Chapter 4
(At an abandoned building, Saturday morning)
Naruto and the others with their Digimon, were in an old building that Naruto and Will had found one day. It wasn't being used anymore, and though it looked old it was still standing until the government decided to knock it down.
"So why are we here exactly, whiskers?" Rika asked him, as she and Renamon leaned against a wall.
Naruto gave her a grin, as he said "I was thinking that we could do some training."
"Training? Here?" she then asked him with a raised eyebrow.
Naruto gave a shrug of his shoulders, as he said "Sure, why not? No ones gonna be around here, since it's an old abandoned place. And, I was thinking that it would be a good place to also try and make some combo moves too" he said with a smile, as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Takato gave a slight nod, as he said "Training sounds good. And making a few combo moves sounds sweet, as that would catch any wild Digimon off guard."
"Yeah, we could try and make Flamdramon's Fire Rocket more powerful with some kind of wind-like attack," Kazu said with a wide grin, as he imagined Flamdramon's Fire Rocket being as huge as a Gorillamon with some wind helping make it look that big.
"Our Digimon also need to start getting used to their champion forms" Will said, as she sat on a box with her cat Digimon laid down next to her.
"That way, they will get stronger more quickly," Naruto said with a nod.
"Which should then lead to them digivolving to ultimate level" Henry said, while standing off to one side and Terriermon sitting on his shoulder.
"What about us? Should we focus on regular digivolving, or on DNA digivolving?" Kenta asked.
"DNA. Paildramon is way more powerful" Takato said, as he gave them both a grin along with a thumbs up.
"I'm not familiar with DNA digivolving. Is it really that much better?" Will asked, with a raised eyebrow as she hopped off the box.
"The results of it are at least twice as strong as regular digivolution," Henry said.
"One problem though" Rika said, as she pushed off the wall and walked over.
"Oh, and what's that?" Naruto asked her.
"It requires an ultra rare card to pull it off, and both of these two will need one" Rika said as she gestured at Kenta and Kazu.
"Crap, that is a problem," Naruto said with a frown.
"Oh please, you have crazy luck. If you go to a card shop, and buy a few booster packs, you should get what you need easily" Will said with a smile.
Naruto gave a nod, as his luck was pretty crazy. "What's the card called anyway?" he asked Rika.
"DNA digivolution, duh" Rika said, as she rolled her eyes at him.
"Does it work on all Digimon?" Will asked her, hoping that it did.
"No no, it only works on compatible Digimon. Like those two, when they're in Champion form" Henry said, as he looked at Veemon and Wormmon.
"You two better try and find that card too," Takata said, looking at Will and Naruto's partners.
"Omnimon and Mastemon" Will said, remembering what Naruto showed them on his Digivice.
"Yea, those two are crazy strong," Kazu said with a smile, with Kenta nodding.
"Okay then. After we've done some training, and made up a few combo attacks I'll head off to the shops and buy any booster packs that I spot" Naruto said as he clapped his hands together, before rubbing them together.
"OK, let's get to work maggots!" BlackGatomon yelled at her fellow Digimon, as she stood on a box with her hands on her hips..
"Takatomon, what's a maggot? Is it tasty?" Guilmon asked curiously, as he tilted his head.
Will laughed at this. "He's so cute," she said with a smile, as she handed him a chocolate bar.
Guilmon took it with a smile, and chopped it down in a single bite before licking his lips in delight.
"You lack discipline, dino brain," BlackGatomon said, as she shook her head.
"OK, let's practise getting used to champion level first. Then we'll move on to making a few combo moves" Rika said, as she took out a card. She then swiped it through her Digivice, as she said ["Digi-Modify: Digivolution Activate."]
In a flash, Renamon digivolved into Kyubimon.
The others that could also Digivolve their Digimon to Champion level then did the same, while Kenta and Kazu used their Armour Digivolve cards.
"OK, let's all pair off and spar together," Naruto said, getting nods from the others.
As they got ready to spar, they didn't notice a white devil looking Digimon watching them from the top of the ceiling, as he stood on some rafters.
"Hmmmm, I wonder if any of these humans could help me get stronger," the Digimon thought, as he watched them sparring.
As he watched, he noticed that they were actually developing as teammates too.
"Maybe I should bring some help when I attack them" Icedevimon thought, as even though he was a high ranked champion level Digimon, even he knew fighting 9 champion level Digimon (with Tamers helping them) was asking to be deleted. He silently opened up his wings, and took off to find some other wild Digimon to help him.

(A few hours later)
The group were just finishing up their spar, and they were all pleased with how it went.
"That was great, and I think a few of us already did a few combo moves with our Modify cards too," Naruto said with a grin.
Henry and Takato walked over to a wall that was quite shaded, and bought out some food and drinks.
"Who's hungry?" Takato asked, as he opened up a chilly bag with Henry doing the same with his one.
They pulled out all sorts of food and drink; Takato bought some fresh baked bread that he got from his bakery along with a couple of donuts and slices of cake, while Henry bought some ham and salad and a few different bottles of juice. They both pulled out some plastic plates and glasses to eat and drink from.
They all walked over to a piece of concrete that was big enough to act as a table, and set the food and drink on it before they all grabbed what they wanted and sat down on either boxes, small piles of bricks or just leaned against the walls.
