Eleena rushed to Bruce Banner's laboratory to see all of the Avengers there, talking to Bruce.

"What I wanna know is why are you building weapons of mass destruction?" Bruce asked Fury.

Fury sighed. "Because of him." He pointed to Thor.

Eleena stepped up to stand beside him.

Thor frowned. "Me?"

"Last year, Earth had a visitor from another planet, who had a grudge match that levelled a small town."

Eleena reached out and gripped Thor's sleeve, memories flooded back to her like a tsunami. The wave of regret over not being able to get through to Loki when he decided to attack Thor on Earth, and being too late to stop his assault on Jotunheim ripped through her.

Thor placed his hand over hers as a way of comfort.

"Not only did we learn that we're not alone, but we are hopelessly... hilariously outgunned."

"By people who want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor stated.

"But you're not the only people out there, are you? I can tell that she is different to you and Loki." Fury pointed towards Eleena. "You said yourself, if she turned against us, we would lose."

Eleena blinked out of her daze. "I wish you no harm."

"The point is, the world is filling up with people that can't be matched, they can't be controlled."

"Like you controlled the Cube?" Steve raised a brow.

"Your work with the tesseract is what brought Loki and his allies here." Thor said.

"It's a signal to all the realms, that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war." Eleena piped up.

"A higher form?"

"You forced our hand."

"We did nothing of the sort!" Eleena argued.

"We had to come up with something..."

"A nuclear deterrent." Tony interrupted. "Because that always calms everything right down."

"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?" Fury countered.

"I'm sure that if he still made weapons, Stark will be neck deep-"

"Hold on. How is this now about me?" Tony stepped forward.

"Isn't everything?" Steve folded his arms.

"I thought humans were more evolved than this..." Thor snorted.

"Excuse me? Do we come to your planet and blow stuff up?"

Everyone started arguing amongst themselves.

Eleena stepped in front of Thor. "Stop fighting, this is exactly what Loki wants..."

"And you would know all about what Reindeer Games wants." Tony smirked.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"You and he had a thing going on, right, Elsa?"

She frowned. "Elsa?"

"I'm sure you know all the right buttons to press."

Eleena's eyes glowed.

"Do not speak to Eleena in that manner!" Thor snapped.

Tony laughed. "Whatcha gonna do, Point Break? Use your sparkle fingers?"

Eleena exhaled, calming herself down. "What I am trying to say is; he wants this... for you guys to fight... to go against each other. So, all he has to do is deal the final blow." She met Tony's gaze. "Loki is the god of mischief and games and you're playing right into his hands."

Bruce started to get noticeably agitated.

Eleena looked to Natasha. "Him losing his temper a bad thing, right?" She whispered.

Natasha nodded.

"You need to step back." Fury told Bruce.

"Why shouldn't he blow off some steam?"

"For someone renowned for being smart... you are extremely stupid." Eleena growled at Tony.

"Why am I getting lip from some sixteen-year-old Elsa?" He looked around.

"I'm not sixteen-years-old..." She frowned, confused once again by his reference.

"Do all gods not age?" Natasha asked.

Eleena shrugged.

Tony and Steve began to lock horns.

"Put on the suit, lets go a few rounds." Steve challenged.

Thor chuckled. "You people are so petty... and tiny."

Eleena grabbed his arm. "Thor, you are not helping." She growled.

"This is a team, huh?"

"Agent Romanoff would you please escort Dr. Banner to his-"

"Where? You already rented out my room." Bruce raised his brows.

Eleena looked between Fury and Banner.

"It was just in case..."

"You needed to kill me... well... you can't. I already tried."

Everyone stopped fighting to look at him.

"I got low, I didn't see an end. So I put a bullet in my mouth... and the other guy spit it back out."

Thor and Eleena shared a look.

Thor clenched his fists remembering how Eleena wanted to end it all not long after Loki fell into the abyss.

"You wanna know my secret? You wanna know how I stay calm?"

Fury and Natasha reached for their guns instinctively as Bruce raised his voice.

Eleena stepped forward. "Doctor..."

Bruce looked to her.

"Put down the pointy stick."

He frowned and looked down to see that he had picked up Loki's sceptre.

Suddenly beeping could be heard from the computers.

"Sorry kids you don't get to see my party trick after all." Bruce dropped the sceptre.

Eleena exhaled.

"You've located the tesseract?"

"I can get there faster." Stark went to get his suit."

"The tesseract belongs on Asgard." Thor stated.

"No human is a match for it." Eleena added.

Steve caught Tony by the arm. "You're not going alone!"

"Who said?"

Eleena sighed. "Here you go again! Stop bickering." She then felt something within her. "Everyone... take cover!"

They all looked to her before a massive explosion ripped through the ship, blasting everyone in different directions.

Eleena landed on the floor below.

When she opened her eyes she felt sharp pains in her shoulder. "Ouch..." She shifted the debris from her legs with her other hand and sat up. She looked at her shoulder, noticing that it was clearly not where it was supposed to be.

She heard crashing, shooting and an almighty roar. She stood up, supporting her arm.

"Eleena?"

She looked around to see Agent Coulson running towards her. "Sir!" Her eyes lit up.

"Are you alright?" He asked, before looking at her arm that was hanging weird.

"I will be, once you put my shoulder back in?" She stepped up to him.

