Recap from last chapter: Maya and Sam had a little hang out in her room when Josh came in and caught them. He asked her on a date that same night and within the next few hours everyone found out Auggie was missing.

Lucas: Auggie is missing!

Riley: What!

Maya: What do you mean missing Lucas?

Lucas: I mean missing. Riley your parents were getting popcorn for him and Ava at the carnival, but when they turned around there was only Ava and she said she doesn't know what happened. One minute they were holding hands and the next minute he was gone.

Riley: Are they there looking for him now?

Lucas: That's where I ran from!

Riley: Okay sorry, but I needed to make sure so I can know where to go looking for my brother!

Maya: Okay you both need to calm down. I can't believe I'm the one saying that.

Farkle: Lucas and I will look at the carnival with your parents. You and Maya check your apartment.

Maya: Riley!

(Riley comes running to the back)

Riley: Did you find him?!

Maya: Look.

Riley: Auggie!

Auggie: Riley!

Riley: You had us all worried! Maya can you go call my parents and tell them he's at home.

Maya: Yeah, of course.

(she leaves the room)

Riley: What happened?

Auggie: I felt like I couldn't breathe. I felt like I was going to fall.

Riley: You couldn't breathe?

Auggie: I felt like my head was too big for my head and my hands were shaking like when you're cold.

Riley: Oh Auggie, I think you had a panic attack.

Auggie: A what?

Riley: It's when you panic because of something going on in your life that you're scared about.

Auggie: What was I scared of?

Riley: Probably being around a whole bunch of people without Mom and Dad being by your side holding your hand.

Auggie: I am sorry if I scared you guys. I didn't know what to do.

Riley: It's okay, you're growing up and that takes a lot. I am proud of you, even I wasn't this brave when I was 12. I thought I could go through the world on my own too, but it is way more than you can imagine.

Topanga: OH AUGGIE!

Auggie: Mom!

Topanga: I was so worried oh come here.

(she gives him a big hug and right behind her comes Corey, Lucas and Farkle with hugs as well)

Auggie: I'm not dying guys.

Corey: No son, everyone is just happy to see that you're okay.

Lucas: What happened?

Riley: Guys he had his first panic attack.

Topanga: From what?

Riley: Probably all the people around and you guys not being there to hold his hand. I was the same way when I thought I was ready to grow up. My first time being around a group of people without you guys holding my hand I was terrified. I didn't have a panic attack, but I was panicking.

Auggie: I have never felt that way before.

Corey: Well I think we should all give him some space. Mom and I would be fine with you spending the night in our bed. Riley and them have to get back to college.

Auggie: Okay, I'll miss you Riley.

Riley: I'm always a call away okay? Whatever you need.

(they hug for a good minute and then Riley and her friends get up to leave)

Auggie: I love you!

Riley: To the moon and back.

Maya: So...that was a lot huh?

Riley: Yeah, I can't believe he had a panic attack.

Maya: He's okay though and that's what matters. He went to the place he felt most safe and that's better than him just roaming around in a place he doesn't know.

Riley: I am just so tired and ready to plop in that slightly uncomfortable bed.

(they walk into the dorm and see Josh sitting at the edge of the bed)

Josh: So you stood me up huh?

Maya: Oh my god Josh! No, no I would never.

Riley: It isn't her fault. Auggie had a panic attack and went missing from the Carnival that's what happened.

Josh: Is he okay?

Riley: Yes, now I am going to go shower and you guys can talk.

(she leaves in a hurry)

Josh: That must have been scary.

Maya: It was, very. I am sorry about the date, I would have never stood you up.

Josh: It's okay, I understand.

Maya: Reschedule?

Josh: Tomorrow night, before our schedules both get very busy.

Maya: Would you maybe want to spend the night? If not I understand.

Josh: I guess the floor couldn't be bad for one night.

Maya: I meant in the bed...with me.

Josh: Oh, um, are you sure?

Maya: 100%, but turn around so I can change.

(he turns around and she changes, they both get in the bed and Riley comes back)

Riley: Awe, goodnight you two love birds!

Maya & Josh: Goodnight Riley.

(they turn the lights out and go to sleep)

Hey guys! I know there are a few complaints with the way I'm writing and if you have a problem with that I'm sorry but this is how I like my stories and other people like it too. I understand if you feel like I'm taking away the magic from Joshaya, but it's already written so all I can do now is keep writing how I am.