"So, who wants to try and do a few combination moves with the Digimon next?" Naruto asked, as he drank from his plastic glass.
"I'm down for it," Takato said with a nod, as he bit into his sandwich. "It'll be interesting to see what Guilmon's Pyro Sphere combined with Flamedramon's Fire Rocket would look like'' he added as soon as he swallowed his bite.
As they ate, Guilmon's eyes suddenly slitted, and he started to growl and sniff around.
"What's wrong buddy?" Takato asked, as they all watched Guilmon.
"Enemy" Guilmom said, as he ran outside while giving a small growl.
They were all quick to put their plates and glasses down, before they followed after him.
When they got outside, they saw a large group of Vilemon standing about or hovering in the air, and IceDevimon was standing before them with his arms crossed and a smug smirk on his face.
"What do you want?" Kenta yelled at IceDevimon, as he readied his Digivice for any trouble with the others quickly doing the same.
"I want a Tamer, so I can get stronger" IceDevimon said with a slight shrug of his shoulders.
"Pretty bad way to ask, don't you think?" Will asked with a cocked eyebrow.
"Evil Digimon don't use logic," Kazu said with a slight shake of his head.
"So what, there stupid?" Naruto asked with a smirk.
Rika laughed at this, as she kind of agreed with him.
Icedevimon growled at this, and pointed at the Tamers and their partners. "Destroy them!" he yelled at the Vilemon.
"You got it boss" they all shouted, before they leapt at them with a yell.
"I'm glad we digivolved already" Henry said, as Gargomon fired at the evil Digimon with his arm gauntlets.
Some of the Vilemon were hit before turning into data, but the rest avoided the attack.
Some Vilemon flew towards Gatomon and BlackGatomon, before they both quickly slugged the Digimon in the faces, instantly deleting them.
"Weaklings" BlackGatomon said with a scoff, as she dusted her paws off.
"You said it sis" Gatomon said, with a shake of her head.
"Nova Blast!" Greymon yelled, as he blasted a group of Vilemon into dust.
"Howling Blaster!" Garurumon yelled, as he blasted some more
Kyubimon was running towards a group of them, before they all said "Nightmare Shocker" as they fired supersonic waves from their mouths.
Rika quickly scanned a card. ["Digi-Modify: Digi Gromozoid Armor Activate!"] she yelled out.
In a flash of light, Kyubimon's body became metal and the attacks of the Vilemon were reflected back at the enemy Digimon, who all screamed before they were deleted.
"Let's do this Flamedramon!" Kazu said as he pulled a card out.
"You too Bucchiemon" Kenta said, as he pulled a card out too.
Before the two Digimon could attack, Icedevimon was instantly attacking them with his claws.
"Frozen Claw!" IceDevimon yelled with an evil smirk, as he swiped both his claws at the two of them.
This caused both of the Armor Digimon to fall to the floor, and in a flash of light they were back to their Rookie forms.
"Veemon/Wormmon!" Kazu and Kenta both yelled out respectively, as they ran to their partners.
"You really thought that Armor Digimon could stand up to a more experienced Champion level?" IceDevimon asked with a laugh, as he stood over them victoriously.
Before they could react, Guilmon jumped at IceDevimon and bit into his arm, with a look of fury on his face.
"Woah, the newbie has guts," BlackGatomon said with an impressive look.
"Get off me, you mindless fool!" IceDevimon yelled, as he shook his arm to try and shake Guilmon off.
"Grrrrr" Guilmon growled, as he bit down even harder on his arm, actually drawing blood.
Takato instantly pulled a card, as he had an idea. ["Digi-Modify: Metal Claws Activate!"] he said, while swiping the card through his Digivice.
Guilmon's teeth turned to metal, and with a chomp Guilmon took IceDevimon's arm clean off. The arm fell to the ground, before it turned to data with data leaking from where IceDevimon's arm was.
"You will pay for-" IceDevimon was saying in anger, before he got interrupted.
"Vee Headbutt! Veemon yelled, as he slammed his head into IceDevimon's stomach.
"Sticky net!" Wormmon yelled, as he fired a web which stuck the devil Digimon to the ground.
"Guilmon, hit him with your full power!" Takato yelled.
"Pyro Sphere!" Guilmon yelled, as he fired at the bound devil Digimon.
What they didn't notice, was Calumon watching from a tree top and his forehead was glowing.
Suddenly, there was a flash of light and in IceDevimon's place was a new Digimon.
"SkullSatamon!" the new Digimon yelled out.
SkullSatamon looked like a skeleton with bat wings and he had a marking of a bat on his forehead. He also has ribs that have a bat-like shape, and carries a staff with a yellow orb on the top, and a hook at the end of it.
"Oh hell," Naruto said, as the new Digimon got up.
Kazu used his Digivice to scan the new Digimon. "SkullSatamon is an Ultimate Level, and Undead Digimon. He only pursues strength and destruction, and it falls to the Dark Area as a Fallen Angel Digimon with its appearance a ruin of what it once was. However, its wickedness was refined even more, so that its dark powers are unfathomable. Its DigiCore, concentrated with mighty powers of darkness, is the characteristic of Demon-species Digimon called the 'Dark Core.' His attack is Nail Bone, which fires a powerful light from the jewel at the end of its staff, disrupting and obliterating the opponent's data" he said, with everyone gaining looks of worry upon hearing that.
