I own nothing you may recognize
A week later Highgarden
"Who stands at the Gates of the Castle of Highgarden?" A voice from within the castle called out.
"The forces of the King of Westeros, King Aegon Targaryen first of his name, surrender and kneel or have your castle burned to dust, by the same dragons who burned the forces of the Reach and Westerlands a week past," Jaehaerys said getting off of Brynnais.
"Of course, forgive me for not recognizing the forces of the King of Westeros," The voice said as he ordered the gates open to welcome in the forces.
"What is your name?" Aegon asked after entering the Castle and saw one man leading the forces within.
"I am Harlen Tyrell, High Stewart of Castle Highgarden, your grace" The man said kneeling before Aegon.
"Well met, High Stewart Tyrell, sisters, is it just me or does something seem off about that name?" Aegon asked looking to his sisters with a smile.
"You know, I quite agree, I think Lord Tyrell sounds more appropriate," Rhaenys said understanding what her brother was meaning.
"I quite agree with you queen Rhaenys, Lord Tyrell sounds much better than High Stewart Tyrell," Visenya said with a grin.
"Cousin, your thoughts?" Aegon asked looking at Jaehaerys.
"I agree with Queens Visenya and Rhaenys, my King, especially since there are no Gardeners remaining, save the daughter who I believe is betrothed to the High Stewart's eldest son Theo, though they are both children," Jaehaerys said, repeating information they had gathered while traveling to the castle.
"Very well, High Stewart, as King of Westeros, I name you Lord Harlen Tyrell first of your name, Lord Paramount of the Reach and Warden of the South, do you accept, on the conditions you and your family will never betray the House of Targaryen," Aegon said looking to the man who was still kneeling before him.
"I do, my king, but other house will likely lay claim upon Highgarden, due to their decent from Garth Greenhand," Harlen said cautiously.
"Well, I have named you Lord of Highgarden, and if they begin a rebellion, I will put it down like I did with those who thought they could beat me in the field, under the direction of King Mern IX Gardner," Aegon said simply.
"Then I shall do my best to serve you as long as I live and raise my children to never betray the House of the Dragon," Harlen said more confidently now.
"Good, by means of passing on information, the House of Hoare is no more, and the Lord of the Rivers is Lord Edmyn Tully, King Durrandon too has fallen, and the Lord of the Storms is my half-brother Lord Orys Baratheon. King Lannister died with King Gardner, but he left his young son at Lannisport who has since bowed the knee and is the new Lord Lannister," Aegon said before Jaehaerys spoke to give a bit of a report from his side.
"The Ironborn as cowed, and under the leadership of Lord Vickon Greyjoy, you will not need worry about them this generation," Jaehaerys said before a rider came galloping into the castle.
"King Aegon, King Torrhen Stark and a force of 30,000 men have crossed the Neck, with plans to end the Dragon threat to Westeros," The rider said breathlessly.
"Well, it seems we will be taking care of the Northern threat before we crush Oldtown, and the Arbor," Aegon said simply.
"Cousin, I will send word to Alton to bring our fleet along with whatever fleet the House of Lannister can spare to crush the Arbor from the sea, if Lord Tyrell can gather a force to crush them from the land," Jaehaerys said hoping not to waste too much more time.
"Lord Tyrell will you accept your first task as Lord of the Reach?" Aegon asked looking to Harlen.
"It would be my honor, and once we have brought the Arbor to heel, we will come and join your forces against the men of the North," Harlen said respectfully.
"Very good, may the 14 guard your path," Aegon said kindly.
"14? Do you not mean seven?" Harlen asked cautiously.
"No, I mean 14, why would it just be seven?" Aegon asked turning back to look at Harlen.
"Um, I don't know any 14 gods, your grace," Harlen said simply.
"Jaehaerys you are likely the most read of us four, what does he mean seven?" Visenya asked kindly.
"The men of the Andals, when they fled the earliest Dragon Lords chose to abandon the Worship of the 14 and chose instead to begin worshipping one god with 7 personalities, The Father, The Mother, The Warrior, The Smith, The Maiden, The Crone, and The Stranger. Thus, the seven are the dominant worship here in Westeros, with the other main worship is the old gods in the north, the religion of the Rhoynar in Dorne, though many in Dorne also worship the 14, and the drowned god of the Ironborn," Jaehaerys said respectfully.
"Ah, I see, very well then, may your seven be with you Harlen, and the 14 be with us," Aegon said understanding what his cousin had said, before returning to Balerion and leading the forces to begin moving to crush the Northern army, which he was aware outnumbered his forces ten to one.
AN: Please do not think in anyway after reading this chapter that Aegon and his queens are uneducated, they just have been more focused on war then on learning about.
