Alright, after so many emails, a publisher finally emailed me back, and they want to publish my book! Yay!
And they want $5,900 to kickstart the process.
The company is called Dorrance Publishing, and they're one of the oldest publishing companies in America, starting out in 1920. Everything I've been reading on them is that they're not a scam publisher, just really pricey, though that price comes with an entire team of editors, promoters, liaisons, and a personal project coordinator, all of which handles copywrite, production, distribution, marketing, and everything, really.
I've been speaking with my mentors and other persons of authority, and a whole lot of praying for an answer to the question of "go with it or not," and so far, answers are shaping up to be no across the board.
I haven't looked too deep into self-publishing, but one thing I read is that it costs around $2,000, and apparently you can self-publish through Amazon in less than 72 hours.
Thoughts, comments, concerns?
Oh, and Chapter 5 of Chaos War is nearing completion.