"You three, get back now!" Will yelled at Takato, Kenta and Kazu
"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon yelled, as she jumped at the new Ultimate Digimon and struck him in the face.
She was hoping that would have hurt him a little, but to her shook his head didn't even look like it had moved.
"Not bad kitty, now it's my turn" SkullSatamon said with an evil grin, as he raised his staff.
He spun it over his head a few times, before he brought it down while saying "Skull Hammer" as he aimed the hook end of his staff at her.
["Digi-Modify: Wargreymon's Shield Activate!"] Will yelled, as she scanned her card through her Digivice.
Suddenly, a big shield blocked the attack and bounced the staff away from Gatomon, sending it flying where it landed a few feet away.
SkullSatamon wasn't happy, as he gave Will a glare. "Not bad girlie, but it won't save you for long." He then turned to the Vilemon that hadn't been deleted yet, and yelled "Get them!" as he pointed at the Tamers and their Digimon.
"You got it boss" one of them saluted, before they all ran or flew towards them.
Naruto turned to his Digimon. "Combine your attacks, and take out those Vilemon" he said.
Greymon and Garurumon both nodded, and stood next to each other as blue and orange fire escaped through their closed mouths slightly.
"Nova Blast/Howling Blaster" they both said together, as they fired their attacks at the Vilemon that were charging at them.
The combined attacks engulfed the flock of Vilemon, and left nothing but data behind.
"Worthless weaklings" SkullSatamon growled out, as he picked up his staff.
"Gargo Blaster!" Gargomon yelled, as he opened fire on the evil Digimon.
SkullSatamon spun his staff quickly, blocking the attack as he ran at Gargomon and smacked him in the face, sending him into a tree where he de-digivolved back into Terriermon.
Henry ran over to his Digimon in worry. "You alright?" he asked, as he picked him up.
"Momentai" Terriermon said, with swirls in his eyes as his head bobbed about.
Kazu and Kenta watched this, as they hid like Naruto said.
"We should help them anyway!" Veemon said with a look of determination.
"Yes. An Ultimate might be too much for them" Wormmom said with a nod of agreement.
"Yea, we can't let them fight alone," Kazu said in agreement.
Kenta nodded at this. "Yea, we aren't useless" he said as he gave a small fist pump.
Suddenly, their digivices glowed brightly.
"\Digivolution:\" their Digivices said together, as their Digimon were engulfed in a bright light.
"Veemon digivolve to: ExVeemon!"
"Wormmon digivolve to: Stingmon!"
ExVeemon was a blue humanoid dragon Digimon with a horn on its nose. He had a white chest and jaw, with a V on its chest, along with two lines coming out of the bottom of the V to make it look like an X. He also has a yellow V on his head, three fingers on each hand, three toes on his feet and has small horns in place of knuckles. He also had a blue tail and white wings.
Stingmon was an insectoid Digimon with a humanoid body structure. His body is covered in a green and grey exoskeleton. He also had pincers on his feet, "Spikes" on his forearms, and claw-like fingers on his hands. He also has two insect-like wings on his back and two long antennae on his head.
"Cool!" Kazu and Kenta said at the sametime, as they looked at their Champion Digimon in awe.
Kazu used his Digivice to look up Kenta's Stingmon. "Stingmon is an Insectoid Digimon, Champion Level. It is an extremely unusual Insectoid Digimon, as he possesses a humanoid shape. It possesses nimble movements and the tough exoskeleton characteristic to all Insectoid Digimon. It excels in its abilities as an assassin, aiming at the opponent's vitals by accurately and keenly discerning the way they carry their body, and specializes in attacks that silence the opponent with a single blow. It is highly intelligent due to its extreme composure, and is the owner of a cool disposition. It wields the "Spikes" on both of its arms. His attack Spiking Strike is nothing to sneeze at, as it skewers the opponent with the Spikes on its arms."
Kenta used his Digivice to see what Kazu's ExVeemon could do. "ExVeemon is a Mythical Dragon Digimon, Champion Level. It attained Veemon's natural power and digivolved. ExVeemon is known to be a pure breed of Veedramon, and it's said that the variant species is Veedramon. The attacks it unleashes through its developed arm and leg strength are tremendous, and are known to be powerful enough to destroy a mountain of rock without leaving a trace. It is feared because it possesses such destructive power, but in reality, it has a strong sense of justice, and will not use that power recklessly. And watch out for his Vee-Laser attack, as you don't want to be on the end of that."
"Huh, I was wondering when your Digimon would finally Digivolve," Rika said as she crossed her arms.
"Everyone, attack him together!" Naruto yelled, as he pointed at SkullSatamon.
"So you have two extra Champion Digimon on your team, big whoop" he said with a small laugh. "It won't matter, as I-" before he was interrupted.
He was then kicked in the face by BlackGatomon. "You may be Ultimate level, but you're new to that body" she told him with a grin.
"Yea, you aren't invincible" Gatomon said, as she slugged him in the face before clawing his eyes.
