Back again! Before we begin i have to mention... I love constructive criticism! it's helpful! Flames, on the other hand... are not. So if you think my story is crappy, FRIGGIN READ SOMETHING ELSE!!! Ahem... on a better note, i plan to make this my longest chapter to date! Because one thing addressed in a certain reader's comment that wasn't bull crap was how short my chapters are, and i'll work on fixing that. Without further ado... Chapter 3!

Falling, falling, falling, lots of falling, and more falling as Percy nears Tartarus' ground.

Percy aims for a lake and lands safely, but passes out from the pressure of the water, but not before seeing a figure approach.

Apollo gets in an argument with the entire Olympian Council over Perseus' punishment, and drops the bomb on the demigods when they arrive for the awards ceremony.

Chapter 3: New Friends

Percy POV:

Ughhh... where am I? I look around and see... a thatch roof? Wasn't I in Tartarus? Last thing I remember was falling into the river, and... someone... I rise from the cot I had been laying on and look around. Looks like a ordinary hut, but... this wood... I've never seen it before. Across from the cot, there's an open hearth surrounded by log benches.

"What is this place?" I whisper.

"My hut," a voice says behind me.

I whirl around and see the tallest man I've ever laid eyes on. Except... his legs weren't human, and his hair was full of... snakes?

"Who are you?" I ask.

"Name's Polybotes."

"Polybotes? Never heard of you."

"Insolent demigod," he sneers.

He walks over to a pot sitting over the hearth and stirs.

" I'm acquaintances with your father," he tells me, "we go way back."

"Yeah, well he's not a very important person in my life at the moment," I snap.

"Ah yes. Your betrayal! My brothers and I had a party as we watched you fall! Thoon was able to play a record of the event, and boy, did those Olympians screw up! That was the best week I'd had in millennium!"

"Week?" I choke.

"Yes! You were falling for exactly nine days and twenty-three hours! It was glorious hearing you scream."

" You are no fan of the Olympians I take it?" I question.

"You'd have a hard time getting along with those idiots if you were born simply to kill them."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, I was born to be the destroyer of Poseidon, Porphyrion was born to be the destroyer of Zeus, Thoon was born to be the destroyer of the Fates, etc. We were literally born to kill them."

He grabs the pot and chugs down all the stew. "I have enjoyed this conversation, demigod, but I must kill you. You are a hazard to the Pit's population, that's it. Nothing personal!"

He takes his trident off his back. I reach in my pocket for Riptide, but there's nothing. Poseidon must have taken it, that piece of- SLASH! I narrowly dodge the strike and look around for a weapon. I spot a dagger on the wall mounted table near the cot, and reach for it. Polybotes slashes a gash in my arm, causing me to pull my hand back, and he grabs the dagger.

"Not gonna happen, demigod!"

I run outside, hoping to get away, but he backs me into a corner, and I come to terms with my death. What a pitiful life I've had. At least it's over. But the killing blow never comes.

Thalia POV:

"WHAT!" I scream, summoning my spear.

I look at Dad.

"Is it true?" I whisper.

"Yes, Daughter, but he-"

"AHHHH!" I scream in anguish, literally becoming a lightning bolt for a few seconds. "Why, Father? What did he do to deserve this?"

"He murdered Annabeth!" Athena exclaims. "In cold blood, all because she refused to kill Luke!"

"You don't know that!" Apollo accuses.

"What else could have happened, you idiot!" She responds.

"SHUT UP!!!!" I roar with a voice rivaling my father.

"Excuse me?" Athena asks, summoning her spear and Aegis. "You did not just tell the best deity in the universe to shut up! Do you want to join him in Tartarus, you whelp?"

"That would be better than listening to you."

"That's IT! Father, send her to Tartarus this instant!" Athena demands.

"I'm sorry, but I'M the king of the gods AS WELL as the greatest deity ever, not you." Zeus scoffs. "Get out of here, Daughter, before this crazy goddess kills you."

"I will, but mark my words, I am done with the Greek gods." I announce, and storm out.

Percy POV:

I open my eyes and see an axe buried deep in Polybotes head. I can't believe it! He's dead! Who was it with the axe though? Before I can figure that out, Polybotes sweeps my legs out with a kick. How is he still alive? The axe is still lodged in his cranium, but Polybotes doesn't seem to care.

"How are you still alive?" I cry.

"Has your puny camp taught you anything? It takes both a god AND a demigod to kill a gigante, and someone is fresh out of gods!"

He prepares to pierce my heart with his trident when another axe comes out of nowhere and finds its mark in Polybotes' crotch. He squeals and collapses to the ground. A kid with a buzz cut walks out from behind a tree, and rips the axe out of Polybotes' genitalia and his head. He rushes over to me and reaches out his hand to help me up.

"Thanks."

He pulls his AirPods out of his ears. "What?"

"I said thanks."

"Ah, gotcha. No problem. We gotta go before the gigante gets over his pain."

I nod, and he bolts off, and I follow. We walk past many monsters along the way, but they seem to ignore us. Once we are a safe distance away, he slows to a stroll.

"What's your name?" I ask.

"Tyrese."

"No last name?"

"Do you really think it matters?" He questions.

"Kind of?"

"Well, I don't. What's your name?"

I thought for a moment. I could have a fresh life with a new name, and if Tyrese has a problem with that, he can suck my ding dong. He isn't being completely honest anyways. But then again, I've been Percy for 16 years. Hmmmmm. Dilemmas, dilemmas.

" My name is-"