He nodded. "Even for a god, this will hurt a lot."

She looked away. "Just do it, the longer I stand here, the more people will get hurt."

He stared at her in wonder. "Okay." He took her arm. "One... two...-"

Loki was grinning, pacing his cell until he heard a heart shattering scream amongst the chaos. He froze. "You are here... Milady..." The real Loki felt warmth wash over him at the thought, before a spark of anger at the fact that Eleena could be seriously hurt.

"I can feel your heart longing... betray me and I will make you watch her die... by your own hand."

Loki closed his eyes tightly. "Don't worry... everything will go according to plan."

The voice in his head chuckled.

"There. I am sorry, but I did warn you." Coulson held Eleena by her uninjured arm.

She nodded, gritting her teeth, focusing her body heat to her shoulder. "It's okay, I'll be okay." She took his hand and gave it a squeeze. "Thank you, Sir." She let go and manoeuvred around the debris. "We need to get to the bridge."

Coulson nodded and followed her.

They fought their way through rogue agents.

"They must be under the same spell as your agent and Thor's professor friend." Eleena said, punching another, knocking him out cold.

They got to the bridge.

Coulson stopped, listening to the device in his ear. "Loki's cell has been opened." He muttered.

Eleena stared at him. "This was his plan. Use the Hulk as a distraction... a means to escape in hopes that he will tear this ship apart..."

"I'll go. You stay and clear the bridge." He patted her shoulder.

Eleena nodded. "Be careful. I don't know how far he'll go with this new... darkness within him."

Eleena did her best to help, holding back her true power.

Then she heard it.

Thor's scream.

She let out a growl and headed towards where Loki was held. As she approached the door way, she saw Thor in Loki's cell... before it was dropped. "No!" She sprinted forward and looked over the railings. "Thor!"

"Elee...na... you... shouldn't..."

She looked around to see Agent Coulson sitting, gravely wounded. "No, no no!" She knelt beside him. "Stay with me, Sir."

"You shouldn't... have come..." Coulson looked over her shoulder.

"Eleena..."

She glared over her shoulder at her childhood friend. "What is wrong with you?!" She stood up.

Loki's eyes flashed between green and blue.

"Who has a hold of you?" She stepped towards him.

"I..." He closed his eyes tightly.

"Go..." Coulson whispered.

Eleena looked back to him.

"Go and find... Thor..."

She nodded.

"You always choose him..." Loki growled. "Everyone chooses him..."

"You're an idiot Loki... why do you think that I am here?!" She walked to the railings and looked down the shoot, through which Thor had fell. "Do you have any idea of the pain you've put me through?" Her voice cracked.

Loki fought the urge to reach out towards her. I can't let her get to me...

Eleena felt her body heat rise as her Asgardian armour magically formed around her.

"You think that you can save me..? Not this time..." Loki stepped towards her, readying his staff to strike.

Boom!

Eleena looked back to see Loki flying backwards.

"So, that's what that does..." Coulson breathed, holding a giant gun.

Eleena gave a sad smile. "Thank you, for everything, Sir." She saluted and jumped down the shoot.

Loki sat inside the aircraft gathering his thoughts. "I almost..." His hands shook.

"You see... you have no control any more. If you want her to survive... do not let me down."

Loki gritted his teeth.

Eleena landed in a field of wildflowers. She stared at the sky, watching one of the S.H.I.E.L.D aircraft heading West. She looked around, casting her senses.

She could feel the crackle of Thor's power close by, so she started walking. "Thor?!" She called.

She walked for a while until she came across Mjölnir, Thor's hammer. She sighed and picked it up.

"Eleena?"

She turned around. "You dropped something." She held the hammer up, walking to meet Thor. "So, you escaped then?"

Thor wasn't at all phased by the fact that she could lift his mighty hammer, after all she was of noble and pure heart by nature. "Yeah, it took some effort, these Midgardians are smart, I'll give them that." He took it from her.

"I just saw Loki head West of here, we need to catch up and regroup with the others." She stated.

Thor took in her face. "He knows that you are here..."

She looked to the ground. "I'm sorry, Thor. I saw you fall and rushed to follow you. I didn't even think about it. He... he killed... Agent Coulson..." She sniffed, feeling tears begin to fall once more. "Loki... did that..." She covered her face.

Thor felt a mixture of rage and deep sadness watching the strongest woman that he had ever met, fall apart in front of him. He reached out and wrapped his arms around her tightly.

"Why does it hurt so much?" She sobbed.

He sighed. "You're in love with my brother for whatever reason."

Eleena had given up on correcting him. She pulled away. "He was standing right in front of me... speaking to me... but... Loki is gone, isn't he?"

Thor shook his head. "You can't think like that! You are the one that believed that, through everything and all the things that he has done, that he isn't the monster the other's think that he is." Put his hands on her shoulders, making her look at him. "My dear sister, Eleena. You always have been his light in the darkness. I believe that if anyone, it will be you that will bring him back."

She felt her emotions calm as she looked into his cool eyes. "If that's the case..." She dried her eyes. "We need to go after him. I believe that our new comrades will need our support."

He put an arm around her. "I shall get us there, you need all your strength." He summoned his lightning.

Eleena nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Thank you, Thor." She whispered. "You always help me when I need it most."