As SkullSatamon grabbed his face in pain, Guilmon ran at him and slammed his body into his legs making him trip and fall to the floor.
"Now!" Naruto yelled, seeing an opening.
"Foxtail Inferno!"
"Vee Laser!"
"Pyro Sphere!"
"Nova Blast!"
"Howling Blaster!"
"Bunny Blast!"
The barrage of attacks struck SkullSatamon from all sides, so he had no defense against this.
"Arrggghhh!" SkullSatamon yelled, as he fell to the floor and fell to pieces as he exploded into data.
"Go ahead and take it Guilmon, as I think you've earned it" Naruto said as he gestured at the data.
Guilmon nodded in thanks, as he absorbed the data into himself.
Upon seeing that there was no more wild Digimon around, all the Champion Digimon turned back into their Rookie forms.
"Hopefully absorbing an Ultimate level Digimon will be what he needs to digivolve," Naruto said to Takato.
"I was wondering why you let the runt absorb him" Rika said with a cocked eyebrow.
"You complaining?" Will asked her curiously.
"Nah, he did good backing us up. I gotta admit though, he has good battle instincts" Rika said as she gave Guilmon a nod, with Renamon doing the same.
"I'm hungry" Guilmon whined, as he held his stomach.
"Though his eating might need some work" Rika then added.
"He's a dino type, they always have big appetites, what do you expect?" Kazu said.
"Good point" Henry said, as he gave a small nod of agreement.
"What do you say we all finish eating, then head on back home?" Naruto asked everyone.
Kenta gave a nod, while saying "I agree, cause that's too much excitement for me today" with the others nodding in agreement.
They all then headed back to where they had lunch, and finished eating before they packed all the rubbish and everything away. Those that could, put their Digimon inside their Digivices so that they could have a nice long rest.
Naruto and Will were about to head off as the others had already gone home, before Rika walked over saying "Wait up you two."
"What is it Rika?" Naruto asked her curiously.
Rika looked down at her feet, feeling nervous about what she was about to ask. She took a breath, then said "My Mum is wanting to invite you to my place for dinner."
Naruto blinked at this as he wasn't expecting this, but he smiled kindly at Rika.
Will gained a mischievous smirk at this. "Oh, does that mean your Mum approves of you dating Naruto then?" she asked, as she leaned in towards Rika slightly.
Rika blushed at hearing Will say that, before shaking her head. "She's wanting to meet him, and I guess see what kind of person he is" she said, as she turned her head a little.
"And am I also invited to this dinner?" Will asked her.
"Do you wanna explain the sharing Naruto thing you bragged about at school?" Rika asked her with a scowl.
Naruto groaned at this, as he smacked his forehead before dragging it down his face. "Really?" he asked, looking at Will with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh grow up, like you would complain if you dated both of us" Will said with a smile at him.
"That's not the point Will," Naruto told her in a slight scolding manner.
"Look Will, I would invite you too. But, I want to avoid any awkward questions from my mom and grandmother" Rika said, as she played about with her fingers.
"On one condition," Will said looking at Rika. "You answer this question; do you like Naruto?" she asked, as she folded her arms in front of her with a smirk.
Rika froze at this, as the question completely caught her off guard.
"Well?" Will asked with a raised eyebrow.
Rika fidgeted with her fingers, trying to not look at Naruto and Will. "Well, I don't hate him," she said while slightly stuttering.
"Do you want to date him?" Will asked, wanting to get to the point.
"W-well, I could do worse" Rika said, trying to act tough as she imagined her and Naruto on dates.
Naruto smiled at this, and approached her and kissed her forehead. "I like you too" he said, as he leaned his forehead against hers and looked her in the eyes.
Rika's face went as red as her hair, but she shook her head and turned to Will. "So. do I pass or what?" she asked her.
Will smiled at her. "Yea, you can date us. And don't worry, you're an equal" she said as she walked over, and gave Rika a kiss on the cheek.
"Good to know. Now come on whiskers" Rika said, as she dragged Naruto off.
"No hanky panky you two!" Will yelled out with a smile.
Rika growled, as she blushed brightly. "Will you go home already?!" she yelled at Will, who laughed and left for home.
Rika sighed as she held her forehead, but froze when Naruto hugged her from behind.
"Relax, she is just messing with you" he said to her, before he kissed her neck. "Unless of course, you do want to fool around a little" he whispered into her ear.
Rika moaned lightly from him kissing her neck. "Damn it" she thought, as she didn't expect to have a weakness like that.
Renamon was watching nearby, far enough away so as not to intrude but close enough in case a wild Digimon appeared.
"You are so cute when you try to be tough," Naruto said with a smile, as they went to his motorcycle and got on, with Rika in the seat behind him. They then put their helmets on, and luckily for Rika Naruto had a spare for her to wear.
Rika hugged him from behind, and pushed her breasts into his back. "Don't underestimate me whiskers, I refuse to lose" she whispered into his ear, as they took off on his motorcycle.
"You wear bindings?" Naruto asked, as he felt something from her.
Rika just buried her face in his shoulder, as she mumbled "Damn growth spurt made me look like a hussy."
"Wow, you're already pretty hot. I can't imagine you being any hotter and hiding it" Naruto said jokingly, as he tried to cheer her up.
