Still the twins shared an uneasy feeling in their stomach over the thought of their mother out there on her own. The two Tri-Breeds didn't know why seeing as their mother was a badass woman who's hunted worse monsters and killed them, surely this one will be like a walk in the park...right?
A small smile came across Artemis' face at her son's little joke attempt. She looked at the three demigods in front of her. "I want you three to take my Hunters to Camp Half-Blood, where they will wait until I return." Artemis ordered as she looked to the Son of Poseidon and her twin children.
"What?" Zoe looked at her patron with wide eyes. "But, Artemis, we hate that place. The last time we stayed there—" Zoe tried to convince otherwise but Artemis was already ahead of her oldest of friends.
"Yes, I know," Artemis said to which the twins wondered what happened last time they stayed at Camp. "But I'm sure Dionysus will not hold a grudge just because of a little, ah, misunderstanding. It's your right to use Cabin Eight whenever you are in need. Besides, I hear they rebuilt the cabins you burned down." Artemis said as Evan was not really curious on what had happened last time.
Zoe muttered something about foolish campers before she turned her attention to Evan. "And what about him milady?" Zoe asked to which Artemis already had a response to the Huntress.
"Evan already has his own room within the cabin so I don't wish to hear from either Chiron or my about you or any of the others not allowing him into the cabin where he belongs among his elder sisters." Artemis said as she looked to her oldest of friends.
"As you command milady." Zoe said accepting this before she gave Evan a stern look.
"Don't perve on us, little brother." Zoe joked with the boy as Evan didn't take kindly to that.
"Hey!" Evan growled out as he looked to Zoe. "I get enough of that teasing from Calisto don't need to add another to the list." Evan said and thus Calisto smirked.
"Guilty as charge." Calisto quipped not even denying what she does.
"Go get some rest." Artemis ordered lightly, chuckling and watched them stand and start to leave. "Not you, Calisto. Stay here." Artemis stopped knowing it was time to acknowledge the elephant in the hunter's tent.
Calisto paused and watched Percy and Evan leave. Zoe gave her a small hug before leaving as well and
Calisto turned to look at her mother who then spoke. "Calisto what happened out there?" Artemis asked as she saw what was going on between her and Tyr during the fight.
"What do you mean? I didn't lose control of my demons this time." Calisto said sounding oddly defensive about it.
"No you lost control of yourself." Artemis said as she saw the look Calisto was giving during her battle with Tyr. Calisto was deriving a form of pleasure out of that battle and the only people she had seen that happen to were Dante, Vergil, Evan, and Evelyn. Calisto was the fifth person she had seen it happen to now.
"I was in complete control ok it's just that guy was pissing me off." Calisto defended but Artemis saw through her daughters defensive walls.
"Calisto ignoring a problem won't make it go away… trust me I've tried." Artemis said and thus Calisto growled but let it go none the less.
"I don't know ok it's like every fiber of my being was screaming at me to fight and to keep fighting till one of us stays down." Calisto confessed as she looked to her mother.
"The Demon inside you must have been drawn out when you faced another Tri-Breed especially since said foe was of angelic origins." Artemis theorized as it was like with Dante and Vergil way back when. What made it worse was thanks to this confrontation the Right Eye had awoken within this Lumen Sage and Kronos most likely has the Right Eye to aid his forces.
"Why would Apollo want us to recue that jerk?" Calisto asked and thus Artemis realized why this happened and knew that Apollo had some explaining to do about this boy.
"I don't know… but I intend to find out." Artemis said and knew that she needed to speak with her brother over this important matter.
(Scene Break the next Morning)
Morning was coming as the twins stood next to as they and the hunters and demigods all stood on top of a nearby hill as they waited for dawn to arrive.
It was colder and darker then it usually was, proving that winter was in full effect in the cold December morning as everyone was wrapped up warmly in their jackets, making sure they fully zipped up to prevent getting sick. Next to Evan and Calisto were Patty and Kat all of whom were waiting for their ride to show up to take them to Camp.
Beside Artemis were Zoe and the rest of hunters. The hunters had managed to put the camp away and take it all down as quick as they had put it up. It was rather impressive at how quick and efficient they had worked, once again proving why the monsters were known to greatly fear them.
From behind the twins, the Tri-breeds could hear Thalia, Percy and Grover talking to one another in hushed voices. Just then Artemis sighed and shook her head. "Your uncle is incredibly lazy during the winter." She said no doubt willing to give Apollo a piece of her mind after this depending how their discussion turns out in the end.
