The team watched as Andy walked into the station with a big smile on her face. She had been all giddy all week. The rest of A-shift thought it to be weird seeing that she was on edge everyday for the last two months. But clearly this week was different.

"Do you guys think she is bi-polar or something?" Jack whispered as they all walked into the beanery.

"Jack," Vic said, nudging him, "that's not funny," shaking her head, he knew she was serious despite the small smile that graced her lips.

"I know, I know, but come one up until 3 days ago, she had the shortest fuse,"

"Who had the shortest fuse?" Andy asked walking over to the coffee pot

Everyone let out a collective, "no one," except Travis who let out a confident, "you" causing everyone to look at him wide-eyed.

"Montgomery!" Dean yelled

"Well, I can't help it if I'm in a good mood this week," Andy said, stirring the creamer into her coffee.

"And this new good mood wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that you asked for half the shift off now would it?" Maya asked looking at her friend over her cup of coffee

"Nope," she replied, popping the 'p'

"Oh come on Herrera, tell us all the juicy details of your personal life. It can't be a significant other because he's a ways away...unless you are being unfaithful." Vic said, wiggling her eyebrows to show that she was joking. This got a stern, 'are you serious' look out of Andy as she took a seat.

"Is it your mom again?" Travis asked cautiously.

"No it's not my mom, thank God. And I'm not cheating on my boyfriend, Vic. He actually isn't that far away anymore. He is currently on a plane that is about to land in New York in about an hour. And then he will be on a plane to Seattle at 10 o'clock, and then he will be here, which is why I will be leaving extra early to go pick him up." she replied trying to stop the smile from growing, because her cheeks were beginning to hurt.

"Oh, over here is so happy because she is about to get laid for the first time in over a year. Why didn't you just say that," Vic joked. Andy just rolled her eyes because before she could respond the alarm went off calling them to a fire.

He trudged through the New York airport carrying his military issued duffle bag on his shoulder. He was beyond exhausted. Before catching his first flight he had been fighting an actual war for about 48 hours straight and the very little sleep he was getting on the plane was disrupted by the occasional scream from a baby, or the shake of the child behind him kicking his seat like it stole its candy. He stopped to get some coffee from this place called Dunkin Donuts. He had never heard of it, probably because he lived on the west coast and for the better have of the last 3 years he was in some remote country, the name of which he still wasn't able to disclose. But he bought the coffee anyway.

Every now and then he would get stopped by people thanking him for his service, to which he would just reply with a simple smile or a slight nod. Now he remembered why he hated traveling in uniform so much. Even after being in the marines for so long he still didn't know how to reply to that. Are you supposed to say 'you're welcome'? It's not like he was doing anything for them personally so 'you're welcome' didn't seem like a fitting response. So he just left it at the smile or the nod.

Occasionally a child would come up to him and ask him questions. One little boy in particular was asking him all sorts of questions. He was touching all the pins and medals on his uniform, even asking if he could try on his hat, to which Robert replied by taking his hat off and placing it on the little boy's head. He even knelt next to him to smile for the picture the child's mother was taking. And after being stopped a few more times and getting saluted at he finally made it to his gate.

Finally able to relax Robert sunk down into his seat, taking his hat off and rubbing his bald head. God he could just fall asleep right here and now. And he did just that, he put his hat back on pulling it down a little to block some of the light from his eyes and began drifting off. He was almost asleep when he heard a loudBoom which sent him into a sort of panic. He quickly jumped up looking around to see where the bomb had gone off, only to see that someone had dropped their suitcase.

"Relax Robert, you are at the airport. You are okay," he mumbled to himself, straightening out his uniform and taking his seat again, trying to ignore the stares he was getting from a couple sitting across from him. He looked up, catching the couple looking at him

"Thank you for your service," the man said quickly trying to make it seem like nothing out of the ordinary happened. Robert just nodded with a little smile in response.

"So Marines?" the lady asked, trying to start a conversation

"Yes, ma'am," Robert replied, it was taking every ounce of self control he had to not sound annoyed.
"That's wonderful. Where were you stationed?" she asked

"Sorry ma'am, but that is classified," he replied, pulling out his phone pretending he got a text, hoping to cut the conversation short. He had texted Andy letting her know that he landed in New York but she hasn't replied yet, so he assumed she was at a fire, otherwise he would have called her.

"Oh sorry, what did you specialize in,...Sergeant Sullivan?" the woman asked squinting her eyes to read his name tag.
"I was a sniper, ma'am. I would train other marines to be the best snipers and I would go out and kill," he said. He made sure to say 'kill' hoping to scare her off, which worked because she just nodded and stopped talking to him.