Rika hugged him tighter hearing this, as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Keep being sweet, and maybe you will get a look" she said, hoping her attempt at teasing was good as she'd never dated before, so this was all new for her.
Naruto's eyes widened at this, but he brushed it off as they rode down the street.

(Rika's house)
Rumiko and Seiko were getting everything ready, as Seiko was making dinner while Rumiko set the table.
Seiko took a sniff of the beef stew, and dipped her pinky in to see that it was ready and tasted it before she gave a satisfied nod.
"The food is just about ready," Seiko told her daughter.
"Good, I hope they arrive soon," Rumiko said as she finished setting the table, and made sure that everything was perfect.
As Seiko took the pan off the stove, and put the food in a bowl she said "Don't worry honey. I'm sure that they'll be here soon" before she placed the bowl on a hot plate on the table, and then went to get some bread out of the fridge to have with it.
Rumiko gave a small nod, as she said "Yes, I'm sure that you're right Mother."
"Just don't scare the boy off by being hysterical, otherwise Rika would be very upset" Seiko said, as she brought a loaf of bread to the table, and placed it on a breadboard.
Rumiko gave a sigh, as she said "I promise to be on my best behaviour" as she pretended to be a kid, which caused Seiko to give a slight laugh.
Suddenly, they heard the roar of an engine outside.
"That's probably them now," Seiko said, as she walked to the front door with Rumiko not far behind her.
When they got outside, they saw Naruto helping Rika off his motorcycle.
"I'm fine whiskers, you don't have to do that" Rika said.
"I know that, but I want to,'' Naruto said with a smile.
Rika rolled her eyes at this, but smiled lightly at him.
"Oh, aren't you such a gentleman" Seiko said, as she and Rumiko walked over.
Naruto turned to them, and smiled. "Nice to meet you" he said to them with a small bow.
"You're just in time for dinner, I hope you like stew" Seiko told him, as she steered him towards the house while Rumiko and Rika followed them.
"Never had it before, but I'll try almost anything" Naruto said to her, as he and Rika entered the house before removing their shoes.
"It's a pretty common dish. I'm surprised you haven't had it before" Rumiko told him with a raised eyebrow.
Rika snorted at this. "He's much too addicted to ramen so I'm not surprised," she said.
"That's not healthy for you, you have to eat a balanced diet young man" Seiko told him, in a slight scolding manner.
"Don't worry Grandma, he's cutting back" Rika said, as she gave Naruto a piercing look.
"Since when?" Naruto asked her with a raised eyebrow.
"Since now. You're my boyfriend now, and I want you around for a while" Rika said with her arms crossed.
"Boyfriend?!" Rumiko exclaimed in shock.
"Oh? For how long have you been dating my granddaughter?" Seiko asked Naruto, as she gave him a teasing look.
"Well, we became official a half hour ago" Naruto said, as he rubbed the back of his head.
"And she's already telling you what to eat? Wow, you work fast Rika" Seiko said, while slightly nudging Rika in the side with a grin.
Rika blushed lightly, but shook her head. "Well, someone has to keep whiskers here in line" she said, with her arms crossed.
"Awwww, you have a pet name for him already" Rumiko said, as she gave Rika a one armed hug.
"Well, let's go eat so we can get to know your boyfriend better," Seiko said, as they all sat down at the table.
Naruto held out a chair for Rika to sit in, who blushed slightly at the looks her Mum and Grandma were giving her as she sat down, before Naruto then did the same.
As they all sat down and started to eat, they decided to ask Naruto some questions.
"So tell us about yourself. What are your parents like?" Rumiko asked him.
Naruto gained a downcast look, as he said "They were both killed in a mugging when I was very young."
All three ladies at the table had looks of surprise.
"Did they catch those that did it?" Seiko asked him.
"Yea, he's…. locked up" Naruto said, thinking about Kurama.
Kurama frowned in his cage at this.
"Relax, I don't blame you anymore" Naruto thought to him, as he didn't blame Kurama for being under 'Madara's' influence.
Kurama nodded at this, as he laid down to try and get some sleep.
"Look, I'm doing pretty good now. I have a home, I'm in school and I have a pretty good life now" Naruto said with a smile at them.
The three of them gave nods, as Rika asked "Do you have a photo of your parents?"
"Yea here," Naruto said, taking out his wallet and took out a photo of his parents when his Mum was pregnant with him.
Rumiko and Seiko looked over Rika's shoulders at the photo, and saw a blonde man hugging a red haired woman from behind as they smiled at the camera, with the man leaning his head on the woman's shoulder.
"Seems like you and your dad have a type of girl you like," Seiko said, taking notice of his mom's red hair
Rika gave a blush, as she looked off to one side.
Naruto gave a small smile, as he said "Friends of my parents also said that my Mum had quite a temper, and that she was nicknamed 'Red-Hot Blooded Habanero' because of it. The reason being, that she was made fun of because of her hair by some of the other kids when she went to school, and after she beat some of them up they left her alone."
"Ha! That sounds like Rika back in middle school. She beat up some girls for messing with her, because of her hair" Rumiko said with a smile.
"It wasn't that bad" Rika said with a huff at the memory, as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"You slugged that girl so hard in the stomach that she threw up," Seiko said with a shake of her head.