"What is Uncle Apollo like? His kids at camp don't know much about him since he can't visit often or has no time to at least." Calisto asked as Evan honestly didn't care much.
Artemis grimaced at the question since most knew what a pain in the ass Apollo was to her most of the time. "Your Uncle is rather...eccentric, sometimes I wonder how we are even related, much less twins. He is a major flirt and flirts with pretty much any girl and he enjoys breaking the rules. He is self-centered, he is cocky and he is quite arrogant." Artemis explained and thus Calisto understood.
"But despite his faults he does do his duties, even if he slacks at them most times and unlike some other gods and goddesses he does claim all his children. Just be prepared when you meet him, he is more like a kid then a god." She said as Evan can see where his mother was coming from here.
"So in a way he is the opposite of you." He said as Artemis thought it over before shrugging.
"That's one way of putting it. If him and Dante ever met..." Artemis shivered and shook her head as the thought of it would spell doom for the entire human world.
"Aren't you worried about him meeting us?" Calisto asked and thus Artemis went wide eyed as she remembered who Evan and Calisto tend to act like due to role models.
"Uh-oh." Artemis said realizing Evan and Calisto were basically in danger of being corrupted by their Olympian Uncle Apollo when he finally arrives for them.
Acting fast Evan spoke up to change the subject to calm his mother down a bit. "So does he really drive a sun chariot?" He asked since he had heard the legend of his uncle pulling a chariot across the sky.
"Yes he does though knowing Apollo it's probably turned into some kind of car or motorcycle. Depends what his pick of the week is." Artemis said but her tone suggests she did not exactly approve of such a thing.
"Yeah I remember you sent you Chariot down when I was close to being in a Tentacle Hentai." Calisto added and thus Artemis nodded with pride for her actions there.
"Of course if there is one thing we can all agree on Tentacles and woman do not mix in such a way." Artemis said to which Calisto nodded before the two high fived each other.
"Question how do you two even know about that sort of thing to begin with?" Evan asked and thus the two went wide eyed at the implication of Evan's words.
"Fuck you that's how." Calisto defended and flipped off her brother who then smirked but left it be for now.
A few moments later everyone saw sky begin to lighten and the first small bits of the sun began to rise. "It's about time." Artemis said as she crossed her arms no doubt tired of waiting on her brother Apollo. As they watched the horizon a strong light hit them along with a strong warmth that caught the twins and the others a little of guard though the hunters remained as stoic as ever.
"Close your eyes and don't open them until he parks." Artemis advised them as they all followed her orders as did the Hunters. Clearly none of them wanted to lose their eye sight anytime soon and thus following this order was not only important it was common sense to do so.
Evan could feel the light and the heat intensity and it made him want to take his coat off as he found himself beginning to sweat from the sudden intense heat as did his sister, Calisto. Everyone else was beginning to feel the same way. However just as quick as it came, it suddenly disappeared and the cold air was all he felt once again.
Slowly everyone began to open their eyes and look in front of them.
In front of them was a red convertible Maserati Spyder and Calisto could hear Percy and Evan making comments. "That's the car I always wanted." Percy said as he saw the sports car before him.
"Good to know I'll let you know how it drives when I get one of my own in the future." Evan countered as he wanting something similar to what they were seeing.
"Only in your wet dreams bro." Calisto countered as she smirked at her brother. The group had also noticed that the car was glowing because the metal was so hot. The heat had made the snow all around the car completely melt away causing the area around it too change for it. The area where the snow once was now looked like snow had never been there in the first place. Beneath their feet was now green grass that was a little bit wet, the only remnants of the snow from just moments ago.
The passengers door open and who they could only guess was Apollo stepped out of it.
Apollo looked around eighteen to nineteen years of age and had sandy blonde hair and tanned skin with very outdoorsy good looks. He was taller than Evan or Calisto was and had a very playful smile on his face, like he had just been up to no good similar to their father's own look. He wore jeans and loafers and a sleeveless T-shirt. "Guess he's are immediate uncle other than Vergil." Calisto said with a smirk on her face.
"Seems that way." Evan said as he had to admit, after how their Mother described him, he kind of looked what the twins had imagined him to be.
"He's hot." Thalia said as Kat was blushing in response to Apollo's arrival.
"He is the sun god." Percy clarified knowing it was to be expected of this.
