But even so–there's never a happy end to everything; a hero could mourn for the dead all he wished, a boy could live a happy life in prosperity.
There weren't merely two options, thousands were displayed; even millions possibly, so why couldn't he make a decision?
Millions of decisions, yet, Subaru couldn't decide–should he stay? Should he go? Trapped in what would be called conflicted thoughts.
But as he stood there, Satella's glistening amethyst eyes could only hope to seek for more; she had his love but it wasn't enough–his heart, his dying passion.
The vows of this world constricted them. Ripped them apart; as if they weren't meant to be.
There wasn't a way to cope with this; but simply it was a mere step over that of the infinite, right?
She started to feel lonely; his attention was drawn upon that of his own thoughts but she simply wanted to remove him from that tedious issue.
"S-Subaru!" struggling to voice out her words, breathing in, "L-love me!" her blush corresponded with that of a red apple; prime and ready-she didn't let up, wanting him. Even now; having him to herself, it wasn't simply enough, there was more!! More her heart wanted, more. And more, it was endless to what she felt for him.
But… With that sentence alone, Subaru froze up, in shyness, wrapping his hands around his face as it kept him safe from the world or so it seemed.
"Sa–"
…
The cold inclusive downpour; the rain pitied the fair well boy. Merely despite this, an eerie emotion built up as he laid upon that of the ground, mud. And other sorts scattered around his flesh.
"What?" finding himself in a forest? Big and wide but to what extent? What halted him from reaching the one he loved–more than love, cherished; the highest form of love.
As he spoke; lungs seemingly dispersed, breathing stopped. Shattered into that of many pieces, laid there a being of high hopes. And non-existent happiness, fragile to one's meaningless words, lungs, they existed but to what extent? To breathe? To sit there idle.
But even a dream has an ending; as he laid there, in the hollow grievance known as the "forest" but there wasn't a name for it, only the misinterpretation of a forest. The world was that of a shell. Filled with life. Hope, and others.
But as he laid there overtime; his imminent dispersion could only await–the overly scrutinizing truth behind it.
Frightened him–sent fear into him, but this was a choice. A choice that could lead to desolations of waste–For if he couldn't hope to arise once more, then that of the world's sanity would collapse.
"So–I see now, the truth behind the world, the pain that follows, the hope that collapses between the thin line that holds it up, I was foolish. If only, I were faster? No, if I was stronger…" As Subaru pressed on; the pity that followed could only behold a bite.
A poisonous bite that hindered. And widened his flesh. Bones and lungs, the mere presence of it…