Naruto laughed at this, as Rika grumbled with an angry pout. "So, where's your Dad?" he asked her.
"Rika's Dad -" Seiko was saying, before she was interrupted.
"I don't have a Dad, so drop it" Rika said, with an edge in her voice.
Naruto looked at the other two, who shook their heads slightly at him. He then raised his hands in surrender, as he said "Okay then, I won't pry."
"So, what's your plan after high-school?" Seiko asked, as she changed the subject.
"Well, I considered being a writer," Naruto said, as he rubbed his chin.
"Oh? And what would you write exactly?" Rumiko asked him in interest.
"Uh, not much yet. I haven't thought of anything yet" Naruto said with a slight stutter, as he remembered the only story he ever helped write was Jiraya's Icha Icha Paradise.
"So how do you support yourself now then?" Seiko asked him curiously.
"I got an inheritance from my parents, which I multiplied thanks to the stock market. So don't worry about me" Naruto told them with a grin.
"Well, that answers the next question I had," Rumiko said.
"She was gonna ask if you were dating Rika because of her Mom's money and fame" Seiko told him nonchalantly, as she ate her stew.
"Mom!" Rika yelled, as she gave her Mum a glare.
"Woah, relax Rika it's ok. She's just looking out for you" Naruto said, as he held her hand to comfort her.
Rika instantly calmed down a little, and squeezed his hand in thanks.
Seiko smiled at this, along with Rumiko.
They soon chatted about their lives, and what they planned for the future.
Outside, Renamon was watching through a window and gave a small smile, as she was glad that Rika was finally opening up.

(Later, at Naruto's apartment)
Naruto had just returned to his and Will's apartment, and he saw Will sitting on the couch.
"So, how was it? Did her parents approve of you dating their daughter?" she asked him.
Naruto went and sat down, and told Will everything that happened at Rika's house.
"I'm glad they liked you," Will said with a smile. Her smile then turned into a frown, as she then added "What do you think happened with Rika's Dad though, that caused her to despise him?"
"From what I can guess, I think her Dad just got up and left. And she hates her Dad for it" Naruto said with a slight shrug.
"You think that and her Mum being rich is why she's got this tough girl attitude?" Gatomon asked him.
"Yea, that makes the most sense. She put up a wall, so she can't get hurt by anyone else ever again" Naruto said as he gave a slight nod.
"Well, she won't have to worry about that from us," Will said, as her and Naruto's Digimon nodded in agreement.

(With Hypnos)
Mitsuo Yamaki was playing with his lighter, as he watched some footage of Naruto helping his fellow Tamers train.
"This boy obviously has experience, as he knows what he's doing" Yamaki thought with a frown.
"These kids are actually getting results," one of the two female monitors said, as they watched some footage of the fight with SkullSatamon.
"Yea, they worked together to defeat a very powerful wild one" the other woman said, with an impressed tone.
"How long before Juggernaut is ready and operational?" Yamaki asked, as he snapped his lighter closed.
"A week sir" one of the female monitors told him, as she typed away.
"Good, then a week from now we end this" Yamaki said, as he turned around and walked off.

(Next day, in the park)
The next afternoon, the tamers were all meeting up at Guilmon's house, where he liked to hang out.
"So what's on the agenda today whiskers?" Rika asked, as she was the last to arrive.
"I bought each of us some packs of cards. Hopefully my luck helped me pick out the right packs for you guys," Naruto said, as he passed out some packs of cards to them.
"Sweet," Kazu said with a grin as he took his.
"Yeah, thanks man" Kenta added with a smile.
"We are a team, and we should look out for each other," Naruto said.
"Well said," Henry said with a smile at this.
They all nodded, as they all opened their packs.
"Alright! Digi Egg of Friendship!" Kazu yelled, as he held the card out for the others to see.
Naruto smiled at this, as he knew thanks to the anime that would give Veemon a new form.
He then opened his pack, and saw something surprising.
"You pulled four DNA Digivolve cards?!" Kenta yelled in shock.
"Wow man, you must have the luck of all the leprechauns or something" Takato said.
Will laughed at this, as she looked over Naruto's shoulder. "I'll take that" she said, as she took one for herself.
"Good idea," Naruto said as he turned to Kazu and Kenta. "Here you two," he said as he handed them one each.
"Finally! Now we can DNA into Paildramon" Kenta said with a massive grin.
"What did you get Takato? Anything good?" Henry asked him curiously.
"Digi Egg of Reliability" Takato said as he showed it to them.
"That fits you goggles, especially with how Guilmon helped with the fight yesterday" Rika said with a nod at him.
"And also, it gives us a Digimon that can swim too," Will added.
"You think it will turn Guilmon into a swimmer?" Takato said curiously, with a raised eyebrow.
"If it follows what I saw in the anime, then yea. Hopefully not a submarine though" Will said.
Rika snorted at this and smiled, as she had to agree with Will on this. She opened up her pack, and looked at the cards she had.
"Dark Network?" Will asked with raised eyebrows, as she wasn't familiar with that card.
"That's Eteamon's attack that can De-Digivolve the opponent" Takato said.