All the while Artemis gave her brother both an annoyed and stern look clearly ticked off after Calisto fought Tyr. Apollo made his way to his annoyed sister. "Little sister! What's up? You never call. You never write. I was getting worried!"
Artemis sighed letting her frustration calm a bit. "I'm fine, Apollo. And I am not your little sister." She began and thus Apollo had a counter.
"Hey, I was born first." Apollo defended as he looked to his twin sister.
"We're twins! How many millennia do we have to argue—" Artemis began and thus Evan and Calisto saw this go down.
"So what's up?" Apollo interrupted his sister while taking note of the hunt gathered here. "Got the girls with you, I see. You all need some tips on archery?" He offered as Evan and Calisto had a bewildered look on their faces.
"Is that what we're like?" Calisto asked as she leaned to Evan.
"Dear God is so strange seeing it from the outside." Evan confessed sharing his sister bewildered look as well.
"Should be thankful we inherited their relationship and not Dad and Uncle Vergil's." Calisto said as the twins couldn't believe how sibling like these two were. Yet at the same time they were so different with Apollo seemingly being laid back and relaxed while their mom was more serious and respectful.
Then of course their talking actually got Apollo's attention. Apollo looked at the twins and narrowed his eyes for a moment as if trying to place the two somewhere before they widened. "NIECE AND NEPHEW!" Apollo cried out as he then grabbed the two and spun them around causing the two to yelp from the entire ordeal. "I've always wanted to meet the two of you! Finally I get to meet both my niece and my nephew." He cheered as the twins tried to break free from Apollo's grip. "And here I thought you, mom, and Hestia were keeping them all to yourselves." He said giving his sister a skeptical look. "But not anymore! Uncle Apollo is here now and I am here to stay." He said as he began spinning around making the twin Tri-Breeds give their mother a pleading look.
"Help me!" Evan mouthed as nearby the Demigods including Patty and Kat had to stifle their laughter for all this. But of course giggles made their way through them anyway.
"Apollo put them down this instant." Artemis demanded as Apollo pouted at his sister before he begrudgingly put him down as the twins tried to regain their footing with Evan cracking back. Even Calisto had to admit that their Uncle was stronger than he looked.
"Aww come on Arty this is the first time I have met both my nephew and my niece." Apollo began trying to appease to his sister. "They are probably the only one's I'm gonna get from you after all, unless you and Dante are-" He stopped when seeing the glare on his sister's face. "I'll shut up now." Apollo saw the look on his sister's face and sighed. "Fine Artemis, what is it you need?" Apollo asked and thus Artemis got down to her request.
"You had asked both Chiron and my hunters to retrieve a Demigod for you." Artemis said as Apollo began to get worried a tad bit. "Did it escape your reason to at all mention that this particular Demigod was actually a Tri-Breed and a Lumen Sage to boot?" Artemis asked as she almost dared Apollo to avoid this important topic.
"Um I can explain." Apollo said as Artemis glared at Apollo.
"Yes because not only did he fight my daughter she managed to take her on blow to blow." Artemis said as she was far from done with this subject. "We can also include the fact that he was able to summon Angels but also take on a form similar to a Devil Trigger suggests he isn't some novice either." Artemis said as Apollo knew he was in trouble now. "Now where did he come from?" Artemis asked her hand gripping her bow tightly here.
"Um several centuries ago in Europe before we came here before the war between the Witches and Sages." Apollo said hoping to appease his sister.
"Go on." Artemis said as Evan saw this with a smirk as did his sister.
"Ok it's a long story but I'll try to summarize the important bits…" Apollo began as he took out his Lyre. "In song!" He called only for lyre to be shot out of his hand curtesy of Evan and his hand gun elegantly named Jekyll. He then spun the gun in his hand and holstered it almost daring Apollo to try again on this path. "Fine…" Apollo said realizing when he was beat. "Tyr mother was where he got his angelic and human blood from." Apollo began and thus revealed images using magic to show Tyr as an infant and Apollo. "Now back then I was off looking to make a Demigod and then this nun walks up to me dressed in them Lumen Robes and just being divine." Apollo recounted as he smiled remembering that woman.
"Turns out she wasn't human and when she made poetry… well let's just say she made it sound like she was singing more than spinning a poem." Apollo said as thus got to the nitty gritty. "Anyway Tyr grew up and after his mother died." He paused showing it was a painful subject for the God of Truth. "He joined the Lumen Sages and eventually became part of their war." Apollo said as he then went on. "He had a mission at the time to deliver valuable information to the Lumen Elders that would have won their Clan the war." Apollo said as he showed Tyr's image taking the scrolls and running off to deliver it.
