Well, the cabin was short lived. I fell asleep while standing watch and woke up just in the nick of time to a group of mamano showing up outside. They were probably told about where we were by that mystery person which Diamonds said he saw. We got up, grabbed our gear, and fought our way out after sneaking out of a window that wasn't covered by the mamano. We ran through the woods while everyone but me was shooting at them, I was more focused on not tripping on branches and roots on the ground which was causing my friends and the mamano to stumble around throughout the chase, and after some time we managed to lose them after we split up in different directions and regrouped sometime later.

I found clubs about 5 minutes after we split up and between 5-10 minutes after that we found Hearts and Diamonds hiding in a tree. Hearts was covered in blood, and when I asked him what happened he said he snuck up behind a soldier and cut their throat only for her to turn around which sprayed blood on him before she died. After we regrouped we crouch walked away for about 20-30 minutes before we stopped and got into a heated argument.

Hearts was pissed at me for falling asleep while on guard duty and was berating me for almost getting us captured, and for not shooting at the mamano during the chase. Clubs stepped in to defend me and basically told Hearts that I was the youngest of the group and that I would be prone to messing up sometimes. Eventually, it turned into an argument about how I volunteered to be the security and that I should be acting older since the world we live in is different now. During this Diamonds was trying to calm everyone down and get us moving so we can find a place to set up camp and also so we don't attract unwanted attention. We must've argued for about 10 minutes before Hearts calmed down and everyone started to come to a conclusion about the whole thing.

Hearts told me that I am young and will make mistakes, but I need to be more mature and try to put more effort into things. He also said that I have to start being more of a fighter since instead of fighting after we escaped, I just full-on ran. Hearts told Clubs he was sorry for being a bit over the top with things, and Clubs forgave him. Diamonds was happy we could get a move on so we won't attract any mamano, and it also meant that he didn't have to see his friends fighting. We walked for some time, I'm not sure how long, I wasn't paying attention, until we came across this field where we set up camp.

There were a lot of trees around us obscuring the view, and in the distance, I thought I could see some sort of building. About 30 yards from us are those giant mushrooms that are as tall as trees, and they seemed to make a mushroom forest of sorts. After we set up camp, I talked with diamonds. I asked what his thoughts were on the situation we're in and he told me that the world we are in is pretty damn weird and how he feels like shit that we lost the militia and we have no plan of escape. I asked what his thoughts were on Clubs and he said that Clubs seems like an alright guy who respects people who care about him. I asked Diamonds about what his thoughts were on Hearts and he said that he was a good leader who may be an asshole sometimes, but Hearts will do his best to make sure we all escape safely.

I asked him about his life and he said that it was pretty average. He moved a couple of times in his life and spent most of his life in a small town where he was helping out the community. On September 12th, he said that he was at a store buying a drink when shit went down and the mamano started taking over towns and shit. He was able to get to his house without getting caught, but when he got there he saw his family being captured and he couldn't save them. He told me that he will not make the same mistake again and will step in to save us no matter what. He spent a few days wandering alone before he met Hearts while he was looting a gas station. They travelled together until the end of September before they found our militia and joined them. Sometime after that, they met Clubs and he joined the group, then they met me and I joined the group. He said that that was about it for things that had happened to him. We talked for a long time about things that aren't really worth writing in this. The sun is setting now and I have nothing to do, so later.