"And apparently, that's what this can do. In addition, to buffing my Digimon's strength and defense" Rika said
Henry opened his pack. "Crimson Lightning" he said with a frown.
"Oh cool, that's a good long range attack," Kenta said with a smile.
Terriermon gained a grin at this, as his only long range attack was Bunny Blast.
Will looked at her cards, and saw what she had. "Ninjamon's Stealth?" she asked.
"Let's your partner be invisible" Rika said, as that was very useful for sneak attacks. She then opened her pack, to see if she had anything good.
"Looks like I got SkullMeramon's Flames" she said with a grin.
"I just hope that it doesn't burn my fur when I use it," Renamon said, as she leaned against a tree with her arms crossed.
"You will be fine. Kyubimon is immune to most flames anyway" Rika told her partner with a grin.
Renamon gave a nod, as she had a point.
Kenta took a look inside his pack, to see what he got.
"Digi Egg of Courage" he said, as he showed it to them.
"Huh, I wonder what Wormmon could turn into if you used that?" Kazu asked him.
He gave his friend a shrug in response, as he had no clue.
They were then interrupted by a cry for help.
Naruto looked down the road, and saw Calumon trying to run from what looked like a little Imp Digimon, which was throwing fireballs at Calumon.
"C'mon, I just want to play dodge the fireballs with ya," the Imp Digimon said with a cruel smile on his face.
"No, I don't want to play with you. You're nothing more than a big meanie" Calumon yelled at him, as he ducked his head to avoid being hit by one of the fireballs that almost hit him.
Calumon dodged a fireball, and flew into Rika's arms.
"He singed my ears!" Calumon yelled, as he rubbed his ears a little.
BlackGatomon growled, and pounced on the Imp Digimon. She gave him a menacing stare, which the Digimon didn't like.
"Hey, get off me ya human pet!" the Digimon yelled, as he squirmed while trying to push her off of him.
"Not until you apologize to Calumon," Gatomon said, as she approached with her arms crossed.
"And why should I?" the Imp Digimon asked with a sneer.
"Two reasons," Naruto said. "One; you're a bully and I'm not gonna let you bully my friend here."
"And two, if you don't, I'll let BlackGatomon use you as a scratching post" Will said with a death glare.
"And I do need a new scratching post too," BlackGatomon said with a grin.
"Alright alright, I'll leave the little weakling alone! Just get this crazy cat off of me," the Digimon yelled.
"Hey, I'm not crazy. At least, not according to the voices in my head" BlackGatomon said with a mad grin.
Kazu, Kenta and Takato laughed at this.
"She's kidding, right?" Henry asked Will, slightly worried.
"Yeah, she's just messing with him," Will told him.
"At least, I hope so," Gatomon said with a teasing frown.
BlackGatomon let the Digimon up, and he ran off.
"I won't forget this. Remember the name Impmon, cause someday I'll digivolve and make you all see I'm the strongest!" the little Digimon yelled at them as he shook a fist, before turning around and running off.
"He had a human scent," Guilmon said.
"Really? Him?" Naruto asked surprised, as he couldn't imagine it after seeing his attitude.
"Ahhh, I get it," Will said with a nod. "He ditched his partner, and wants to prove he's strong and doesn't need help to get it."
Naruto frowned at this. "Sasuke" he thought, as he hoped this Digimon didn't sell his soul for power like Sasuke did.
Kazu was using his Digivice to look up Impmon. "Impmon is an Evil Digimon, Rookie Level. It has an appearance just like a demon's child. It loves to pull pranks, so it enjoys seeing the embarrassed appearances of its opponents. Also, it is said that when an Impmon appears, all electrical appliances will temporarily go crazy. So, any electronic image going out of order or ceasing to function might be because Impmon was pulling a prank. Although it is a Digimon that loves to cause mischief and malice, it never toadies to the strong, but it stands up to them with a strong attitude. However, the truth is that it has a lonely side. Watch out for his Bada Boom, as he'll attack you with balls of fire" he said to them.
"He sounds like a mini you, with that attitude," Will said, looking at Naruto with a grin who rolled his eyes at her.
"You think we'll see him again?" Kenta asked.
Naruto gave a nod, as he said "Yeah. For some reason, I think we will."
Will looked at Calumon as he was still in Rika's arms, and asked "You okay now little guy?"
Calumon looked at her with a smile, as he nodded his head. "Yep, thanks to you guys" he said to her. He then looked at them, and asked "What are you all doing?"
"We are hanging out as friends," Rika said, as she looked down at him with a small smile.
"Wanna hang out with us, so Impmon leaves you alone?" Naruto asked, as he walked over and rubbed Calumon's head a little.
"We were about to eat, and I'm sure you will like the food," Takato said with a smile.
"Yay! I'm hungry!" Calumon said in excitement, as he bounced about in joy in Rika's arms.
"Good, welcome to the team," Naruto said with a smile at him.
"Yea, we could use a mascot," Kenta said as he gave a small nod.
"What's that?" Calumon asked curiously, as he tilted his head to one side.
"Think of it as being our friend, and being the cute one of the group" Rika said as she scratched his chin, which made Calumon giggle.
Suddenly they heard a roar, as a massive digital field appeared nearby.
"Oh great. Two days in a row, and we have another Digimon to fight" Kenta grumbled out.