"But he was ambushed by the Witches and when I couldn't sense him I thought he died." Apollo said as he looked to the group showing he did care and worried for Tyr as well as grieved for him like any father would if they're son died.
"Well apparently he didn't die so how did that happen?" Calisto asked wanting to know how this Sage had survived without any major outside help.
"Well unless I actually examine him… the only major thing I can think of is that a combination of his mixed nature and his practices as a Lumen Sage may have preserved his life in a form of suspended animation." Apollo theorized sounding oddly smart about this sort of thing. "Being the last of his clan had placed him in the perfect situation to claim the Right Eye and with it basically given the enemies of Olympus one of the Eyes of the world." Apollo said as he knew how bad this turn of events were for all of them.
"So you had nothing to do with him turning against us or even appearing here?" Artemis asked as she looked to her twin brother.
"I only started sensing him a couple days ago but thanks to those trice damned ancient laws I could not come for him myself." Apollo confessed and in turn they got everything they could out of him. "Now baby sis was there anything else you needed?" Apollo asked and in turn Artemis nodded calmly to him.
"Yes I do need one last thing from you Apollo." Artemis said knowing Apollo would try to keep close tabs on Tyr to track down the last of the Lumen. "See I have some hunting to do, alone. I need you to take my companions to Camp Half-Blood." Apollo said making her request of Apollo known.
"Sure, sis!" He said as he smiled happily while the group looked to him with varying forms of confusion.
"Ok I admit he's a weirdo." Evan said as he looked to his mother.
"You have no idea how right you are." She said as Apollo raised his hands in a stop everything gesture.
"I feel a haiku coming on." Apollo said and in turn made Artemis and the hunters all groaned as soon as he spoke and made Evan, the two witches, and the others raise an eyebrow all looking at the Sun God questioningly while said god cleared his throat and made a dramatic pose.
"Green grass breaks through snow.
Artemis pleads for my help.
I am so cool."
The God of the Sun grinned at his audience, as if expecting applause. "Ok that was so terrible even Lady Astarte wanted to vomit from it." Calisto said as all eyes went to her. "Hell not only was the last line four syllables making it short by one word you even." Calisto began until Percy put a hand on her shoulder.
"Ok Calisto that's enough you made your point." Percy said knowing full well Calisto tended to be like the mean judge in American Idol.
"Are we sure she's yours?" Apollo asked almost teary eyes at how Calisto shot him down like that.
In turn Apollo received a well-placed hit to the head for his insolence, not telling them all the information they needed, and most of all to focus on their current task. "Pay attention block head." Artemis said as Apollo nursed his head. "These demigods will also be needing a ride to the camp. They are some of Chiron's campers." Artemis explained and thus Apollo had his task to carry out.
"No problem!" Apollo said more than happy to help before he checked them all out. "Let's see… Thalia, right? I've heard all about you." Apollo said as he looked to the daughter of Zeus.
Thalia blushed to this and the fact she became well known. "Hi, Lord Apollo." Thalia greeted as she looked to her half-brother.
"Zeus's girl, yes? Makes you my half-sister. Used to be a tree, didn't you? Glad you're back. I hate it when pretty girls turn into trees. Man, I remember one time—" Apollo began and thus Artemis had enough here.
"Brother," Artemis said getting her brother to focus once more. "You should get going." Artemis said but Apollo wasn't done just yet.
"In a minute." Apollo said as he waved his sister off before he then looked over to Percy. But instead of making some kind of joke he just narrowed his eyes and for a moment he had a look of seriousness on his face. "Percy Jackson?" Apollo asked and in turn Percy panicked a bit in response.
Now Percy shuffled on the spot since the look Apollo gave him made him feel a little uneasy. "Yeah. I mean...yes, sir." Percy greeted as he looked to the Demigod Son of Poseidon with intent. Apollo looked like he was going to say more but decided against it. Instead of meeting the rest of the group he decided to skip them much to their delight and relief. Kat especially since she did not want Apollo to hit on her with Evan in front of them knowing that would not go well.
"Well!" Apollo began getting everyone's attention. "We'd better load up, huh? Ride only goes one way...west. And if you miss it, you miss it." Apollo said as he began to change his Chariots form again.
