Bonnie sat comfortably in her seat as her eyes were glued onto a book she had placed in her lap. Bonnie decided to occupy herself after Damon's continuos nagging about his loss in their chess match earlier. It was funny to her at first but then he started to overdo it. Likely on purpose in order to mess with her.

"He likes her, duh." She muttered to herself.

Damon was in his seat possibly annoyed more than he's ever been. He looked at her from the corner of his eye, desperately wishing this would end soon.

"Get it over with." She muttered again.

"Could you stop doing that?" Damon requested with a hint of annoyance in his tone.

Bonnie furrowed her brows. She hadn't done anything, she thought at least.

"Doing what?" She asked.

"Talking to yourself." Damon answered.

Her face contorted. "What are you talking about?"

Damon rolled his eyes. "You keep mumbling to yourself about that stupid book of yours."

Her face softened. She hadn't realized that she was voicing out her thoughts.

"Sorry, I didn't notice." She apologized then continued. "And this book isn't stupid, f.y.i."

She glared at him.

He shrugged in response. "It's about love. That says it all."

She abruptly shut the book. "No it does not. This is a really good book. You should read it, you might like it."

"No thanks. I already know how bad it is." He grinned.

Bonnie scoffed. "You haven't even read it and you're judging it just because it's about love?" She raised a brow.

"Of course." He said.

She turned her attention back to the book, completely done with him. Again.

She took a good look at him again but there was a cheeky grin on his face.

"Okay, let's call for a truce." She said annoyed.

Damon stared. "A truce? You and me?"

Bonnie sighed, "Caroline wanted us to get away from Mystic Falls, to leave behind our troubles. That also means leaving behind your 'Typical Damon' self."

"But I am Typical Damon. How can I not be Typical Damon?" He furrowed his brows hinting that he was confused.

"No, you're just stubborn and choose to be Typical Damon. So for now just be Damon without the other parts." She stated.

Damon's face contorted. "That doesn't make any sense."

Bonnie's face went blank. "Be you, but without the snarky comments and the smart ass responses. Be like Stefan."

Damon put up a hand. "Now you're asking for way too much. My brother?"

Bonnie rolled her eyes. "Just do it."

"Okay I have one condition." He smirked.

Bonnie narrowed her eyes. "What is it?"

"You have to drink with me." He expressed almost as if it was a dare.

She honestly expected something worse than that.

"Drink, with you?" She looked at him in disbelief.

"I don't particularly have any interest in drinking with anyone on this trip. You're an exception." He wiggled his brows.

She ignored it. "Not even Matt?" She suggested.

"Look, I have standards. If Alaric was here, it'd be him. And he's not. So that leaves you." He grinned.

"I can't make any promises. I barely drink." She warned.

Damon didn't care. Her company would be enough to satisfy him.

"Do we have a deal?" Damon reached out his hand with an inviting grin.

Bonnie shrugged and reached out a hand. "Sure. We have a deal."

Damon was pleased. The two shook hands and sealed the deal.

"That's progress." Stefan thought to himself.