"Lets just hope that this guy isn't as tough as the last one," Kazu said.
"Come on, lets go before anyone gets hurt by it" Naruto said as he ran off, with the others quick to follow him with Rika still carrying Calumon.
When they got into the digital field, they saw a giant looking Digimon.
"It's Devidramon!" Kazu yelled slightly, in a panicked tone as he and Kenta trembled with fear. Calumon was doing the same, and hopped out of Rika's arms and hid behind a stone pillar.
"We need to take him out now. If he gets loose from the field, he could easily wipe out the city" Naruto said.
Guilmon growled, as Devidramon towered over him and roared at him challenging him.
Devidramon looked down at Guilmon, and roared in a laughing manner as he backhanded Guilmon hard into a building's wall.
"Guilmon!" Takato yelled, as he ran to his partner worried about him.
Guilmon got up and glared at Devidramon, as he started to glow along with Takato's Digivice while Calumon's forehead was doing the same thing.
"Finally" Naruto said with a smile.
"\Digivolution\" Takato's Digivice said.
Guilmon started to change, as a dome of red data covered him.
"Guilmon Digivolve to Growlmon!"
"Woah, he's a big boy now" Will said, impressed with the size of Growlmon.
Devidramon roared at Growlmon, who roared back as he charged him.
"Great, we have a Kaiju situation going on now" Will said as they all ran for cover.
Growlmon was biting on Devidramon's neck, as he held his face away from him and started to pry his mouth open.
When Devidramon's mouth was open wide enough, Growlmon said "Pyro Blaster" and fired his attack into Devidramon's mouth.
The attack burned through Devidramon's body, and destroyed his body into bits of data.
Growlmon held up Devidramon's head, and roared in victory as his head turned to data which he soon absorbed.
"Jeez, where did he learn to be so brutal?" Rika said with wide eyes.
"Takatomon showed me a movie, with a big lizard fighting a big monster," Growlmon said, as he looked at them.
"You showed him a Godzilla film?" Henry asked Takato in shock.
"What? I thought it would teach him to be a tough guy" Takato said, as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Well it obviously worked," Gatomon said.
"All hail the king," Terriermon yelled with a laugh, as he jumped off Henry's shoulder and bowed to Growlmon a few times.
Henry shook his head at his Digimon partners antics, with a small smile on his face.
"Glad to have you on the team Growlmon," Will said while giving him a thumbs up.
"Happy to help," Growlmon said with a fanged grin. He then sniffed a few times, before saying "Can we get something to eat now, cause I'm hungry" he said to them, as he rubbed his stomach a little as it gave a loud rumbling sound.
This caused Naruto to laugh. "Glad to see you're still yourself Growlmon," he said with a grin.
"At least now we are all at Champion level," Will said with a smile, glad that all their training had paid off in the end.
"We still should try to get stronger, that way we don't get blindsided by a stronger opponent" Rika said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Henry gave a nod of agreement, as he rubbed his chin. "I agree, as the old saying goes 'there's always gonna be someone stronger out there then you' or something like that" he said.
"Plus, up to this point we have only fought newbie Ultimates. Just imagine what a compatintent Ultimate level could do," Kazu said with a slight shiver.
"Or worse, a Mega" Kenta said with a look of worry, as he too shivered.
"If you face a Mega, you flee" Naruto said with a hard tone, as he gave them a piercing look.
This surprised everyone but Will, as they had never seen Naruto like this.
"Relax. He just doesn't want you guys getting hurt, by facing something you have no chance of beating" Will said to them, as this made them more calm.
"Then we better get stronger then, right Takatomon?" Growlmon asked, with a tilt of his head.
This made Takato give a firm nod of agreement, as he said "Yeah you got that right boy."
"Good attitude," Naruto said, glad that Takato and his partner weren't gonna just let this victory go to their heads.
"So how often should we meet up for training, and where? The same place as last time?" Rika asked curiously, with a raised eyebrow.
Naruto thought about this, and looked at his friends. "Going forward, we are gonna need a private training ground," he said.
Will nodded at this. "Yea. Going forward we will need that, if we don't want the wrong kind of attention on us" she said in agreement.
"And how exactly are we gonna find a private training ground? It's not like we can buy one" Takato said with a frown.
Will and Rika looked at Naruto, each with a knowing look.
"Leave it to me guys. For now, let's all go get some food and it's on me" Naruto said with a smile.
This made them all cheer, with Growlmon cheering the loudest.
Henry then realised something, as he said "Shouldn't we wait for the Digimon to turn back into Rookies, or for them to hide somewhere while we get the food?"
Naruto threw a card to Takato, which he caught. "De-Digivolve?" he read on the card.
"Helps turn your Digimon back into the level it was in earlier" Naruto said with a shrug.
Takato scanned the card, and in a flash of light Growlmon turned back into Guilmon. He then handed the card to Henry, Kazu, Kenta, Rika and Naruto, who used it on their own Digimon to turn them back into Rookies.
As they all left, Naruto noticed Yamaki and his men watching next to some black vans.
Naruto smirked, and waved at them cheekily.
Yamaki flipped his lighter closed, and scowled. "Laugh now, but soon this will all end" he thought.