He checked his watch, he just wanted to go home.

After about two hours worth of delays they finally started boarding. He quickly found his seat and tried to sleep.

After fighting fire after fire, Andy was finally able to go home. She saw the texts that Roberts flight was delayed so she probably could've stayed for a few more hours but she wanted to get home so she could clean up a little, and change into something nice. She knew she didn't have to, she knew he wouldn't care if she came to get him in tights and a sweatshirt, but she wanted to put some effort into her outfit. This will be the first time they are seeing each other in over a year. The last time they were together in person they had just resolved a huge fight that almost led to a breakup, so she wanted to look good.

She probably should've gotten a speeding ticket the way she drove home. Instead of the usual 20 minutes it only took her 10. She quickly began washing the dishes that have been in the sink for a few days now. She fixed the cushions on the couch plugged in an air freshener and made her way upstairs into their bedroom. She changed the sheets on the bed because it had definitely been a while since she did that. Picking up her clothes she had thrown onto the ground trying to find an outfit for that morning. Everything was coming together. She fixed things around the bathroom making sure all of Robert's things were restocked and in the place he usually had them. Once all that was done she was able to focus on herself. It would take her a while to get to the airport so she decided she would get ready now. She took a shower, wanting to get rid of the smoke smell that was still lingering in her hair and on her skin.

She probably tried on every outfit in her closet before choosing her favorite summer/fall dress and her shoes. She did one last glance around the apartment making sure everything was the way she wanted it. She looked at herself in the mirror one last time before walking out the door.

Parking the car she can feel the butterflies flying around in her stomach. What was she nervous for? Well she knew why she was nervous but it was an incredibly stupid reason. She hated herself for reading all those articles and blogs about soldiers coming home, being totally different from when they left. Taking a deep breath she walks into the airport suddenly feeling extremely overdressed walking in in a dress while everyone else is in sweats and t-shirts. She fiddles with the necklace he gave her before leaving for his tour, searching the arrivals board with her eyes looking for his flight. She saw the word 'Arrived' next to his flight number and the butterflies began to dance around some more. She was all fidgety, she could feel the people behind her watching her.

"Are you okay sweetie?" and older woman standing next to her asked, resting a reassuring hand on her arm

"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just here to pick up my boyfriend. He's coming back from being deployed today." Andy replied with a smile. Something about this lady made her feel like she could trust her. "It's just I spent the better half of the last two months reading all these articles about soldiers coming home and they aren't the same as when they left and they get triggered easily and the PTSD, and I'm just scared that he's going to be totally different and not want to be with me anymore." she let out in one breath

"Oh wow. I understand what you are saying. It's okay to be nervous. But the most important thing is to be there for him if he is a little different. Going to war to fight on behalf of a country is a scary thing. Neither one of us can even begin to imagine the stuff they've seen over there. So just be supportive. That's my advice." the older lady said smiling back at Andy

"What are you? A therapist or something. Because I just met you and you managed to calm every single nerve in my body," Andy laughed

"Yes I am actually," the lady said, digging into her purse. "Here is my card, in case he needs someone to talk to, or even if you need someone to talk to," she said handing Andy a card.

"Thank you," the sound of suitcases filled Andy's ears, her eyes shifted to the crowd of people who were coming out. She began to smile catching a glimpse of the white hat that she hasn't seen in over a year.

"Go on, love. Don't wait any longer. Run to him," the lady nudged

And Andy did just that once the majority of the people were out of the way and she could see her Robert clearly. She took off full sprint jumping into his arms. They were holding onto each other for dear life. People around the airport started clapping, watching the reunion of a Marine and his loved one.

Andy's face was buried in Robert's neck just taking a minute to breathe in his scent.

"I missed you so much, you don't even understand," Robert's voice was muffled by her hair.

Andy pulled her face out of his neck, tears falling from her eyes. "I love you so much. And I missed you so much,"

"I love you too, Baby." Andy got down putting her feet on the ground. Robert picked up his duffle bag, and wiped Andy's tears. Cupping her face in his hands he pulled her to him and kissed her. "Let's go home," he said, pulling away, intertwining their fingers and beginning to walk out the airport.

On their way out Robert got stopped a couple more times by people thanking him for his service and people congratulating him on coming back home alive. He didn't really feel like he should be congratulated for coming home but he wasn't going to let Andy know that.