Everyone looked over to the car and the demigods all wondered how they were all going to fit in it. Apollo chuckled and clicked his fingers as the car shined brightly making most cover their eyes. Once the shining stopped, in the cars place was a shuttle bus.
"Alright everyone on board." Apollo said as Zoe began to lead the hunters on first while Artemis gave Apollo a good talking too.
"You do not help my Hunters. You do not look at, talk to, or flirt with my Hunters. And most of all you DO. NOT. Flirt with Calisto." Artemis said as she did not need her own grandchildren to be her own niece and nephew via her only daughter. "If you do any of that just know I have some of the occults best hunters on speed dial." Artemis said showing she will not hesitate to call in Dante his crew and/or Bayonetta and her crew to hurt Apollo.
"I get it no need to worry about them." Apollo said but even he was afraid of Dante and Bayonetta.
"So how are we all going to fit?" Patty asked as she got a bit nervous about riding in a car to their desired destination.
"Don't worry we'll fit." Apollo said as he snapped his fingers and in turn the car turned into a large bus for them to ride.
"Awesome." Percy said as he saw this happen before him.
"I know." Evan agreed as he saw this take place.
"Ok ladies and three boys lets load up!" Calisto called out causing Zoe to respond.
"Calisto thou art leader of thine mother's hunt nor second in command at the moment." Zoe said as she passed by Calisto knowing she had to keep an eye on the two trouble maker Tri-Breeds. Calisto deflated a bit when Zoe said this feeling this was going to be a long winter for some reason.
"So can I drive?" Evan asked as he looked to his uncle. "Since I am your nephew and son to your only full-blooded sister that does get me spoiling points." Evan said to which Calisto smirked after she heard this.
"Using that same argument couldn't I ask him if I can drive?" Calisto asked to which Apollo had a counter argument for Evan to use
"Hate to say it kid but you already got to drive Arties Moon Chariot this one goes to Evan." Apollo said to which Evan began to grin in response to this.
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this Grover said as everyone shared that bad feeling he felt. As Evan sat on the driver's seat cracking his knuckles Apollo took a spot behind him to guide the Tri-Breed.
"Is this really okay for him to be driving?" Kat asked Apollo, since she did not know if Evan had any past experience driving vehicles of any kind what so ever. He had not told her of the incident that happened with Lady or Trish's motorcycles when he was younger.
"I really think this is a bad idea." Calisto said as she knew of the incident considering she took part in it then diched Evan when the aftermath had started.
"Don't sweat it! Maine to Long Island is a really short trip I got this." Evan said laughing though no one else joined in with him especially Calisto.
"Go ahead little nephew, let's get going." Apollo said patting him on the back as Evan played around with the clutch to get it right before he pushed down on the gas and started moving.
"Speed equals heat." Apollo advised as Evan began to drive the Sun Bus. "So start slowly, and make sure you've got good altitude before you really open her up." He said as Evan nodded while keeping his eyes on the road.
Calisto ran to a seat and proceeded to strap herself in for what was to come. Seeing Calisto do this Zoe and in turn many of the other hunters began to do the same knowing exactly how reckless Evan Redgrave was.
Once Evan felt they had gotten enough speed he tilted the wheel back and the bus slowly but efficiently went into the air. When Evan felt he had gone high enough he kept it in a calm speed while taking a quick peek out the window as did everyone else.
Beneath them were rings of trees that they had taken off from and had left behind. Everyone looked calm and happy at the speed they were going in while Apollo looked a little bored. Evan gave his Uncle a questioning look.
"This is a little boring. Come on little nephew, be more lively." He asked pleadingly, making Evan smirk thinking he could prove to his energetic uncle that he was not as boring as he thought.
"Oh boy you should not have said that." Calisto said realizing they were screwed.
"Too late he asked for it." Evan said and thus everyone realizing what he was about to do strapped themselves down for the oncoming chaos. Evan then began to speed up a little as he began to tune the radio a bit until Shoot to Three by AC/DC began to play. Once that was done Evan sped up as he made sure to time it for what was to come. This gave everyone a timer to work with and thus quickly made sure they were strapped into their respected seats.
Just then when the singing began Evan sped up further as he made sure to give people a preview of his driving at its finest. Apollo realized what was going to happen and in turn put his shades on and began to grin for what was about to happen here. "Hello welcome to Air Evan please sit back hold on and enjoy the stylish Devil Hunter of Artemis." Evan said and in turn when the major part of the music began the Tri-Breed punched it and started with a nosedive.
