Day 1: March 13, 2020

Los Angeles, California

"Ali said we have to meet them there," I announce, grabbing my wallet. Em nods, twirling his keys on his finger.

"Do you think she's getting a little ahead of herself?"

I look up from my phone. The state is going into lockdown, but none of us really knows what that means yet.

"I dunno, man," I say with a shake of my head. "You know Ali, though." We've been dating three years now, and I love Alice to death, but she does have a tendency to overreact to things. She also has an annoying habit of being right, though, so I've long since learned to stop questioning her.

Emmett huffs as he heads out to his SUV. I climb in beside him in the passenger's seat, and he starts up the car. "This will probably all blow over in a couple of days," he predicts. I glance at him and shrug.

"Yeah, who knows," I say quietly.

We drive toward the grocery store Alice has directed us to. We've not been in a while, and if there really is going to be a lockdown of any sort, we need some supplies.

Emmett pulls up in the lot, and immediately I can spot Alice, jumping up and down by her Honda Fit, waving wildly at us. Emmett chuckles at her exuberance and finds a spot nearby. When we climb out of the SUV, Alice is right there, bounding into my arms. "Hey," I say, kissing her. She barely kisses me back before she hands us each a list.

"This is what we need. Bella and Rose are already inside. Divide and conquer," she says, slapping the paper against my chest.

I frown and grab it.

"Ali, this seems kind of overboard," Emmett says, looking over the paper.

I have to agree with him.

Alice huffs. "Just you wait," she says threateningly. "You have no idea how bad it is in there."

Very short update today, but tomorrow we're going to get the shopping nightmare.