"Do you get that alot?" Andy asked, only to be met with a confused fact from Robert. "People thanking you for your service and congratulating you on coming home and stuff,"

"Oh, yeah...yeah. I do," he said with a smile

The drive home was pretty silent except for the radio. It wasn't weird silence or anything. It was pretty comfortable.

Stopping at a stop light, Andy turned to look at her boyfriend. "Are you hungry? They just opened this really good take out place down the street. Or I can make you something at home if you prefer that," she asked

"I'm not really hungry for food," Robert replied. Andy watched as his signature smirk began to grow on his face.

"Oh yeah? What are you hungry for then? Anything I can get you?" she asked, focusing on the road.

"I don't think I told you how good you look in that dress,"

"No you didn't, but please tell me," Andy said with a laugh

"Well, you look absolutely gorgeous. You are absolutely beautiful," he said resting a hand on her thigh, slowly trailing it upward.

"Robert," Andy said in a warning tone

"What? I can't tell my wonderful girlfriend how beautiful she is," he asked trying to make himself look innocent while his hand found its way under her dress

"At least let me get into the driveway," Andy laughed putting on her indicator

She pulled into the driveway and they both quickly got out of the car. They both ran to the front door, which was quickly unlocked and slammed shut.
Robert pushed Andy up against it, pulling her in for a passionate, yet aggressive kiss. Andy jumped up wrapping her legs around his waist kissing him again. "Kitchen" she mumbled against his lips.

He looked confused at first but did not question it. He carried them over to the kitchen as fast as his legs and mind could take him with Andy trailing kisses up and down his neck. He rested her on the ground against the island

"Couldn't wait for the bedroom?" Robert questioned with a laugh

"I can't wait any longer, I want you to take me right here...right now," she said, shivering at his touch. Roberts hand trailed Andy's figure, before moving it back up, pulling down the zipper of her dress, allowing it to fall to the ground.

"You get more and more gorgeous everytime I see you," Robert flushed his body against her, as he began to mark her neck.

Soft moans left her lips as his hand trailed down her body and his fingers finally slipping down to her core. His fingers worked themselves in a rhythmic motion reveling in the whimpers. Curling his fingers as soon as they entered her, he felt her body tense up more and more with each movement. He caught her moan in his mouth as he kissed her passionately.

"Robert-" she let out pleading whispers as he sped up his pace. They both knew how close she was and when the first knot untied Robert watched as Andy bit down hard against her bottom lip.

"God, I fucking love you," Robert breathed out lifting her ching and attacking her neck with his lips. Andy's hands moved to his shirt unbuttoning it slowly so it didn't get messed up and tossing it on the dining room table. Then she unbuckled his pants allowing him to take them off. And there he was standing in front of her in nothing but his boxers, for the first time in over a year. She couldn't resist him any more. He picked her up, resting her on top of the counter, coming close to stand between her legs. She felt his growing erection pressing against her.

"It's been a while, are you sure you want this?" Robert asked. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her.

"Yes, I do. Lets just make it slow," she said letting her head fall against his, locking longing eyes with him.

The moment she felt it, bliss took over. He kept his pace slow and loving, waiting for Andy's approval. It was just like she remembered it, he was just how she remembered, always caring so deeply when they were intimate. She clawed at his back when he started picking up his pace. "Faster," Andy mumbled, wrapping her arms around his neck pulling his lips to hers. Soft moans of her name mixed with her pleasure filled cried for his, sounded like music to their ears. He rode this out, shuddering as she began to clench around his, then he pulled away. Andy let out a whine as she felt him fade away.

"Patience, my love," he turned her around, pushed her against the counter and leaned against her, "I want to love every inch of you" he said trailing kissing down the back of her neck.

He slipped back in hitting her where she needed him most, "Robert-" she gripped onto the counter. She whimpered as she felt her climax near, and she could tell that he was near as well. They both moaned in pleasure as they felt their orgasms take over.

"I love you Robert," Andy said kissing him

"I love you so much more," he said. "Lets go to bed," The two walked up the stairs completely disregarding their discarded clothes all over the kitchen and the counter that they needed to disinfect, marking those off for tasks they would complete later.

The two lay in bed wrapped in eachothers arms exhausted by their previous activities. Robert's head laid on Andy's chest, he was lulled to sleep by her heart beat. She smiled down at him brushing his cheek lightly with her hand. "Thank you for coming back home to me,"

The reunion we've been waiting for. They also got a little freaky deaky...in the kitchen.

Honestly I dont think I would eat off there kitchen counters after reading all these fanfics.

Hope you enjoyed!