In response to the nosedive there were varying yells of yelps and screams. Evan meanwhile was cheering as with Apollo as the young Tri-Breed drove. "THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!" Apollo cried out as the bus rocked down to earth at great speed and was only getting faster.
"PULL UP, PULL UP!" Patty cried out as they got to about a hundred feet to the ground; when it got to seventy Evan suddenly pulled up, narrowly missing the ground and shooting forward at tremendous speed.
"EVAN I AM KICKING YOUR ASS WHEN WE GET TO CAMP!" Thalia shouted out but it only made Evan and the others laugh at her flustered look.
"NOW YOU SEE WHY WE DON'T LET HIM DRIVE!" Calisto cried out as she held on to her seat. She was half tempted to use her Wicked Weave to force Evan to pull up. Evan then pulled up, laughing like a maniac all the way on through.
Some looked out the windows again and now down below the bus was a little snow-covered New England town. At least, it used to be snow-covered. As they watched, the snow melted off the trees and the roofs and the lawns. The white steeple on a church turned brown and started to smolder. Little plumes of smoke, like birthday candles, were popping up all over the town. Trees and rooftops were catching fire.
"Pull up more little nephew." Apollo said as Evan nodded and did just that, swerving to avoid a billboard.
"Stupid billboards, why do they always advertise new aftershave?" Evan asked as he looked back at the billboard he nearly hit.
"Mortals love to smell fresh." Apollo responded to Evan with a shrug. "You should see Paris though, Aphrodite has the time of her life there and it ain't just the sex I'm talking about." Apollo said recounting his own time in the City of Love.
"Okay! TMI!" Kat shouted clearly she did not want to know of her Mom's sex life. No kid wants to know about their parent's sex lives.
Apollo just laughed. "Okay nephew, my shot now." Apollo said as he figured that was enough giving the passengers heart attacks.
"Yeah you are a danger to society on the road!" Calisto called out as she was just about ready to force Evan off the driver's seat herself. During this Percy and Kat sat next to each other worrying about the fate of their missing friends Annabeth and Corvus.
(Later at Camp Half-Blood)
The bus eventually came to a stop at Camp near the big house as in turn Evan shot out with a grin on his face. "That was wild!" Evan called out showing he had the time of his life behind the wheel of the bus.
Then out of nowhere Thalia shot out of the bus as an Evan seeking missile and proceeded to put the Son of Artemis in a headlock for his previous stunt. YOU JERK! I TOLD YOU I WOULD GET YOU FOR THAT STUNT FROM EARLIER!" She shouted at him as Apollo and the other demigods laughed as Thalia dunked his head in snow. The Hunters looked amused at the scene.
Evan didn't fight back and instead was laughing along with everyone else, forgetting the temper Thalia had... "I call next!" Calisto called out as Bianca came out after her fellow Witch.
"I call thirds!" Bianca added as the two witches wanted a piece of Evan for the stunt he had pulled.
(Meanwhile with Annabeth and Corvus)
The two found themselves in a cage as Corvus felt trapped in there. He was chained up forced to only hop around in the cell. "Damn this sucks!" Corvus cried out as he hopped around the cage feeling trapped here.
"I know you stupid bird but we can't bust out without a plan." Annabeth said as she was trying to think up a plan to get them out of this.
"If it includes cutting me loose then plan away if not I say we bust out of here brute force." Corvus said as he really wished Furfur and Fenrir were here to help him out.
Just then the cage opened and from it Luke walked in causing Corvus to glare at the Demigod. "Where is Tyr?" Luke asked as Corvus heard this.
"What he's not with you guys?" Annabeth asked realizing Tyr must be an important ace to the traitor.
"No he hasn't returned yet and seeing as you don't know I guess we don't have much to talk about." Luke said but Annabeth stopped him from leaving.
"Wait Luke what's going on!" Annabeth called out but in turn Luke had only stopped and allowed silence to take over the cell they were in. From the sound of it whatever was going on Artemis had the right idea that war was coming to them.
"Let's just say demonic parties wants to have those eyes." Luke said meaning the Eyes of the World and hearing this Annabeth and Corvus knew they had the advantage with Calisto having the Left Eye. But the question remained what other demonic allies from Inferno has Luke happened to acquire? Only time and battle will reveal the answer to ongoing mystery around the Great Prophesies.
